Christian Scott will be called up to start on Thursday, as the Mets moved on from a man D. Peterson. Welp, can’t buy me love. I’d like a refresher cocktail, if you don’t mind. I said when he was called up for the first time on May 2nd, 2024, “Mets are promoting Christian Scott to the majors this weekend–[presses finger to ear] ‘Yes, I can hear you? What happened? As soon as they gave him the news he was promoted he injured his UCL.'” Then his final mention was a few months later, where I said, “(Christian Scott) will have internal brace procedure. That’s the pitchers’ equivalent to a shit and shave.” And that’s me’s quoting me’s! Wish I could say I have some sorta Oracle-like ability, but it’s really true that I joked about him being on the Mets and how that was going to doom his UCL and, guess what happened. Well, here’s what Itch said about Christian Scott prior to his call-up in 2024, “Rather than chase the big names, I tend to pick my spots with rookie pitchers, and this is one of them. At 6’4” 215 lbs, Scott has been adding velocity since being selected in the 5th round of the 2021 draft. He was mostly a reliever as a collegian because Florida had plenty of high-end rotation options while Scott was there. His command has come together in a full-time starting role, and a slider he added from watching video of Max Scherzer is producing dynamite results. In 62 innings with Double-A Binghamton, Scott posted a 0.84 WHIP with 77 strikeouts and a 2.47 ERA. I think he’ll be starting in New York sooner than later. Debatable if it happens before I attack Grey in his sleep.” What on earth? Then, Scott disappeared to this year, when he returned with an 11.2 K/9, 1.3 BB/9 in 13 2/3 Triple-A innings. Good to have him back. Well, until that next season-ending injury. I’d grab him in all leagues, where you need help, and who doesn’t need help.
Also, in the pitchers about to be called up news, Payton Tolle is supposedly getting the call. Itch ranked him in his top 75 fantasy baseball prospects, saying, “At 6’6” 250 pounds with high-nineties velocity from a three-quarter release, Tolle makes for an intimidating at bat. He’ll be even tougher to hit if he can deepen his arsenal a bit, but for now the fastball is enough to make him a big leaguer. And I have a full arsenal if I ever find Grey’s home.” Okay, I’m scared. About to go back and forth through a toll booth with my woo-woo whistle muffler! As I said yesterday, he’s gone 11.4 K/9, 2.4 BB/9 this year in three starts and went 13.1 K/9, 2.3 BB/9 last year in 91 2/3 IP. He’s also a pickup in every league, and since people will ask. As the Bed and Breakfast Maiden rhyme says, Tolle before Scott, you paid to sit on our pot. Anyway, here’s what else I saw this weekend in fantasy baseball:
Nolan McLean – 6 2/3 IP, 3 ER, 5 hits, zero walks, 10 Ks, ERA at 2.67. He deserves better than the Mets, but fate isn’t what’s chosen. Damn, homey, I got wisdom!
Francisco Lindor – 1-for-3, 3 RBIs and his 2nd homer. Miserable to start the year — buy low! — and still better than Bobby Shitt Jr.
Devin Williams – 0 IP, 2 ER, ERA at 9.95. I expect nonsense from the Mets, but everyone who was drafting Devin in the preseason like the last year with the Yanks didn’t happen? I didn’t understand it.
Byron Buxton – 1-for-5, 2 RBIs and his 4th homer. Can I put $5 on him hitting another home run today? He’s the most “he hit one homer so he will hit another homer the next day” player of all-time. (Okay, after Ty Wigginton, if you know, you know.)
Connelly Early – 5 1/3 IP, 3 ER, 8 baserunners, 4 Ks, ERA at 2.88. Watched a lot of this start (because I couldn’t bear watching Reynaldo) and Early looked better than the line. Giancarlo was the only one to hit him hard.
Giancarlo Stanton – 2-for-4, 3 RBIs and his 3rd homer. That homer is for the mannequin I have in the passenger seat of my car in the Yankees jersey who I call Ginacarla. We ride in the car pool lane together and get Blizzards.
Luis Gil – 6 1/3 IP, 0 ER, 5 baserunners (3 BBs), 2 Ks, ERA at 4.11. Quite frankly, the Sawx looked worse than Gil looked great. Rodon and Cole are also due back relatively soon, and I have to guess Gil is one of the guys losing his rotation spot. Rather than look at the Streamonator for Gil, I’d look to see who’s facing the Red Sox.
Adley Rutschman – 2-for-4, 2 RBIs as he was activated from the IL and returns to prospblock Basallo. Trade Adley for an arm, you idiots! Not you, I mean the O’s. Unless you can trade him for an arm.
Coby Mayo – 1-for-3, 3 RBIs and his 1st homer. Now, Mayo, that’s how you emulsify!
Shane Baz – 6 1/3 IP, 4 ER, 10 baserunners, 4 Ks, ERA at 5.08. That was vs. the Peasant Royals. Against a real team, that would be 4 IP, 12 ER.
Vinnie Pasquantino – 0-for-4, 1 RBI, hitting .180. I wonder if the Royals moved the fences in, then put up a Sound of Music-like painted backdrop right behind the infield, and everything is being knocked down off Julie Andrews’s legs and into the 2nd baseman’s mitt.
Kris Bubic – 6 IP, 3 ER, 8 baserunners, 3 Ks, ERA at 4.08. I mean, okay, I guess, but Julie Andrews is swatting down line drives.
Zack Wheeler – Will make his season debut on Saturday. That’s when the Wheeler’s turn.
Jesus Luzardo – 4 2/3 IP, 1 ER, 9 baserunners (4 BBs), 3 Ks, ERA at 6.91. Saw someone say Luzardo was a buy low, and, boy, did I cackle at that one. Sure, if you’re looking to take the pain away from a root canal? Yeah, then Luzardo is your man!
Kyle Schwarber – 1-for-3, 2 runs and his 8th homer, hitting .217. Schwarbomb’s over Chirac! (Spike Lee would appreciate that.)
Bryce Harper – 1-for-4, 2 RBIs and his 5th homer, hitting .274. Harper’s actually been decent, says a guy with expectations severely damaged by Vinnie Pasquantino.
Shota Imanaga – 7 IP, 1 ER, 4 baserunners, 1 K, ERA at 2.17. As terrible as every starter is, I can’t rightfully complain about Shota. One K? It’s better than everyone else who pitched for me!
Nico Hoerner – 2-for-5, 2 runs and his 4th homer. I have a good voicemail greeting for Nico, if someone can get this to him, “Ah, me so Hoerner, me so Hoerner, ah, me so Hoerner, me love you long time, and sorry I missed your call.”
Seiya Suzuki – 2-for-4, 2 RBIs and his 1st homer. “Um, hey, Nico, I was calling to see if you wanted to go to Dave and Buster’s and, uh, that voicemail’s really gotta go.”
