Mad Libs’ing Brewers starters into the lede. (Brewers pitcher) is (adjective) because the Brewers’ (noun) who (verb) (noun) and (verb) (noun) who can’t be (verb)! Kyle Harrison–No, not today. Brandon Woodruff–Haha, that was yesterday! Brandon Sproat? Yep! Here we go! Mad Libs commence! Brandon Sproat is awesome because the Brewers’ coaches turn pitching mounds into sand castles and turns those into aces who can’t be stopped. Yesterday, Brandon Sproat went 6 IP, 0 ER, 1 hit, zero walks, 10 Ks, ERA at 5.43. Up until yesterday, I can tell you off top of my head, he had a .000 or under batting average against in the first four innings and a .750+ BAA for the fifth inning on. You know things are crazy when I begging for an Opener. Sproat was an preseason favorite because he can be good and we know the Brewers can turn pitchers into God. He’s pitching much better than his ERA and his 9.4 K/9, 4.1 BB/9 is just begging for his command to come down so he can turn into the newest Brewers ace. I believe, but I’d only monocle for now in shallower leagues. By the way, another Mad Libs you can do is Dubrovnik or Split would’ve worked too in the title. Croatia filled with real ‘can’t do’ metropolises. Anyway, here’s what else I saw yesterday in fantasy baseball:
Luis Rengifo – Released by the Brewers. Don’t worry, RenHeads. He’ll get at least a look by the Rockies, then go back to the Angels.
Nick Lodolo – 4 IP, 0 ER, ERA at 5.59, and easily his best start, but left after taking a 107 MPH comebacker off his hand, because nice things were not meant for us.
Elly De La Cruz – 0-for-3 as he was activated from the IL. Kevin from ESPN’s “Get Him In Your Lineup” Department said, “You like these shoes? They’re not mine. I went bowling the other day and forget to give them back.”
Kodai Senga – 3 2/3 IP, 7 ER, ERA at 10.08. Mets are a wild organization. They know Senga is broken and they’re like, “I know how to make him better, by starting him repeatedly!”
Juan Soto – Left the game with supposed back spasms. Meh, when has anything ever turned out worse than believed with the Mets?
Francisco Alvarez – 2-for-4, 3 RBIs and his 6th homer, hitting .257. Member when we thought he’d be good, seemingly forgetting he was on the Mets?
Pete Crow-Armstrong – 1-for-3, 3 RBIs and his 17th homer, hitting .287. PCA broke out this month. Yes, he was great last year, but struggled last 2nd half and to start this year. Without this month, he was iffy at best. This month solidified him.
Edward Cabrera – 5 IP, 2 ER, 7 baserunners (4 BBs), 4 Ks, ERA at 5.10. Almost as broken as Senga and EdCab hit the IL after the game. Yes, still less borked than Senga.
Justin Steele – Cubs said he won’t start games this season. Man of Steele’s kryptonite is pitching, apparently.
Dansby Swanson – 2-for-3, 4 RBIs and his 9th homer, hitting .189. Unless a guy has top 25 ability (think Machado), I don’t think you need to hold a hitter who has less than 15+ homers or steals and a sub-.200 average as far along as the middle of the season (where we be at).
Mick Abel – His MRI on Monday revealed no structural damage. What a relief, his rehab that’s dragged on for six weeks led to an MRI on his elbow that showed he’s not completely broken. Great.
Victor Caratini – 1-for-4 and his 6th homer. Because I’m working on the Buy column for the Patreon, I know Caratini has been hot for the last week.
Brooks Lee – 1-for-4 and his 13th homer, hitting .238. Refuse to think about how Brooks Lee has twice as many homers as Tatis and Vlad Jr. combined. Not thinking about it!
Justin Wrobleski – 7 IP, 2 ER, 7 baserunners, 3 Ks, ERA at 2.71. Eric Lauer has something like a 2.50 ERA with the Dodgers; Wrobleski is a Cy Young guy. Nope! Nothing fishy there! “We consider this matter closed!” That’s Manfred investigating anything with the Dodgers.
Lucas Giolito – Hit the IL with elbow inflammation. It’s night, my liege, take a sleep.
