Yesterday, the Marlins called up Dax Fulton because. Dot dot dot? Is his whole name Dax Robby Snelling Fulton and he goes by his middle name? Wait, I’m hearing Robby Snelling is being called up. No, wait, that was someone saying my neighbor Rob passed out, and they needed smelling salts. Why are you telling me this, Cougs?! Let Fainting Rob lay there! I only want to know about Robby Snelling! Is he coming up or not? He is? [shakes the seashell that I had up to my ear to listen to] Damn it! The reception on this seashell sucks! So, all indications are Snelling is being called up to start Friday. He’s the real deal Shaquille O’Neal B. Real slippin’ on a banana peel, and I don’t rhyme that lightly. Here’s what Itch said previously, “What are we doing? What’s going on? Snelling is striking out 37.2 percent of the guys he sees and has allowed just two earned runs over his last three starts. But we have to keep watching Chris Paddack. That’s the rule. That’s the goal now. Someone take out Grey with a spiked bat!” What? I do like how crazed Itch is about the logic of Paddack in the rotation. Thankfully, Paddack is gone now. Itch also said previously, “In 11 Triple-A starts last season, Snelling recorded a 1.27 ERA and 0.99 WHIP with 81 strikeouts and 17 walks in 63.2 innings. He might’ve been a major leaguer a month ago if Miami was as incentivized as I am to see Grey’s blood.” Oh c’mon! How do these lines get past our editor? Snelling might be the biggest pitching prospect of the year. Might. Worth it obviously in all leagues to find out. Anyway, here’s what else I saw yesterday in fantasy baseball:
Eury Perez – 5 IP, 5 ER, ERA at 5.01. Think I’ve said this every time he’s pitched but he reminds me of Bradish. At some point, he’ll click and he’ll be lights-out, but who knows when.
Pete Alonso – 1-for-5, 3 RBIs and his 7th homer. Albombso!
Brandon Young – 6 IP, 3 ER, 7 baserunners, 5 Ks, ERA at 4.35. Interesting first name, first time I’ve seen it before. Braaaaan don? Is that right? He should shorten it to BDon. So, Young’s stats are terrible, and I wouldn’t use the Streamonator for him, but nice start, I suppose.
Andrew Vaughn – 2-for-4, 3 RBIs and his 1st homer. Welcome back to the Club, AV! Why did you like Pluribus so much? Kind of a bore. I get it, it’s a stand-in for AI, but meh.
Brandon Sproat – 4 IP, 0 ER, ERA at 5.87. To the tune of Slip Slidin Away, “Dip, divin’ away,” that’s Sproat’s 91 MPH change. Don’t think Sproat’s out of the woods entirely, but maybe he’s coming upon a picnic area that’s near the woods’ edge. Still needs to be more economical, but was best he’s looked. That’s a call to cyclops with a monocle.
Aaron Ashby – 2 IP, 0 ER, ERA at 2.35. Don’t talk much about middle relievers, but he leads the major leagues with six wins. An emoji that is speechless and just mutters something.
Andre Pallante – 6 IP, 5 ER, ERA at 4.34. If you’re relying on Pallante, your fantasy team might be better off with palliative care. Got your ass!
Shane McClanahan – 5 2/3 IP, 0 ER, 3 baserunners, 4 Ks, ERA at 2.60. First Sproat, now McClanahananananananan, and that’s the best I’ve seen both of them look all year. McClanahananananananan hasn’t been terrible, but Kevin Cash is the worst yanking him at 69 pitches, and most days that kind of pitch count isn’t going to let him get out of the fifth.
Michael Soroka – 6 1/3 IP, 1 ER, 9 baserunners, 6 Ks, ERA at 4.14. Has some of the best underlying stats in the majors. Yes, you should ignore the ERA on this one.
Brandon Lowe – 2-for-4 and his 9th homer. Don’t think about how you could’ve drafted Lowe at 2nd base and not have Tatis sitting in your 2nd base slot. Yes, I’m still thinking about it.
Paul Skenes – 8 IP, 0 ER, 2 hits, zero walks, 7 Ks, ERA at 2.36. He’s gonna still get his ERA under 2 for the year, isn’t he? Sign a long-term deal now, man! Take the $200 million!
Juan Soto – 1-for-4, 2 RBIs and his 4th homer. I saw Sexy Dr. Pepper hitting leadoff and I cackled. Okay, guys, whatever you say. Guess he can knock in Luis Torrens and the like. Sure. You can’t find a dumber group of guys than MLB managers.