Blake Snell – Scheduled for a rehab start today. Snell ya later!
Daniel Susac – Hit the IL with a elbow ulnar neuritis, and expected to miss two to three weeks. Likely an injury that had been lingering for a while, so Patrick Bailey was being out-hit by someone with one arm, according to Dr. Richard Kimble.
Landen Roupp – 5 IP, 1 ER, 1 hit, 5 walks, 7 Ks, ERA at 2.28. “The Dodgers can’t hit the ball if I don’t throw within three feet of the plate.” That’s Roupp game-planning.
Ryan Walker – 1 IP, 0 ER, ERA at 3.60, as he recorded his 2nd save. So, now it’s clear as day it’s Walker’s job? Why couldn’t that have been cleared up on day one of the freakin’ season? (As soon as I say this, Kilian will get the next save.)
Kumar Rocker – 6 IP, 1 ER, 5 baserunner, 5 Ks, ERA at 3.48. His name is Kumaaaaaaaaaaaaar Rocker! His underlying stats look better than I expected (8.3 K/9, 3.5 BB/9), but still kinda Streamonator-ish for mixed leagues.
Carmen Mlodzinski – 4 1/3 IP, 5 ER, ERA at 3.28. Good news for me is once a guy is unusable for most leagues, I stop having to write him up and spell his name. A few more like this!
Chase Dollander – 6 IP, 1 ER, 4 baserunners, 9 Ks, ERA at 2.88. He looks as good as any Rockies pitcher who I can remember. Maybe Jeff Francis that one random year? I never tell anyone to pick up Rockies pitchers, but his stats look like ace stuff. Top pitchers right now: Schlittler, Sanchez, Gausman, Weathers, Skubal, and Dollander. That’s just strictly stats, and not talking track record, etc. The only thing that is scary is his home park, but that hasn’t been a problem at all. Can’t see any reason to not pick up Dollander everywhere.
Randy Vasquez – 7 IP, 0 ER, 3 hits, zero walks, 5 Ks, ERA at 1.88. Yes, the duel of aces that we all expected Randy Vasquez and Chase Dollander. Again, you draft top pitchers, because: Dot dot dot?
Cal Raleigh – 2-for-3 and his 4th homer, and 2nd homer in two games. Ass or grass, no one rides for free–Oh, yeah, you’re good, Cal.
Luis Castillo – 5 IP, 2 ER, 7 baserunners, 6 Ks, ERA at 5.01. One of the easiest tests for a pitcher is the A’s in Seattle and Castillo barely passed. Just Olmos he could Stand and Deliver.
Shea Langeliers – 1-for-3 and his 8th homer, and 2nd homer in two games. Thank you, Mr. Bangeliers, may I have another?
Miguel Vargas – 1-for-4, 2 runs and his 4th homer, and 2nd homer in two games, and third homer in a week. Hot schmotato alert!
Munetaka Murakami – 3-for-5, 2 runs and his 9th homer, and 4th straight game with a homer. Too early to put Dale Long on defrost, maybe move him to the fridge, just in case we have to bring him out to celebrate his homer in consecutive game streak record being broken.
Sam Antonacci – 2-for-5, 3 RBIs and his 1st career MLB homer. At least we know one Italian can hit homers!
Sean Burke – 6 IP, 2 ER, 6 baserunners, 3 Ks, ERA at 4.10 vs. Merrill Kelly – 4 1/3 IP, 8 ER, ERA at 9.31. This matchup was billed as, “Burke/Kelly, a spa day at the W on the Ivictory Coast, as they kayaked out on the S.S. Merrill.”
Colson Montgomery – 2-for-5, 2 runs, 3 RBIs and his 6th homer. You know that old joke, why don’t they just make the whole plane out of whatever the black box is made of? The White Sox made an entire team out of Adam Dunn’s.
Louis Varland – 2/3 IP, 0 ER, ERA at 0.00 as he got his 1st save, and Jeff Hoffman (1/3 IP, 1 ER, ERA at 7.59) started the 9th and tried to blow the game in a way that he has so many times before this season that I’m starting to wonder if Emmanuel Clase is his bookie. Hoffman is the type who won’t be replaced as much as the Jays will say something like, “Yeah, he has an arm…uh…problem. He needs an IL stint for it, uh, whatever we just said it was.”
Enyel De Los Santos – 1/3 IP, 3 ER, ERA at 4.50. Two days prior, “I won my FAAB bid for Enyell!” Yesterday, “And yell! That’s what I’m doing! And yelling!” There’s a closerpocalypse out there and no one is safe. It’s basically Mason Miller, and everyone else. So, in the Astros’ pen, there’s also Bryan King–I’m kidding! He went 2/3 IP, 3 ER yesterday. We’re all screwed.
Angel Martinez – 2-for-4, 2 runs and his 3rd homer. I made him a batty call last night, and now I’m waking up in love thinking about streaming Angel on Spotify like I’m Steven Tyler trying to earn .00000000001% of a penny.
Parker Messick – 5 IP, 3 ER, 6 baserunners, 4 Ks, ERA at 1.76. He’s the only good starter. Five innings and three earned is “good?” Yes, and don’t put douche quotes around it.
Chase Burns – 5 2/3 IP, 2 ER, 6 baserunners, 8 Ks, ERA at 2.57. Fine! There’s two good pitchers! Geez! Messick does have a better ERA than Burns, though. What, your league doesn’t use ERA? Ooh, newfangled!
Spencer Steer – 1-for-3 and his 4th homer. If I traded Bobby Witt Jr. for Spencer Steer right after my draft, my leaguemates would’ve kicked me out of the league. But who’d they be kicking now?! (Still me, prolly.)
Elly De La Cruz – 3-for-6, 3 runs, 5 RBIs and a double slam(7, 8) and legs (6). 2025 – 5 HR in 199 ABs; 2026 – 5 HR in 28 ABs. It would be so nice if Bobby Shitt Jr. effortlessly had seven homers. Alas, I’m in my feelings.
Ke’Bryan Hayes – 1-for-3, 2 runs and his 1st homer. Been one of the worst players in the entire major leagues on the year. Rece Hinds (0-for-3, 1 run, hitting .125)? Awful since call-up and playing every single game. Noelvi Marte? Still sent down!
Dane Myers – 1-for-3, 4 runs and his 1st homer. I’d take Noelvi over him too! Okay, I’m being a baby now.
Jonathan Aranda – 1-for-3, 2 runs, 3 RBIs and his 4th homer. Jonny Arrondissement brie’ing on!
Keider Montero – 5 2/3 IP, 3 ER, 6 baserunners, 3 Ks, ERA at 3.68. Kinda starter you hold your nose and start in an AL-Only league, and don’t have the grip strength to hold one’s nose for shallower mixed leagues.
