Happy Saturday, Razzball faithful!
It was an evening of excitement, mixed with a bit of bated breath as the most patient fantasy managers in the universe (aka the ones that stashed Bubba Chandler for longer than most of us did) finally got to experience the sweetness of the fruit of self-control that had been rotting on their inactive list/bench for the better part of 4 1/2 months.
I feel like The Chandelier song has some lines that we can relate to:
“I’m gonna swing from the chandelier
From the chandelier
I’m gonna live like tomorrow doesn’t exist
Like it doesn’t exist
I’m gonna fly like a bird through the night
Feel my tears as they dry
I’m gonna swing from the chandelier
From the chandelier”
I managed to hold on to the Pirates’ super-prospect in one home mixed league, so I can relate to the ‘chandelier swinging’ excitement when I first heard that Pittsburgh was calling up the top pitching prospect in baseball.
But, when the Pirates announced that he’d be pitching strictly out of the bullpen instead of bumping one of their less-than-stellar arms out of the rotation…Well, I could feel my tears as they dried. The Pirates never live like tomorrow doesn’t exist.
According to an AI breakdown, “The song ‘Chandelier’ is about dealing with addiction, specifically binge drinking. Sia sings about wanting to party, but also struggling with the pain that comes with it. It’s like wanting to escape but feeling trapped at the same time.”
All I know is that Pirates fans can likely relate to “wanting to escape but feeling trapped at the same time”.
This all brings us to: Bubba Chandler – 4 IP, 0 ER, 2 H, 0 BB, 3 Ks, and the save (1). Someone tell the Dodgers that this is how you do it. Put the guy who throws 98-100 MPH in the bullpen and have him close out games. Save your starters’ arms by yanking them after 5 IP, then let your big gun air it out for a few innings to shut the door.
I mean, fantasy managers hate this (myself included), but if they’re going to manage Bubba’s innings by banishing him to the bullpen, this is the best we could have asked for from Mr. Chandler.
I watched his first two innings. The double to Orlando Arcia was hit hard, but the 100 MPH fastball to strike out Ryan Ritter right after that? Straight filth. Then he did it again when he blew a high one by Mickey Moniak to finish off the 5th inning.
When I saw this picture of Chandler at the start of the broadcast, I had to do a double-take to make sure the Pirates weren’t pinching pennies again and re-using a Paul Skenes photo to save money.
So Bubba was the big story on Friday, but we have a lot more news and notes to run through!
Here’s what else I saw in fantasy baseball last night …
Braxton Ashcraft – 5 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 1 BB, 6 Ks, and his 4th win. ERA at 2.70. Wow. You’d think a guy named after a female ’90s R&B artist would be used to having to elevate his game, but still, this was very impressive. It’s almost as if he were trying to prove he belongs. Like the Pirates were auditioning a new pitcher this week, and “Don’t call me Toni” was chucking for his rotation spot. Hmm…I wonder who that could be.
Tommy Pham – 2-for-3, 3 R, 2 RBI, HR (7), and a caught stealing. Batting .267. I had to coach the youngest last night, so I started watching this one late. I wonder if Pham bat-tossed after the home run like he did after the walk against the Jays last week. EDIT: He did not flip the bat.
I’d make fun of Pham for the CS, but he might come after me.
Andrew McCutchen – 2-for-4, 4 RBI. Batting .240. I was torn at the trade deadline when it came to Cutch. Part of me wanted to see him dealt to a contender, and part of me wanted to see him finish things up at PNC.
Spencer Horwitz – 2-for-5, 2 R, 1 RBI, HR (6). Bating .259. A former Blue Jay leading off for the Pirates? With the same last name as a Beastie Boy? Kind of? The only way this gets any cooler is if he were sporting a matching Skenes/Chandler mustache.
Oh wait.
Cade Cavalli – 6 IP, 3 ER, 7 H, 2 BB, 4 Ks, and the no-decision. ERA at 2.82. He’s averaged 90 pitches through his first four starts and has allowed just 7 ER in his 22.1 IP. To say the audition for a permanent spot in the rotation is going well would be an understatement.
Riley Adams – 1-for-4, 1 R, 3 RBI, HR (8). Batting .207. I give you Washington’s cleanup hitter! Honestly, the only reason he’s here is that he was responsible for three of the Nats’ five runs.
