Cubs got three touchdowns yesterday and a safety off the Padres. Speaking of which, our fantasy football content is beginning to start rocking and/or rolling, or maybe that’s rumbling and tumbling. Look at Grey pretending to know anything about football! Stop me if you’ve heard this before Dansby Swanson–stopped. Sorry, that’s it! Don’t say anymore! I can’t take hearing anymore about this guy who did zero up until last Tuesday, when I said he was droppable. Yesterday, he went 3-for-5, 4 runs, 8 RBIs with his 14th, 15th and 16th homer. Gonna try something real quick…Ya know, I’m thinking Vlad Jr. is droppable in some leagues…Okay, now go off! Anything? Hmm, hold on, one more…Sorry, but Tatis and Machado are waiver wire fodder…Anything? Ugh! Dansby Swanson, what kind of nonsense is this? Did you start doing PEDs at approximately 4 PM ET last Tuesday? What an absolute ludicrous run. First 70 games, seven homers. Last 12 games, nine homers, but people truly tell me there’s no such thing as a hot and cold player. Swanson went from one of the worst hitters in baseball to an all-time stretch. He has 26 RBIs in 10 games. Only other players to do that are Joe D., Jimmie Foxx, Lou Gehrig and Mel Ott. Stop me if–Dansby Swanson! Stopped! Anyway, here’s what else I saw yesterday in fantasy baseball:
Pete Crow-Armstrong – 2-for-4, 2 runs, 3 RBIs and a slam (19) and legs (21). Being on the verge of 20/20 on the 1st day of July, while hitting .287? I absolutely mea culpa as I genuflect in his direction. That’s just impressive. I kinda wonder who accomplished 20/20 earliest in the season, but I don’t have the strength to do a stat finder. Only guy I searched was Acuña’s 2023 40/70 season and he accomplished 20/20 on June 30th, so not much earlier than PCA.
Seiya Suzuki – 3-for-5, 3 runs, 3 RBIs and his 13th homer. Seiya ball! Also, in this game, Michael Conforto (3-for-4, 4 runs, 4 RBIs) hit his 6th and 7th homer, and Michael Busch (2-for-6, 2 runs) hit his 11th homer. If this is the wind blowing out and the new bouncy ball? Sign me up for Busch! Hey now! Give me Seiya! Bye-bye! Conforto–Okay, won’t go that far, but maybe he’s a hot schmotato.
Walker Buehler – 4 IP, 9 ER, ERA at 4.61. Buehler…[Ben Stein gives up nine runs]…Buehler?
Sung-Mun Song – 2-for-4 and his 1st homer. Fun fact! Sung-Mun Song is the first Neil Diamond song to hit a home run.
Will Vest – Placed on the IL with an elbow issue. Will Vest about to be Will 401K.
Kevin McGonigle – 1-for-5, 2 runs and his 7th homer. A’la a movie police chief, “McGonigle!”
Troy Melton – 6 1/3 IP, 0 ER, 3 baserunners, 7 Ks, ERA at 2.05. Starters in Yankee Stadium is the new “Starters in Arlington.”
Will Warren – 5 1/3 IP, 2 ER, 5 hits, zero walks, 7 Ks, ERA at 3.73. Streamonator liked this start, and hates his next one, and I think that’s where we are with Warren until further notice.
Amed Rosario – 1-for-5 and his 9th homer. Tatis and Vlad Jr.’s struggles have been long-documented, and I want to drown in those documents when I see Amed Rosario has nine homers.
Reynaldo Lopez – 5 IP, 1 ER, 3 baserunners, 6 Ks, ERA at 3.31. Admittedly, I’m a sucker for this guy, but I started picking him up in leagues prior to this game even being over. In the rotation, which he is, ReyLo can be a number three starter for a month or two.
Ozzie Albies – 2-for-4, 2 runs, 2 RBIs and his 13th homer. The lack of steals (one on the year) has brought down his overall fantasy value. Seems like nothing, but 25 homers this year with two steals is a lot different than 25 homers and 12 steals. Greedy on his bounce back. Yeah, so? What are you, his over-protective cousin, Guillermo? Leave me alone, Gill!
Michael McGreevy – 6 IP, 2 ER, 4 baserunners, 3 Ks, ERA at 3.12. 2nd start in a row the Cards’ meh starters have delivered and now that I look at the Braves’ recent game log, wow, stream starters vs. the Braves.
