Rays got Stone’d yesterday. Not as in they thought it was Max Munchies, and giggled for an hour straight. Not as in they showed too much knee and al-Qaeda stoned them. Not as in they were a fan of The Beatles than they matured into an adult, stopped liking kiddie music, and heard the much better Stones. Not as in getting run over by Fred Flintstone’s car. Not as in being strapped to a chair in a Best Buy and made to watch The Family Stone on repeat on 30 TVs at once. No, this is Stone’d as in Gavin Stone (7 IP, 1 ER, 5 baserunners, 7 Ks, ERA at 3.33). Prolly clear before going through what it’s not, but it never hurts to clarify. So, I saw he was pitching well again, and thought to myself, “Gavin Stone is breaking out this year,” then I went to look at his peripherals and, wow, is he mid, as the kids say. The kids don’t say, “As the kids say,” for what it’s Wuertz. A 7.5 K/9, 2.4 BB/9, and pitching barely as a decent number five. Rays might’ve been Stone’d, but you’re taking bong hits if you think he’s anywhere close to an ace. Anyway, here’s what else I saw this weekend in fantasy baseball:
Mookie Betts – 1-for-3, 2 RBIs and his 13th homer. Mookie Best! (Though, Ohtani having a 40/40 year while still in August might be a little better than Betts.)
Taj Bradley – 6 IP, 5 ER, ERA at 3.77 vs. Clayton Kershaw – 5 IP, 5 ER, ERA at 3.72. How does the saying go, something old, something new, something something I’m screwed?
Jonny DeLuca – 2-for-3 and his 4th homer. Went to look on waivers for who had the most steals in the last week, because I need badly, and DeLuca was the top of the list. Hopefully you have better choices!
Bowden Francis – 8 IP, 1 ER, 1 hit, 3 walks, 12 Ks, ERA at 4.02. Hitters get on a ridonk run. A rundonk, so to speak. Tyler Fitzgerald comes to mind. Pitchers don’t usually go on rundonks like this, usually. Sure, you’ll get a pitcher like Seth Lugo who is better than he usually is for three months, but better, relatively. Lugo is a solid pitcher, which makes me think Francis is too. I mentioned this a few times before, but I saw Francis in Spring Training, and he looked great. He was a sleeper of mine, if he broke camp. Sadly, the Jays don’t know what they’re doing and sent him down. Is he a 8 IP, 12 Ks every time type great pitcher? No, the Angels suck, but he is more solid than “random three-game rundonk where he looks great but isn’t.”
Kevin Gausman – 7 IP, 1 ER, 2 hits, zero walks, 10 Ks, ERA at 4.10. See the part of the above blurb where I said “Angels suck.”
Alejandro Kirk – 1-for-4, 3 RBIs and his 5th homer, 2nd homer in a week, hitting near-.400 in the last week, and I nearly put in a FAAB bid for him, but I just couldn’t pull the trigger. Maybe you have less discretion than I.
Addison Barger – 2-for-3, 2 runs, 2 RBIs and his 5th homer, 2nd homer in three games. Hot schmotato alert!
Brandon Drury – 1-for-3 and his 2nd homer, hitting .157. Angels just extended their GM’s contract, and, with free agent acquisitions like Drury, it’s no wonder the Angels are the American League’s Rockies.
Aaron Judge – 2-for-4, 3 RBIs and his 50th and 51st homer. “Where and when do I report?” “Uhh…Roger Maris Jr., the thing is Judge already broke your dad’s record so I don’t think we really need you to show up at the park.” “What if I file paperwork to become Aaron Judge Jr.?”
Giancarlo Stanton – 2-for-3 and his 23rd homer, 3rd homer in three games. Think I might go to Cooperstown when Giancarlo is inducted. I’ll be the one in the wedding gown.
Juan Soto – 2-for-4, 2 RBIs and his 37th homer. For Sexy Dr. Pepper’s fantasy value next year, I hope he stays right where he is. Yanks can just defer five hundred million until the day after the apocalypse. Can you put that in a contract?