Jhoan Duran – 1 IP, 1 ER, 2 H, 0 BB, 3 Ks, and the blown save (5th loss). ERA at 1.93. The biggest trade deadline move stumbled a bit last night, but I’ll take these trip-ups if he can continue to pitch the way he has since the beginning of August. The last time he allowed an ER was July 28th.
Trea Turner – 0-for-5, RBI, SB (32). Batting .300. The Treat Urner’s 10-game hit streak ended last night, but he managed to chip in with some counting stats anyway.
Nick Castellanos – 3-for-4, 2 R. Batting .257. No deep drives to left field to interrupt anyone’s apologies last night, but some production nonetheless.
Bryson Stott – 2-for-4, 1 R, 2 RBI, HR (9). Batting .250. Grey mentioned it last week, but Stott has had a quiet, if not boring, season that plays well in most leagues as long as he wasn’t your only 2B. As a middle infielder, I’ll take close to double-digit homers along with those 21 SBs when there’s still 6 weeks to go in the season.
Brayan Bello – 7 IP, 0 ER, 3 H, 1 BB, 5 Ks, and his 10th win. ERA at 3.07. Last night was his 4th QS in his last 5 starts. Bello’s ability to rip off 6+ innings with 3 or fewer earned runs has been a bit of a thing this season, and something I highlighted in my August 4th Top 100 Starting Pitchers article here. Rolling into Yankee Stadium and doing it against their ace? That’s another level.
Jhostynxon Garcia – 0-for-3. The Red Sox’s newest rookie’s first game in the bigs wasn’t very memorable. But if we can mash up that first name with a ghost and a former president? Ya. Forget the nickname, “The Password”, let’s call him “The Crooked Apparition”. No?
Aroldis Chapman – 1 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 BB, 2 Ks, and his 24th save. There wasn’t much offense to report outside of 3 hits from Alex Bregman and a Connor Wong RBI, so Chapman’s save is worth a mention here.
Max Fried – 6 IP, 0 ER, 4 H, 3 BB, 7 Ks, and the no-decision. ERA at 3.14. He got outdueled by Bello and will have to wait for next week’s start vs WSH for another crack at win #14.
Lance McCullers Jr. – 4 IP, 3 ER, 5 H, 5 BB, 4 Ks, and the no-decision. ERA at 6.89. So, it wasn’t a great first start back for Lance Romance. But if you were stashing him on your bench for a month, I hate to break it to you. You’ve got even bigger problems than McCullers does when trying to find the strike zone.
Jeremy Pena – 2-for-5, 1 R, 4 RBI, HR (14). Batting .307. Serious question. If he gets to 20/20 (he has 17 SBs) and hits above .300, where does he rank in 2026 SS lists? Witt, Elly, then…? Lindor? Gunnar? Pena?
Christian Walker – 1-for-5, 1 R, 3 RBI, HR (18), and his second home run in two games. Batting .234. Walker shook off a 10-game homerless drought and now has two in his last 2 GP.
Bryan Abreu – 1.1 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 BB, 4 Ks, and his 2nd save. ERA at 1.54. Josh who? Oh come on, don’t be such a Hader.
Cade Povich – 4.2 IP, 4 ER, (6 R), 4 H, 2 BB, 5 K,s and his 7th loss. ERA at 5.13. At least McCullers wasn’t the only starter to have a bad game.
Jeremiah Jackson – 2-for-5, 3 RBI. Batting .327 (in 50 ABs). He keeps on producing and hoping that Tyler O’Neill sneezes and blows out a few ribs before he starts his rehab assignment at the end of next week.
Jackson Holliday – 1-for-3, 1 RBI, 1 SB (9). Batting .243. True story alert. I dealt a $6 Holliday in an AL-Only (auction) keeper league this week to load up on a run for first place. Hopefully, it doesn’t blow up in my face.
Dylan Beavers – 1-for-3, 2 R, 2 BB. Batting .300 (20 ABs). The only thing that was disappointing about Beavers was learning he wasn’t Canadian. I’d ask if we can find any Beavers in California (where he was born), but I fear that might get us tagged with a PG-13 rating.
Shane Bieber – 6 IP, 1 ER, (solo HR), 2 H, 0 BB, 9 Ks, and his first win as a Blue Jay. Baby, baby, baby, OH! Biebs threw 87 pitches in this one, and if anyone is looking for tips on how to impress your new co-workers, this is it. Could he do even better in MIN next week? Never say never.
