Kade Anderson – No immediate plans to promote him. Sadly, I believe them. They have no reason to bring him up. They are one of the few teams with actual healthy starters. Too many of them, in fact!
Randy Arozarena – Hit the IL with a hamstring strain. Please let this open up a spot for Canzone, please please please please, it’s not going to, is it?
Cal Raleigh – 1-for-3, 2 RBIs as he was activated from the IL. Kevin from ESPN’s “Get Him In Your Lineup” Department said, “Corn, what is it good for, absolutely nothing! Huh! What’s that, it’s war? What’s a corn war?”
Ryan Helsley – Activated from the IL. Kevin from ESPN’s “Get Him In Your Lineup” Department said, “Mary, while you were in the bathroom, I taught your infant blackjack.”
Brandon Young – 6 IP, 3 ER, 8 baserunners, 2 Ks, ERA at 3.18. Someone mentioned he’s been great for Quality Starts, and that might be true (he has six), but he’s also pitching like a 4.50 ERA pitcher.
Hunter Brown – 5.2 IP, 1 ER, 6 baserunners, 7 Ks, ERA at 1.10 as he was activated from the IL. Kevin from ESPN’s “Get Him In Your Lineup” Department said, “I have an ice pack in my pants. It really helps with the heat.”
Framber Valdez – 6 IP, 0 ER, 9 baserunners, 6 Ks, ERA at 4.09. Him vs. Hunter Brown and them both pitching well? What is this some kind of dream from March? Should I ask someone to pinch me or just keep living it? Ya know what, I’m living this dream! And I don’t care if I’m in my underwear and in the car wash with my windows down for some reason. We’re living dreams, baby!
Tyler Phillips – 4 IP, 8 ER, 9 baserunners, 4 Ks, ERA at 3.10. So, you’re saying I should drop him? Cool, heard! Loud and clear. Like one of those planes that writes in the sky, and it writes, “Tyler Phillips hates your guts.”
Jesus Luzardo – 7 IP, 2 ER, 7 baserunners, 9 Ks, ERA at 4.20. This was the 2nd best start yesterday on the Streamonator.
Kyle Schwarber – 1-for-2, 2 runs and his 25th homer, hitting .249 as he played 1st base for the first time since 2021. Supposedly, he was there because Trea Turner has a wrist injury, which I don’t understand. Did Trea used to help Bryce Harper put on his 1st baseman’s glove?
Alec Bohm – 2-for-4, 2 runs, 3 RBIs and his 9th homer, hitting .223. Last year Tyler Phillips and Bohm had words. This year, Bohm had 447 feet for him.
Brandon Marsh – 1-for-3, 2 runs, 2 RBIs and a slam (9) and legs (7), hitting .324. Having one of the sneakiest good seasons. Can’t harsh the Marsh!
Davis Schneider – 2-for-4, 2 RBIs and his 3rd homer, hitting .163 and 2nd homer in two games. He’s a hot schmotato and being powered by a mustache. You can’t stop that combo.
Andres Gimenez – 2-for-4, 2 runs and his 7th homer, hitting .227. What is it if there’s more than one Andres in a room? “Are the Andreses in there?” “Andreii?” “The ‘dresses?”
Dylan Cease – 5 IP, 0 ER, 8 baserunners, 7 Ks, ERA at 2.71 in 108 pitches. Can we talk about how Cease is pitching so much better than I expected? No? Okay. I tried!
George Springer – 2-for-3, 3 RBIs and a slam (7) and legs (4), hitting .215. This homer was his 300th. Not this season, that wouldn’t be a record either. Bonds hit 400 one year in the early naughts.
Payton Tolle – 5 IP, 3 ER, 6 baserunners, 6 Ks, ERA at 2.93. This is one of those starts where it’s kinda neither here nor there. Want it to be better, but also can’t really take away anything from it.
Jarren Duran – 2-for-5 and his 12th homer, hitting .214. Actually having a solid season and also that means: having a season you’d expect from him and not much else.