Gleyber Torres – 2-for-4, 2 runs, 4 RBIs and his 11th homer, as he hits leadoff. In front of Judge and Soto is the best spot to hit in baseball, and that spot chews up and spits out so many players not up to the task. Volpe? Sorry! Ben Rice? Ya suck, goodbye! Verdugo? You’re actually worse!
Ranger Suarez – 5 IP, 1 ER, 5 baserunners, 6 Ks, ERA at 2.82 as he was activated from the IL. Kevin from ESPN’s “Get Him In Your Lineup” Department said, “Yes, I was the one who set up the slip’n slide in the front lobby. Cool, right?”
Nick Castellanos – 1-for-5, 2 RBIs and his 17th homer, hitting .250. Was a bit shocked how high he is on the Player Rater for outfielders, but it might mean more how awful outfielders are, in general.
Brady Singer – 5 IP, 5 ER, ERA at 3.38, and 4.54 ERA in the last 30 days, and you have to start to wonder if he’s getting by on good vibes and bad farts.
Seth Lugo – 5 1/3 IP, 5 ER, ERA at 3.19. Is Wacha the best Royals’ starter? No. They’re all 3.50 ERA pitchers. Which is fine! It’s just not as goofy low on the ERA as some were.
Bobby Witt Jr. – 2-for-4 and his 26th homer, hitting .347. Totally gonna win the AL MVP (if Judge fails a PEDs test). People with parenthetical blindness are like, “He’s not winning any MVP!”
MJ Melendez – 2-for-3 and his 16th homer, 2nd homer in four games, hitting .210. Michael Jordan Melendez should round third on every homer and give a Blazers game shrug.
Maikel Garcia – 2-for-5 hit his 7th homer. This was the first positive thing Maikel did in August. Don’t feel bad, White Sox haven’t done anything positive all year.
Connor Norby – 3-for-4, 3 runs and his 4th homer, 2nd homer in two games, and, if my FAAB bid comes through, I’m moving on from Morel to Norby.
Javier Assad – 7 IP, 3 ER, 7 baserunners, 3 Ks, ERA at 3.15. Went deeper in the game, but still can’t throw many pitches (87). An Assad aside. Say that fast twelve times!
Albert Suarez – 5 2/3 IP, 2 ER, 6 baserunners, 3 Ks, ERA at 3.18. He’s been way better than he has had any right to be, but had to make a tough call this weekend and dump him, because the Streamonator hates his next, and I don’t trust him enough.
Alex Bregman – 2-for-5 and his 21st homer, hitting .260. Quite possibly the most predictable player in baseball — 24-7 HRs, .270, every year. Kyle Tucker was the most predictable until he retired to raise turtles.
Yainer Diaz – 1-for-5 and his 16th homer. Too bad he’s hitting .250. He is not! You fell for it! He’s hitting .301.
Blake Snell – 3 IP, 2 ER, zero hits, 6 walks, 5 Ks, ERA at 3.76. On Saturday, he couldn’t even HBP a barn.
Camilo Doval – 1 1/3 IP, 0 ER, ERA at 4.57, as he called back up and worked the 7th into the 8th. There’s no reason to go back to Doval with the way Walker is pitching, which is to say, Doval might be getting saves by next Sunday, and it’s impossible to say. My guess is it’s Walker’s job until it’s not. Clear? Not very!
Heliot Ramos – 2-for-4, 2 RBIs and his 20th homer. “He’s on a 35 homer pace in 162 games.” Thanks, Mr. Prorater. “I could tell you were wondering.”
Grant McCray – 2-for-3 and his 2nd homer. On one hand, he seems overmatched by looks of his strikeouts. On the other hand, he has speed and power. On a third hand that is Hamburger Helper, he’s being platooned.
Robbie Ray – 3 IP, 1 ER, ERA at 4.70, and left after feeling something in his hammy. With how he wears his pants, it would be surprising if he didn’t feel everything on his legs.