Marcus Semien – 4-for-5, 3 runs, 2 RBIs and his 2nd homer. During the offseason, when the Mets got Semien, there were Mets fans excited for him. Maybe they foresaw one game when he was good, yesterday.
TJ Rumfield – 3-for-4 and his 5th homer, and 2nd homer in three games. It’s not a schmotato as much as play him when in Coors.
Rafael Devers – 1-for-3 and his 3rd homer, hitting .221. If you can sell him on the back of this homer, it might be your only chance. Ks are up, HardHit% pathetic; looks like a 22/.230 hitter, if he gets lucky.
Gavin Sheets – 1-for-3 and his 5th homer. I’ve seen this before and Sheets is an auto schmotato after a homer. Trust the process (there’s zero process).
Xander Bogaerts – 1-for-1, 2 RBIs and his 7th homer, 2nd homer in two games, and this one was a pinch-hit blast. Comatose Red Sox fan, “I’ve been out since 2017, but Devers and Bogaerts bagging bombs, baby! Things are the same as when I checked out! Right?! Why’s everyone tiptoeing out of the room? How’s Mookie hitting? Hello?”
Tyler Soderstrom – 1-for-4 and his 5th homer, hitting .217. Can we insert all the A’s into Bing Bong for every game? [Cancel Police break down door]–What?! I said insert the A’s! The A’s! They’re a team!
Jeffrey Springs – 5 1/3 IP, 2 ER, 8 hits, zero walks, 4 Ks, ERA at 3.89 vs. Zack Wheeler – 6 1/3 IP, 3 ER, 6 baserunners, 4 Ks, ERA at 3.14. This matchup was billed as, “Wheeler/Springs, shocks with mechanics! Sponsored by Pep Boys, have you had your greenies today?”
Adolis Garcia – 2-for-4, 2 runs and his 4th homer, hitting .246. Could get hot, but I was expecting a bounce back, and so far my hopes are DeflateGate.
Brad Keller – 1 IP, 0 ER, ERA at 4.02, and another save. Um, guys, I already dropped him. Where’s Jhoan? I don’t even have Jhoan and I want to see Jhoan. He’s almost as oddly absent as Daniel Palencia.
Corey Seager – 2-for-5, 2 RBIs and his 7th homer. Hopefully, he can get hot and not have it end in an IL stint. Likely? Ha! C’mon, brother and five sisters, no, not likely.
Evan Carter – 1-for-4, 2 RBIs and his 4th homer, hitting .178. If Evan Carter was a Yankee, he’d hit 20 homers. That applies for most of the Rangers team; some would hit 30+.
Nathan Eovaldi – 8 IP, 1 ER, 3 hits, zero walks, 8 Ks, ERA at 4.15. Hope you started him.
Will Warren – 4 IP, 6 ER, ERA at 3.46. Hope you sat him. Okay, not helpful, but Warren’s underlying numbers are still great. Would look at this as a hiccup, until the giant burp that is Gerrit Cole returns, and possibly bumps Warren.
Carlos Rodon – Will debut on Sunday. He only gave up five earned in his last rehab start, so all systems are go!
Aaron Judge – 1-for-4 and his 15th homer. Guy’s barely anything without Ben Rice. I kid! Hold your tomatoes.
Travis d’Arnaud – 1-for-2, 3 RBIs and his 1st homer. The French Terminator d’Arnaud told you he’d be bahck, and you didn’t listen. Wait, he left with a foot injury. Meh, better you didn’t listen.
Walbert Urena – 6 IP, 1 ER, 5 baserunners, 5 Ks, ERA at 3.22. Don’t talk about terrible pitchers usually, and there was a lot of them yesterday: Waldron, Houser, Corbin, and that was only in the afternoon games. Streamonator over all of them.
Noah Schultz – 3 2/3 IP, 7 ER, ERA at 4.68. Hey, I’m just gonna leave my Pepsi on the counter of this Hezbollah-run bar, watch it for me? Thanks! [five hours later]…feel like I just suddenly took a nap and my chest is open with a sign that reads, ‘Take whatever organs you want.” AHHHH! ROOFIE!
Cole Ragans – Left his start with elbow soreness with his fastball was down three MPH. If you have Ragans, I’d be sweating like Reagan in the Land of Confusion video.
Joey Cantillo – 5 IP, 1 ER, 6 baserunners, 1 K, ERA at 3.43. Cantillo will be more valuable than Ragans. There’s not one day that goes by that someone doesn’t ask to drop Cantillo.