Trea Turner – 2-for-5, 2 runs, 3 RBIs and his 10th homer, and 3rd homer in three games. When I said to Sell Treat Urner, someone commented, who would buy him? Well, he heard that person. Not me!
Brandon Marsh – 2-for-4, 2 runs and his 15th homer, and third homer in three games. Marsh is about to enter the top 20 on the Player Rater. The top 20 overall!
Alec Bohm – 1-for-4, 2 runs, 2 RBIs and his 10th homer, hitting .223. Bohm’s mother celebrated Alec reaching double digits in homers by staging his home for a sale he didn’t know about.
Zack Wheeler – 4 2/3 IP, 4 ER, ERA at 2.36. The ball be bouncier than following the lyrics at karaoke.
Paul Skenes – 4 IP, 7 ER, ERA at 3.62. I truly appreciate people twisting themselves into pretzels trying to explain how Skenes was still a good draft pick. Would prefer Cinnabon, but pretzels it is! Oh, and someone is thinking, “Wow, you forgive Wheeler but not Skenes, you’re handsome but dumb.” Yeah, Wheeler’s ADP was 200 overall and Skenes’s was 12!
Henry Davis – 1-for-4 and his 7th homer, 2nd homer in five games. Hendry!
Cedric Mullins – 2-for-4, 2 RBIs and his 9th homer, 2nd homer in two games. Hot schmotato alert!
Junior Caminero – 1-for-4, 2 RBIs and his 24th homer, 6th straight games with a home run. If it wasn’t for Dansby, Juco Loco would be the talko of the towno. We haven’t even dug up Dale Long to follow Caminero around we’ve been so distracted!
Shane McClanahan – 6 IP, 0 ER, 3 hits, zero walks, 4 Ks, ERA at 3.05. Pitch around Witt and throw 71-MPH eephusses. Sorry, was just me game planning how I could even get out the Royals.
Seth Lugo – 6 IP, 3 ER, 9 hits, zero walks, 7 Ks, ERA at 4.20. “Did someone say 4.20?!” That’s Cody Bellinger.
Noelvi Marte – 1-for-4, 2 RBIs and his 5th homer. Before he got to 2nd base on his home run trot, Francona went to the home plate ump with a new lineup card, asking Marte to be removed from the game.
Andrew Abbott – 5 IP, 2 ER, 10 baserunners (5 BBs), 3 Ks, ERA at 3.88. His ERA has been vaguely okay. His WHIP? Awful! His Ks? Awful! His home park? Awful!
Shane Drohan – 5 2/3 IP, 2 ER, 7 baserunners, 7 Ks, ERA at 3.12. This is considered a “bad” start for Brewers starters.
Aaron Ashby – 1 1/3 IP, 0 ER, ERA at 3.16 and his 12th win. Oh eff off.
Mickey Moniak – 3-for-4, 2 runs, 3 RBIs and his 14th homer, and 2nd homer in two games. Sorta similar to Albies. Wish Moniak was stealing more (1 steal). The difference between Moniak’s 25-homer pace with two steals and 10 steals is dramatic. Yes, I’m trying to speak it into existence. It’s The Secret.
Hunter Goodman – 1-for-4, 2 RBIs and his 27th homer, and hit .250 in June with 13 homers. Cal Raleigh was drafted in the top 20 in some leagues.
Kyle Karros – 1-for-3, 2 runs and his 6th homer, and hitting .258. Karros vs. Clemens, this Home Run Derby, it’s about the Nepos!
Brent Rooker – Will have season-ending knee surgery. If this happened in April, I would’ve broke down in tears, but now I’m hardened over like a callous that Lodolo can’t grow on his blisters. I haven’t really had Rooker all year, so what’s three more months without him.
Shea Langeliers – 2-for-5 and his 20th homer, hitting .265. Thank you, Mr. Bangeliers, may I have another?
Jonah Heim – 2-for-3, 2 runs, 2 RBIs and his 8th homer. Hit ’em with the Heim!
Will Smith – Dodgers announced Will, uh, will be out through the All-Star Break. Yeah, no kidding. Dodgers are on a cycle of seven stars play at a time. Once Smith returns, Yamamoto, Freeman or Pages will be out for three weeks.
Matt Chapman – Hit the IL with an ab strain. That’s why I *pinkie to mouth* abstrain from doing sit-ups.
