Grey Projections – Grey has produced fantasy baseball projections @ Razzball for several years as part of his yearly preseason rankings. His projections have performed admirably against more mathy solutions – particularly given that his projections are release pre-March when playing time estimates are more hazy.

Position Eligibility – 20 Games in last season for ESPN and ‘2 Catcher’ formats.   5 Games for Yahoo.

Grey’s 2015 Pre-Season projections are missing inning pitched on the Player Rater.

How would I use your rankings in CBS H2H points league? Lots of points for IP and W’s. Thanks

    • I would use the BaseballPress.com H2H point calculator that uses our projections

Last year I used a tool of yours (Razzball) that assisted me in my draft. It tracker my picks and which stats I need. I cant remember the name of it!

        @Lenny:

For some reason they weren’t loading all morning for me… Now that I’m back home, I can see them.

Are these $ values meant for any league format in particular, or are they more of a tool to help illustrate the gaps between players?

I want to create a composite $ ranking using Grey’s valuations and steamer/razzball’s valuations for 12 team yahoo leagues to help me with my auctions, but I’m thinking it’s probably more complicated than just averaging the two numbers. Any tips?

Just got sucked into a new dynasty late-season-draft league. 20 Teams, 30 draft positions … so I need pretty deep rankings. 6×6, head-to-head. Weekly scoring … 1 point.

Unfortunately, I need to make a slew of adjustments/research.

    1) BA is being replaced by OBP.
    2) Using XBH. (Would have *much* preferred the more stat-analysis/ranking-accessible TB category).
    3) Using K/BB (Would have *much* preferred the more stat-analysis/ranking-accessible K/9).

Would appreciate direction to a source (or sources) which might have XBH and K/BB as part of their analysis/rankings … OR … any suggestions on how to adjust the Razzball/Grey rankings.

Sadly, this d*mned draft is midnight of Wednesday July 6. Meh.

Grey, when will you do the broken down 2018 position-by-position-rankings with detailed write ups?

Grey, is there a way to filter out the AL players so I can see your NL-only ranks?

  10. Weird Fishes says:

@Grey: Are those your ranks though? For example, in your top 500, Goldy is the #1 NL player, but in the NL-only 10-team ranks you linked above, Turner is #1.

      They’re Rudy’s… same diff, it’s what I use for NL-only

Just a correction, didn’t see if anyone else caught it yet, but Shohei Ohtani is ranked twice. @ 83rd overall and @ 92nd overall. Loving these rankings Grey!

He’s ranked 3 times… As hitter, as pitcher, as hitter/pitcher

@Grey: Totally makes sense now. My apologies

Do you update these rankings throughout the season? Just curious to see where guys like Alex Wood might fall in your rankings.

Grey, I have been barred from the baseball forum for an unknown reason. Can you find out why?