Sonny Gray – 5 IP, 0 ER, 6 baserunners, 2 Ks, ERA at 3.54, as he was activated from the IL. Wonder if Sonny Me also saw the new Devil Wears Prada. What an awful movie. It was so bad, I shouldn’t be allowed to see another movie for a month as punishment for going.
Jack Flaherty – 5 IP, 2 ER, 4 baserunners, 10 Ks, ERA at 5.56. Sonavabench! This guy’s a joker. I hate him! Pitches well now? Only one walk? Where was this command for the last six weeks! If I start him next time out? Oh, he’s for sure having the worst game ever! Absolutely!
Framber Valdez – Suspended for six games for hitting Trevor Story. Good, suspend him another month for being a clown. Framber and Flaherty are the Stuck in the Middle with You song come to life.
Gleyber Torres – Hit the IL with an oblique strain. His exit velocity is down 7 MPH from last year. He once hit 38 homers!
Bailey Ober – 5 IP, 5 ER, ERA at 4.19. If you’re outdueled by Miles Mikolas (5 1/3 IP, 2 ER, 3 hits, zero walks, 3 Ks, ERA at 7.44), you’re automatically sent to the minors. Sorry, don’t make the rules–Actually, I made this rule.
CJ Abrams – 3-for-5, 2 runs, 5 RBIs and his 9th homer, hitting .299. Also, in this game, Jose Tena (2-for-5, 2 runs, 2 RBIs) hit his 2nd homer, Drew Millas (2-for-4, 2 runs, 2 RBIs) hit his 1st homer and Brady House (2-for-5, 2 runs, 3 RBIs) hit his 5th homer. Nats are the most rag-taggiest group of “Who did you get beat by? Oh, Drew Millas, right, he was the one who directed Red Dawn. I know him.”
Matthew Boyd – Headed for meniscus surgery. He injured his knees playing with his kids. That’s not a joke. Did his kids not draft him in fantasy? His wife, “Did you hurt your knee, Matty?” Boyd, did I!
Ian Happ – 3-for-5, 2 runs, 2 RBIs and a slam (9) and legs (2). Possibly the most underrated hitter in baseball.
Pete Crow-Armstrong – 2-for-3, 2 RBIs and his 4th homer, hitting .246. I bag on PCA every chance I get, but I have to be honest, he’s hitting better than I expected. Don’t worry, it’s early, he’ll get worse. Damn, Grey, stop bagging!
Emilio Pagan – Will miss four to eight weeks. I’m gonna start a woof and you just assume I held that woof for a good hour. That’s brutal. Tony Santillan is the obvious pickup, and, just in case you had doubts, Graham Ashcraft (1 IP, 2 ER, ERA at 1.93) had a freakin’ chance to save the game and immediately gave up two earned and blew it. Just gorge! Can you tell I roster Ashcraft and not Santillan? It’s obvious, isn’t it?
Matt McLain – 2-for-3, 2 runs and his 3rd homer, hitting .200. He must think it’s still Spring Training.
Spencer Steer – 1-for-5 and his 6th homer, hitting .300+ in May and had a five-homer April. Well, that last part is pretty obvious, but a five-homer month is how one gets to a 30-homer season. I’m doing math!
Bryan Woo – 6 IP, 0 ER, 1 hit, 2 walks, 9 Ks, ERA at 4.02. Back to a Woo! (Which I think was a boy band song in the early 2000s.)
Julio Rodriguez – 1-for-4 and his 5th homer, hitting .260. If you have a hitter who is being out-homered by an April/May JRod, then I feel bad for you, and, yes, I’m talking about Tatis.
Martin Perez – 5 2/3 IP, 2 ER, 6 baserunners, 5 Ks, ERA at 2.38. Wish I had awful pitching like an under-2.50 ERA Martin Perez. I don’t even care what his peripherals are. Roster pitchers who are below a 2.50 ERA when we’re in May.
Carlos Correa – Will miss the rest of the season with a tore–Who cares, pick up Isaac Paredes, if he’s available in your league. He just got everyday at-bats for the rest of the season. That’s a boon. Boon, baby, boon! Boon, baby, boon! Boon, baby, boon! [intern unplugs my cord, blows into my socket, plugs me back in] What was I saying?
Lance McCullers Jr. – 2 2/3 IP, 6 ER, ERA at 7.41. In retrospect, McCullers’s good first start of the year and the Astros’ entire last season was a dead cat bounce.