Trevor McDonald – 6 IP, 0 ER, 1 hit, zero walks, 5 Ks, ERA at 4.42. Just dropped him in an NL-Only league for Dennis Santana. Don’t ask. A’la Richie from The Bear, “Don’t ask!” Forget it, I have to be like a shark and keep moving forward and McDonald had a farm and a 5.31 ERA in the minors in 142 1/3 IP last year.
Victor Bericoto – 2-for-4, 2 RBIs and his 4th homer, and third homer in the week. From a shark to…”…Bericoto!” sung like Barracuda.
Heliot Ramos – 2-for-4, 2 runs, 2 RBIs and his 6th homer, and 2nd homer in three games, and 2nd time this week I’m saying something like he’s rosterable in all mixed leagues. And that’s me paraphrasing me!
Zac Gallen – 5 2/3 IP, 6 ER, ERA at 6.36. I don’t know how it happened, but Gallen become one of, if not the, worst pitchers in baseball. Patrick Corbin is out-pitching him. By a lot!
Josh Bell – 1-for-4, 2 RBIs and his 11th homer, and 2nd homer in three games. Josh Bell’s videographer, “Should I send your home run clips to the Marlins? They have been winning, maybe they’re buying.” In a turtleneck, Josh Bell stares off into the mid-distance and finally says, “Send to every team.”
Luke Keaschall – 1-for-2, 3 runs and his 3rd homer. Honestly, forgot he existed. People were convinced Keaschall would be a star. Also, they thought that of Royce Lewis, Alex Kirilloff, Matt Wallner, Swayer Gipson–Hey, how we feeling about Walker Jenkins?
Kody Clemens – 1-for-5, 3 RBIs and his 14th homer, third homer in the week. If I were the Twins, I’d be selling Clemens too. There’s a chance Jeffers returns to a lineup where he has to bat nine times in different disguises.
Taj Bradley – 5 IP, 1 ER, 7 baserunners, 11 Ks, ERA at 3.86. Taj Ma-I-like-Ks. Watched a lot of this start, and some of those hits weren’t scorchers, but just-out-of-the-reachers. (Sorry, there was a sale on hyphens.) Bradley’s underlying numbers say he should be rostered in most shallow leagues, but the command makes it very likely he could have blowups like Otto in Airplane!.
Tatsuya Imai – 1 1/3 IP, 5 ER, ERA at 6.14. Starting Imai is like the scene in The Deer Hunter when they’re playing Russian roulette.
Corey Seager – Hit the IL with a bad back. He sounds like someone who’s about to get a $300 million, ten-year deal from the Rockies.
MacKenzie Gore – 5 IP, 5 ER, ERA at 4.31. I talk a lot about regrets, but I will say one of my biggest blessings is staying away from this schmohawk in every league. He goes into Cleveland to face one of the worst lineups currently in baseball and gets Gore’d.
Joey Cantillo – 5 IP, 2 ER, 8 baserunners (5 BBs), 4 Ks, ERA at 3.86. Whatever was ailing Gavin Williams last year (terrible command), well, I think Gavin sneezed on Cantillo.
David Fry – 1-for-3, 3 RBIs and his 5th homer. A Fry fly!
Austin Hedges – 1-for-3, 2 runs, 3 RBIs and his 2nd homer. Not sure if you saw but the other day Hedges got into a screaming match with Josh Naylor, saying to him no one likes him, which is just such a funny dig if you’re 12 years old. It’s also incredibly hilarious since Hedges is on a team with Bo Naylor, his brother. I am cackling. Then, I guess the childproof cap was open on Josh Naylor’s transgressions so Stone Garrett said, and this is insane and hilarious:
Okay, I still like Josh Naylor. I’m sorry!
— Razzball (@razzball.bsky.social) June 29, 2026 at 8:00 PM
Dean Kremer – 6 IP, 1 ER, 5 baserunners, 4 Ks, ERA at 3.18. I saw his ERA and I looked at the guys who I have on my teams, then back at Kremer, then back at my pitchers, then I forgot what I was doing and went for lunch. Streamonator kinda liked this start, and that seems fine for Kremer.
Leody Taveras – 1-for-3, 2 runs and a slam (3) and legs (10), hitting .248. Couldn’t help but see hitting behind Leody was Jackson Holliday (0-for-2, 1 run), who is hitting .196. He was supposed to be the best prospect in decades!