Fernando Tatis Jr. – 2-for-6, 2 runs, 2 RBIs and his 3rd homer. Same number of homers as Colt Keith hit in one game! We’re cooking now!
Jung Hoo Lee – 2-for-3 and a slam (5) and legs (5), hitting .331. Giants have two guys competing for the NL batting title, and four over-performing hitters, and they’re still a mess of a team. Well played, Tonnato Vitello.
Robbie Ray – 8 IP, 0 ER, 6 baserunners, 6 Ks, ERA at 3.70. Nothing in his underlying numbers suggest he’s performing better than his ERA. Actually, much worse. Yes, he’s merely lucky to be bad and not awful.
Sonny Gray – 7 IP, 1 ER, 9 baserunners, 11 Ks, ERA at 2.95. Gray’s solid (thx) but this was a showcase put on by the Dodgers to see if they want to trade for him.
Wilyer Abreu -2-for-4, 2 RBIs and his a slam (10) and legs (6), hitting .279. Red Sox hitting: Actually not bad in Coors.
Ezequiel Tovar – 1-for-4 and his 6th homer, hitting .212. He’s one of the worst hitters in baseball this year, even with Coors. There’s likely a term paper to be done for Fantasy Baseball College of Charleston on why Tovar became so terrible.
Ryan Johnson – 6 IP, 0 ER, 1 hit, 1 walk, 8 Ks, ERA at 8.84. He saw his name in the box score as R. Johnson and said to himself, “I’m ready to kill pigeons and take names and I don’t see any pigeons.”
Shane Baz – 5 IP, 5 ER, ERA at 4.31. Bazung. (It’s past tense, as in he’s past time, but not as in the national pastime.)
Eduardo Rodriguez – 6 2/3 IP, 0 ER, 6 baserunners, 5 Ks, ERA at 2.27. Held tightly to schmohawks like Jack Leiter and EdCab when I should’ve held onto EdRod and 38 Special’d EdCab and others by holding on loosely.
Kyle Leahy – 6 2/3 IP, 0 ER, 5 baserunners, 3 Ks, ERA at 4.24. Been starting Leahy weekly in a deep league and happy about it, but I wouldn’t even Streamonator him in a shallow league.
Jesus Luzardo – 6 2/3 IP, 5 ER, 9 baserunners, 13 Ks, ERA at 4.39. I don’t know this for a fact, but I do believe Luzardo is the active leader of 6+ inning starts of five or more runs.
Bryson Stott – 3-for-4, 4 runs, 3 RBIs and a slam (7) and legs (15), hitting .241. Brad Lord was down to the final out to close it out for the Nats, but then out of nowhere, the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away a victory, as he returned to Brad My Lord he sucks (2/3 IP, 6 ER, ERA at 3.31)
Brandon Marsh – 3-for-6, 2 runs, 2 RBIs and his 11th homer, hitting .315. Brandon Marsh is in the lead for a few things. 1) I can’t believe how nasty he must smell with that beard. It’s the summer, and it’s humid, does he bathe? Does he smell like rotten chicken? Why would he do that to himself and others? His name is Marsh, and he looks like he has swamp ass. 2) He’s higher on the Player Rater than I ever imagined he’d be. 3) There’s no 3.
Luis Garcia Jr. – 1-for-1, 2 runs and his 12th homer, and 2nd homer in two games, and yesterday’s was a pinch-hit homer because the Nats refuse to play him every day. It’s almost like if he did worse vs. righties, he’d play more vs. lefties. He’s excels too much!
Shane Bieber – 3 2/3 IP, 4 ER, 9 hits, zero walks, 2 Ks as he was activated from the IL. It’s been a rollercoaster of injuries for Bieber in the past two years, if a rollercoaster only went down then down further. Been so long, I forgot all he’d been through, so I went and refreshed my cocktail of insight and read up on Bieber’s last two years. He had Tommy John surgery, that he returned from last August. Pitched well in his return, but then went into the offseason with forearm soreness, which is an awful sign, then, while being brought along slowly in the spring, he had elbow soreness. It’s a lot. His minor league numbers from this year are bad (7.4 K/9, 2.7 BB/9), but he might not have been throwing at 100% to save himself. All of this is to say I have no idea what to expect, but recent results have been iffy at best.