George Kirby – 4 2/3 IP, 3 ER, 10 baserunners, 3 Ks, ERA at 3.48. Reminds me of the quote from the movie, Moneyball, but slightly different. “If Kirby’s such a good pitcher, why doesn’t he pitch good?”
Dylan Moore – 1-for-2, 1 run, 3 steals (25, 26, 27), hitting .201. Said he wants to get to 30 steals, and he might by the M’s next game. He’s in a perfect place to steal. The Mariners’ offense is like this, “We have literally no one to drive in anyone so if you want to run by all means.”
Bryan Woo – 7 IP, 1 ER, 4 hits, zero walks, 7 Ks, ERA at 2.05. I know EA isn’t everything, but also I know he has a 2.05 ERA.
Eugenio Suarez – 4-for-4, 2 runs, 3 RBIs and his 20th homer, 2nd homer in three games. Was hitting .198 on July 2nd. Has raised that 40+ points. Hit 10 homers in July and four homers in August. Suarez has a case for a top 20 overall 2nd half in baseball.
Geraldo Perdomo – 1-for-4, 2 RBIs and his 3rd homer, and 2nd homer in the week. Could be a light schmotato depending on the very subjective “light.”
Tanner Houck – 6 IP, 6 ER, ERA at 3.23. Way to ruin the Houck tauh meme.
Triston Casas – 2-for-4, 2 runs and his 8th homer. Whaddup, Homes!
Rafael Devers – 1-for-4, 3 RBIs and his 28th homer. Devers delivers!
Tyler O’Neill – 1-for-4 and his 23rd homer. On his way around the bases, he accidentally swallowed a ladybug, which got lodged on his tonsil, and he’ll miss the next two weeks. (I’m guessing at what we’re going to hear today.)
Eddie Rosario – Released by the Mets. Oh, he’s just trying to get popular on the Immaculate Grid now.
David Peterson – 7 1/3 IP, 1 ER, 7 baserunners, 2 Ks, ERA at 2.85. The guy in your league who has Sonny Gray, George Kirby and Snell, “I lost my H2H playoffs to a team with Ben Lively and David Peterson,” as they explain why they’ve abandoned society and started walking the earth.
Jose Quintana – 6 1/3 IP, 0 ER, 6 baserunners, 0 Ks, ERA at 4.36. I started him last time out in a favorable matchup and he got rocked, and then he does this in an awful matchup. You got to be Jo-Quin me!
J.D. Martinez – 2-for-4 and his 15th homer. Just Dong, because that’s what people want!
Mark Vientos – 2-for-4 and his 21st homer. We love Mark Vientos, don’t you boys? (Yes.)
Jurickson Profar – 2-for-4, 2 RBIs and his 21st homer. Also, in this game, Jackson Merrill (1-for-3) hit his 19th homer. I’d put both guys up against the most underrated players in baseball in an Underrated Off. Though, I’m not sure how you would judge it. You win if you’re underrated? But underrated guys don’t win things. Very confusing concept.
David Fry – 1-for-3 and his 13th homer. A Fry fly! Oh crap, now I have that stupid Fireflies song stuck in my head. I need a new head!
Jhonkensy Noel – 1-for-3, 2 runs and his 12th homer, 2nd homer in two games, third homer in four games and 12th homer in 41 games. They are putting up Christmas decorations earlier and earlier every year. Freakin’ Big XMas.
Matthew Boyd – 6 IP, 1 ER, 4 baserunners, 4 Ks, ERA at 2.70. Streamonator loves his next start, and I am willing to let up the brake and start getting in on Flavor Flav’s enthusiasm, YEAH BOYD!
Cody Bradford – 6 IP, 1 ER, 5 baserunners, 3 Ks, ERA at 3.31. It might be a “He hasn’t effed me over as many times” type thing, but I like Bradford more than Boyd. Right now, Cody has 8.1 K/9 (meh), but a 1.5 BB/9 (nice), and very little hard contact. It’s perking my bubbles. Don’t pop ’em.
Luis L. Ortiz – 6 IP, 0 ER, 5 baserunners, 5 Ks, ERA at 3.36. I opened his player stats page and I got the message, “You sure you want to see this?” When I said I was sure, the page said, “No, I’m protecting you from yourself.”