Tyler O’Neill – 1-for-2 and his 3rd homer. They should have a Home Run Derby where it’s the biggest muscle-bound guy like O’Neill vs. Nasim Nunez, who is listed as “127 pounds soaking wet.”
Ryan Helsley – Was unavailable, and seen grabbing at his elbow. Ah, cool, cool. [Tommen falling out the window] I’d lean Yennier Cano, but it could be Rico Garcia or even Tyler Wells or Andrew Kittredge.
Noah Schultz – 4 1/3 IP, 3 ER, ERA at 5.86, as he was activated from the IL. Seems still not right, but [looking at his season-long stats] he hasn’t been right all year. Or maybe that is right and we’re wrong. Whoa.
Sam Antonacci – 2-for-4 and his 5th homer. He hit .318 in June with three homers and three steals. Anyone wanna guess where that landed him on the 30-day Player Rater? Same as Carson Benge. It was 50th overall. Not sure what I was building towards here. The big reveal is he was solid? Wow! Is it wow? Who cares? Let’s move on.
James Wood – 2-for-4, 2 runs, 3 RBIs and his 22nd homer. He has a 50% HardHit%. Wood, indeed.
Andres Chaparro – 1-for-2, 2 RBIs and a home run. He’s the Nats’ replacement for LuisGarcia Jr. vs. lefties. You know, LuGaJu, one of the top hitters of June. So, what do you think Chaparro has done this year? Give it a guess! He hits third and replaces one of the top hitters! Yesterday was his 1st home run of the season and he’s hitting .170.
Nasim Nunez – 1-for-4 and his 1st homer. His homer would’ve been a home run in 30 of 30 other parks if he had Tyler O’Neill’s muscles.
Payton Tolle – 3 IP, 6 ER, ERA at 3.39. This was actually a tough matchup. Do not underestimate the Nats’ lineup. Even when they sit LuGaJu and CJ Abrams.
Freddy Peralta – 4 IP, 5 ER, ERA at 4.81. I said to avoid him this year. This was no great feat by me. Anyone with half a brain told you to avoid him this year, so that brings me to my question: Mets’ GM David Stearns has how much of a brain? 45%? 30%? 1%? Number not presented in the choices?
Carson Benge – 2-for-4, 2 RBIs and his 10th homer, hitting .259, as he hits leadoff. Fun fact! Benge is a dog’s name.
Francisco Lindor – 1-for-3 and his 4th homer, hitting .216, and his 2nd homer in three games. Mets’ owner Steve Cohen confirmed rumors that Lindor and Soto hated each other last year. Rather than reconciling their differences, they just got all Mets fans to hate them this year.
Sean Keys – 1-for-4, 3 RBIs and his 1st major league homer. Only three behind Vlad Jr.! And Myles Straw (1-for-1, 3 RBIs) hit his 3rd homer. One off the Vlad Jr. pace!
George Springer – Hit the paternity list. You follow these players for so long, and you know when they’re “old” for baseball players, then they go on paternity list and you’re like, “That old fart is having a baby? Oh, wait, he’s only 36 years old.”
Josh Naylor is seemingly better at scaring the shit out of his team-mates than hitting with the bases loaded. Clown.
Happy Randy Dobnak day everyone!
Tip your Uber drivers well
so i have to deal with Juco Loco instead of El Camino? *sigh*
WTF Eovaldi? Did he put it on a tee after the 4th to make it a bit easier for them?
yay that was me who said that about trea…my first comment commented upon in a future blurb…what a day
…but what i said was that no one WAS buying…i’ve been shopping trea since predraft in a keeper league him and Gunner absolutely killing me
haha
Who is the drop among Canzone,Dominguez and Braden?
Thanks!
Braden
Memo to the 27 remaining teams…the only 3-letter acronym Chris Paddack needs to see on his next contract = K B O. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
-R. Manfred

How does he keep getting work
drop adames for brooks lee?
Sure
Baz or Jump ROS?
Jump
This year only in 5c5 roto with OPS, 16 team league – Chase DeLauter or Braden Montgomery?
Thanks!
Chase
Cavalli a 7-game suspension. Probably will be shortened of course.