Anthony Santander – Could resume baseball activities soon. That includes scratching one’s junk and spitting.
Daulton Varsho – 3-for-6, 2 runs, 2 RBIs and his 7th homer, hitting .262. He’s Mr. Prorater’s favorite player. Won’t play a full season, but if you prorate his numbers out, they look fine.
Yainer Diaz – 2-for-4 and his 3rd homer. There’s a name I have not thought about for a while. Three homers? A’la Robin Williams in Jumanji, “What month is it?”
Cam Smith – 2-for-5, 2 RBIs and his 8th homer. Jordan Walker and Cam Smith were locked together as rookies, and their struggles paralleled each other, and this year Jordan Walker was like, “Peace, I’m outta here!”
Randy Arozarena – 0-for-4, 3 Ks, as he was activated from the IL. Kevin from ESPN’s “Get Him In Your Lineup” Department said, “I can watch your child for a few minutes. Does he like whisky?”
George Kirby – 6 IP, 1 ER, 10 baserunners, 5 Ks, ERA at 3.94. So, I think I have a better idea of what the M’s mean by piggybacking a starter. This week they’re piggybacking Gilbert and Hancock. They will piggyback a starter once a week, but not every starter every start.
Cal Raleigh – 1-for-4 and his 8th homer. He’s hitting .164. Ass, indeed.
Cole Young – 1-for-3, 2 RBIs and his 7th homer, 2nd homer in a week. Borderline schmotato, who I still like a bit more than it’s likely warranted.
Kahlil Watson – 2-for-4 and his 1st homer. Reminds me of Khalil Greene, one of the ugliest players ever. “Hold my mirror.” That’s Devin Mesoraco. Watson had a 12/15/.255 Triple-A in 56 games, but a 28 K%, which means he won’t make enough contact for us, outside of AL-Only. But, hey, he’s not ugly!
Parker Messick – 7 2/3 IP, 2 ER, 4 baserunners, 10 Ks, ERA at 2.67. Guy’s matchups-proof as a rookie. C’mon, that’s butter. You have to admit butter when you see it. He’s butter! Not butter? How dare you not recognize butter.
Miguel Vargas – 1-for-4 and his 17th homer, hitting .237. As the White Sox take sole possession of the AL Central’s lead, knocking out the Guards for the first time in Jose Ramirez’s career. No, that might not be right. But I’m going on vibes. You can’t argue with vibes.
Sean Burke – 6 1/3 IP, 1 ER, 7 baserunners, 6 Ks, ERA at 3.71. He sounds like a pocketbook designer, doesn’t he? “I got a new Sean Burke, do you like it?” That’s Cougs after spending $300. Streamonator hates his next one, but I’d buy it for a dollar, not for $300.
Owen Caissie – 1-for-4, 3 RBIs and his 9th homer, and 3rd homer in a week. Grabbed him as a batty call yesterday, so boo-ya to me. I grabbed him because he’s flippin’ hot, ain’t that deep.
Joe Mack – 2-for-4, 2 RBIs and his 4th homer. Kinda love the Marlins home run celebration in the dugout after each player returns. I didn’t notice it until Heriberto Hernandez (2-for-3, 2 runs) hit his 8th homer, 2nd homer in three games. Marlins players get back to the dugout and drink milk like in the Indy 500, only it’s out of a milk carton that has a missing photo of Agustin Ramirez.
Sandy Alcantara – 6 2/3 IP, 1 ER, 8 baserunners, 4 Ks, ERA at 4.01. Going by current trends, Sandy’s going to be awful in July. Guy’s doing Monthlyhagenmetrics over here.
Jack Leiter – Had ankle surgery. He said the problem appeared while he was doing a doody on the mound.
Joc Pederson – 3-for-5 and his 10th homer, hitting .242. His 2025 was one of the weirdest years in retrospect (9 HRs, .181). Seemed completely done, but clearly is not.
Brandon Nimmo – 2-for-5, 2 RBIs and his 8th homer. Nimmo found one!