Nathan Church – 2-for-4, 2 RBIs and a slam (2) and legs (3). Began researching the Buy column for this week (will be up on Patreon in a few hours — uh, a few hours after I wake on Wednesday), and Church has been a hot schmotato.
Jakob Marsee – 3-for-4, and his 1st homer. Sorry if it’s getting stuffy in here, but we have to close the Buy Low window soon too.
Curtis Mead – 1-for-2, 2 runs, 3 RBIs and his 3rd homer. He’s out-slugging my 1st round pick, and he doesn’t even start. All he does is hit pinch-hit homers. He’s basically Rusty Staub. Call him Crusty Staub.
James Wood – 1-for-2, 3 runs and his 8th homer, hitting .242. Member when y’all were nervous about his Ks? Well, he had a good first half last year too. Weren’t expecting me to say that, were you?
Foster Griffin – 6 IP, 3 ER, 6 baserunners, 3 Ks, ERA at 3.38. I don’t know this for a fact, actually it might not even make any sense, but I wonder if the pitching coaches in Japan teach pitchers to hone their command, and efficiency because their hitters are more patient. There’s nothing better for deep leagues than a guy like Griffin who has good command. He might’ve had the command before he even went overseas, to be honest.
Eli White – 1-for-2 and his 1st homer. Fun fact! Eli White played the dentist in the Dustin Hoffman-classic, Marathon Man.
Drake Baldwin – 1-for-4, 2 runs and his 6th homer. Meh, whatever Dalton Rushing’s done that in 12 at-bats.
Reynaldo Lopez – 1 IP, 4 ER, 8 baserunners, ERA at 3.74. What did Jorge Soler do to this guy? Did he punch the mechanics out of him? Did he knock the regression out of him? Hit him back to last FIPping year?
Raisel Iglesias – Hit the IL after sleeping on his shoulder wrong. “Everyone complaining about messy closer situations? Haha, you should’ve drafted Raisel Iglesias!” That’s someone who slept right but about a day too long. Ya know, it makes no sense this would happen to Raisel after sleeping wrong. He just bought a brand-new mattress from the Dr. Keith Meister Collection. Dr. Keith said it was tempur-pedic, designed with layers upon layers of foam for the most rejuvenating sleep just like when you’re put under to have arm surgery. That’s the Dr. Keith guarantee! These mattresses make you feel like you’ve just had three Tommy John surgeries all at once! Robert Suarez is the clear replacement. Hopefully he just sleeps on his pull-out.
James Wood is only 23
He’s 6’6” 230, watch the NFL draft tomorrow for context. That’s a defensive edge rusher size. Yeah, he’s going to K a bit. That OBP suggests the plate skills are solid enough, and that size lets you know the power is going to age well.
Not sure who will end the year as a top 10 on player rater, but it wouldn’t surprise me if James Wood.
Sup dawg. Would this SP order be agreeable? 12-team 6×6 with QS instead of Wins.
Eury Perez
Weathers
Early
Tolle
Arrighetti
Dollander (due to QS factor)
I list Arrighetti because I roster him. I have a drop to claim one of the other players, and could drop Arrighetti for another.
Woods breakout seems to be for real.
I’m becoming more and more convinced that the Jung breakout is also sustainable.
Dreams do come true
<3
Haha
Can you rank Rushing, Jensen, basallo ROS in OBP league?
Jensen, Basallo
You called the Bux homer. Well played.
Nice!
Use the number 2 waiver to pick up McKenzie Gore and drop Jeremiah jackson?
Sure
Also add Christian Scott over M kelly?
Sure
Payton Tolle – VS Yankees Thursday – this is no way to treat your number 1 pitching prospect in the minors
Ha
Playing time is a big differentiator, but at this point would you take Rushing over F. Alvarez?
12 Team H2H 6×6 OPS
Please rank the following UT bats, position does not matter:
Max LA, Max SAC, Otto, Wetherholt, Adames, Soderstrom
Thank you
Couple weeks ago my buddy beat me to Didier on the FA list by literally 1 minute. I went to add him, clicked “submit”; and got the dreaded “the player you’ve selected is already on a team” message.
Told my buddy that happened and he’s been giving me grief about it daily since.
Fast forward to today, facing that same dude in weekly H2H, with him losing ERA & WHIP because the Nats hit him like a piñata. Feels even better that I have Wood, Curtis Jackson Abrams, and Garcia doing some of the damage.
I love this game. Hahaha
Ha
@Grey: 12 team weekly roto redraft. SON seems to be an early fan of Christian Scott. Worth dropping Baz for him?
Yes
Current thinking on Reynaldo? Are we holding?
For one more if no better options
I am currently streaming my LF position using Bauers, Sheets or Steer depending upon matchups. It has not borne much fruit and eats up my weekly moves (7 per week in this 12 team H2H league).
I offered B Ashcraft for Happ but the Happ owner is making things complicated. With this roster would you settle on one LF, continue to stream, or trade a pitcher for Happ?
Thanks!
Agustin
Otto, Trea, B Lowe
Harper, Bregman, S Perez (ugh)
JRod, Merrill, J Walker, Cam Smith, Sheets
Util – Schwarber
Crochet, Cease, Eovaldi, Ashcraft, Taj, Lugo, Hancock
T Scott, Vesia, Fairbanks, Keller
IL Wheeler
Note: holds and saves are separate cats. Wheeler coming off IL but I will likely bench him for start #1
Second question: about what kind of bat would you settle for in dealing Wheeler? I got him cheap but he makes me nervous
1. Sure 2. Maybe buy Vinnie low?
I like the Vinnie idea a lot.
On question #1, I was unsure whether you leaned toward continuing to stream left fielders, or trading Ashcraft for Happ that may be a package or just sticking with one of Bauers, Steer, or Sheets?
Have a good evening
I’d take Happ
Hi Grey – awesome we’re-up!
I traded for Sal Stewart! Let’s go!
Marsee was dropped. Is he an add in a 10 team H2H or more of a bench bat/streamer?
Sure add him
I complained about Gunnar a lot last year. One thing I didn’t complain about was batting average. Well it’s time to bring it up. He’s down to .189 after today, but it comes with a .203 babip. He needs to face one of my pitchers. That’ll get anyone going.
Yeah, if he could only face Bradish
That was good.
You know he’d walk him!
I hope its no to late to post a question.
Would you trade Peyton Tolle and Edward Cabrera
for
Jesus Luzardo
Thanks so much for the advice
No
Maikel Garcia DTD w/sore elbow.
Damn.
Yup
Currently covering with Durbin who was safely a wait and see on my bench until now.
Drop him for any of A. Martinez / O. Peraza / B. Rocchio if it becomes an IL shituation?