Yeah, will just have a start pushed back a day or something
Who is the drop? J Bauers, B Lee, T Ward? (I’ve been thinking Ward might bounce back…but here we are at the all star break. I wonder if he gets bundled with a trade to another team…)
Ward
Hey Grey. I know you speculated a possible IL stint for Weathers, but the news seems to read along the lines of “he’ll look to bounce back.” How serious are you about dropping Weathers? He and Framber are the back end of my staff.
Sale
Eovaldi
Messick
Weathers
Valdez
Drop one of both of Weathers and Valdez for Trevor Rogers and Cavalli? 6×6, QS instead of Wins.
Thanks!
I’d want Cade and Rogers
I have lots of good SP matchups next week (including 2-start guys). I just noticed that Skenes has two starts next week (Atl and Mil).
I’m actually thinking of sitting Skenes (he’s destroyed my ratios last few weeks). On a scale of 1-10, How insane is this?
I’d like to see your staff if you can afford to sit Skenes. Good for you!
12 team. Includes Miz; Ryan; Eovaldi; McLean; Meyer; Wrobleski; Melton; and Jump. I don’t believe I’d sit him, but a real possibility.
Start your top guys
With recent performance, is Skenes a top guy?
Yes
SON rates these fellas at varying levels of dogshit (TBF Spencer is $1.6), but if you’re picking one, who are you going with?
Arrighetti v TB
C Scott @ ATL
Holmes v NYM
Peterseon v STL
Arri
Need to drop one of E. Sheehan, Dustin May or Christian Scott.
Thanks
May
Please rank ros:
Duran, Teo. Hernandez, Benge, Antonacci
Thanks!
Teoscar, Benge
(1) Two of my SP/RP guys appear to have lost their SP role;. Which one should I keep:
Montero, Assad?
(2) Which is the better pickup (expect to pick 1): Leahy, Manaea?
(3) In a 14 team FAAB league ($100 budget; $50 remain): Are they both worth a bid over the loser in (1)
1. Keider 2. Leahy 3. No
2 starting pitching questions since I apparently I can’t run starting pitching staff in an embarrassingly shallow mixed league:
1) Which one of these do you prefer?
FoGriff vs Pit (Keller)
Williams vs White Sox (Kay)
Detmers vs BoSox (Bennett)
2) You starting Hunter Greene of the DL at home vs ‘Bawlmore and Brandon Young?
I’m mainly concerned about ratios, wins, and not raging when l look at scores on my phone while visiting family over the weekend.
Not Grey…but as a fellow Greene owner, I can’t get this guy back into my lineup quick enough. Hoping he carves up the likes of Mayo, Cowser, Beavers, Alexander, Holliday, etc. 5 IP for the win and 9 Ks. LFG!
I hear ya, but command issues after a long layoff concern me and it’s a starts limit league so I’d rather not burn one for 4+ innings of meh.
Valid points. Tito will definitely have him on a short leash.
1. all of them? I guess Detmers 2. Sure
This is the main problem with this league: too many options. Much like the steering wheel on my crotch, it drives me nuts.
Haha
In a 14 team H2H OBP league would you trade away Kyle Tucker for Schlittler or Sanchez? Here is my roster for context
C Baldwin
1 Kurtz
2b Albies
3b Sal Stew
SS Mcgonigle
OF Tucker
OF Harris
OF Rafaela
Utility – CJ Abrams
Utility – Montgomery
Bench- Naylor, Chandler Simpson, Caissie
SPs: Hunter Brown, Bradish, EdRod, Hancock, D. Martin, Roupp, Chandler
Would prefer to trade Naylor for a lower level SP if possible since I have a little logjam and preserves my OF. Thoughts?
Sure
No, I’d prefer Tucker for Sanchez (Or Schlittler)
Hey Grey,
I am currently playing Eldridge at 1B and Mead at 3B…would you replace either with any of the following: O’Hearn, Burger, Rumfield, Paredes, Steer, L. Garcia, Clemens, Goldy, B. Lee, Durbin, E. Suarez (could also move Mead to 1st and just pick up a 1B or keep Mead at 3rd and just pick up a 1B).
Thanks!
Goldy and Clemens
Melton or J. Jones ROS – standard weekly roto

What type of pitcher SP or RP should I target in a points league Where you keep players forever for Konnor Griffin?
Keep Konnor Griffin forever
In a jar? In my basement?
I’m picturing more like a Zed/”Gimp” Pulp Fiction trunk. Then someone can say “Bring out the Griff”…
Yes!