Shane McClanahan – 6 IP, 2 ER, 7 baserunners, 4 Ks, ERA at 3.30, but four more unearned runs for the box scare! You know how bad you must be struggling to even give up four unearned runs to the Royals right now? They have one hitter in their lineup.
Junior Caminero – 3-for-5, 3 RBIs and his 16th homer, hitting .281. Wonder if he ever considered going by Jr. Caminero. That would be rad.
Maikel Garcia – Hit the IL with a hand muscle strain. One final indignation, he waits until after your weekly lineups lock. Without Witt, the Royals’ lineup looks a gondolier in Venice — one Italian in the middle trying to keep things afloat amongst garbage.
Cole Ragans – Headed for elbow surgery. Prolly needed it for the last 18 months. Teams should be fined for malpractice for how long they delay inevitable surgeries. Fine everyone! Make them pay! Send me the fine money to hold in escrow. I will watch it.
Nick Loftin – 4-for-5, 4 runs, 2 RBIs and his 3rd homer, 2nd homer in three games. Hot schmotato alert!
Jac Caglianone – 3-for-5, 3 runs, 3 RBIs and his 13th and 14th homer. Dude’s on such an insane heater. Now nine homers this month. Should’ve mentioned this the other day, Caglianone is having a Star Mitzvah this season. Don’t need a deejay, LeMahieu will be spinning and Caglianone will be the world’s 2nd Italian Jew — a pizza bagel. After yours truly, of course.
Casey Mize – 5 2/3 IP, 4 ER, 9 baserunners, 6 Ks, ERA at 2.95. Welp, how long do we have to wait to learn he’s still injured? Today? Tomorrow? After his next start?
Jazz Chisholm Jr. – 2-for-4, 2 runs, 2 RBIs and his 12th homer. Jazz got in trouble yesterday when his manager, Boone, found out he was sucking on a lollipop in Monday’s game. Don’t ask exactly how Boone missed that Jazz was sucking on said lollipop during the game that Boone was supposed to be watching. Man, if I were Boone, I would’ve been like, “Yeah, of course I saw it. I love lollies. I’m basically the Tootsie Owl up in this beeyatch!” How do you admit to not looking at field for an entire lolli-sucking? Boone then said he was not happy when he heard about the lollipop. Yeah, only tobacco in his players’ cheeks. No sugary treats! Boone is not watching the games, because he’s too busy watching dentist Tiktoks about cavities.
Need pitching and am ok with steals. Was just offered Woodruff for my Stott. Is it worth the risk on Woodruffs health. Just checked Woo”s record. 5-0 at home and 1-6 on the road. I think I’ll have to stream him. LOL.
Next year im exclusively drafting Brewers pitchers…
Brewers are the new Astros.
I am sure glad I didn’t drop Dansby. What a day!
Hey Grey,
Is it worth it to drop Rushing for Alvarez? He seems to be en fuego and Rushing has been very meh lately
I hope everybody cut Dansby Swanson when they read this article. Unforch, I could not cut him in time for today’s performance.
Maybe there’s a new vocab word needed for a guy who has a 2HR, 9RBI performance hours after being a recommended drop.
Make it 11 RBIs and add a SB.
!!!!
Charlie Browned – When you drop a player has a career day in his next game.
I like it!
It would appear Bryan Woo decided to be awful again.
Oof
If it wasn’t before, is it time for Ed-Cab to go? Just clogging a roster spot at this stage – already have Bubic and Maikel on the IL…
Also – is Soroka worth a stash?
QS 12er…
Lose EdCab — yes on Soroka
12 team h2h dynasty. I’m about out FA cash, $8 left, $200 start of season, $2 min bids.
Was offered $37 for my Albies. I’ve got bazanna and tatis 2b eligible.
Take the deal?
Sounds decent and stop spending crazy smiley emoji
drop two. antonacci, ohearn, adell, luis garcia jr, willi castro

i was offered rooker for my yesavage, is it worth trading for rooker?
Rooker is shut down
Hey Grey,
Would you go Karros, Blaze Alexander, Mead or Royce at 3B? Waiting for Mune to come back…
Blaze
Thanks
No problem
Would you buy Boyd cheap if you could in a 12 team mixed, or skeptical he’ll have value?