Dalton Varsho – 2-for-4, 2 R, 3 RBI, HR (14). Batting .236. The average looks pretty meh until you look a bit more closely and see that Varsho is hitting .288 since returning to the lineup after being out for 2 months.
Jeff Hoffman – 1 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 1 BB, 0 K, and his 28th save. ERA at 4.08. When it’s going well, it’s all good. When it’s not, well, something’s off, man. Here’s hoping Seranthony and Louis Varland can keep the 7th and 8th innings clear for their closer ROS.
Ryan Gusto – 6 IP, 5 ER, 7 H, 1 BB, 0 K, and his 6th loss. ERA at 5.05. Just be thankful that the Gust-o wind that blew through Ryan was measured in MPH last night. It would’ve looked even worse if it were KMs.
Ryan Bergert – 5.2 IP, 2 ER, 3 H, 1 BB, 5 Ks, and the no-decision. ERA at 2.79. WHIP at 1.09. I was thisclose to running with a “Can I get a Bergert and an order of Mize…and a Diet Coke” as our lede today, but decided on Bubba instead. That said, Ryan Bergert has managed to allow more than 2 ER in just two of his 11 starts. The bad news? He also hasn’t completed 6 innings in any of those games.
Vinnie Pasquantino – 2-for-5, 1 R, 2 RBI, HR (27). Batting .263. As cringey as the “Pasquatch” nickname was, this beast is well past his career high in homers, and is just 8 RBIs away from his best mark in that category, too. He might never hit .295 again (2022), but the other counting stats are still there.
Bailey Falter – 2 IP, 4 ER, 6 H, 1 BB, 2 Ks out of the bullpen, and his 7th loss. ERA at 4.45. Remember when I said that Jhoan Duran was the best trade deadline move? This one is what they’d refer to as being “at the other end of the spectrum”.
Casey Mize – 5.2 IP, 3 ER, 9 H, 1 BB, 0 K, and the no-decision. ERA at 3.68. I can handle the 9 hits. The single walk is fine too. But ZERO STRIKEOUTS? Come on, man. Did you use them all up last week when you wiped out 10 Twins?
Riley Greene – 1-for-3, 1 R, 2 RBI, HR (30). Batting .263. 30 homers and 97 RBIs? With 6 weeks to go? I don’t think this kid is challenging 2007 Magglio Ordonez anytime soon, but what a season from the Tigers’ OF.
Zach McKinstry – 3-for-4, 2 R, 1 RBI, HR (11), and a double short of the cycle. Batting .265. If he had completed the cycle, I wouldn’t have complained about having to look up yet another “Zach or Zack” spelling stumper. But here we are.
Nolan McLean – 7 IP, 2 ER, 4 H, 0 BB, 7 Ks, and his 2nd win. ERA at 1.46. That’s No L for Nolan once again, and boy oh boy did he look good. Posting zero walks after putting up four against Seattle in his first start last week is even more encouraging. If your league has checked out for that other fantasy game that starts up this month, go grab him off waivers now!
Francisco Lindor – 3-for-5, 2 R, 2 SB (22). Batting .265. It was an offensive explosion for the Metros last night, and Frankie led the way.
Juan Soto – 3-for-4, 2 R, 4 RBI, HR (32). Batting .251. I’m not sure what surprised me more, the .251 AVG or the 20 SBs. I don’t know if I’d agree with that Little Leaguer who said he’s overrated, but, in that kid’s defense, Soto didn’t even have the most hits on his team last night!
Brett Baty – 4-for-6, 3 R. Batting .249. Hold up. Four hits and you’re still not hitting above .250? Come on, Double B. You’ve got to Be Better than that.
Joey Wentz – 3.1 IP, 6 ER, 9 H, 2 BB, 3 Ks, and his 4th loss. ERA at 5.25. When the other team has an offensive explosion, someone has to have a tough night. Let’s just say Joey’s evening Wentz pretty badly.
Erick Fedde – 4.1 IP, 6 ER, 11 H, 2 BB, 1 K. ERA at 5.76. Remember when I said Bailey Falter is at the other end of the trade deadline spectrum? Well, he’s still ahead of Fedde.
Jurickson Profar – 3-for-4, 1 R, 4 RBI. Batting .260. The Jurickson store called, but they weren’t out of hits last night!