Brice Matthews – 1-for-4 and his 4th homer, as he hits leadoff, and he’s near the top of the 7-day Player Rater, because he’s been one of the hottest hitters over the last…can you guess? Yes, seven days! You’re good. That’s schmotato material.
Andy Pages – 3-for-5, 6 RBIs and his 6th, 7th and 8th homer. First multi-homer game since August 25th of last year. Geez, what a bum!
Tyler Glasnow – 1 IP, 1 ER, ERA at 2.72, but left the game with back pain. Before that, he recorded his 1,000th career strikeout! At 793 IP, he’s the fastest starter of all time to reach 1,000 Ks. Truly remarkable! Also, he recorded another career mark! At 11 years in the majors, he’s also the slowest starter to get to 793 innings.
NL only 10 team keeper league. I have Doyle in his final contract year. Hyesong Kim (LA) and Curtis Mead are available. How would you rank the three. Thanks in advance.
Am I benching Bradish tomorrow? Give him some get right time if thats possible. Wish he would go on the IL for a bit.
Grey! It’s been a while, still reading everyday but long time no comment. PCA or JJ Wetherholt ROS and in a dyno league. I think I know the answer but would like input. Thanks!
JJ, good to see you!
Tatis and Devers vs Ketel and Soderstom
Sorry for the late one Grey. Drop Snelling for Spencer Jones? I like Snelling but Jones also available.
My OF is pretty stacked – CWC, J-Rod, J Walker (and CJA at Util), but gotta take THIS Spencer Jones for a spin somewhere, right?
Am I the only one who saw the Cubs made a move for T Ferguson, and automatically assumed it was Turd Ferguson?
It’s a funny name.
RIP Norm
RIP
Well Gunnar hasn’t struck out yet, I suppose…
Ha
Game’s not over though!
Still early!
Sigh. There it is.
Oh dear.
I picked up Bleday because he has been solid. Would you hold him or drop him for Spencer Jones? On the fence about this move…Thanks!
Try Jones
Basallo or Carter Jensen ?
Carter
Injured boyd or Snelling?
Snelling
Spencer Jones Too! grabbed him everywhere….
Nice!
Man I picked up Snellinv before paddock started at LA. Been hanging on to him ever since…
With Jasson going on the DL, is he worth holding onto? I’m out of IL spots. Pickup would either be Cortes, Barger or an extra pitcher (probably Burke). I have Caglione on the bench so don’t necessarily need an OF.
No, lose Jasson
Welcome to the show Spencer Jones
Ate you all in. His K’s are high but he does have power and speed. Drop Cortes for him
Colson ks were high. Murakami some said wouldn’t make enough contact….
Sure
Gotta say I was hoping for more from my Vientos batty call.
Ha
0/4 now. Bastard. And my oppoent go that bullshit Valencia save. Not happy!
Ha
In an NL only, would you drop Baty or Vientos for Bleday?
Baty
Grey, how you feeling about Bryce Miller coming back? Looks decent in minor league. Last year he was bad and sketchy in minors. Drop Nola for Miller
Shouldn’t even have Nola.
Haha started him vs marlins. Just sayin!
Yes, lose Nola
Drop Lugo to activate Lodolo?
Sure
thanks for talking all of us off the ledge with Eovaldi. Glad I listened, he is the bright spot on several injury decimated staffs of my teams.
Nice
14 teams
pickup Martin Perez 4 cade Cavalli or Griffin canning?
pickup brooks lee and or e Duran 4 jj bleday, j Bauers, d Varsho
Canning
Varsho
and pickup lee over Duran I’m assuming
Yes
Drop Bubba for Scott?
Sure
Thanks!
No problem
How does Andy pages have more home runs than my vlad and otanhi combined? Wtf
Haha
Is otanhi for pages a good deal ?
Thanks
No
😬
In light of the Mick Abel news, needing a cortisone shot after a bullpen session, a drop for Christian Scott?
Yes
Drop Wacha or Emerson Hancock for Cantillo?
Wacha
Grey, Lodolo coming off IL, need to drop a SP, which one of the following?
Weathers
L Henderson
Bradish
Is it that much of a no brainer or do you think Bradish turns it around?
Bradish
That also continues to hurt Grey!
Yeah
Who has more HR and RBI at the end of the year?
Sal Perez or Ryan Jeffers
Jeffers
I would love for the KC coaching staff to make Cags drop for 20 pushups, Willie Mays Hayes-style, every time he swings at the first pitch.