Daniel Palencia – Hit the IL with elbow inflammation. SAGNOF, so I don’t get too hung up on being disappointed by closers, because they’re a dime a dozen and you can’t ever trust them, but Palencia has been a Morganna-sized bust and I drafted him everywhere. I was thinking he had CIA in his name because his saves have been in disguise as useless appearances and I couldn’t overthrow another team in that category. Maybe he’s disguised as an early 2000s musician, but then his name would be Dan.I.IL. Last time I take anything away from the WBC. “He looked so good vs. (I don’t know) Panama!” Yeah, who cares. Useless info. I blame when that stupid tourney takes place too. If it happened in July, then no one would care how good a closer looked. It’s in March when there’s nothing else to watch and there’s “I shouldn’t care, but there’s nothing else to watch” creep. Any hoo! I’d go Jacob Webb then Caleb Thielbar, because righty vs. lefty, but it’s likely a committee.
Pete Crow-Armstrong – 1-for-5 and his 14th homer, hitting .276 and his 14th homer, 2nd homer in two games. Not trying to take anything away from PCA. He’s actually been fine overall, but facing the Suckies’ pitchers is a cheatcode. Like doing self-checkout with large pocketed cargo pants.
Edward Cabrera – 4.1 IP, 5 ER, 5 baserunners, 3 Ks, ERA at 5.21. Left the game with a trainer. The Trainer is a character played by Michael Fassbender who’s pissed off about his fantasy team and takes players who have wronged him off the field, so to speak.
TJ Rumfield – 1-for-4, homer (10), 2 RBIs, hitting .275. Fun fact! Captain Morgan plants his flag in a Rumfield. Less fun fact! I have Rumfield in an NL Only league.
Jasson Dominguez – Missed yesterday after having a tooth pulled. Boone tied his tooth to a doorknob with a string and Bednar tried to close it, but couldn’t, so they brought in Fernando Cruz, and he got the job done.
Max Fried – Completed a bullpen session. It’s encouraging news for my favorite starter. He has multiple hurdles to go still, and, if he Edwin Moses’s them, then he’ll be back right after the All-Star Break, give or take a week.
Giancarlo Stanton – Re-injured his calf and will be shut down for a few more weeks. Just let him be healthy enough to get to 500 homers. Please.
Gerrit Cole – 6 IP, 2 ER, 5 baserunners, 6 Ks, ERA at 2.57. The Yankees scored a bunch of runs and Cole cruised out to the Ivictory Coast for a free night at the W.
Spencer Jones – 1-for-3, 2 runs, 2 RBIs and his 2nd homer, hitting .239. This was his first Yankee Stadium home run. Show him what we have for him…a trade to the Pirates for Nick Gonzales!
Jose Caballero – 2-for-4, 2 RBIs and his 7th homer, hitting .263, 2nd homer in two games. Who needs Aaron Judge!
Paul Goldschmidt – 2-for-5, 2 RBIs and his 10th homer, hitting .298. Au Shizz!
Ben Rice – 1-for-4, 2 runs, 2 RBIs and his 20th homer, hitting .292. Rice-a-HRoni!
Andrew Benintendi – 1-for-2 and his 8th homer, hitting .239, 2nd homer in four games. Benintendi chose truth, justice and the long ball for no reason other than he’s hot.
Davis Martin – 3 1/3 IP, 9 ER, 11 baserunners, 4 Ks, ERA at 3.31. Regression Fairies took their ass and applied it to my ratios. Thanks! First 11 starts: 15 ER, 3 HR allowed in 67 2/3 IP. Last 3 starts: 15 ER, 3 HR allowed in 14 IP.
Drew Rasmussen – 7 IP, 1 ER, 6 baserunners, 7 Ks, ERA at 2.59 vs. Justin Wrobleski – 6 IP, 0 ER, 3 baserunners, 5 Ks, ERA at 2.72. This matchup was billed as, “Pitching excellent vs. pitching Wrobleski’y and the difference is indecipherable.”
Tommy Edman – Activated from the IL, as he made his season debut. Long anticipated! Awaited! This is it, guys and five girl readers! Who is it again we’re talking about? Oh, yeah! Tommy Edman! Wait, he didn’t play.