Peraza
Thanks but hope I don’t need him
Gotcha
Marathon Man. Nice!
ha
Your top SPs by stats is missing Jose Soriano! 0.26 ERA (!) I picked him up in RCL 33 and dropped before his second start. Loserish move!!
Ouch
(1) Enyl, Theibar?
(3) Who’s returning to closer 1st: Hader or Palencia?
Or Varland (Tor); i.e., Enyl, Theibar, or Varland?
Thielbar 2. Palencia
(1) FaaB weekly league. Since Palencia will return sooner, unless possible Saves after Palencia returns — does this impact your answer?
Sure, try Enyel
Who the hell is Silseth, and how did he singlehandedly take away my almost certain Soriano W so quickly? I know pitching well is always hard, but it certainly seems way harder this year.
Don’t be greedy with your Soriano
In a 12 team dynasty, are you moving on from Cowser? He’s been on my bench all year.
Drop Cowser for Carlos Cortes or Nathan Church?
Sure, Cortes
I wish I loved anything as much as Jac Cags loved hitting the ball into the ground. He’s got that Jordan Walker magic… circa 2025. Until he lifts the ball, I’m looking to join a fantasy league that only counts underlying stats.
Yeah, I dropped him, moving on
1st week of the season, “dang it, i am such an idiot for taking so-and-so over the guy I took. Stupid stupid stupid!”
4th week of the season, “oh thank god I didn’t draft so-and-so over the guy I drafted. I’m a genius.”
Every single year.
HAHA, yes
Hi Grey,
Thanks again for an amazing column. I once read that honestly is called courage. I appreciate your straightforward honesty.
1.As I said many times, your skill set is trades. When to make ‘em and when to be just patient. With your help, I picked up Austin Riley and gave away Gore. What would you think about dropping Matt Chapman and picking up Muncy of the Dodgers while he is hot?
2. Another idea for your consideration is to drop Early and pick up Gary Sanchez’. While I have William Contreras, at catcher, when he sits, I get a zero. I now could use Sanchez since they are both good n the Brewers. Would you make that move?
Thank you!
1. Go for it 2. hold
Thank you!
No problem
Please rank Lodolo, Bubic, Boyd, Randy Vasquez and Dollander
Boyd, Lodolo, Randy V, Dollander
Giolito over either Singer or Abbott?
Meh, I guess Singer
Whattp Grey . Is Giolito worth grabbing if i’m willing to have the dead roster spot ? Thanks
Sure
Drop mlodzinski ? Thanks for the help
Hold for now
Hi Grey – couple questions:
1) Langford or Sal Stewart in a keeper?
2) please rank Lodolo, Bubic, Boyd, Randy Vasquez and Dollander
Thanks,
LG
Sal
14 teams
Would you drop Rey Lopez for Prielipp?
There’s also Rea, D.May, G.Holmes
or stay put
Hold for now
Cut sheehan for Fuentes or hold? I really dont want to give up on sheehan but I needed to ask what you would do in a 10 team 6×6 with qs being dead last in era and whip. Thanks
Sounds fine to go with Fuentes
What about nelson for az? Are we still holding, ignoring the recent implosion. Is he a cut for fuentes? Different league. Thanks
Lose Nelson
12 team roto with OBP and QS. Drop Ryne Nelson for Chase Dollander? Dylan Beavers for Alec Bohm?
Sure
Ok
Grey
Have to drop 1 OF out of this group… 5×5 scoring
M.Harris II
B. Nimmo
B. Reynolds
Also 1 SP from this group… same 5×5
T. Rogers
R. Weathers
L. Castillo
Reynolds
Castillo
Somebodies dropped Max Muncy (LAD) and Andy Pages for some reason in my 12 team 5×5. I could use the help at 3B and Pages is too good to leave on the wire.
Besides cutting some starters I can replace, who would you choose to drop to make room: Ivan Herrera or Augustin Ramirez? (Ivan just hit another homer today but Augustin has some speed too)
I was going to consider Vinnie too but he homered today and might be finally getting into gear (fingers crossed).
Agustin
Hi Grey! Would you drop Ragans for Scott?
Thank you!
No
Hi Grey,
Would you trade Pete Alonso and Bam for Caminero in a points league?
I don’t know who Bam is
Sorry Alonso and Baz for Caminero
Works for me
Happy Hump Day Grey-Meister,
You should add the title, Used Fantasy Player Salesman😁. Now I’m trying to figure out who to drop for Dollander because of your sales pitch, thank you.
The bank denied my loan, no Dollander…..
Don’t forget, eat a healthy lunch🤙.
CCC
Haha, I just did!
Giants fan asked me about Roupp ($3). I’m in need of offensive help, he’s got guys like Schneeman ($3), House ($3), Oswald Peraza ($3), Colt Keith ($4), Soderstrom ($7), Ramos ($7), Cam Smith ($3), Kwan ($14), Luis Robert ($25), and Tatis ($30). Keeper league and I can afford to take on a bigger contract. Anyone you see as a fair trade?
Soderstrom? Smith? Robert? Kwan? Ramos?
Is that the order you like them in?
Yes
Drop Baz for Sheehan or any of Ryan Walker, Bryan Baker, or Hoffman worth a roll of the dice?
Sure, needs? Walker
I guess I could use a closer. I got Munoz and Palencia on IL.
@Grey: 12 team weekly roto redraft. how would you rank these in order of droppability (is that a word?), 1st being most droppable. colt emerson, foster griffin, shane baz.
thanks!
Baz
hurtful
Ha
Drop Cantillo or Lugo to try to get Eovaldi off waivers?
Cantillo
Gracias
No problem
Drop McClanahan or Sheehan for Dollander or hold?
Think now that Suarez is Atlanta’s closer, he’ll run with the job ROS? Had 40 sages last year!
Shane
Raisel is the Braves closer if/when healthy
-Better NA pickup…Tolle or Scott?
-Saw that Walker picked up a save yesterday…do you think he is the Giant’s closer moving forward, and would you drop any of Baker, Junis or Vesia for him?
Thanks!
Tolle
Hold
Oh man, Yordan with yet another HR! And here I am staring at my crummy Witt/Acuna/Tatis trio – HA!
I can’t believe it
First season I’ve been able to roster him. 4.02 feels like a bargain.
<3
Haha
Nothing but dong, baby.
It’s stunning. He is so impressive. I can’t believe the ‘goodish’ enough pitches to hit some of these pitchers are giving him right now. Anything in the zone he is pummelling…
Hey Grey-
Would you trade Wyatt straight up for McLean? I went bat heavy but feel as though some balance could be needed
10 Team 5OF OBP league:
OF is Soto, Rooker, Riley Greene, Oneil Cruz, Taylor Ward, Cam Smith, Wyatt.
SPs are Woo, Shota, Eury, EdCab, Sandy, Taj
Thanks man!
Sure, I’d take McLean
Hey Grey – I have a few potential changes. Please rank:
Thanks!