Joey Bart – Left game with a hammy issue. Oh no, don’t damper Bart summer.
Alexis Diaz – 1/3 IP, 2 ER, ERA at 4.37. Before I opened up the box score, I guessed, “Bednar and Diaz blew saves,” but I was only half right.
Zebby Matthews – 5 IP, 1 ER, 4 hits, zero walks, 7 Ks, ERA at 3.00. Made one mistake to Victor Scott II, where Little Zebby was cremed, but watched most of his start, and came away extremely impressed. Knowing when to waste a pitch will help him, but can’t fault a guy too much who pounds the zone. I’m a fan, but not a Not Like Us fan.
Erick Fedde – 6 IP, 1 ER, 5 baserunners, 7 Ks, ERA at 3.31. You know a MILF? Well, Cards’ rotation is all SPILFs. Starters I like for Fantasy! You sickos!
Willson Contreras – Hit the IL with a fractured middle finger. Death knell for truck drivers. For catchers, prolly a few weeks, and droppable.
Sonny Gray – 6 IP, 5 ER, ERA at 4.07. “His underlying numbers say he’s supposed to be better,” I say as I shrink into oblivion.
Reynaldo Lopez – 6 IP, 1 ER, 6 baserunners, 7 Ks, ERA at 2.02. Braves could have two Cy Young contenders (with Sale), and still feel like this is lost year. Or get into the playoffs as a Wild Card and win the World Series, who knows.
Matt Olson – 1-for-4 and his 22nd homer. Judge has 29 more homers than Olson. I don’t even know what else to say.
DJ Herz – 5 IP, 0 ER, 4 baserunners, 8 Ks, ERA at 3.84. I thought only Beyonce and Jay-Z had Herz and His deejays! Bam! Highlights, you want it? No? Okay! You can Streamonator Herz, but I think this solid start says more about the Braves than him.
Tarik Skubal – 5 IP, 3 ER, 8 hits, zero walks, 8 Ks, ERA at 2.58. As Chuck D would say, shut ’em down! Different than what he says in a raw bar, that’s “chute ’em down!”
Who is the drop out of Soler, Kerry Carp, and Josh Jung?
Need to pickup a bat with Xavier Edwards to IL. Will fill 2B from depth. Add Casas, Toglia, or Caminero?
Top 2 of those guys?
Im starting to think this wasnt satire.

Rowdy throwing 45 mph pitches and ends up hitting Wisdom lmao
Pat reported that the last time Cubs stole 8 bases was 1911. “It was a hot summer, one of my first years broadcasting.”
HA!
Ha, I saw
HAHA
Hey there Grey – could use some help. I need to make a couple add/drops for the playoffs! How would you rank the following sets of guys to end the year? OBP and SLG league.
Keibert Ruiz / Jeffers / Del Castillo
Wilyer / Stanton
Gimenez / Lux / India / Tovar
Jeffers
Stanton
Tovar, India
Man, it would be nice if Naylor spread his production out a little. One love, but there are some H2H weeks when he’s been absolutely useless. Rough with the smooth etc and so on I suppose.
Dude goes 3-24 and the will go 3-9 with 3 HR and then go back to his 3-24 ways.
Ha, I can imagine
Ober fans hoping for rainout. Olson fans losing their mind.
Tipping pitches. KC knows and Atlanta figured it out.
For real?
You got a point
Haha
12 team h/h points redraft… Gleyber or India
Gleyber
Man the Cubs are abusing Grandal. 7 steals in 4IP. Guy has allowed 42 steals and caught 6 before today. Had a 13% CS rate.
Haha yeah
Up to 8. Record is 12, 2 tied at 10, and a hanful at 9. They got a shot.
Absolutely!
Dump Langford and pick up PCA?
Drop Semien for Gleyber
Drop Taj, Pivetta or Springs to activate Jared Jones?