Shohei Ohtani – 1-for-4 and his 15th homer, hitting .297. No slam and legs? No seven-plus shutout innings? Boring!
Foster Griffin – 6 IP, 1 ER, 8 baserunners, 6 Ks, ERA at 3.32. Streamonator loved this start, and I kinda just like Griffin, in general. Really reliable backend starter numbers. Griffy up! (Like giddy up. No? Okay.)
Curtis Mead – 1-for-3, 3 RBIs and his 11th homer, hitting .236. Butera platooning Mead and LuGaJu drives me crazy, but they do have value. Like you in a bathing suit, you gotta suck up the lost ABs.
Michael Wacha – 6 IP, 3 ER, 8 baserunners, 3 Ks, ERA at 3.64. Fine, but I’ve given up on Wacha and Lugo. They burned me too many times. Yes, this is all about me! Are you just reading for the first time?
Daniel Lynch IV – 1 IP, 3 ER, ERA at 2.61. The Royals’ pen entire womb is polluted like Michelle Pfeiffer in Scarface.
Kumar Rocker – 3.1 IP, 6 ER, 9 baserunners, 4 Ks, ERA at 4.17. Twins really punk Rocker. Ya know when man first discovered fire there had to be one guy, let’s call him Grey, and let’s call the fire “starting Kumar Rocker,” and you know right after fire was discovered this Grey person had to “start Kumar Rocker” one too many times and was like, “Holy crap, this burns!”
Zebby Matthews – 7 IP, 2 ER, 8 baserunners, 4 Ks, ERA at 4.78. 7.1 K/9, 1.9 BB/9, velocity down (but still okay), and I can’t get excited yet. Maybe at some point but after one Quality Start after he was crushed his last time out for 7 ER? Nah.
Trevor Larnach – 4-for-6 and his 4th homer, hitting .264. The Larnach Monster roars and pushes the flyer for Tampa-area realty off his locker bench.
Kody Clemens – 2-for-4, 2 runs, 3 RBIs and his 11th homer, hitting .251, now five homers in two weeks. Roger, ye of little faith. Roger, you should’ve named him HRody.
Luis Rengifo – Designated for assignment. His assignment is to be as good as I think he is. Unlikely!
Robert Gasser – 5.2 IP, 0 ER, 4 baserunners, 5 Ks, ERA at 4.88. Gasser throws 92 MPH. Maybe more like Bob Gassed? His bigger issue is command. Not in general, but this year his BB/9 is over 4, and Bob Gassed, until we see more.
Garrett Mitchell – 2-for-3, HR (5), hitting .258. I keep wanting him to suck for Lara to get called up, but, in truth, Mitchell’s been a hot schmotato for a few weeks now — .353 in the last 7 days with two homers, .308 in the last two weeks, .300-ish in the last 30 days with four homers.
Angel Martinez – Out with a fractured foot. That gives Gabriel Arias more playing time. Hey, out of curiosity, did Gabriel Arias fracture Angel’s foot? Well played, if so.
Slade Cecconi – 5.2 IP, 1 ER, 5 baserunners, 4 Ks, ERA at 4.60. Trust me, I’m trying to find bright spots for guys who pitched, uh, brightly. Let’s see what he does next time out, i.e., it’s a Blank Slade.
Michael King – 4.1 IP, 3 ER, 8 baserunners, 1 K, ERA at 3.60. Said I don’t give you many pitcher sells because they’re super obvious like Spencer Arrighetti, and I go over pitchers every time out, saying whether they’re pitching over their head or not. But I actually gave you a Michael King Sell because I felt it was worth saying a few weeks ago.
Andre Pallante – 7 IP, 2 ER, 4 baserunners, 6 Ks, ERA at 3.76. This is kinda funny in a very unfunny way. Slade Cecconi, Zebby Matthews and Pallante all pitched well. I dig in on all of them, and came away with a large-scaled meh on the Eh to Meh Scale.