1. you did 2. julien, young, Peraza 3. Cantillo
12-team dynasty with 6SP/6RP and ERA, WHIP, K/BB, W, SV, HD scoring; I am punting HD… starting to amass number of quality pitching options but will likely need to make some hard choices next month due to roster spots/salary. I think one action will be to drop Baker once Tolle is active so that would leave needing to move/drop minimum 1 player at $3; thoughts? Agree current with starting lineup?
SP – Crochet ($4,1y)
SP – DeGrom ($7,1y)
SP – Cease ($8,2y)
SP – Eovaldi ($5,2y)
SP – Gore ($1,2y)
SP – Bubic ($2,2y)
RP – Chapman ($3,1y)
RP – Fairbanks ($3,1y)
RP – Baker ($2,3y)
RP – Cantillo ($2,3y)
RP – Detmers ($1,3y)
RP – Dollander ($1,3y)
RES – J. Soriano ($3,3y)
RES – N. Schultz ($1,3y)
RES – Tolle ($1,3y)
RES – K. Anderson ($3,3y)
IL – Hader ($8,2y)
IL – Ponce ($3,3y)
IL – Yates ($1,3y)
Yes, agree
Out of the SPs above, which 3 or 4 are the most tradeable now? I would be ideally looking for a 2 (or 3) for 1 swap.
Your pitching is insane…I don’t know what others want, maybe ask them? Something like RP – Gore and RP – Detmers ($1,3y) for an upgrade?
On the fence to add Dider. Could stream him today and keep in minor league slot. I know there is really no for sure answer….
stream him today and keep? stream him today OR keep?
Stream him today and keep is what I am thinking of doing
Works for me, but he is a spot starter today so risky
Please rank ROS: Adell, W. Abreu, Willson Contreras, Nimmo. Trying to upgrade my UT spot. Thanks!
You did
Thanks Grey. Soderstrom ahead of them all?
Yup
Tommy Hutton not bad on Miami TV. Had my doubts with an 80-yr.-old, but ok. Like, I think Al Michaels should be gone from football broadcasts at 81.
Hutt! He’s good
Interesting Tommy Hutton trivia.. when he was a player he was a mediocre hitter with no power, but for some reason he raked against the great Tom Seaver.
The Hoerner blurb made me smile, but the expected Suzuki immediate follow-up literally made me laugh-choke on my lunch. Fantastic stuff.
Trade one of my IL’d OF for any of these IL’d pitchers, or is that bordering on rosterbating?
Starting J-Rod, Jordan Walker, Wood, Daulton Varsho (U)
My Rooker or Yelich for
G Cole
H Brown
Snell
H Greene
thanks!
Thanks! Yelich for Brown or Cole works for me
Add Dollander and drop Bibee, Senga or Wrobleski
Bibee
Which catching are you running with: Rushings, Jeffers, Hicks or Basallo?
10 Team league with OPS instead of Avg
Jeffers
can you help me with who to trade out of these SP’s in a 12 team roto league. Weathers, Warren, Vasquez and Dollander. Thank you.
Warren
I’m not sure Vasquez and Dollander have much tradable value.
And another PTS league trade:
Yordan Alvarez, Freedie Freeman, and Michael King
or
Julio Rodriguez, Fernando Tatis, and Nolan McLean
Tatis
Drop Sheehan or Bradish for Tolle or Scott??
Sheehan for Tolle
A scoring change was made on the dropped flyball for Bradish. 2 earned runs and a hit gone. That should give him a qs. Its not much but I will take anything.
Lowers his ERA too then…to?
My math says it drops his era from 4.68 to 3.96 and his whip from 1.80 to 1.76 (sigh). Going to take a while to get that whip down after that last outing.
Ha, it’s something!
PTS league, trade Taylor Ward (bench OF spot) and Messick for Cam Schlittler?
Sure
Looks like Didier will be starting tonight. Would you drop Early for him?
No
Early bird in the hand. has looked excellent. didier upside to the moon. probably has some innings restrictions. lean sexy didier unless you have shaky pitching and need some more bankable innings
Would you trade away B Ashcraft and Cam Smith for Happ and T Megill if you needed a LF? I currently have an option of Bauers or Sheets for LF so could just hold.
Nah
I like Cam too. I could offer Sheets and Ashcraft for Happ. Then backfill off the WW with Bauers. Or is it better to hold. Thanks!
Would you drop Hancock or Cantillo for Christian Scott?
Nope
In my 12 team H2H keeper league where AVG and OBP are counted as separate categories, the guy in last by quite a bit despite season only just starting has Judge who wont be able to be kept for him anymore next year (so a likely trade chip he may exercise if he remains at the bottom). I have some very good keepers and potential options for next year and wondering if any are worth offering now. My team is as follows and will put keeper status next to them. We can keep 7 so as of now Elly, Julio, Wood, Turang, Carroll, George Lombard, and Will Smith are my tentative 7 (with Early and Hancock as outside options to replace Smith); Trout also an outside option. Players can no longer be kept after they hit the 2nd round, losing a single round each year.
C Will Smith (10th round next year)
1b Alonso (cannot be kept)
2b Turang (7th rd next year)
SS Elly (9th next year)
OF JuRod (4th round next year)
OF Wood (8th rd next year)
OF Carroll (6th rd next year)
Util Trout (11th round next year)
Util Yelich (3rd round next year)
NA Lombard Jr (11th or 12th round next year)
Bench – Royce Lewis (11th or 12th round next year); Volpe (10th round next year)
For my pitching, only option for potential keeper may be Early or Hancock depending how they look by end of year (and would be around 10th/11th round if keep); rest of SP staff not worth listing
Is Judge rental worth a trade for any of my current OF or other keeper options?
I don’t know what you’re asking…Is Judge worth trading for? Sure, what’s the trade
Meaning would renting Judge for this year be worth trading for single keeper options I currently have on my roster such as JuRod or Carroll, who I can keep in 4th and 6th rounds next year, respectively?
Nah, hold what you have
drop one to activate boyd from IL – christian scott, bradish, ranger suarez, jack leiter, didier, woodruff
Scott
Rank these available hitters. Are any of them must adds? 16 team OPS H2H Cat league
O. Peraza
B. Rocchio
C. Mead
L. Taveras
N. Church
Peraza, Church…I don’t know if they’re must adds, are they? do you need them?
Just looking for a solid bench bat. Thanks for the input!