Do you think Seiya is a top 100-110ish guy next year? Any higher?
Thanks!
Sure
Yes, not higher
Thanks!
No problem
Different note, do you think River Ryan is worth stashing for this year? Or next year? Top 25 SP potential?
Yes this year
Thanks again!
No problem
12 team, 8 keepers. Except Ward, everyone is a minimum price keeper.
(1) Top-2. Sprout, Taylor (Balt), or Snell.
I currently (!) have an available IL slot if he returns shortly after All-Star.
(2) Ward (Balt), Butler, or Cowser?
I don’t think Taylor exists
Wait is #1 Ward? I don’t see what he has to do with SPs…
1. Ward…Sproat 2. Ward
I’m so confused with that family. TREVOR Rogers
1. Rogers, Sproat 2. Ward

Baldwin C
Busch 1B
Albies 2B
Okamato 3B
Abrams SS
Alvarez OF
Soderstom OF
Bauers OF
Butler OF (just dropped for Sproat so I need an OF for sure)
J Bell UTIL
Ramirez IL
Rooker (yuch) IL
Some players available:
Stowers (I am trying to add), Nimmo, Rumfield, Horwitz, Jung, Steer, Paredes (I would like to add)
Any suggestions would be most welcome Grey? Thanks.
Stowers
Would you add over someone on my team currently? Maybe I could drop Jared Jones or Melton or even Hancock if he is not going to start again?
Over Butler
a player in my league has been down on kyle tucker. would you offer any of trea turner, sal stewart, or jj wetherholt for him?
Trea
Last one for the day! Ben Brown question and staff below. Context: 12 team H2H, currently tied for last playoff spot but a long way to go.
WW: Bibee, Mize, Pallante, Soroka, Eury
Staff: Wheeler, Cease, J Ryan, Meyer, Eovaldi, Melton, B Brown
IL Crochet
1. Is Brown worth holding for at least two weeks or should I swap out?
2. I put Soroka in here cuz he may be worth holding.
1. Lose 2. is there a question
Another win for Wrobleski. Shocking haha. If the Dodgers are cheating, will they do me a favor and let Sheehan in on the scheme?
That would be nice
Nico Hoerner for Mookie Betts keeper league trade – one more for you to look for for me sir – thanks
Betts
Nasim Nunez is quickly becoming my favorite SAGNOF of all time. Thanks again for putting him on the radar preseason, he’s my MI everywhere…
Same! I like me some Nasim
woo hoo – thanks also Mr Grey
No problem
Nico Hoerner in keeper league for Samad Taylor – hold or do it – thank you Mr Grey
I’d hold Nico
12 team h2h dynasty league. Yordan owner asking to trade formy Cruz/Langford/G.Wiilliams. Feels like alot?
Langford/Cruz initially, then added Gavin.
I’ve got Neto at SS, Arozarena, Walker, Tatis, Ward, Benge in OF…
Seems like a lot
Thank you for reminding me of Mesoraco and his Uncle Fester-ass face.
HAHA
Grey, I’ve got an IL crunch and wanted your take. Who is my drop: Edwin Diaz, Ben Brown or Logan Henderson? Thank you!
Logan
@Grey: weekly roto redraft. How would you rank these catchers? Teel, Montero and Alvarez? Thanks!
That rank
Drop Bieber for Jax start today?
Sure
Awesome write up Grey! That was one really long #1 for Brad Marsh. I thought we were on like #11 or #12 when we got to “swamp ass” – HA!
How awesome is it that I benched Witt because he was DTD with a knee and I deftly slipped Garcia into SS only to have him hit the IL! Dah!
So I know you are a big Busch fan (I know, who isn’t), but are you at least considering moving Secy of Defense Rumfield in for him? Hey, Busch and Rumfield. I had no idea I was making that connection. Busch kinda sucks, no. I mean 42 RBIs is ok, but his Avg and OPS are rather weak.
Yahoo 10 Team H2H Points League. I also have him in our 12 Teamer as well, but I think he needs to remain there.
