Yankees fans put on A Tribe Called Quest and sing, “We’ve got the Jazz…We’ve got the Jazz…We’ve got the Jazz…We’ve got the Jazz…We’ve got the Jazz…We’ve got the Jazz…We’ve got the Jazz…” Of course, the Yankees have great players; they always do. I’m sorry, I’m not a Yankees fan, but it’s just true. This year they not only have great players, but they have cool players. The coolness factor just went up an Emeril notch with the addition of Jazz Chisholm Jr. (1-for-5, 1 run, 23rd steal). Yankees get Jazz, Yacht Rock to Miami. Boone batted him 5th yesterday, because Boone is low-key an idiot, but I think Yankees order will become Jazz, Sexy, Judge. Is this an MLB lineup or a Tinder date with Judge Judy? Turn your nose up to Judge Judy? Sure, bro. She’s worth $480 million! I’ll be the Judge of that! Yankees said they don’t have Jazz’s position finalized. I’d put Jazz at 2nd and Gleyber at 3rd, but Boone loves him some DJ LeMahieu. Boone is saying Jazz could play 3rd, which is honestly hilarious, but give us that position eligibility. If Jazz can elevate his swing in New York, then it’s elevator music, and he could be in for a huge power surge. If nothing else, out of the Marlins’ lineup takes this as a positive. Better lineup, better park, better vibes? I see why the Yankees fans are singing Tribe. It could be a big two months. Anyway, here’s what else I saw this weekend in fantasy baseball:
J.D. Davis – Designated for assignment, i.e., Just Designated Davis.
Kutter Crawford – 4 2/3 IP, 5 ER, ERA at 3.60. Kutter? I’m about to cut you! (Destroyed him, like he destroyed my ratios.) Streamonator had this start as a negative, so I’m trying to hold tight, since this was a bad matchup.
Danny Jansen – Sent to the Red Sox. Reese McGuire was DFA’d for his 2nd worst day of the week. He’s gonna need to park in his personal spot in the Dollar Tree parking lot labeled, “Handi-cupped.” Would love to see Jansen play 1st base and play every day. That would take his value to the moon. I like values going to the moon. Moon values are good. [handshake, manshake, moonshake] The wall doesn’t hurt either, but what’s kinda funny is I went to get you some actual stats and he’s hit .184 in Fenway in 87 ABs. Meh, it’s irrelevant. He was facing the Sawx pitchers as a visitor. When it’s your home facing garbagey Jays’ pitching, it’s a whole new ballgame. This should turn the job in Toronto back to Kirk, and beam me up, Scotty, to a planet where any other catcher is available. Going the other way in the Jansen trade was Cutter Coffey. Dreams of an all-Cutter/Kutter team in Beantown evaporate like an R at the end of a word in Southie.
Jesse Winker – Traded to the Mets. Oh, I see what’s going on here. You can’t spell Muppets without Mets. First, Grimace now they got Beaker:
Jesse Winker is 4′ 11″ without his neck pic.twitter.com/KUAi3wh6b0
— Razzball (@Razzball) August 9, 2019
Winker was a 24-homer guy in Cincy, and that’s the most ideal environment for him. Now, in the final two months, roughly a 7/7/.260 guy. It’s totally fine, but more valuable for the Mets than likely for you. For those in deep leagues, I think this hurts Tyrone Taylor and kills DJ Stewart. Watch yo’self, Red Alert, it’s a bad year to be a DJ in New York.
Kodai Senga – Out 8-10 weeks with a high-grade calf injury, and done for the season. I could take a victory lap by telling you to avoid him, but I thought he’d come back and re-injure his arm, and I’m afraid if I take a victory lap God will punish me with a calf injury.
Pete Alonso – 2-for-4, 2 RBIs and his 21st homer. Albombso!
Spencer Schwellenbach – 7 IP, 0 ER, 2 hits, zero walks, 11 Ks, ERA at 4.06. I’d say Streamonator or Schweamonator, but the Braves could also trade for an SP by tomorrow, then again:
Reynaldo Lopez – Left his start with forearm tightness. What, he can’t handle a 50-inning jump from one year to next? Geez. Now he’s surely going to miss his start vs. the MIA Marlins, and likely much more. And don’t call me Shirley!
Matt Olson – 1-for-4, 3 RBIs and his 15th homer, and 2nd homer in as many games. Get hot, you ess oh bee!
Austin Riley – 2-for-4, 2 runs, 2 RBIs and his 14th homer. See 1/8th of an inch above. Or six inches if one of five girl readers are reading.
Kevin Gausman – 9 IP, 3 ER, 7 baserunners, 8 Ks, ERA at 4.44, as he threw 118 pitches. Ha, someone wants off the Jays, and he might get his wish. Actually, if you play for the Jays, and you’re reading this, you might start booking your Travelocity tickets now.