No problem
Ive got DeGrom, Ranger S, Eovaldi, Will Warren, M. Kelly, Luzardo & Nola as starters with Rodon on IL & Relievers- D Williams, Vesia, & B Treinen w/ E. Diaz on IL Both Christian Scott & Noah Schultz Justin Wrobleski & Lugo are all available. Suggestions who to pick up and who to drop please…. I could use an extra receiver at some point too…put my starters have been ick
Lugo over Nola
Thanks Grey, ha I can be guilty ( many times of chasing those hot young arms). I also was able to pick up Devers for free..some one got frustrated and sent their 2nd round pick to the waivers so I dropped R Lopez to pick him up ( so essentially free after he got his power punched out lol). But I have Sal Stewart * Ohtani. so dont have a place for him other then off days but was hoping to use hi. to trade for a quality receiver or starter…
No problem
Hello Grey! Great stuff as usual. Glad you got some R. Iglesias off your chest – HA!
Yet another Dollander question. Would you add him over any of these guys in a Yahoo 10 Team H2H Points League:
R. Ray
E. Hancock (that name always reminds me of Scarface when Tony asks Alvira (M. Pfeiffer) her last name when they are dancing?)
T. Bradley
M. Soroka
R. Suarez
L. Roupp
Thanks much Grey.
That’s funny on Hancock…I don’t know who you’re dropping here, I guess can lose Hancock for Dollander, but it’s a bit risky because Hancock is safer
And while I was typing, I saw an NA come up on Weathers. Paternity Leave and he will still start Saturday. Whew!
So he gets 3 days off for a baby? The last guy in my office who had a kid was gone for like 3 months – HA!
Oh, and I guess you could add Weathers to the list of who is an option to drop for Dollander.
Thanks again Grey.
HAHA
Thanks for all that Grey.
And I was not really expecting you to advise me to drop any of those guys that I listed, so all cool. I am not totally convinced yet on guys like Bradley, Soroka, Suarez, or Roupp, but I will give them some more rope.
They look excellent
Would you drop Detmers or Baz for Dollander, or just hold?
Baz
Completely paralyzed with indecision. Help!
Need to move Iglesias into IL slot. Need a reliever. Options: Junis, Beeter, Straham, Vodnik, Adam. SV = 7 HLD = 3.
In order to make room I need to drop Rutschman (currently in a DL slot) or Dingler.
Also, still have Schultz in my NA slot so will need to drop one of the following: Jacob Wilson, Muncy (LAD), Adell, Caglianone, Ryne Nelson, Ryan Weathers, Noah Schultz.
12 tm Pts league, fairly position agnostic but have greater pitching depth w/ some potentially good arms coming out of the IL at some point.
1B: Olson, Aranda
2B: Altuve, Chisolm
3B: Chisolm, Muncy
SS Seager, Mcgonigle, Wilson
LF: Nimmo, Jordan Walker, Yelich, Altuve
CF: Nimmo, Adell
RF: Tucker, Walker, Caglianone
SP: Crochet, Eury, deGrom, Schlittler, Bubba, Woodruff, Weathers, Nelson
IL: Steele, Lodolo, Jared Jones, Yelich, Rutschman
NA Schultz
Sorry – to be clearer.
Pick up: Junis, Better, Straham, Vodnik, Adam?
Drop:
nelson for vodnik and coin flip for catchers but albright prefers dingler i’d guess
1. Adley 2. Ryne
Junis
Lose Nelson
you go junis over vv is for victory victoria?
Haha, flip a coin, Vodnik still scares me a bit and only used as a closer for few chances
i’ve been watching a lot of rockies as you know. vodnik is a bulldog. a lot of high wire saves. the earl weaver don stanhouse full packer. vodnik was splitting with mejia, but mejia blew a couole and they’ve used him as an opener and in some lower leverage.
junis has a 4 k/9 and a 3 bb/9 and a .189 babip. he has been pretty good at staying off the barrel. not really arguing with ya. just hanging around the checkstand today waiting for customers.
Haha, I hear ya, and I don’t hate Vodnik
dynasty league drop painter for christian scott?
not for me
no
Marsee or Duran
Duran
12 Team NL only…went with an offense heavy squad this year in hopes of picking up SP’s along the way; for rest of season, how would you order these pitchers (taking injuries into consideration):
Schwellenbach
Jared Jones (PIT)
Dollander
Scott (NYM)
Logan Henderson
Steele
Priester
Thanks! I know this is a collection of ****
Dollander, Scott, Jones
i can get didier fuentes for edward cabrerra
thoughts?
I’d want more
He was awful his first two starts but Dustin May has looked really good the last 3 (albeit vs. shitty teams – Boston Cleveland, Miami)
Anything there under the hood or just streamer?
Meh, maybe, too early to say
Grey,
Great job as always!
Thanks!
1. Both, Reynaldo, Enyel 2. Miller
I was only smart enough to start Fuentes this week. I’ll have to wait on Scott and Tolle, and stickin with Crochet this week. If he flounders get him out?
Ha, yup
Just picked up Tolle
Tolle or Didier ?
Didier
Hey Grey,
-My RPs are: O’Brien, Baker, Junis, and Vesia…would you drop any for Scott, Varland, and/or De Los Santos?
-Would you drop down to 3 closers (10 team league) to pick up Dollander, and if so, who would you drop from the above?
-Would you pick up Palencia to put on the IL, with the hope he will take back the closer role in a couple of weeks?
Thanks!
Baker for Dollander
Vesia for Palencia
Think Benge gets sent down?
He should
16 team dynasty, Cat H2H, OPS large(ish) rosters. Is Brett Baty worth keeping around or can he be cut?
Lose him
Gray, 1) have been stashing Didier Fuentes. Drop now for C Scott or Tolle? QS league. How aggressive with FAAB? 2) Adley or Rushing ROS? Thank you!
Just noticed Didier starting tonight. Can still drop Harrison or Senga for tolle or c scott?
Harrison for Tolle
1. Didier is starting today 2. Rushing
Hey Grey,
Thanks for backing up my gut feeling about Dollander earlier this week.
Kept him over a couple other guys and Dollander didnt disappoint in my 20 team h2h cat dynasty. Its a tough league and my rotation, like most I’m sure, has been hit hard w/ injuries.
Thanks for all your hard work and props to everyone at Razzball. Great stuff.
Thanks amigo.
No problem
Drop Sheehan for didier?
Sure
I’ll give you 10 guesses as to which team leads the major leagues in runs scored. no peeking.
Foster Griffin I love the whole approach. He’s a little like Justin Steele in the arm angle and the way he’s able to attack right handers and crowd them inside. Better command than Steele. Wish I would have gotten in NFBC. I had him on my radar early but didn’t pull the trigger.
Dodgers…Yeah, agreed on Griffin
shockingly not the dodgers. care to guess again? or just get it over with?
the dodgers are 4th by the way. the pirates are 10th! the bottom 5 is mets, giants, phillies, royals, red sox.
Nats
Nats. Was surprised. Jake Young hitting in the three spot yesterday. Always liked that guy.
Young is one of the few guys I got right so far in my NL Only — still early!