Mike Trout – 2-for-5, 3 RBIs and his 17th homer, hitting .233, 2nd homer in two games. Trout is about to pass Pujols in WAR. Ya know, the guy with 700+ homers.
Reid Detmers – 7 IP, 0 ER, 3 baserunners, 3 Ks, ERA at 3.68. Have we seen the emergence of Reid Detmers as an ace? Methinks, and metalks like an leprechaun.
Zach Neto – 2-for-5, 2 runs and his 14th homer, hitting .223. I don’t know if he has the highest year over year gains on strikeouts, but it’s close, if it’s not him. He’s suddenly a .220 hitter. Not neato, Neto.
Bryan Reynolds – 4-for-5, 3 runs, 3 RBIs and his 10th and 11th homers, hitting .280. When Mr. Excitement walks on the beach, he doesn’t leave footprints, because he floats.
Jack Perkins – 5 IP, 3 ER, 8 baserunners, 6 Ks, ERA at 6.15, in 85 pitches. Wait, he’s already stretched out? Is Jack Perkins made of Silly Putty?
Zack Gelof – 3-for-3, 2 runs, 2 RBIs and a slam (10) and legs (8), hitting .286, 2nd homer in four games. I might be crazy, but Gelof feels like one of those guys who you drop and at the end of the year you look at the Player Rater and he’s top 10 for his position. He’s nearly hitting .290 right now, by the way.
Elly De La Cruz – Will head out on a rehab assignment, which puts him available around beginning of next week. That’s me with your E! news.
Sal Stewart – 2-for-3, 4 RBIs and his 14th homer, hitting .252. Good for him but does it count if it’s off a 25% off Kodai Senga.
Spencer Steer – 1-for-3 and his 11th homer, hitting .249. It’s 25% off Senga, get in now!
Mark Vientos – 1-for-2, 2 RBIs and his 8th homer, hitting .218. “Just let one arm free.” That’s me to the guy who I hired to tie me up if I ever tried to pick up Vientos again.
Kodai Senga – 4 IP, 4 ER, 6 baserunners, 5 Ks, ERA at 9.00 as he was activated from the IL. Mets are hilarious. Last week, “Kodai Senga will not go in his rehab start because ulnar nerve irritation in his right arm.” Today, yup, he’s ready! They should just say, “We want to trade him and he says he can start for us, so let’s see what happens, okay? And don’t answer the ‘okay?’ question. It was a retort-a-cal, is that what they’re called? Don’t answer that either.”
This Ritchie start could be going better.
Ha
Et tu, Sproat? Not a great couple of streams tbf, but jeez.
Yeah brutal
Especially when your opponent has 32 Ks from 26 IP, a 1.65 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and FOUR Quality Starts today. Not to mentiomn he owns Goldy, Jazz and mother-effing Bryan Reynolds!
And Dubon? Who the hell rosters him?
Could I get an assessment of my keeper roster at this point in the season?
C Herrera $7
1B Burleson $12
1B/OF O’Hearn $4
2B Albies $17
2B Edwards $12
3B Vargas $4
3B/SS Lee $4
SS Abrams $17
SS Culpepper $4
OF Acuna $40
OF Happ $9
OF Lile $6
OF Carpenter $4
OF Waldschmidt $4
SP Rasmussen $12
SP Misiorowski $7
SP Tolle $7
SP Chandler $4
SP Jump $4
That leaves room for one more bat, five more starters, and five relievers. Here are some other guys that I’m considering holding onto but are much less sure about at this point:
2B Meidroth $4
SS Pratt $4
OF Varsho $10
SP Roupp $4
SP Gasser $4
SP Liberatore $4
SP Wenninger $4
SP Wiggins $4
RP Suarez $8
RP Uribe $7
RP Estrada $6
RP Webb $4
RP Whitlock $4
I also have some high-priced guys that are helping me out this year but won’t make the cut for 2027 for budgetary reasons that I’m not mentioning here. This is a 12-team dynasty/keeper. W+QS, SV+HLD where saves are double. Any overall thoughts or suggestions? What stats/positions should I be targeting as I seek to improve? Where am I weak/strong?