Redraft? Get PCA. he hot. sb everywhere. No on Semien. Drop Taj
For steals, sure…I’d want Semien…Taj
It’s a keep-6 but I think I’m keeping Yordan, Devers, Julio, Skubal, Wood and one of Naylor/Casas/Albies/Abrams over Langford unless that sounds crazy
Doesn’t sound crazy
I need W and ratios a looking to make a trade for a SP.
in what order do you prefer Burnes and Framber for stretch run?
Burnes
@Grey: weekly roto. need to start one of these guys. who do you like this week?
fitz – 3 @ mil, 3 vs mia
arozarena – 3 vs tb, 3 @ laa
e suarez – 3 vs nym, 3 vs lad
tovar – 4 vs mia, 3 vs bal
Fitz
In the championship finals and have Robbie Ray. Would you drop to get starters/batters now rather than wait to see if he’ll start Saturday?
I wouldn’t count on Ray
I know how much you catchers (a setter and forgetter myself) but do you want MJM or LOH in an OBP 12er ROS? The ROS Rater is keener on MJM FWIW.
Love an anagram!
MJM
LFG!
LFG!
I have an all-star roster of hurt SP I’ve been stashing. I need an IL spot.
Who do I DROP?
deGrom or Yamamoto
Yamamoto
Thanks, Grey.
Berrios or Woo for roo (W & QS). Both have been great.
Woo
Please rank ROS for a shallow 6×6 roto redraft using QS and W and AVG and OBP
Kirby
Devers
@Grey: weekly roto redraft. tovar/c sanchez for king/xander?
Tovar
@Grey: what about webb or shota instead of king?
They’re better than King
Happy Monday, Grey!
I’m in the money! Secured 1st place for the regular season in my 12-tm H2H league thanks to you and Razzball. I really appreciate it. Now it’s time to get ready for the post-season where more money’s on the line. Where do you think I need to improve to set myself up for a championship run?
Offense (pts lg): Kirk, Burger, Semien, EDLC, Pena, Kwan, Fitzgerald, McCarthy, Toglia, Crews
Pitching (saves/hold): Skubal, Brown, Arrighetti, Schwellenbach, Woo, Francis, Springs, Bido; Miller, Duran, Jax, Chapman, Hodge)
Nice! your pitching is a mess
Hmm, wasn’t expecting that assessment. Do you mean the SPs, RPs, both? Are you worried about several of the starters having their innings limited? Something else?
Skubal, Brown, Arrighetti, Schwellenbach, Woo, Francis, Springs, Bido; all might be limited IP of not worth rostering by next week
maybe not a mess, but Skubal, Schwellenbach, Woo and Springs are already being limited…imagine same for others
The MLB Network cutting in to watch every Judge at-bat makes me think he’s getting bouncy balls again from the league.
Absolutely
Grey
Jared Jones is expected to pitch tomorrow against the Cubs
Keeper League but I figure to possibly only keeping Jones from below list
Who do I drop
Arrighetti $6 next year
Kershaw – not keeping
Gallen not keeping will cost $31 next year
Kershaw
yup
Thats what I was thinking
Thanks
No problem
Jack Leiter is reportedly coming up and facing the White Sox on Wednesday. Is he worth picking up?
meh, guess if you’re desperate, i wouldn’t mess with him
So, Jack Leiter is where you draw the line w/r/t streaming against the White Sux? :)
He has a 16+ ERA
Redraft? See how ratios look Wed AM. Lots of reports velocity up and something clickes. Weve also heard this before.
Is it time to drop Turang? These are the FA available. Whos wort the pick up?
sure
@Grey: i know its hard to say right now, but how high do you see caminero going next year? top 75? higher?
Top 100ish maybe
12 team, 5×5 roto (saves only)
Currently scrounging for saves and it’s a tight race. Would you make any swaps?
Current RP: Faucher, Jorge Lopez, Uceta, Manuel Rodriguez, Doval
Available RP: Evan Phillips, Trevor Megill, Hudson, Banda, Chapman
Meh, Phillips over Doval
HEy to the Hey Hey HEY, Grey,
I am feeling smart for streaming both LL-Cool Ortiz and Zebby yesterday, but despite great starts, their teams F’ed it up and they didn’t get the win. I know Ws are the stupidest fantasy stat, but is there or should there be a glossary term for a brilliant stream that ends in a no decision?