Daulton Varsho – 1-for-3, 2 runs, 2 RBIs and his 13th homer, and 2nd homer in two games. Hot schmotato alert!
Carson Kelly – Traded to the Rangers for. Dot dot dot. Why?
Jon Gray – Hurt his groin before his start. Last time he prepares for a start by taking advice from Chris Elliott.
Josh H. Smith – 1-for-4, 2 RBIs and a slam (11) and legs (7), hitting.282. Mean’s while, Josh Jung helped an old lady cross the street.
Jack Suwinski – Optioned to Triple-A. Such a minor move (literally?), but this surprised me. I had more faith in him than the club. That rarely happens.
Oneil Cruz – 1-for-3, 2 runs, and his 17th homer, 2nd homer in two games. I’d be the happiest little boy on earth if he reaches 30 homers.
Eugenio Suarez – 1-for-2, 3 RBIs and his 13th homer, third homer in the week. The schmotato continuez.
Yilber Diaz – 5 IP, 0 ER, 1 hit, 4 walks, 7 Ks, ERA at 4.05. Four walks in 5 IP? Yilber more like Won’tber for me.
Paul Sewald – 1 IP, 1 ER, ERA at 3.76, and his 4th blown save. If Sewald were in trouble of losing his closer job (doubtful), I’d go Ginkel before Puk. Said a’la Ace Ventura, “Ginkel…Puk….Puk….Ginkel!”
Jason Adam – Traded to the Padres to be a setup man. He’s solid, but the Padres sent their 2022 1st round pick Dylan Lesko, Homer Bush Jr. and JD Gonzalez. Hate someone as much as Preller hates prospects.
Tyler Phillips – 9 IP, 0 ER, 5 baserunners, 4 Ks, ERA at 1.80. If you’re a pitcher with no expectations, get in that line over there where it says, “Will be great.” Pitchers with expectations, get in that other line that says, “You suck.” The great thing about what Phillips is doing is he’s showing pinpoint command. Anyone works if they have a BB/9 under 1. Will that continue? He had a 3.6 BB/9 in Triple-A this year! What is going on?
Carlos Estevez – Traded to the Phils. Phillies somehow always have zero closers and three closers simultaneously. So, expect Estevez gets at least 33% of the saves? Prolly closer (pun?) to 60%. They seem to like to use Hoffman in all innings they need him, and Alvarado isn’t trustworthy. Could see the pen breaking down as 60/35/5 with Estevez/Hoff/Alvarado.
Kyle Schwarber – 2-for-4, 3 RBIs and his 21st and 22nd homer, third homer in two games. Screams to the heavens, “Schwarbombs!”
Jhonkensy Noel – 3-for-4, 3 RBIs and his 6th homer. HONK-SEE!
Luis Garcia – 1 IP, 0 ER, ERA at 3.71, and his 1st save. With Estevez gone, Garcia will be the closer, until he’s traded in the next day and Ben Joyce takes over.
Seth Lugo – 6 1/3 IP, 6 ER, ERA at 2.66. Damn, Seth Lugo got out of line and onto the end of the “You suck,” line.
Cole Ragans – 5 2/3 IP, 4 ER, ERA at 3.37. Did another trade with BDon, this time it was Jhoan Duran for Ragans. I didn’t like Ragans coming into the year, because of his price, but I need an SP and had RPs to spare. Decided to do the trade even though it’s less mockworthy than when BDon sent me Judge for Hader and Robert Suarez.
Nate Pearson – Traded to the Cubs. See people questioning whether this makes the Cubs buyers. Does buying a lottery ticket make one a millionaire? More confused why the Jays would sell him. They got back Yohendrick Pinango, who was clearly traded because the confusion when people yelled his name and Kyle Hendricks would come.
Isaac Paredes – Traded to the Cubs for Christopher Morel. This doesn’t make them buyers either, but it does make them big fans of Ethel Merman, and clearly skeptical of Statcast, because Paredes is a minus 13 on homers in Wrigley vs. Tampa. If being honest, I think that “how many homers in this park” stat is more art than science, because guys can adjust to their park. My guess for two months is this is a neutral move for Paredes. Cubs and Rays both stink for hitting, and Paredes is power-only. Why did the Cubs and Rays make this trade of Paredes/Morel? Anyone’s guess!
Javier Assad – 6 IP, 3 ER, 6 baserunners, 5 Ks, ERA at 3.23. This was in only 81 pitches, and I still worry Assad is only a 4-5 IP pitcher. Streamonator hates his next one, but it seems okay.
Patrick Wisdom – 1-for-5 and his 6th homer, hitting .210, and 2nd homer in two games, and third homer in a little over a week. Wisdom is a hot schmotato? Smart!