Need 5th OF in a 12 teamer…Doyle, J.H. Lee, Taveras, J.Young?
Young
brief movie interlude: did you like Gomorrah the Movie?
I did, but not as much as the series…the TV show is one of the best ever
the movie is rough. just got around to it yesterday (criterion channel!). like goodfellas meets cinema verite.
i’ll watch the tv show when it hits Tubi
you haven’t seen the TV show? Oh, Steve, you’re in for a treat
criterion and mlb are the only streaming service i have. no cable no nuthin.
I think I had to download Gomorrah the TV show…don’t think it’s streaming anywhere
Gomorrah (series) is on HBO currently
Oh nice! Worth the month or two sub to watch it
Should also be on HBA MAX and Hulu I think. Great stuff.
Ah nice, yeah, it’s amazing
Haven’t seen it yet, but hoping the Peaky Blinders movie is much better than this was.
Didn’t hear good things
Didier or C.Scott or both? need SP5/6
severely angered at myself for not grabbing varland 2 days ago against my gut as a guy rostering erceg
Like im so angry im tempted to try to flip yesavage for him lol
Didier
hey Erceg got a win and only walked one guy! Progress?
Noah Schultz or Tolle?
Noah Schultz or Christian Scott?
Schultz, flip a coin
Schultz
Cut Jackson Holiday for Dollander?
apples/oranges, but ok
Dude I stunk at drafting pitchers this year other then Ohtani.
Bradish Lodolo (IL) Sheehan were supposed to be my top 4 yikes!
Right now my pitchers are those 4 plus Mcclanahan Sheenan Soraka Early Chandler Fuentes Hancock and Shultz.
my RPs are Uribe Scott and Varland
This is 5×5 with QS instead of wins and net svs holds
Would you drop any for Tolle or Dollander (will Dollander enter the rotation?????) I am worried as soon as I drop Sheenan or Mclanaman they will do great and make me feel stupid.
and Sabrowski seems to be doing great for holds is he worth a swap?
Thanks man I always enjoy reading the articles. I just wish they always applied to my teams needs and formats you know? I’m greedy!
McClanahan for Tolle
Thanks G! Where would Dollander fit if he started games?
I said in the post he’s basically a top 10 starter
Oh sorry I wrote that wrong. I meant with my guys… Obviously would want him then after what you had said. MB for increasing your chances at a brain aneurism or something for trying to answer questions all day where most of them you think are obvious!
Dollander, Tolle, McClanahan
Watched that Hoffman implosion/Varland save. Hoffman still trusts that fastball and I don’t know why. Slider was so deceptive he had guys swinging at it when it was MILES off the plate. I think he’s in his own head. Varland came in and put a mercy bullet in it. They would be crazy to continue with Hoffman at this point, but hey! This is major league baseball!!!!
Yeah, I hear ya
Didier to the rescue!
YES!
Missed out on Tolle and all Christian Scott, Prielipp, and Randy Vasquez are on the wire. Should I drop Harrison for one of them? Looking for whoever might have the best season (not just help me this week).
Randy
Ryan Weathers or Chase Dollander?
both, baby. there is a thing with weathers to keep on the radar though. they’re going to have cole, fried, schlittler and rodon locked in the rotation at some point. that leaves weathers or warren who has also been excellent for one spot or they go six man.
dollander…101 fastball plays at any altitude. being in that bulk role is a pretty sexy dodge around the win rule if the offense can just give him a little help.
good problem to have i guess.
Dollander’s stuff really ticked up. Always looking for pitching help in my deep league, it’s a weekly lineup lock, so he may be worth just pitching away from Coors now
He looks terrific!
Weathers
Drop Baz for Scott?
Yes
I’d drop Baz for a face full of soiled nursing home diapers.
Is Kelly a hold or drop for Christian Scott?
Drop
7×7 roto – ERA, WHIP, OBPA, W, QS
Messick or Lugo?
Avg, OBP, SLG
Muncy (LAD) or Murakami?
Lugo
Murakami
Drop Gallen for Christian Scott?
Sure
Would you start Kyle Leahy (@MIA, @PIT)for either of his next two starts. H2H K/9, QS league
I am
Thanks
No problem
Stream Bueler in Colorado today
Nah
pffft
My 2 RP’S in 10 team HtH league are Hoffman and Helsley. I benched Hoffman after his brutal start to the season and added Detmers for his two start week. Thinking about dropping Hoffman, adding Palencia and using Detmers in that slot until Palencia is back from the IL
Other RP options on the wire are Suarez, Vesia, Tolle, Junis… What you think Grey?
Works for me
Vinnie P and Rasmussen or Burger ad McLean ?
McLean
Didier party tonight! Let’s goooo!
Also for everyone wondering about Dollander… Buy that man!
Varland, Colson Montgomery, Caglianone, and Volpe too! If you have the space… these are just some of the waivers I’ve seen in 12 teamers. All the best Rosterbaters and Razzballers. Grey awesome write up… Definitely sang a little Aerosmith angel song today cause of you. lol
Haha
Let’s gooooo!
Went 12 to 6 real quick… stashed for nothing… he is only a pup… playing the careless whisperer saxophone in the background. Bye Didier… on to the next
Ha
Good Morning Buddee! Fantasy Season has been good so far, thanks to your rankings! Sal Stewart, Wood and Nico are killing it! I need Vinnie to catch up with the rest of the squad. SP has been strong, I grabbed Bibee off waivers, but I love me some Tolle-berone! Tolle for Arrighetti or hold?
Current Staff:
Woo-Tang Sauce
Sancheeze (Figured I’d roster both dark horse Cy Youngs for AL & NL, HA!)
McLean (the new McRib)
Gausman (I need some Pepto)
Messick Mystery Meat
Hancock Helper
Early Bird Special
Bibee Wahoo Pierogi
Arrighetti Alfredo
Tolle over Arrighetti, yeah
Hey Grey!
lol @ Montgomery. I STILL don’t understand why they don’t use that stuff for everything!
10tm H2H (no Keep). Currently have:
C-Rutchman
1B-Cake Batter
2B-Turang
3B-Caminero
SS-McGonigle/Adames
OF-Acuna Jr, Oneil Cruz, Walker, Duran
Util-Yandy Diaz
SP-Perez, Burns, Eovaldi, Taj Mah-Ace, Leiter, Bradish
IL-Lodolo, Yesavage
1) Re C: Would you replace (ROS) Adley with: Alvarez? Rushing? Jeffers? Sanchez?
2) Re OF: Duran is the worst (1HR,17TB, hitting .162) Is he droppable, or a hold?
3) Re SP: would you replace (ROS) any with Dollander? Vasquez? Tolle? Elder? Roupp? Cantillo?
Haha 1. Jeffers 2. Hold 3. I don’t know how you get them on your team, but they’re all great…in that shallow of a league, I’d likely lose Bradish and go Randy
Excellent. Thank you. I was concerned about Bradish.