Speaking of which, ya think I should go with Pepiot @SEA tonight, the robot mucho gusta (21.5).
Haha, there should be! Lurves
Start
Lurveya!
Lurves!
Points
Holliday has been struggling but this week doesn’t matter. Should I swap him now for
Norby
Perdomo
Keith
India
Gleyber
Castro
Should I wait until later in the week and see? If so who would be the top guy here?
Hold
Manaea @ Arizona tomorrow
ERod @ home vs Mets tomorrow
Arrighetti @ Philly Wednesday
I have Arrighetti and Erod but could grab Manaea. I would have to drop Arrighetti or ERod for Manaea.
Who would you start and would you drop either ERod or Arrighetti for Manaea?
Nope
Need to drop one of A. Abbott or N. Martinez in 10 team NL only roto. Who to drop, the injured Abbott (shoulder yikes!) or the short outing SP/RP swing?
Lose Abbott
For purposes of trade offer, can you rank the following (5×5 league)?
NoJo
Soler
JoshJung
Arozarena
Randy, NoJo, Soler, none of these
@Grey: weekly roto. need to start one of the following at dh. who do you like?
arozarena – 3 vs tb, 3 @ laa
freeman – 3 vs bal, 3 @ ari
stanton – 3 @ was, 3 vs stl
e suarez – 3 vs nym, 3 vs lad
tovar – 4 vs mia, 3 vs bal
hard to pass on 7 games at coors, but tovar has been pretty miserable in august.
thanks!
Freeman
thanks….any concern about the finger injury sapping any power?
A little bit, can’t see sitting Freeman tho
Thanks for that reminder. Would you start any of the above guys over Friedl who has 7 home games (3 vs oak, 4 vs mil)?
Not over Friedl
Either on my team or available bats are:
Gleyber

Soler
TylerOneill
JoshJung
Friedl
Laureano
Loper
McCarthy
Arozarena
Need to use 6. Can you rank please?
Gracias.
Oneill, McCarthy, Friedl, Gleyber, Norby
Could you see adding Bowden over Eduardo Rodriguez, pepiot or Robbie ray depending on matchups and how they throw? Also I am assuming Ray comes back
This week doesn’t matter to me
Bowden over Ray for this week but not year
Please pick one
Erod home vs Mets
Pfadtt home vs Mets
C.Sanchez home vs Houston
Sanchez
Would you drop Lux for
Noelvi Marte starting to heat up
Parker Meadows
Parker
Sir Anthony or Justin Martinez
Martinez
Howdy Grey,
Couple of lineup questions for my H2H league:
1) Langford (6g), Lux (6g), or Friedl (7g, one is a DH) in OF? – looking for counting stats
2) QS League – Kershaw @ARI (SON says meh) or Ray vMIA but has the hammy issue?
3) QS League – Start any of these guys over Taj Bradley? :
Crochet w 2 ‘starts’
Bowden @BOS
Zebby vTOR?
1. TJ 2. Ray 3. Zebby
Gracias sir!
1 Follow up.. would you start Taj or Bowden over Ray?
Bowden
Awesome weekend recap Grey!
Need to sit 2 of the following this week. H2H 7×5 categories:
Merrill 7 games @STL, @TB
Jazz 6 games @WSH STL
CJ Abrams 6 games NYY, CHC
Jrod 6 games TB, @LAA
Jake MCCarthy 6 games NYM, LAD
Thanks,
LG
JRod, McCarthy
G
Dynasty question. Who would you rather have…. B Stott, G Lux, or M Vargas.
Currently have Vargas….Stott was just dropped; so I’d have to win the bid for him.
Thanks!
Stott
In a QS league would you drop Ray for either Wacha or Francis, or hold Ray?