Pitching looks too shallow and your hitting the opposite…You have two of every infield position and only five SPs…then pretty weak OF…so, hitting is weak, pitching is ok, but you have one ace and some flyers and risk…these guys who are available aren’t very interesting…I guess Pratt or Chase…Maybe Gasser, Roupp, these are all bad options…Trade Albies or Edwards for a better SP, trade a SS or 3B for a decent OF and try to fix your SPs
Lambert had a good day against Det.
Who you prefer ROS Tolle or Lambert in a Yahoo points league?
Thanks!
Tolle
Bottom of the 9th, 2 outs, bases loaded, down 1 run, Ced Mullins comes to the plate and predictably strikes out because Cash inexplicably decided to bat him 3rd and Caminero 4th today. They are all so freakin stupid.
Hahaha
Drop lodolo and/or taj for any of JT ginn, pallante, cecconi, Brandon young, griffin Jax, walker buehler
Sure, Ginn and Jax
I was talking crap about Jax becoming a starter (because I drafted him as a closer) and now I’m praying I can get him in FAAB. Oh this humbling sport.
Haha yup
Grey- Stowers had a big game, maybe getting his timing back- 4 for 5 with 2 slams, 5 rbi and a double.
Would you get back in where he was dropped over Braden Montgomery?
Thanks!
Meh, if you want to try it
My H2H league values pitching quality over quantity (K/BB instead of K, 25 IP minimum) so I carry a bunch of RPs and usually pick 3 or 4 starts from this crew: Ohtani, Webb, McLean, Ashcraft, Eovaldi, Rodon. I’d be better off dumping one for a bench hitter to swap in on off days.
Which pitchers would you include with Bregman to offer for an upgrade (?) to Wetherholt? Which would you accept if you had JJ?
Ashcraft, Eovaldi, or Rodon
Lambert and Stowers SONAVBENCH!!
Ouch
MLB Teams be like,
“This guy tweaked a hammy and is day to day.”
Next day: “We’re giving him one more day off to rest. He’ll be fine tomorrow. No plans to put him on IL.”
Next day: “He’s not starting but is available off the bench. He’s almost better. No plans to put him on IL.”
Next day: “He’s getting his leg amputated.”
Haha
Hey Grey, I’ve got Adley as my C but someone just dropped Dingler. It feels really close, who you like better? H2H cats league
Dingler
Left McLean on my bench today. Just wanted to make all you guys feel better about your fantasy teams.
I started his counterpart Lodolo so not feeling much better.
Me too, sonavabench!
The IronPigs better dust off Painter’s old locker…sheesh what a hot mess right now. Glad I have him in a dynasty league!
HAHA
1. Is Austin Riley still a hold in 10-teamers?
2. Mead or Mookie at Util?
1. Move on 2. Mookie
Awww did stinky pitcher pitch well again? Hahaha. Wrobleski has a 2.72 ERA and a 1.01 whip and pitches on the Dodgers so 8 wins. I will keep starting him until it goes bad for at least 3 consecutive starts.
Nice
Afternoon & Happy National Eat Your Vegetables Day!
I’m sure there’s a vegetable joke, but I can’t think of one that’s in good taste… sorta like vegetables. Hey I did it!
Anyway, since when is Wednesday an “off day” for MLB teams? did I miss the memo?
I just lost JRam & Vinnie P to hand bones and now Maikel Garcia is “DTD”… what the fennel??
Now I need a (hopefully) temporary bat. Who you like best from the following:
Thanks as always!
Teams have off? Canzone
thanks
& yep, no games today for:
MIN
TEX
I guess just those 2 & apparently I have too many bats on those 2 teams.
Oh that is weird…I don’t think I have one twins or rangers on any team ha
*hitter
probably why my teams are in a slump, haha!
Haha
Now if the A’s weren’t playing, I’d have entire teams that were empty
A few cities are scheduling around the World Cup this week.
Gotcha
I believe they’re off to accommodate a world cup game in the stadium.