Thanks Grey.
haha, well played with Maikel
Think it’s fine to move on from Busch by now in a 10 teamer…Rumfield is fine, but I can’t believe there’s no one better in a 10 teamer
Excellent point. Well, I have Okamato, Soderstrom-boli, Bauers and Bell in various roster spots (mainly OF), so I have plenty of 1Bs along with Busch, so I could swap one of them in and then find an OF/UTIL, but that is also a tough ask. I will look again to see if there are better options.
Thanks Grey.
As Busch hits a HR – HA! Maybe he can stay?
Ha
No problem
Aaaand the one consistently good starter for my favorite team just hit the IL. (Ben Brown) *sigh* do you like Melton or Rogers more ROS?
Tough call….I guess Rogers
Apparently Leiter’s been playing with that ankle injury all season. Not good! I need relief pitcher help in a dynasty league. would you move Andrew Fischer for Sabrowski and Kerkering?
You’re moving a top prospect for a middle reliever?
2 relievers. need holds
Sabrowski
Drop Jared Jones and pick up Sproat?
Sure
Who are the bottom two (in order from worst to second worst) from each of the following groups:
1) RP – Elvis A, Lange, Y Gomez
2) SP – Lodolo, Hancock, Ray, Weathers
3) Hitter – Varsho, Stowers, Antonzcci, Busch, Carrigg, Yelich
Lastly… Pick up Sproat for all the guys listed above, or just some of them?
Elvis, Gomez 2. Lodolo, Ray 3. Sam A., Varsho
I know, not entirely apples-to-apples, but which of these guys (Elvis, Gomez 2. Lodolo, Ray 3. Sam A., Varsho) do you drop for Sproat?
Elvis
Funny stuff today. So I’m thinking of added Emanuel Clase to this dumpster fire, any chance he returns to baseball?
Are you just trying to make it blow up? Melt it to the ground?
Nope
Hey Grey,
Please rank for ROS: Sproat, Burke, Bieber, Ray, Beuhler.
Would you drop Bieber and/or Cameron for either/both of your top 2 above?
Thanks!
Burke, Ray, Sproat
Sure, both
12 team league…is it crazy to consider dropping mikael garcia? Love the player but production down this year, worried this hand/wrist issue lingers, and there are decent FA (Lee, Schmidt) available. I have a DL crunch which is why it’s a question. Thanks!
Not crazy
10 team 5×5 OBP. Drop Hancock for Sproat or Lauer?
Nah
Bleday or Samad?
Bleday or Springer?
Bleday or Caballero?
Thank you
Bleday
Thanks! He’s been bad last month or so but is still walking a decent amount. Hopefully just some bad luck
Yup
in a salary cap keeper league where $5 is added every year would you rather have Turang $15 & Hunter Greene $23 or Paul Skenes $42
Turang
would you do the turang $15 straight up for skenes $42?
Turang side
team countered my Schlitter,Hamilton, Carrigg offer with Brian Reynolds, Will Warren, Ernie Clement Schlitter would be kept next year at 9$ in a 275$ standard 20 team league would you still do it if necesary thx
Cam side, it is not close
Hi Grey,
looking to upgarde my 2b/3b.
Currently i have Stewart and Meidroth.
SHould i keep going with Meidroth, or drop and add:
Luis Garcia
Nick Gonzales
thanks!
h2h legaue with OBP
Luis over Chase
Mets probably traded the wrong pitcher in the Freddy trade. Sproat throws 98 and has a normal bag of pitches. Tong has 2 pitches and had to change his windup. Now he can’t get AAA hitters out. David Stearns sure seems like he was a product of the Brewer machine, not the other way around.
Stearns is not impressing!
Trade Jordan Walker, Joshua Baez, and a 12th rd pick for Ohtani (SP) and 18th rd pick.
Keeper league. 12 team H2H 7×7.
No
thoughts on nick gonz? can’t put my finger on him, but hes interesting a little. can’t decide if hes worth targeting.
I like him, but low ceiling
J naylor or nick?
Naylor
is it close at all? naylor is $31 and nick is $4 in a dynasty league. is offered to me
No
Dr. Grey, Soto is out of the first game of the double dip and is day to day. I’m leaning to grabbing a replacement for the day in case he doesn’t play the 2nd game. Thoughts?