Wacha
Good morning G -full dyno – need the W for best record and 1st rd bye… grabbed Noel yest to start over goldy. No brainer huh… but have Betts at 2b now and may need to swap w Air Yordan if still out so that leaves India Gorman or p/u Norby? Thoughts?
Been a good year and appreciate all you do!!! Cheers and thank you fine sir!
Norby — No problem
Cool. Grabbed him but may have to wait to see if YA plays… take care!
No problem
Man I do not like these shortstop replacements for Xavier. Your call from these?
Swanson
Edman
Clement
Caballero
Arcia
Dejong
Clement
Grey, 10T 5×5 Category OBP Keeper league
Currently in 4th place and able to make playoffs.
Would you swap any of:
B. Lowe
A. Burleson
T. Friedl
K. Carpenter
Z. Neto
For any of:
E. Suarez
M. Toglia
C. Norby
C. Mullins
No specific needs. Thank you!
Carp, Lowe, Burleson for Eugenio, Toglia, Norby
If I added Big Xmas to that list would you drop Ray for him or any of the other players I listed
Robbie Ray for XMas? Is apples/oranges
Copy that, should have explained a little better. I have a plethora of SP’s so I didn’t know if Big Xmas was worth dropping a pitcher and adding an extra batter
I don’t know kinda depends if you need an extra power bat
Hey Grey, Hey,
In a non-keeper, standard cat league, would you drop Holliday for Norby or Keith? Thanks!
No
Thanks, now I REALLY want a snack cake…
Pouring one out for my RazzSlam squad, which got eliminated — top 18 moved on and was in 19th. Oof. But pretty happy with it, given that I took both Bichette and Goldy with important early picks. That’s why I’m not a ‘pert…
Good luck to everybody still in it! And thanks again for organizing.
Damn, you did solid tho! I got knocked out too
Kerry Carpenter, J. Noel, J. Cabellero? OPS league
Noel
Drop M. Gore for him? Next start for Gore vs NYY
Sure
12 team, 5×5 roto. 1250 Max IP. 205 Innings Remaining (+36.2).
Lots of streamers available so I don’t need to push anything. ERA and WHIP categories are tight.
You trust Nestor @ Was enough to start him here? ($22.2)
Yes
Ray (Mia) but hurt but could still start, Lodolo (@Oak, Mil), Herz (Chi), Diaz (@Chw, @Arz), Fedde (@Ny), Gore (Ny), Kimbrel (@Lad, @Col), D Williams (Sf, @Cin), S Baez (Sd) sick yesterday.
I need 5 P of the above and am thinking Ray, Lodolo (yikes!), Herz, Diaz, and Fedde. Which 5 would you choose based on the above?
Noel (Kc, Pitt), Langford (@Chw, Oak), Julio Rod (TB, @LAA), McCarthy (Lad, NYM), J Wood (Ny, Chi).
I need 2 OF from above and am thinking Noel and Wood. Jrod has heated up some but still not his old self and Langford has nice match ups but not performing that well. Which 2 would you choose?
Thanks
So you don’t need closers? That 5 is fine then
McCarthy, Wood
Looking at your June 26 lineup, you have Horwitz (0 for 1 so far) and the Astro Loperfido (0 for 3 with 1 Run). See if they give you anything today.
Is that how it works?
Yes. If they are in your June 26 starting lineup, you count whatever they do today in the suspended game.
Ah, nice!
But Loperido didn’t play in that game. 0-3. The game only went 1.1 innings. In fantrax you will get June and today stat for that game.
Gotcha
That is true. But you have already been credited with his Houston 0 for 3. If he plays in the suspended game, you will get those stats.
I’m officially confused! Haha — kidding, I gotcha
A good Monday to you, Grey. In a redraft, would you drop Langford or Abreu for Crews? Sort of similar profiles on all. Thank you.
Thanks! Abreu
Great column. As usual. But I know it takes work to do each one, thank you!
Which 2 should start this week
Gausman @ Twins
Arrigheti @ Phillies
Kikuchi v KC
Lopez @ Phillies
Kikuchi, Gaus
Would you drop Robbie Ray or Stone for Jared Jones?