Ronald Acuna Jr. – 2-for-4, 1 R, 2 RBI, HR (15). Batting .305. Excellent! Now just steal 45 bags the rest of the way so I can challenge Kirksey and Coullie for the Perts league title.
Miles Mikolas – 2.2 IP, 4 ER, (2 HR), 10 H, 1 BB, 1 K, and his 10th loss. ERA at 5.17. I wanted to say something nice about Mikolas since today is his birthday, so…at least your birth certificate is newer than mine is? Ya, that’s all I’ve got.
Willson Contreras – 2-for-5, 2 R, 2 RBI, HR (19). Batting .263. Willson, William, Willbert. How many Wills do we need?
Nathan Church – 2-for-4, 1 R, 2 RBI, HR (1). Batting .111. It only took him 4 games to hit his first home run. It would’ve been more poetic if he had waited for Sunday, though.
Adrian Houser – 6.1 IP, 4 ER, 6 H, 2 BB, 2 Ks. ERA at 2.88. A 10-6 final isn’t exactly a cruise to the iVictory Coast, but it was enough to get Houser his 7th win on a night where he was less than stellar.
Carson Williams – 2-for-4, 2 R, 3 RBI, HR (1). What a debut! That’s good for one instant add in Perts (after I send Jordan Westburg back to his often-visited home on the IL). Brandon Lowe (25), Junior Caminero (36), and Tristan Gray (1) also homered in this one as the Rays blew up for 16 hits and 3 SBs (Chandler Simpson, Josh Lowe, Jeff Mangum).
Zebby Matthews – 4.2 IP, 4 ER, 8 H, 3 BB, 4 Ks, and the no-decision. ERA at 5.30. I know it’s a lazy comparison because the Twins just traded for Taj Bradley, but are these two guys the same person? All I know is the pitching coaches have some work to do this offseason. At least they don’t have to sort out Chris Paddack, too.
Justin Topa – 1.2 IP, 0 ER, 2 H, 1 BB, 0 K, and his 3rd save. I don’t know how many opportunities he’ll get the rest of the way, but it looks like Topa is the one to roster in Minnesota. And if you’re reminded of Seth McFarlane’s “The Orville” show every time you hear that last name, you’re not the only one.
Royce Lewis – 3-for-5, 2 R, 4 RBI, HR (7), SB (2). Batting .233. A slam! A grand one! And legs! Quick, someone get the bubble wrap before he hears ‘slam and legs’ and has to be rushed out on a stretcher and lifted into an ambulance.
Luke Keaschall – 2-for-4, 1 RBI. Batting .341. Just a quick reminder that if you stashed the Keasch or added the Keasch before he was activated from the IL, you can savor this more than a good French egg and cheese pie.
Byron Buxton – 2-for-5, 1 R, 1 RBI, SB (19). Batting .272. We need to be careful here. First, I mentioned Lewis. Then Buxton. If I mention Rocco Baldelli, too, a Beetlejuice curse is unleashed, and all three of these guys will collapse into a pile of dust.
Aaron Civale – 5 IP, 4 ER, 5 H, 4 BB, 5 Ks, and the no-decision. ERA at 5.02. All those 4s and 5s are fitting. Civale is about as mid as it gets.
Colson Montgomery – 2-for-5, 2 R, 2 RBI, HR (11). Batting .221. What did the poorly behaved boy’s father tell him would be in his stocking on Christmas morning?
Nathan Eovaldi – 7 IP, 1 ER, 4 H, 0 BB, 9 Ks, and the no-decision. ERA at 1.73. WHIP at 0.85. It’s getting tougher and tougher not to rank this guy among the best in my Top 100 Starting Pitchers list. He moved up to SP16 last week and needs another boost on Monday. Seriously. Which 10 SPs do you rank ahead of this guy? Is it close?
Wyatt Langford – 2-for-4, 2 R, 1 RBI, HR (19). Batting .244. This is another guy who’s well on his way to a 20/20 season (16 SBs). Good thing his cleanup hitter is firing at a robust .161.
Joc Pederson – 2-for-4, 1 RBI. Batting .161! Pederson hit the walk-off double off of Cade Smith last night. No word on whether he then asked him to replace Tommy Pham in his fantasy football league afterwards. Speaking of violence, Rowdy Tellez also hit a 349-foot homer in this one, too.