There needs to be different ways to cut a guy of your roster. A simple drop doesn’t really convey the way I’m feeling about Lodolo right now.
HAHA
There should be a purge option. His photo slowly disappears next to your roster.
HAHA
ROS saves only Seranthony or G.Taylor?
Seranthony
This jag Lodolo has cooked my ratios three weeks in a row now. Time to get back on the apps?
Lose him
Lodolo cut.
Rage drop!
Right there with you.
What’s worse, giving up 7 runs to the Mets or having Chris Paddack come in to replace you?
Hahaha insulting
What’s good Grey? One of these pitchers will have to go once Mason Miller is activated off the bereavement list in my 12-team H2H keeper league: Abbott, Lodolo, Jones, Sheehan or Cameron. I’m thinking Cameron or Lodolo, but what says you?
Tell Cougs to say hi to Ted!
I just cut Lodolo.
Lodolo — they say hi!
Which side do you like?
Jazz or Albies/Benge
Thanks!
Albies it’s fair
Or Albies/Soda
Albies/Soder
Reynolds jumped up to #40 on the Razzball Player Rater with his 2-homer night.
Wow, that’s higher than I thought
#10 OF. Ahead of Bellinger, Carroll, Judge, and Soto
Mr. Excitement!
Gilbert gave Seattle their 5th top 50 entry on the 100 Best Fantasy Starts list. Detmers scored his second appearance and the 4th for the Angels:
18 Bryan Woo May 30 vs ARI
20 Jose Soriano Apr 6 vs ATL
22 Emerson Hancock Mar 29 vs CLE
34 Logan Gilbert Jun 16 vs BAL
45 Jose Soriano Apr 12 @CIN
48 Bryce Miller Jun 6 @DET
49 Bryan Woo May 6 vs ATL
62 Reid Detmers Apr 14 @NYY
98 Reid Detmers Jun 16 @ARI
Good stuff, thanks, Vin!
Hi Gray,
Thanks to you and Rudy for working to fix the site.
What do you think of offering Baz plus Noah Cameron to try and pick up Sonny Gray?
Thanks!!!!
Works for me
Besides Noah Cameron plus Baz to pick up Sonny Grey. Another option is Wilymer Abreu plus Camaron or Baz to pick up Bryan Reynolds. Do you have a preference? Thanks so much!!!!
10:19 AM
Reynolds or Gray are apples/ornages, depends what you need
r
Grey,
Trying to decide on who to trade away in a 12-team, 5×5 OBP league. I have Soto, Witt, Carroll, and Griffin but I can only keep 3. Someone has to go…
Witt seems obvious to keep, but the others have some case. Griffin is unproven and would likely be my UTIL next year (doubt he keeps OF eligibility). Or do I move Soto and keep the three youngest? Or give up Carroll to keep Griffin?
Who would you give up?
I’d look to trade Konnor if he’d be your UTIL
Watching Reid Detmers turning into a *set and forget* right before our very eyes. His value could skyrocket with a deadline trade to a contender.
He’s been there for a bit now, but this is certainly an impressive run hes on, let’s hope he can keep it going
Yeah, and imagine he went to a good team that knew what it was doing
Seattle can always use more pitchers. Grrrrr.
Haha
M Garcia keeps getting hurt. Something has been off this year anyways. Is he worth holding onto in a 12t points league? Where did you think he ranks against Kody Clemens ROS?
I’d move on, Kody’s been decent
would you trade Soderstrom for Logan Webb?
Sure
Grey –
H2H Points League
Mead or Parades ROS?
Thanks!
Mead
Jed Hoyer sucks
Knows very little about baseball
The Bada Bing! should be the name of the new ballpark in Vegas
That is all
Hahaha
Love Zebby… But sure why is era is in the 4s, but like where are the ks?
Yeah, I don’t know
Joshua Baez’s last 600 combined or so AA & AAA Plate Appearances:
.271/39 HRs/46 SBs/98 Runs/113 Ribeyes!!!
Any reason to keep him down there!?!?! It’s rhetorical!
Seriously tho…have you heard any rumblings about the Cards bringing him up soon-ish?