Yes, grab a replacement
Have you watched Ryan Johnson pitch? His delivery is classic. It’s like the ball is scorching hot and his only objective is to get it out of his hand as fast as possible.
Yeah, and his face is saying the same, like WHY SO HOT
Have no space with eury coming back from IL. 12-team H2H Who would you recommend dropping;
Early
Jared jones
Gore
Kilian (RP)
Also have
Tolle
Imanaga
Messick
Eovaldi
Schlittler
Or Perez himself
Kilian
Better play for sagnof without giving zero in other cats ?
Bolte(.294/3sb last 7gm)
C.Pratt(.350/4sb last 7gm)
C.Simpson(.250/3sb last 7gm)
Chandler
12T redraft, 6 x 6 with OBP and SLG instead of AVG, and W+QS’s and K/9 added. Start four outfielders, one utility, and one corner infielder for record. Just got a trade offer that I’m thinking I have to smash accept.
Give: J Caglianone and Bryce Miller
Get: Ben Rice
Currently I’m starting Harper, Caglianone, and Michael Busch and my OF’s are Arozarena, Kyle Tucker, Colton Cowser, Don Canzone and Mickey Moniak with Trent Grisham and Rooker (IL)
Also my SPs are decent, Zach Wheeler, Nolan Mclean, Will Warren, Framber Valdez, Griffin Jax, Connelly Early, Matt Boyd, Logan Henderson and Blake Snell IL’d
You’re trading away the hottest bat in baseball and your 2nd best pitcher to get a guy who has tailed off this month
Fair enough, just didn’t think to expect so much out of a guy I picked up a few weeks ago
You did well
ROS SP in deep NL only roto:
M.Perez, Singer, Gasser.
Thanks!
Perez
The milk carton with Agustin’s photo absolutely killed me. Grey Albright does a body good!
Start McLean at home vs the Cubbies today? I’ve been so nervous about him lately that I benched his last good start. I need a little nudge. Thank you, sir!
Haha — think you have to start McLean everywhere
Looking at some dynasty trades in standard roto – Skenes or Miz? And how close?
Miz, it’s a toss up
In watching Skenes this year, I feel like Skenes is going 85% and trying to pitch to contact a bit. He’s working games like old guy style holding back velo for big moments. Emphasizing location. Trying to be efficient.
Feel like if I had to pick, I’d gamble on Skenes staying healthy.
This is what I’ve been saying!
they say great minds think alike, but apparently mid minds do as well
HAHA
Hondo and Mike Epstein. Just sayin’.
Haha
My escape from Jersey led me there. I weighed 57 pounds and used a 35 ounce bat because that’s what Frank used. The bat was bigger than me.
HAHA
need to franchise on player for next year and unbelievably it’s not Schitter would you do the following trade
Schlitter, Carrigg, David Hamilton for PCA, Ernie Clent, Will Warren
thx for your help
Sure
Hi Grey,
1. Would you start or sit Weathers at Detroit?
2. How confident are you in starting Noah Cameron at TB?
Thanks so much for all your assistance!
Moniak back off IL, are any of Bolte, Mead, Vaughn, Brooks Lee, or Adames a drop for him?
Bolte or Vaughn…Prolly drop Vaughn since Bolte can at least start at home
Adell/Detmers or Tolle/Jax ?
Adell
would you trade turang for skenes or Chris Sanchez?
Sure
Drop Logan Henderson for Sproat? Keeper League
Yes
Ya think John Schneider will now have Bieber throw leftie?
Maybe!
Points league. 6 pts for wins, -3 for losses, 3 pts for QS, 1 pts for Ks, 4 pts for saves and -2 pts for Blown saves
Kirby and lambert or Luzardo and Munoz
Luzardo
If luzardo was subbed out for messick would you take kirby side or messick side? Thanks grey!
Munoz and Messick are better than Kirby and Lambert is useless
Im starting to really dig the Mon-Thu and Fri-Sun player rater. Loves Cody Clemens this weekend vs the dreck of RH Rockies pitchers. And dumping Eugenio. he’s a OBP league killer. 3-4 day streaming. Im in
Yeah
For NFBC, it’s the best way to go
Morning, Grey. Is there an obvious choice out of this group for RF for the ROS, Daylen Lile, Matt Shaw, Henry Bolte, Lawrence Butler?