Slade Cecconi – 6 IP, 2 ER, 4 H, 0 BB, 3 Ks, and the no-decision. ERA at 4.41. Not a bad start, but not good enough to knock out Eovaldi.
Cade Smith – 0 IP, 2 ER, 3 H, 0 BB, and his 5th loss. Back-to-back blown saves for Smith.
Carson Wisenhunt – 4 IP, 2 ER, 4 H, 2 BB, 1 K. ERA at 4.91, and Jose Quintana – 5.1 IP, 2 ER, 2 H, 2 BB, 2 Ks. ERA at 3.32. I had a Jaws reference all queued up where the shark was on a wisenhunt for Quint, but I should have expected a less-than-stellar outing from both of these guys to ruin that fun. The no-decision funkillers were the only winners here last night.
Willy Adames – 2-for-4, 2 R, 2 RBI, 2 HR (21, 22). Batting .224. Will he hit .230 on the year? Will he?!
William Contreras – 2-for-4, 1 R, 2 RBI, HR (14). Batting .258. William walked off the Giants in this one. Not Willson. Or Willbert. But, for what it’s worth, there are a TON of Contrerases (Contrerii?) in the MLB database.
Javier Assad – 6 IP, 1 ER, 2 H, 1 BB, 4 Ks, and the no-decision. ERA at 3.86. You know what they say. You can’t have your Assad and eat it too. Or maybe that’s not the saying at all.
Kyle Tucker – 1-for-4, 1 R, 1 RBI, HR (19). Batting .258. Ha! Busted wrist, Schmusted wrist! Apparently, Craig Counsell said on Wednesday that Tucker’s hand was fully healed. Nice of Counsell to give him the A-OK to start hitting bombs again,
Pete Crow-Armstrong – 1-for-4, 1 R, 1 RBI, HR (28). Batting .258. “My name is PCA and I still do what I please…” What’s this? Could it be? Two Beastie Boys references in one round-up? (Yep).
Danny Palencia – 1 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 0 BB, 2 Ks, and his 19th save. ERA at 1.93. WHIP at 0.96. I’m ok with Matty. Or Kenny. Or even the odd Bobby if it fits. But Danny bugs me. Maybe it’s just lingering flashbacks from The Shining.
Yu Darvish – 6 IP, 1 ER, (HR), 1 H, 1 BB, 5 Ks, and his 3rd win. ERA at 5.36. Yu came out on top in a pitching duel with Blake Snell. Let’s not lose sight of the bullpen work that helped shorten Darvish’s outing to 6 innings, though. Jason Adam pitched a perfect 7th inning. Mason Miller gave up two walks in the 8th. And Robert Suarez threw a scoreless 9th for his 34th save.
Blake Snell – 7 IP, 2 ER, 6 H, 2 BB, 5 Ks, and his 2nd loss. ERA at 1.97. It wasn’t a bad start for Snell; he just ran into a guy who pitched a bit better than he did last night.
Zack Littell – 3 IP, 3 ER, 4 H, 3 BB, 3 Ks, and the no-decision. ERA at 3.62. The Reds used 8 pitchers in this one, with Scott Barlow ultimately getting saddled with the loss (his 2nd).
Elly De La Cruz – 2-for-5, 1 R, 1 RBI. Batting .272. What? No homers OR steals? Weak sauce.
Ryne Nelson – 6 IP, 3 ER, 4 H, 2 BB, 6 Ks, and the no-decision. ERA at 3.63. That’s more like it. A solid quality start. That must mean the D-Backs only used … oh, they used 7 pitchers in this one.
Gabriel Moreno – 2-for-4, 1 R, 3 RBI, HR (6). Batting .275. Guess who’s back! What a nice way to come back off the IL after being out for two months. If you had him stashed, get him activated ASAP.
Luis Morales – 6 IP, 1 ER, 2 H, 0 BB, 6 Ks, and the no-decision. ERA at 1.72. How does a guy throw this kind of gem and still not get a win? Well, that would depend on his opponent (more below!).
Brent Rooker – 2-for-3, 2 R, 1 RBI, HR (26). Batting .272. He’s the only one who could touch the Mariners’ starter for anything more than a single. When you’re facing a guy like the A’s did last night, it’s not exactly a surprise.