Haha
in a keeper forever league, would you want a $4 Luzardo or $1 Greene? thanks!
Who’s Greene — tho doesn’t matter — him
Hunter Greene . Would be an IL stash but obviously huge keeper value.
Yeah
Are you stariting Andrew Painter today at home vs the A’s?
Sure
Alright Grey, I’ll bite on your Cantillo blurb. Would you drop any of him, EdCab or Randy Vasquez for Snelling?
Randy
Bergman or Riley ros in a ponts league?
Breg
10 team 5×5 OBP & SV/Hlds.
Need to drop 1 to make room for Nick Lodolo. I’m behind in Saves/holds, ERA and WHIP so i’ve been holding an extra reliever. Streamonator even hates Noah’s start next week in KC and if I can’t start him there, I’m worried.
Drop Noah Schultz or 1 of the relievers? Add Jared Jones or Bryce Miller to IR?
I don’t know who you relievers are, but sure…jones
its no one great. All holds guys like Bazardo, Gus Varland, Lee, Morillo, Latz.
And thank you for telling me to keep Eovaldi!
Lose one
Hello Grey! Glad you confirmed what I thought about Devil and Prada. Some movies never should be remade.
So is Busch an add over Stowers in a Yahoo 10 Team H2H Points League? My OF is rather dreadful with Tatis, Rooker, Stowers and Soderstorm, so I am thinking Busch would be good.
Thanks very much.
Yes
Has Nola gotten to the point where you can’t even trust him against the sea level Rockies?
He’s been bad for at least 3 years.
He hasn’t been good for a very long time
True, but there’s not good and completely unusable. I was wondering if you thought he was the latter.
I might start him at home against the Pebbles…but only a stream.
Gotcha
Probably the only situation where he’s worthy of consideration.
In my 12-team 6×6 with Holds and OPS league, we use 9 generic P slots so a team can opt to max RP usage in hunt of Saves and Holds. Some teams carry 9 RPs to max out Holds chances. 1400 IP cap and QS instead of Wins.
I’m fretting over rostering one to two more SPs than I normally would given the roster settings, and I’m lagging in Holds with 7 total RPs. But I’m also but human and desire the Snelling rookie nookie. K.Harrison is another SP I’m interested in.
Current staff:
Sale
Eovaldi
Messick
Weathers
Framber
Lodolo (already activated)
Ragans
If Ragans goes IL, I’ll have an IL spot for him to open a roster spot to add someone. However, it seems unlikely that will happen before tonight’s FAAB run, where I expect Snelling will go. And I might benefit by using a spot for another RP anyway.
1) Snelling or Harrison?
2) FAAB bid for Snelling and/or Harrison tonight, or Hold?
3) If 2=yes, which SP is the drop?
4) First two SPs off my roster?
Oh, and I’ve been watching Mr. Inbetween. I’m almost done with 2nd season–those are some short episodes! Thanks for the recommendation.
Harrison 2. Sure 3. Ragans 4. Ragans, Framber
Grey, our fearless leader…
ROS who’s better- Chourio or Tatis?
Chourio
The Jewels are no longer fun
Seriously
It seems like he’s not hurt based on hard hit and sprint data but you’d think a superstar would be able to consciously lift the ball more and at better angles…
You’d think
Pick Up Bleday for Sheets or Gurriel in NL only?
Sheets
Shallow 10 team roto 5×5 league, Altuve at my 2b spot, he’s been awful, though most 2bs have sucked tbf. 1) in a vacuum is Altuve a buy low, sell low, or just meh hold? And 2) he still is quite a bit higher than waiver guys like Antonacci or C Schmitt, right? Like I’m not dropping Altuve for one of these guys, but wondering if I should try and sell low and package him with someone else for a 2 for 1 upgrade and then replace Altuve with Ant or Schmitt, though as I type this out the thought of starting one of them in a 10 teamer sounds gross!
Buy or hold 2. Yes
12 team redraft h/h points Bradish
Am I dropping Ritchie for Snelling
Yes
IM having severe FOMO with J.Bleday… this is RIDICULOUSLY irrational right?
WHICH 2? Barger, Nate Lowe, Bleday
Snelling SIT/START vs WSH(hits LHP very well)
Haha yup…JJ Barger
Hey Grey! Would you try to buy low on either Roman or Freeman? And would Bradish, Perez, Wheeler, or Messick be fair for a 1 for 1 on either? (Doubt I could move Bradish OR Eury right now, just curious)
Messick for Roman or freeman seems fair
SP4Ray , 5 F Griffin, 6 Henderson 7Snelling
Too many, trade/drop one, hold?