Lile
wouldn’t say obvious tho
i dropped Lile. i can’t ever seem to play him when he hits, and when he doesn’t its like 1 for 18. So I did what Pitt did to PSH, I got rid of the problem.
Ok
I hear that. Lile is my starter and it is not obvious that he should be.
Yeah, I hear ya
McGonigile or Montgomery ?
Colson
It’s really amazing, I have Arreaz and Jung Hoo Lee in my regular lineup and I’m fifth in BA.
Are you last in power?
Middle everything. Pete, Elly, Caminero, Konnor, McG. Got crushed w Tucker. Vinnie, Rooker and Seager mucking it all up. Heading in right direction now w Goldy and JJ and Canzone swapped in.
The Brewers now have 9 entries on the 100 Best Fantasy Starts list. Johnson, whose previous 2 starts are around #2000, gave the Angels their 4th appearance:
01 Jacob Misiorowski Jun 12 vs PHI
12 Kyle Harrison Apr 26 vs PIT
15 Kyle Harrison May 20 @CHC
17 Brandon Sproat Jun 23 @CIN
21 Jose Soriano Apr 6 vs ATL
27 Jacob Misiorowski May 25 vs STL
33 Jacob Misiorowski May 31 @HOU
42 Ryan Johnson Jun 23 vs BAL
47 Jacob Misiorowski May 8 vs NYY
50 Jose Soriano Apr 12 @CIN
67 Jacob Misiorowski May 1 @WSH
72 Reid Detmers Apr 14 @NYY
95 Jacob Misiorowski May 19 @CHC
Crazy! Haha
On that Swanson tip, I cant seem to quit Geno but maybe its time to cut him? really thought that 2 homer game would get him going.
Thanks
Eugenio has huge upside if he gets going so I’d be hesitant about dropping him
I need to drop one more guy since Bieber and Eury are back off of the IL.. I was thinking of dropping Justin Crawford but it’s a dynasty league so I’m a little nervous about that move. I could drop an extra closer (Fuentes, Lange, Gomez, Klein, Varland and Fernando Cruz)
On, and do I start Eury first game
Back? Thanks.
Lose Klein
See no point in starting Eury his 1st game back
Mad Libs and .38 special, bravo sir!!
Thanks!
Greene or Bauers?
Greene
Good Morning Grey!
I have a problem, I like all of the pitchers I have on a team, but Kyle Harrison is on the wire.
Would you pick him up, and if so, who would you drop from this list?
Aroldis Chapman
David Bednar
Josh Hader
Paul Sewald
Riley O’Brien
Framber Valdez
Logan Gilbert
Nathan Eovaldi
Parker Messick
Ranger Suarez
Sonny Gray
Trey Yesavage
Thanks!
Mike.
Snag him up quick, drop Yesavage or Sewald.
Yesavage? No way snacks!
Agree with Snacks.
I would drop any dude not named Logan or Parker from that list.
Wait, correction, drop that boring named David guy so you can field an all Hardy Boys lineup of Logan, Kyle, Trey, Parker, Nathan, and Riley. All you need is a Biff!
Should;ve been rostered since April…lose Yesavage
Eovaldi (you’ll miss 2 starts before he’s IL rest of season)
Sproat pitched great his last 3 starts.
I know the previous one he imploded after 3rd inning, but if that start was indeed his hammy, technically he looked dominant ace like past three outings.
Really really dominant yesterday.
Yes
I think that half of Marsh’s homers have come on days that lefties started. Not necessarily half of his home runs off of lefties, but definitely on days they started. You can probably tell I was counting on platooning him again this year.
Yeah
For IP, Ks and ERA, 12 team
Drop IL-bound Cabrera?
and choose one
Andre Pallante
Brandon Young
Sean Burke
Brandon Sproat
Yes
Sproat
There’s a giant jug of Blow Pops sitting on the bench, next to the container of sunflower seeds and the big plastic tub of Double Bubble. All the other stuff you’re allowed to eat on the field! Why have it there if it is forbidden? Is it just there to tempt the players?
Ha, I don’t know