FYI: I picked them ALL up my listening to you! Piece by piece! and watching waivers!
I will revisit this next week when Lodolo and Yesavage are back and need room…
Gracias!
No problem
Is it crazy to consider picking up Murakami over Alonso in a points league?
Not crazy
10 team AL 5×5 only…have Kenley and Hoffman with Kirby Yates on bench…drop Yates for Kuenel or roll with Hoffman / Yates combo as 2nd closer?
Hold
Reports are that Spencer Strider was hitting 98 MPH in his rehab start and looked more like 2023 Strider than post injury Strider. You buying?
Yup
Hey Grey,
Great write up!
In a standard 5×5 OBP, 10 team h2h league
Pick 1 ROS:
Raley
Paredes
Heliot Ramos
Thank you!
Ramos
Devin Williams cannot pitch in NYC. Ship him to a more obscure town, Milwaukee, Seattle, KC, Tampa, etc. and he excels. Can someone say Sonny *don’t call me Santino* Gray?
Haha
excited to be back in the comments for another year!
competitive and thin wire for 12 team H2H points league. Need 3B help. pls pick best rest of year option:
Correa (currently rostered)
Matt Shaw
Isaac Paredes
Addison Barger
Arenado
Really rest of the year? Then hold
lol yeaaaaa that’s what I’m working with. thanks
No problem
Punch the mechanics out of him? You can actually do that?
White Sox calling up William Ligue and the Hanson brothers for the weekend series against the Nationals.
I don’t know ha
I’m putting on the foil in solidarity!
Good luck with Christian Scott. I hope he pitches well as life long Mets fan, and because the kid has been though it, but I don’t see it. He’s got a good arm, but they all have good arms. My guess he gets hammered this week. When does Steve Cohen finally take his loss on David Stearns. This is the worst Mets team I have ever seen, and I’ve seen a lot of them.
Not a mets fan but this storyline is crazy…everything that can fail is failing
HAHA
Hopefully
Drop Baz and/or Detmers for Dollander and/or Christian Scott?
Baz for Dollander
is Shane Baz a hold in 12 tm 6×6 QS league or no better than a streamer? Been looking for a pitcher to cut and he’s probably behind guys I picked up off waivers like Early, Vasquez, Hancock, and Soroka.
Streamer
Morning G!
Drop Roupp or Cantillo for a C. Scott flier?
Despite his control problems, Roupp has had excellent results + statcast loves him, so I don’t know what to make of him.
TYSM!
-IANASM
Hold
Thanks! I see Didier is coming now… thinking it’s probably a spot start though or do you see it differently? Worth dropping either for him?
I’m worried it’s a spot start
Morning Grey! Which side of this trade do you like? Is it close?
Mike Trout, Chandler Simpson, Konnor Griffin
for
Roman Anthony, Ceddanne Rafaela, Vinnie Pasquantino
Roman
Would you drop Kyle Harrison for Christian Scott? I’m sort of pitcher rich
Yes
Thank you, much appreciated! (I also REALLY appreciate that you told me in the preseason to keep McLean over Bubba Chandler)
Nice!
Vasquez earned the #16 slot on the 100 Best Fantasy Starts list. Lopez was good for the 5th worst start of the season..
Ugh, ha, Reynaldo!
Will Paddack start the AS game? Man he is sooo close to being awesome. Forget the fact that he’s never done it. At age 30, this is his year!
Junk + Paddack = 0-6. Fish are 11-13.
No reason for Braxton Garett to be in minors. < Please don’t read that wrong.
Snelling might be ok too. Fish could be a playoff team!
Haha
Have to arrange my FAAB bids — drop Cantillo for Tolle, Scott, Dollander, or a recently dropped Romano? QS league. If there are multiple players above you’d willingly swap for Cantillo, plz rank them, thank you!
Cantillo’s been fine
Is Devin Williams a drop? 10tm 6×6 OBP QS.
xERA 3.40
xFIP 4.24
K%, Chase%, and Wiff% are all elite.
Add Dollander, Meyer, Christian Scott, Didier over Williams (already picked up Tolle)
Thanks!
Apples/oranges, you don’t need saves? I guess Dollander
I have Pagan and Santana. I had Williams and Lopez going last night so my ratios are dead this week (1IP, 6H, 6ER, 6BB, 1K between both). Hoping to secure a few more Ks and a possible W. I try to avoid rage dropping so came here for an expert opinion.
Are we Lynching Merrill?
I know it’s early and he’s shaking off rust to an extent, but his command has been awful. He’s probably a 2-start cookie next week @MIL, @CHC
I wouldn’t start him anywhere
Dollander or Wrobowski (LAD)?
Dollander
Grey, Good daily info! 12 team, 7×7.
Sproat or Dollander? Ty
Dollander
Hey Grey,
Great stuff as always! I really appreciate all the content you put out and the time you take to respond and interact with all of us!
Now to business lol
ROS who do like better Jeremiah Jackson or Matt McClain?
Really ROS? McLain
Hey Grey! After starting Sheehan at Coors and getting away with it, I sat Vasquez last night. Oh well. Takeaway for ROS: these Rockies are awful and should be streamed against everywhere. Will add to the Dollander Qs – Dollander or Fuentes?
Dollander
12 team Dynasty
Dollander over Christian Scott?
Scott over Baz, Sheehan, Cantillo?
Sorry, odd way to ask that… Dollander over all those pitchers? Add in Sproat. Thanks.
Dollander, Cantillo, Scott
Antonacci’s first major-league homer was crazy. The ball appeared to touch the ball dude, and Arizona’s left fielder stopped.
Oh wow, I hadn’t seen
Randy Vasquez scares me. Great outings, but I don’t know…numbers look better than actual pitching.
Gotcha
Dollander looked good again…really looking like more than a number 4 starter. Ace stuff…
He has the best stuff of any Rockies prospect ever.
I notice his barrel rate and hard contact is the really only weaknesses currently,.still scary.because of the mile.high.
+1. Have watched him a few times and he looks fantastic. And is going @NYM next time around. AND he is getting an opener, so doesn’t even need to go five to get a win. THO its the Rockies, so there won’t be many wins to be gotten. Wait, that’s three pluses and one minus so actually “+2”.
Yeah, agreed
I have Abbot and Castillo. My pitching is a joke.
Ha! Well done.
HAHA
Most managers take guys out after being a piñata for 2 innings but Torey Lovullo hung Kelly out to dry after a 3 hr inning. He had to make sure he exceeded 100 pitches to give up another run and put more runners on base.
This was the Shite Sox. Kelly i thought was safe but his stuff+ is down. 2nd start, but could still be hurt (back). Lots of loud contact. Drop worthy already?
Haha, I could see losing him