10 tm H2H keeper w/ OBP and SLG categories
My Tucker (non-keeper) and Gunnar ($17)
For
1. Carroll ($17)
2. Caminero ($7)
3. Wood ($7)
Would you do any/all of these?
I am currently in 2nd place.
I’d take Caminero, Wood or Corbin, that order
This is funny, my potential Rooker replacement choices are mostly Italian: Caglianone, Canzone, Bell, or a likely-power-sapped Vinny P. coming off the IL soon. Could benefit from help with both power and average. Could you rank?
LurveLurveLuveyas!!!!
Cags, Canzone
Lurves!
LURVEYA AND THANKS!!!!
No problem
Love the “Hendry” bit. I’d be first in line to see Joseph D’Onofrio and Lillo Brancato in “A(nother) Bronx Tale”. Or, we could get Christopher Serrone to join them and make “Bestfellas”. Grey, you’re in with Hollywood circles…make this happen!
Haha, yes!
Trevino with a 358′ HR against Mis…🙄
Didn’t realize MIL park was so small.
It only hurt your WHIP though, as they all went down as unearned runs.
Ouch
Don’t know what Miz is doing here with that cutter. You throw a buck-oh-two and no one can catch up. Go with that.
He’s so good that this is what a blowup looks like for him: 5 runs (1 earned) and 10Ks. The great ones seem to walk between the raindrops.
Thought the scoring that wiped off 4 ER was a bit charitable. Like my brother said about a similar situation with Skenes recently, “Something tells me the Michael Lorenzens of the world aren’t getting those decisions.”
Yeah, official scorers absolutely protect popular pitchers.
Miz overrated! (Kidding)
The boredom of continued success can get the best of ’em.
Haha
Esmerlyn with both Pirates RBI today. This hot little schmotato, or since he’s a rookie are we dealing with a legit bat for the Pirates. He’s got 6 HR in 57 ABs, that’s on pace for …hahaha. JK. What is your thoughts for ROS projections?
I don’t know, maybe 10 HRs
C’mon man, plant a flag. Ha ha.
10 seems more than fair, but we might have ourselves an Aristides Aquino situation here. Buckle up, and enjoy the ride with E Valdez. Give me 15 more HR, this EV has long range battery.
Okay, sounds good!
I finally let Marsee go, I stubbornly held him too long. Would you pick up N Nunez or Cameron Cauley for back SS/2b. and looking for steals primarily?
Nasim
Drop D.Kremer or Boyd for Sproat?
I know youre a Boyd fan as am i BUT im trying to get ahead of another Milwaukee SP being good.
Kremer
which of these would you prefer most at MI, Schmitt, Edmen, Clement, Paredes, Clemens
Clemens
Do you think Duran will ever figured it out this year or should I drop him for
Benge
DeLauter
Moniak

2. Picked up Luis Garcia right before his hot streak. Only regret is benching him when he doesn’t start; dude still gets in game and drives in 2 runs.
Yep haha 2. Yup!
@Grey: weekly roto. looking at starting one of these guys next week. who do you “like”?

12 team points keeper league where deGrom would be 21 next year.
Would you send deGrom and Peralta for Luzardo and Jose Ramirez?
Works for me
16 team h2h league. I need a closer bad. Cade Smith owner asked for Cal Raleigh straight up and I said yes (I’ve got Dingler). He then backed out. Not sure what else I can/should include to get the deal done?
Seems fair
He asked about my Elly. It’s a h2h dynasty league, he countered Cade + Perdomo for my Elly? Seems like alot for Elly?
No too much
I agree thankyou
No problem
Other players he has worth mention: Delauter, J.Chourio, Jordan Walker, Woo
Would you drop Peralta for Lopez?
no idea who these players are
Single C 12 teamer. Who has most value ROS…
W.Smith, Jeffers, Kirk, Heim, Mack, Caratini

I currently have Ohtani. Bryce Miller. Eovaldi. Skubal. Rasmussen and Griffin as starting pitchers in auction keeper league. I was offered his Bazzana for my Miller. Thinking Bazzana might be a great keeper at $1 cost or am I giving up too much. Thanks
Sounds decent
Are you not a big fan of Kremer? His stats look great to me but you’re the expert.