Haven’t heard a thing about promoting him — could happen but I haven’t heard it
Lots of strikeouts!
Welp…Last 22 games: 25 Ks in 104 PAs: 24.0%…So, not too shabby!! Cards need to trade Nutbar (and a Catcher?) for whatever they can get AND DEN promote Joshua. He READY!
Haha
Struggling to fill my second Catcher spot while Jeffers is out. Who do you like out of this group:
Logan O’Hoppe
Endy Rodriguez
Jonah Heim
Kyle Higashioka
Brandon Valenzuela
Just need the occasional Home Run
Prolly just go Jonah while they’re in Bing Bong
How would you rank these replacements for Grisham in an OBP/SLG league:
Kody Clemens
Canzone
Blaze Alexander
Kody, Canzone
Jacob Webb or Daniel lynch?
Webb
I just got Corbin Carroll for James Wood. Did I do ok?
Sounds fair
Would you take Julio for Wood? I have him in another league. I’m also thinking of just holding him in case he doesn’t slump in one league
Sounds fair
Grey –
Want to say thanks-thanks-thanks for the Zach Gelof recommendation a few weeks back. Brilliant! I’ve been riding the wave! Gelof has enabled me to bench Hoerner while the latter is struggling.
For IL stashes, would you drop Ragans and pick up Snell? Feel like it’s not going to end well for Ragans.
Nice! Yes, Snell
Same here!
Haha
Grey: 1 more opinion, if you please. I see your RP comments below.
My 10tm H2h has saves/holds and I am currently rostering Whilock for Holds. I Have Cade Smith, D Williams, and Chapman for Saves.
Would you drop Whitlock for Grant Taylor? or Santillion?
Taylor
I’m very unlikely to contend this year. Have an offer of Eldridge (keep for two years) for my Alonso (nonkeeper). You think Eldridge is legit, or likely to regress after this hot start.
I can’t understand why he’s cut his Ks so much, but it seems like he has…So if you can’t compete or keep Alonso, why not take Eldridge?
The 2 day Relievonator is stuck on yesterday. Showing 6-16 and 6-17.Today’s first update was ~ 8:10 AM.
I’ll ping Rudy
Thanks
No problem
Probably to do with the fact Razzball was offline for several hours. The Player Rater & Best Starts list haven’t updated either.
Will ping Rudy on that too
Rudy said it should be done momentarily
Rudy said it should be done momentarily
Trying to harvest young pitching in my Dynasty Keep forever without contracts. Rank for development/ trade values.
Abel, Scott, Cavalli, Roupp and Henderson ( 3 of the five are currently IL)
Logan H., Cade, Scott, Abel
From the *Rumors and Propaganda* portion of the program, heard that Logan H could be a centerpiece in a Skrubal deal.
Oh well, can’t have anything nice I guess
Would you drop either of Hoffman or Grant Taylor for Santillan in a saves/holds league?
Hoffman
Start or sit Ashcraft @ Athletics?
Sit
Hi sir,
12-team auction keeper league, 6×6 with K/9, IP, QS, OBP as cats.
I haven’t won this league in over a decade, but I’m in first place currently, and have been for most of the season, but my big lead seems to be dwindling.
The last place team has given up on this year and is trying to trade away his more expensive players for some young, cheap talent for next year and beyond.
Now he’s suggesting his Dylan Cease ($35 to keep) and Casey Schmidt ($8) for my Bryce Eldridge ($8) and Dylan Crews ($8).
It’s a no-brainer, right? I am willing to sacrifice a potential future superstar for a win this season. Why am I so worried about it?
It is
Grey, when do you think we’ll see Ty Johnson get the call? Got up to 6 ip in his last start and has been pretty unhittable.
Wouldn’t hold my breath…They should’ve already
Please give order of best ROS potential for these starters.
Detmers
D May
S Manaea
Assad
N Cameron
Detmers….May….Cameron
Hey Grey!
Great jab at Bednar! lol.
What are your thoughts:
1) Start Lodolo today vs NYM (bot at $17.1)?