Thanks!
Can you trade one?
1. I’ll try…. This is where my inexperience shows.. not sure what I’m trading for…
2. Jones available- dump Julien or Marsee for him?
Marsee
Sorry for the long, terrible question where I force my life story on you:
Due to “position scarcity”, I overdrafted 2B, 3B, and SS in a 10 team keeper.
2B: Turang, Wetherholt, Keaschall
SS: Witt, Henderson, McGonigle, Wetherholt
3B: Muncy (LA), McGonigle, Riley, Wetherholt
Meanwhile my OF is held together by duct tape.
OF: Carroll, Moniak
OF: DeLauter, Marsh
OF: Burleson
IR: Langford
Question: Benge seems to be the best immediate and long-term OF on the waiver wire. Would you drop any of the infielders or maybe Marsh for him?
Thanks as always
Can lose marsh if you like
I guess Bauers, Bleday, and Steer are floating around also.
JJ just play the hot hand
Zero Sp strategy is the only way to go. Auction keeper league, i went $230 batters, $30 SP.
I have the 2nd best SP in the league….
i was able to keep mclean for cheap (he was my only SP keeper) these are the other guys i got in auction:
messick $1, cantillo $1, mcclanahan $6, harrison 1$, Abel $1, Tolle (FA), Fuentes $1, , baz $4, Pepiot $11 (my highest sp i never even started), Sewald $1, Erceg (FA) (i lead the league in saves)
the problem is i spent money on Varsho, Acuna Devers and Tatis and have terrible hitting stats and missing playoffs!
unbelievable
I hear ya
The best strategy feeling your devers/varsho pains. Tor/SF offenses are gross
Grey, one more for you.
Stowers has been struggling since his return. Statcast has his preliminary peripherals equally underwater.
Miguel Vargas and O’Hearn are both on the wire in my 10 tm OBP league. Both statcast pages are drenched in red, Vargas moreso than O’Hearn.
Would you cut Stowers for either or is he still a hold and I should drop a pitcher to bench Stowers for the time being?
Thanks again!
Hold or drop a pitcher, but I don’t know which pitcher
Was proposed a trade in my 16-team OPS keeper. My Braxton Ashcraft for his Dingler. Currently have Carson Kelly as my C while Yainer (who has been awful) is on the bench. My SPs are currently Ashcraft, Wheeler, Ryan, Detmers,Peralta, Flaherty, and Arrighetti. Hunter Brown, Schmidt, and Verlander are IL stashes.
Worth it to get Dingler or stay put?
Hold
Land of Confusion is a deeeeeeep cut. Are we all middle-aged white guys on this site?
The bit made me wonder “do puppets sweat?” and it bothered me enough to go watch the video – sure enough. Also, those puppets were creepy af. The dudes in Genesis must’ve been “do you have to make us look creepy, too?”
Productive morning!
Yes, we are, lol
Hahaha
Drop Kenley,Killan,L.Varland or R.Garcia for Eric Miller or Gus Varland or hold ?
Hold
Getting very worried about Riley, would you move him and Varland for Murakami ? Have Palencia and Suarez as my closers without Gus
Sure
Varland’s use in Toronto the last two days has been weird. Brought in for the 9th down three, and the next day brought in for the 8th while they were behind. I get doing it once if he just needed to get some work in, but yesterday is alarming.
Is this guy still the closer?
Yes, managers just don’t use closers in the 9th anymore
Boyd did I is so good. That’s why he’s the GOAT! Thanks for the laughs on my commute today hombre.
No problem
Hey grey! Awesome writeup!
My pitching squad has taken a beating with injuries and underperformers.
SP: Glasnow, Bubic, Cabrera, Eury, Noah Shultz, Tolle, Early, Snelling (NA)
RP: Devin Williams, Varland, Adam, Riley O’Brein, Estrada
IL: Skubal :(
WW options:
Max Meyer
Clay Holmes
Davis Martin
Nick Martinez
Randy Vasquez
Martin Perez
Christian Scott
1) In a limited moves (i have 29 left) Sv+H league would you drop any of mine for WW options?
2) Also who is the drop to activate Snelling or should i wait till after his first start as he is on my NA spot currently.
Thanks!