No, he does look solid this year, it’s 17 IP, and his career numbers are not solid
Ok thanks Grey
No problem
Not against trying him until he blows up, but he will blow up, eventually
He is exactly the type of pitcher that you see is on a good run and stream against the Rockies at home. Then proceeds to give up 5 runs. Oh wait, that is precisely what he did to me last year.
Haha
Hi Grey,
2.Would you start or sit Valdez at Tex?
3.It it time to cut Austin Riley?
1. Start 2. Start 3. yes
Thank you!
No problem
Great write up Grey and what a heater from Dansby!

Dynasty question for you Grey, I have an influx of players. Should I trade my Carson Benge, Colt Emerson and Gage Jump for Ronald Acuna? I’m nervous of the injury history
Acuna side
Late mornin’ to you Grey! This write up was filled with gems. Love the Kremer bit.
Kinda funny and short Rooker story. I finally dropped him 2 weeks back in our 10 Team H2H Points only to have my hated league nemesis pick him up after bidding $23 FAAB out of $100. Then came the realization that Rooker was done, and that was so sweet!
Ok, so I need 2 Hitters to fill my lineup for next week in said 10 Teamer, and here are the possible drop options (all Pitchers):
M. Boyd, T. Melton, B. Sproat, E. Hancock, ERod, G. Jax.
Thanks very much Grey and Happy 250th!
Oh, and the other best part of the Rooker bit is the guy dropped him and added R. Ray!
Ha, nice!
Sproat, Jax — Thax!
Need to stream one…Bennett at Angels (Detmers), Holmes home vs Mets (Scott), Peterson home vs Cards (Pallante) or Pallante at Cubs? Not great I know but have to catch strikeouts and hopefully some decent ratios as I am trailing in my H2H matchup
Bennett
Do you think Terry is hurting that team more than helping? He doesn’t have Popi, Manny, Damon and company to write in his lineup daily. Elly looks like a shadow of himself notwithstanding his injuries. A once top 4/5 ranked fantasy player, behind the big 3 Otani-Judge -Witt, now sits at 55 or mid 5th round ranking. I loved the Francona signing when it was made a few seasons ago but maybe it’s time for the Ghosts of Marge Schott to admit the errors of their way and move in a different direction?
Meh, Tito’s awesome, I’m just kidding with the Marte thing…

12 team keep 10 mixed keeper league, are you holding Rooker as a keeper? Or let him go after what he did this year?
Thanks!
Different note, Cavalli or Melton ROS?

And are you buying Jump as a hold in 12 team mixed league? Top 25 ROS realistic?

I like Jump, but I wouldn’t start him at home — no, top 25 is not realistic
Got it, thanks!
No problem
Morning Grey!
Thoughts on Endy Rodriguez rest of season? I’ve got Logan O’Hoppe as my C2 right now, and wondering if it’s worth taking a crack at seeing if Endy is the real deal.
I’d try Endy
RIght on cue, Endy just jacked one out!
ENDY!
I read that in Short Round’s voice.
Haha
Hey Grey, I think I need to end my Randy Vazquez experiment. Would you drop him for one of the following? Our waivers aren’t free, so wondering if you think any of these guys could be good for ROS.
ReyLo
Jake Bennett
Drohan
B. Young
Seymour
You still roster Randy? Are in you in 60 team league?
LOL don’t be hurtful! I’ve got a lot of holes to fill, and pitching hasn’t been my biggest need. Also we have to pay for each claim.
Haha
ReyLo or Ian
Add any of these 3B over Arenado? Sanoja, David Hamilton, Oswald Peraza, JP Crawford, Colt Keith, Blaze Jordan
I’d try Blaze
Would you drop Cole Carrigg or Jo Adell for Jacob Gonzalez?
Nah
Hi,
12 Teams dynasty league :
Pick one:
C.Walker
Vaughn
K.Clemens
Caratini
Thanks
Jogon
Walker
Hey Grey!
Honest truth: last week when you mentioned Imai after his 2 solid starts, I thought wait n see..He has 2 maybe 3 good starts, then all the wheels fall off (with MEH in between). Not just bad starts, but car crashes into a schoolbus that rams into a nursing home, and then a plane crashes on top kinda starts (see 7/1, 6/12, 5/12, 4/10) I say this cause I was vested in him, dropped, and was monicling. Then someone picked him up instead. Now I chuckle as I hear the bullet wizzing by my head..Next start will most likely be meh, and then a stellar performance, only to repeat the cycle. I’m out. never mention him again. lol
1) Top 3 WORST Lineups, in your opinion? (clearly KC). Curious if you put CLE in there or if COL and NYM take the cake)
Thanks!
