Happy New Year and Happy Holidays. I hope the holiday season has been one of joy and happiness for you.
That said, welcome to the first installment of the Top 400 Dynasty Players for 2025. This week and next I will take two giant bites out of the countdown as I rank the players from 400-301 this week and then 300-201 the following week. After that will come bite sized looks of the final 200 players.
I know for a fact that some of you will not like my rankings. But I have my biases and certain ways I evaluate fantasy players and have done so for decades. So take these rankings as a starting point and adjust as you see fit. No matter what, I hope these rankings will be a useful tool for you.
Secondly, you will not see any prospects in my rankings unless they have debuted in the majors. So you will not see Anthony Quinn ranked, nor Owen Cassie or a host of other top prospects. I also did not rank Kumar Rocker as 11.2 innings of work on the MLB level barely counts. But if you are wondering, I really like him as I traded for him in two leagues earlier this offseason.
With that said, let’s get started.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone and welcome back to the Top 50 Dynasty Keepers for 2025 series. If this the first time for you to read one of these series entries, then welcome aboard.
Ranking outfielders can be tricky because a host of left fielders can also play right field, or center field, or heck, somewhere in the infield. Thus, some of the players you see in the rankings here you will see again over the next two weeks or have already seen, but they just may be ranked higher or lower compared to these rankings.
This position is heavy on players under the age of 30. Out of the 50 players I ranked, only 14 of them are 30 years old or older. Despite the youth, the position still has a lot of depth. You can get a pretty solid player from Tier 3 and even Tier 4 if a few of the players ranked there can rebound after poor seasons.
Overall, this is a position where I am counting on some very young players with high upside to actual reach that upside.
That said, let’s get on with the rankings.

What is up party people? Just when it looked like Luis Matos was going to have the chance to bat everyday and work through his struggles, the Giants got some veteran outfielders back from the IL and deemed it appropriate to send Matos back to AAA. Now I can’t deny that he’s been a rut at the plate with just 2 hits in his last 19 at bats and hasn’t had an extra base hit in what feels like a year. Combine that with a complete lack of walks and you get a guy who went hotter than the surface of the sun to absolute zero. I’m still a believer in his talent and hope that this is just a short stint in the minors to get right and then he’ll be back.