Crochet has also been dropped in my league due to the winding down his innings. Add him for Ray or Stone or are the limited innings not worth it?
Ray — forget Crochet
2 catcher league, and one of mine is Joey Bart; Adrian del Castillo is on waiver list. Weekly waivers process Sat PM.
(1) Is his playing time relatively assured or is Moreno coming back and taking some/most away?
(2) I have $2 FAAB left. Drop Bart & bid $1 for ADC? Or just keep Bart in the Catcher slot.
1. he will lose PT 2. hold
MJ Melendez and Ivan Hernandez are also available. Is either worth $1 in my situation?
No
Alec Burleson os Tristan Casas. It’s driving me nuts that Casas is on my WW but I’ve got Burleson and Adames blocking the move.
Casas
Norby or India at 2B this week standard roto. Norby 4 at Colo and 3 at SF. India 3 vs Oak and 3 vs Mil
Also start Houck at Detroit or Peterson at CHW
Norby
Peterson
Two quick questions
1. Qs format kikuchi or francis? Kikuchi has been good for Hou but seems to get pulled third time through the order. I think he has 4 straight 5.2 outings.
2. Zebby Matthews over bradley or hold? Thanks
Kikuchi
Yes, Zebby
Thanks.
One more league. Zebby or francis
For this week? Zebby…overall, Bowden, but we’ll see @BOS
Thanks. Yeah not crazy about the next 2 for him. Looks like Philly after Bos, but it gets better after that.
No problem
The Robot has had Kirk ranked high twice in the last 10 days. He homered in both of them.
Nice!
Looks like Edwards is heading for the DL. Who’s a good replacement,
Torres, Clement, Keith, Norby or Rodgers
Gleyber
Good morning, Grey,
I have three adds left to make before playoff rosters lock at the start of today’s first game.
I am considering the following moves, please let me know your thoughts:
1) Add either Noel / Clement / or Toglia and drop a slumping Burleson, with the new add to start as my CI through the rest of the season. My only hesitation here on Burleson is that he looks like he’s playing everyday again with the roster moves the Cards made.
2) Add Seranthony to drop Alexis Diaz.
3) Add either (or both if I don’t make a move above) between Ryne Nelson and David Peterson to drop either Kutter or Houck. Both Nelson and Peterson have better 2 starts than the Red Sox pitchers next week when I need them – both Houck and Kutter scheduled to face BAL and the Yankees.
Thanks again for helping to get me into a first round bye and regular season leader!
Scratch that. Nelson got scooped. Severino is an option with a 2 step against Boston and then the Reds. Cody Bradford only a single start but faces the Angels. Bido who has strung together some good starts gets a Seattle and Detroit 2 step next week. Any of these top Houck/Kutter?
Thanks again!
Noel, 2. Yes 3. Peterson over Kutter
Good Morning Grey
Lux seems to be cooling off over last 7 games
Would you drop him for Norby
Yes
Add Zebby Matthews or Seranthony to replace Ray? Or replace Lugo?
Nimmo or Crews to activate Casas or drop Casas?
Thanks!
Zebby over Ray — Lose Nimmo

Need to start 1 this week
Pfaadt home vs NYM
Ray (hammy) vs Mia
T Bradley vs SD
thank you!
Pfaadt
20 team H2H start, 5×5. Need to start two of the pitchers below, who you got. Wins are probably most important. I am leaning Gore and and Assad at moment but the Gore start scares me
Logan Allen (CLE) vs KC
M. Gore vs NYY
D. Kremer @COL
T. Walker vs HOU
Assad vs WSH
J. Cueto @DET
Assad, then flip a coin, Walker
LOL: ‘How does the saying go, something old, something new, something something I’m screwed?’ Perfect….
Hehe
Morning!
Norby or Paredes?
J. Noel over both of the players above?
Making a desperate push to make the playoffs this week
Norby
Hey Grey. In a 14 team h2h league, with the playoffs starting next week, which SP do you like more to help with ratios—Zebby or Robbie Ray?
Zebby
thanks!
No problem