Padres are awful, Red Sox are not much better…Giants, Guards, Mets…all bad…
Col isn’t bad

Great stuff, Vin! Love this!
Swanson, ha!
With so many risers and fallers, I love Junior at 15, reminding us all how happy we are on that rare occasion when a guy simply returns his draft day value. He makes it look so easy as he’s still climbing!
Last year it was Micheal Harris. This year Dansby Swanson. Harris showed up at Citifield hitting under .200, had a big series and hasn’t looked back. This year it was Dansby. 15 RBI in that 3 game series vs the Mets. 8 days later he’s 10 pts behind Neto. i bet he’s doing all of it on benches all over fantasy baseball. If you want Vlad to wake up, he needs to play 3 at the Mets, unfortunately just playing the Mets only helped his defense.
Haha, please for Vladdy’s sake
The Eldridge breakout has turned into eldritch horror. Is he a “hold at all costs” prospect or if you needed the roster spot would you move on
Not a hold at all costs
Maybe a hold until after the Coors series?
1) Can you rank these SPs for next week please?
2-start Cantillo (@MIN and @MIA)
Rey-Lo @STL
Drohan @PIT
Kremer vCHC
2) All these guys streamers in an 11-team 5×5 league? Or not even that?
McDonald joined the multiple slot owners on the 100 Best Fantasy Starts list. His second entry is the Giants’ 4th:

67 Trevor McDonald Jul 1 @ARI

Good stuff, Vin!
20% of this list are pitchers vs Yankees and Phillies lineups.
That is really shocking. I expected a lot more Padres, Red Sox, Royals, Rangers.
God he’s miserable
So crazy on McDonald considering he was barely rosterable
Time to cut bait with Austin Riley?
Yes
Patiently waiting for Grey to declare E Suarez droppable.
Please! Someone drop him!
I know someone did, because I have him on 1 team now.
Haha
Please rank Benge, Cam Smith, Owen Caissie, Kody Clemens, AJ Ewing and Jacob Gonzalez.
For pitchers please rank Cavalli, Sproat, Mize and Bennett.
Thank you!
Benge, Smith, Kody
Mize, Cade, Sproat
Would you drop any of Sproat, Scott, Logan H, Roupp or Kremer for Taj in a Dynasty?
Roupp
I think the thing that is most impressive about PCA this year is the jump in his walks and his OBP (I have him in my OBP league). His Home Run and SB pace this year is a little ahead of last year’s totals, but not a ton (35/40 pace this year, 31/36 totals last year) and his Runs+RBIs pace is in the same ball park as last year’s totals as well, 200 vs. 186. His average is 40 points higher this year (.287 vs. .247) but his OBP is _87_ points higher: a pretty terrible .287 last year, and a great .374 this year, which is driven to a large part by his increase in walk rate. He’s such a streaky player that all of his other batting stats could easily fall back in line with or below last year’s, but perhaps the increase in walks and OBP is showing a young player developing better plate discipline?
Agreed! He does seem actually better this year
As a little league coach myself, I assume that Andres Chaparro’s mom called and yelled about her son’s playing time.
HA!
Regarding Imai: it’s not Russian roulette if there’s 5 bullets in the gun.
HA
Swanson has had a hell of a week for those who have him. Not to take away from him but he did hit a grand slam off of a catcher on a 43 mph pitch. I am fully on board with fantasy stats being void when a position player comes in to pitch. I am sure this won’t happen ever since the automatic scoring on sites won’t be able to make that adjustment easily.
Yeah
It’s worse than you think. That was actually Ashby’s 12th win.
Yeah, but he only has 4 holds and 0 saves. Ashby, we’re rostering you for reliever stats, get it together!!
Ha
Oh, oops, damn it!
wire has Durran, Moniak, Cam Smith and Clemens. have a spot open now that Rooker is gone for the year. How do you rank those four?
Moniak, Cam
In my 12-team weekly points league Imai had 40 and 35 before dropping -12 tonight. It’s tough to say the juice isn’t worth the squeeze but I think I have to get rid of him and play matchups?
Also would you rather have Jarren Duran or Heliot Ramos?
Get rid of Imai
Ramos