Jorge Polanco (19), Josh Naylor (16), Eugenio Suarez (40) – Solo home runs last night to give their starter all the run support he needed on his march to reaching yet another franchise benchmark.
Andres Munoz – 1 IP, 1 ER, 3 H, 1 BB, 2 Ks, and his 30th save. His movement was almost as nasty as his starter’s was, but he survived a few baserunners and locked up said starter’s W. And who would that be?
Bryan Woo – 7 IP, 1 ER, (HR), 1 H, 2 BB, 7 Ks, and his 11th win. ERA at 2.94. WHIP at 0.94. Needless to say, the graphics folks at Root Sports will need to edit that photo for his next start. The Woo-Bot secured his 25th consecutive start of 6+ innings last night to move into a tie for 2nd place with Randy Johnson for the all-time franchise lead. I’m betting he can pass King Felix by the end of September. I’m also betting that you’ll enjoy Monday’s lede as much as I enjoyed putting it together yesterday!
That’s all, folks! I hope you enjoyed it! Be sure to come see me on Monday when the newest Top 100 Starting Pitchers list drops, all polished up with updated revisions and rankings!

Another great job MarmosDad! As I was reading I kept thinking, “wait, where’s Bryan Woo?” But of course you saved the best for last…
As you know from your SP column, after stashing Bubba in my points league for 13 weeks, I finally gave up and let him go… 2 hours before the news dropped that he was being called up. Life’s like that. And clearly we know now that the Pirates were just holding him back until he could perfect his Skenes ‘stache.
Anyway, his performance last night was electric and he racked up 16.5 points in this league, which is outstanding for an RP. But only valuable in points if he can do that twice a week, every week. I think he can do it, but I don’t know that he’ll get a lot of opportunities like this one.
12 team dynasty 5×5 I need an OF and was thinking of offering Ryan Pepiot for Dylan Crews….thoughts?
Obviously, I am not in your league. However, in a dynasty league, I cannot see someone trading a 23 yr. old Crews for a 28 year old Pepiot with a nearly 4 ERA. I’d say if you can get that owner to accept, you do it.
Terrific write-up, I chuckled many a time!
And the Bubba Chandler / Skenes resemblance is classic.
Elly write-up — as an Elly owner, it’s been a rough month. Francona is killing me in not letting Elly run wild….. set the man free please.
MI position is a disgusting lot. Roll the dice with Colson Montgomery or stick with Matt Shaw? I need power numbers but its also a OBP roto league
Not defending Mikolas because he was bad, but 4 infield hits and shoddy defense (Gorman is not a third baseman!) didn’t help.
That makes me feel a lot better about ripping him on his birthday. Thanks Vin!
Bieber had the best start of the night, but it just missed the 100 Best Fantasy Starts list. There were only 4 additions this week:
60 Jack Flaherty Aug 18 vs HOU
67 Logan Webb Aug 17 vs TB
70 Jesus Luzardo Aug 20 vs SEA
74 David Peterson Aug 19 @WSH
Honestly, I thought about you while I was writing him up late last night & wondered if he’d crack the Top 100. Thanks again for always being on top of this, Vin!
But will the timely crowd that has you laughing loud help you dry your tears
When the new wears off of your crystal chandelier
He was certainly sparkling last night.
Man. That 100 MPH high heat to finish off Moniak was dirty.
Gaddis to replace Cade in the Guardian bullpen ?
I can’t see it yet but the more BS we see there, the more likely it is for sure.
Good day good good people ! Who ya got ros at 2b b Lowe or b Baty? Tia
Brandon Lowe, baby!
And it’s Sia, not Tia!
(Jokes!)
Good stuff MD
I appreciate you stepping in for the weekend shift. The SAGNOF need is legit for my squad. Who do you like for a SB this weekend, your boy Straw (playing time issues) or Lile/Young for Washington?
Thanks foxman!
The heart says the Strawman, but the brain says Lile is the hot hand.
All three have playing time concerns, and Lile has been out when the team faces a lefty – like Ranger Suarez on Sunday.
I think you go with Young or Straw and hope for the best just because Liles likely only gets one of these two weekend games. Hopefully the Strawman gets the start against Junk today and can peel off a couple like he did last week in Pittsburgh.
Good luck!
Your rationale is solid. Helps that the Marlins give up a lotta SBs
Let’s go Straw!!!