1. Nope 2. Early is first off your team
Thanks!
No problem
Junk home vs Nats or
Sheehan home vs Braves ?
Junk
While gnats certainly can be pesky creatures, the prevailing wisdom is that it’s no longer necessary to junk your home due to an infestation.
Where would you like me to go next?
– Want me to map out a 30-day all-natural treatment plan for a gnat infestation — hint: eat less fruit. Or,
– Clue you in to how artists interpreted the presence and symbolism of gnats in 16th century Chinese landscape painting. (It’s a fascinating study!)
Painting
Someone in my 10T dropped Roman Anthony. Drop Cags for him?
Sure
Hey Grey, thanks for the write up and notes.
Gotta cut 1 out of Rico Garcia or Tanner Scott (to activate Snelling tomorrow off of an NA spot. still have bednar, uribe, and baker)
Gotta cut 1 out of Bradish or Painter (to be able to take Sonny Gray off of IL, to be able to activate Snelling tomorrow)
thanks again!!
Garcia
Bradish
Hey grey – please rank these ROS for upside. Benge, Rumfeld, Cags, Brice Matthews. Need a UT guy. Thanks!
Cags, Brice
Keep forever OBP league
I am struggling at 3B.
I have Durbin and Vargas but was looking for a long term solution. I also have Noelvi stashed but he seems to be playing more OF.
Keep forever Noelvi or drop for Brady House?
Or I could drop Vesia or Cleavinger. It is a SVHD league also.
Go with House, you can lose Noelvi
That continues to hurt Grey!
I know
Spot start today:
Povich @ Miami (Meyer)
Irvin vs Minn (Richardson)
Ceccone @ KC (Lugo)
H2H points
Thanks
Irvin
Paredes or Okamota ? H2H points.
Okamoto
Please rank Weathers, Ranger, Snelling.
You did
Cantillo or Wacha ROS?
thank you, Grey
Cantillo
Good morning Grey
19 team standard 5&5 roto would you trade my Yordan for Tatis I am currently in 2nd place and need steals
Thanks
No
Who is the best NA stash in NL-only? OBP, W+QS
Waldschmidt, Tibbs, Augustin Ramirez, Noelvi Marte, Charlie Condon, Jesus Made, Aidan Miller, River Ryan, Thomas White, Barco, Tong, Braxton Garrett, Giolito
Condon
Lile or Lourdes Gurriel?
Lile
Scott or Perkins for saves
Scott
Who should I roster going forward, Ashcraft or Snelling?
Ashcraft
12 team redraft h/h points
Give Bradish for Get Perez
Sure

Hey Grey,
In a 20 team h2h cat dynasty Im considering trading Ryan Waldschmidt for Robby Snelling.
Im usually not a hitter for pitcher trader.
I already did earlier this season (Seiya for Pepiot, ugh) and here I am again.
So, Waldschmidt or Snelling?
Team getting Snelling is a contender.
Thank you, amigo!
Snelling
Thank you 👍
No problem

For those (like me) going crazy over Noelvi not being called back up with his scorching AAA stats, check this article out… crazy detailed breakdown of what he’s doing down there and why the numbers aren’t as amazing as they may seem:
https://www.justbaseball.com/mlb/good-and-bad-from-noelvi-marte-in-triple-a/
Good article. I also do not know what they have in the water in their AAA clubhouse, probably steroids, but those guys hit.
Look at Hinds numbers last year and this year before callup. Very impressive. Then he comes up and hits like Noelvi.
Ok
“That’s the rule. That’s the goal now. ”
😆🤣💀
Ha
With Snelling getting called up I have my Minors spot open. Should I pick up Max Clark or Waldschmidt?
Clark
Drop any of my rotation for L. Henderson in 5×5 dynasty?
Gallen, Keller, Nola, Abbott, Bubic, Cameron, Harrison, Leiter, Framber

The last time a player had 3 stolen bases in a game? You have to go all the way back to April 11th, 2026! WHOA! STOP THE PRESSES!
HAHA
Grey, can only start 2 in a pts league. Who’s the odd man out?
Eovaldi AZ; @Hou
Gausman TB; @Det
Peralta DET; NYY
Freddy
Hi Grey,
One manager put Bo Bichette on waivers. He is 3B and SS eligible. My 3B and SS are Muncy/Austin Riley and Gunnar Henderson, respectively.
1.Would you pick up Bichette and drop Kyle Stowers or pass?
Thanks!!!
Hold
Thanks!!