10tm H2H redraft, current have Burns,Ascroft,Eovaldi,Tolle,Yesavage,Soroka,Lodolo
2) SP: Would you drop any (Lodo?) and pick up Framber? Jared Jones? Ryan Weahers? Sheehan?
Thanks!
Thanks! 1. No 2. Yes, Framber
Gracias!
No problem
Brandon Young is like Nico Nunez for QS / you’re prob going to hate every other stat, but you’ll get those QSs!
HAHA
I drafted Webb, Gausman, Sonny Gray, Bradish, E. Cabrera and Lodolo as my starters in a 13-team 5×5 standard roto with 175-start limit. Now my starters are Webb, Gausmann, Sonny Gray, Bradish, Kolek, May, and Foster Griffin.
Lose any of Bradish, Kolek, May, or Griffin for Brandon Young?
All this has been good for 8th place and 1 point each in ERA and WHIP. Sad!
Meh, hold
Thanks!
No problem
The Colt Keith injury reinforces my suspicion that every once in a while something clicks for a baseball player where they realize a THE THING that let’s them just win at baseball, at which point they are confronted by the cult of others who’ve made the same realization and forced to fake an injury then enter a pact to keep THE THING safe and only use it occasionally.
Only thing that makes sense!
Good morning Grey!

Chase Burns or Cease ROS ?
Burns
Burns, may not have as extreme highs as Cease but he likely won’t have those lows either.
Cut Naylor for Goldie?
Meh
I wouldn’t.
Note to self, you get downvoted anytime you offer advice on this platform…
lol ignore that
Hi Grey,
Good morning.
With Arozarena on IL, do you prefere to move forward with Lawrence Butler, Jake Burger or Benintendi. thanks!

Which of these would you go for to replace Palencia in traditional roto — trying to get saves if possible but also don’t want to blow up ratios? Thanks!
Alex Lange, Hogan Harris, Grant Taylor, Seranthony, Jacob Webb, Caleb Killian, Tony Santillan
Santillan
This is why I read this column…only Grey can work an Olympic legend into a baseball blog!
Haha
Did you mean the Cote d’Ivictoire for a free night at the G?
I’m wondering why we had to change to Cote d’Ivoire from Ivory Coast and now Turkiye for Turkey, but we don’t call other countries by their native names. No Sverige, Norige, Suomi, Espana, or Deutschland. Why do we even have different names for them? “Welcome to Norige.” “We’re going to call you Norway.”
Yes! I love a sassy Vin…
10tm 6×6 OBP and QS. Trade analyzer wasnt much help (Gelof -$7)
Im in 9th place and rank 6th or worse in all pitching cats but 3rd or better in 5 batting cats. (5th in SB)
I was offered King for Christian Walker. I have Devers
I want to counter with King for Gelof. Is this fair?
Or should I look for more? Maybe King and Ceddanne for Gore and Gelof?

I’d take Gelof…I’d take Gore/Gelof…I’d take Walker…
I wouldn’t move Walker for King, you should be able to get much more of a return for him. Look to trade Devers or Gelof or buy low on an injured starter like Logan Henderson.
I’d take Walker
For sure, I think the OP would be the one acquiring King while trading away Walker as his pitching needs upgrading but trading Walker for King is way too much.
Yeah not sure
Haha I have Henderson. Thank you for the suggestion.
Gelof has a 20 game hit streak!
Sounds like it started from the day I said to buy him
This can be checked, you know.
So, you were a bit early, but you didn’t want us to miss out! It was a pretty funny lede, with ChatGPT giving you stuff that you had written about him.
Gelof has hit .372 with 4 HR and 2 SB during the streak, including 2 Slam & Legs.
Ha, thanks! Sounds pretty good! Honestly you can’t go wrong with A’s hitters
Hahahahaha…no!
that was a great call, I am riding him in several leagues.
Nice!
Making trades in a 14 team keeper league I’m contenting in:
Would you trade for Xavier Edwards and Bryan Woo for rest of the season? Or hold to see what else may be available?
Trade them for what