No problem
Lourdes projections ROS if he stays healthy?
60/18/70/.260/8
Sounds fair
I have Altuve who is struggling as is Ketel Marte.
1.Would you try and trade for Marte by offering Altuve plus Griffin or be patient?
2, Another option is to trade Altuve and Griffin for Albies?
In Yahoo points, Griffin has 102 points, Altuve has 64 and Marte has 63 points. Albies has 120-
Thanks so much!!
Between Nick Martinez and Michael Soroka, which has the best chance to become rosterable for the season?
Soroka
The only thing that makes that Boyd injury worse is that pun you used in the blurb, Grey. Almost spit out my coffee. Mid-season form already! Well done.
Ha
Hey good peeps..If your pitching is slightly up and down… Would you consider a drop of Jac Caglianone, or Colson Montgomery for a Joey Cantillo or Tanner Scott ? Tia
Jac for one is fine, I don’t know what you need, they’re same diff, apples/oranges
Looking for a spot start today: Povich, Irvin or Cecconi? H2H points
Thanks
no idea who they face
Aside from being among the league’s leaders in strikeouts, are there any other redeeming qualities we should know about Gunnar?
He’s on pace for a 40/20 season

Judge becomes the 5th #1 in 5 weeks! Think he might stay there awhile. Four newcomers (BOLD) this week. Skenes’ great start yesterday helped him jump from #32 to #16 despite a mediocre start earlier in the week. Martin makes his first appearance in the top 25, while Langeliers is back after a week at #31. Christian Walker returns after a 3-week absence.
Other big moves included Abrams shooting up 16 slots, and Pages rising 15.
Think you might be right on Judge…Great stuff, Vin!
Drop Bubba or Schultz for Snelling? 3yr kpr lg. 12 team.
Or I could drop Dollander.
Bubba
Autodraft had me in last place in my 12 team H2H 5×5 so I made some trades. This is my team now. Have I fixed it yet?

On wire:

Doesn’t look terrible to me, how’s it doing? Lambert, Perez, or McGreevy over Sproat
Time to dump Eury? We have a snake pick up and I don’t have a pick until #27. There may be guys like Prielipp, Eduardo Rodriguez, and even Garrett that are left over. We have no bench room
Thanks as usual
Meh, those options don’t do anything for me
Skenes now has 2 top 10 entries (and 1 in the bottom 10) on the 100 Best Fantasy Starts list. Last year he finished with just a single top 100 effort: T93 August 24 vs Colorado 7 IP/0 ER/3 BR/7 K.
Eovaldi (#16), Woo (#28), and McClanahan (#86) also scored positions on the list. Eovaldi also holds the #44 and #45 slots.
Insane how quickly he bounced back from his poor opening day start
Aaron Ashby, the anchor of my RazzSlam pitching staff, just like we drew it up in the preseason!
HA
Anyone else enjoying watching O’Hearn outperform Alonso through the first 35 games? I cannot understand what that front office is doing with the O’Neal and then Alonso signings, considering their need for starting pitching.
Ha, yeah
You’re starting Henderson with the Yankees this weekend?
I am in deeper leagues
Drop Messick for snelling or wait to see if Ragans goes on the DL. Thanks as always
Hold
Hey Grey! Apparently, per an mlb dot com interview, Glasnow’s back pain is “just a normal spasm” that he’s been getting since high school. Well… okay then, can’t the Dodgers shell out for a yoga class? I guess it’s better than a shoulder or an elbow.
Who are your top two for power from Stowers, N Lowe, Cortes, Vaughn? Muchas Gracias!
Haha
Stowers,, Vaughn
Glasnow, checking off the achievements!
Haha
“I’d be sweating like Reagan in the Land of Confusion video.”
Damn, that was funny. Actually laughed out loud. Probably showing my age.
Ha, yup
Which of these is your preferred start? I ask because I think Streamonator doesn’t know as much with prospects.
Sheehan v Atlanta
Lodolo v Houston
Bradish v Athletics
Snelling v Washington
I don’t know if Snelling is safe, but I’d start him and Lodolo
I acquired Boyd, started him once and thought I was a genius. Saw an ace in terms of inside numbers xera and xfip high ks, but his high era hid it.
Lost Glaslow, Boyd, and Ragans in essentially 1 night.
Yeah, brutal
Not only can I picture the video, but I can hear the bass line. I’m also reminded of Muammar Gaddafi.
Haha, same. The stick puppets!
Haha