Zack Littell – 7 IP, 0 ER, 4 baserunners, 5 Ks, ERA at 4.18. I love that cry for help!
Jeffrey Springs – Activated to start on Tuesday. Okay, Robbie Ray, Springs, Kershaw, that’s the order.
Christopher Morel – Traded to the Rays. I’m thinking Morel stonks up, and hoping so like a mushroom farmer. My incredibly worried face is because he’s a righty. He either plays every day or he’s out vs. righties. One is great, one is the end of his value. Now it’s up to the Rays — Cash rules everything around me! Unlike Paredes, Morel’s Statcast is helped by this move, but he really just needs to make contact. Rays do run more, so no L there.
Hunter Greene – 7 IP, 0 ER, 2 hits, 1 walk, 5 Ks, ERA at 2.97. We’ve reached the point of the program where Hunter Greene could throw a no-hitter every time out.
Paul Goldschmidt – 2-for-4 and his 16th homer. Au Shizz!
Michael Toglia – 2-for-4, 2 runs and his 18th homer, and 2nd homer in three games. He has nine homers in July. Or same as Yandy Diaz, Max Muncy and Cody Bellinger have on the year.
Blake Snell – 6 IP, 0 ER, 2 hits, 2walks, 15 Ks, ERA at 5.10. Snell post-ASB = Bob Gibson.
Hayden Birdsong – 5 IP, 0 ER, 6 baserunners, 8 Ks, ERA at 2.97. Jordan Hicks who!? He’s the Giants’ starter who is moving to the pen. It’s a figure of speech, Random Italicized Voice. ‘Jordan Hicks who’ is no figure of speech.
Nick Gonzales – Hit the IL with a groin strain. TMI!
Jose Miranda – Left the game after taking a melonballer off the coconut. Somehow, even when it’s no fault of their own, the Twins hitters get hurt.
Bailey Ober – 8 IP, 0 ER, 1 hit, 2 walks, 11 Ks, ERA at 3.76. Where, and I cannot emphasize this enough but I will pause to attempt to emphasize it, has this been? Give me two months of this, the good shizz!
Gavin Lux – 1-for-2, 2 runs, 2 RBIs and his 6th homer, as he bats third, and he was in Friday’s Buy column, because I lix him.
River Ryan – 5 2/3 IP, 1 ER, 5 baserunners, 8 Ks, ERA at 0.82. Streamonator has him going against the A’s next, but the A’s are sneaky good. As a poker player might think, to River or not to River?
Xavier Edwards – 4-for-4, 2 runs and his 1st homer, as he hit for the cycle. Ugh, I was hoping to sneak him through Sunday FAAB, but a cycle makes that a lot harder. Not saying he’s great, but he stole two bags on Saturday (7, 8), and he’s now leading off since Jazz left. X-Ed is no longer just for practicing by putting a condom on a banana.
Jackson Chourio – 1-for-4 and his 11th homer, as he hit third. Get those jacks off, Jackson!
Devin Williams – 1 IP, 0 ER, as he was activated from the IL. My guess is he’ll be the closer, but it never hurts to wait to see a save or three before dropping his Mefill in.
Bryan Woo – 4 IP, 0 ER, ERA at 2.35 vs. the Shite Sox, as he exited with a hamstring injury, because: Woo. He says he’ll be fine for his next start. I’m sure. Ow, eye roll headache.
Cal Raleigh – 2-for-5, 3 RBIs and his 22nd homer, 2nd homer in two games too. Two-two is also what comes out of his giant ass after he says, “Here comes the train!”
Garrett Crochet – 3 IP, 3 ER, ERA at 3.23. Crochet threw 64 pitches through three innings, then held up a contract to extend him into the 4th inning, but no dice.
Big Christmas getting the short side. Bah humbug!
NOOOOOOO, we need JHONK
Montgomery can eat a giant dick sandwich!
Obligatory:

Which return do you prefer for an expensive Snell? (No way I’m keeping him and my team is in last place currently.)
Luzardo $24
Yoshida $18
Neither? Can you get cheaper guys that are better? Snell is trending up
Would you trade Schwellenbach for N. Lowe?
No one on, 2 outs, 1st inning, the threatening Austin Wells on deck. Time to throw a heater middle middle to Judge. Like clockwork. Kind of hard to blame Wheeler. Judge is only hitting .370 against fastballs. That means there was a 63% chance against him!
Haha
Quick Catcher Question:
How’d you rank the following C’s for this week & beyond (12-team, OPS league):
Thank you again!
Rice, Langeliers
thanks again…as always!
No problem
Dynasty league:
Yamamoto + M. Miller or T. Turner + M. King?
Trea
Turner+King and enjoy being prosecuted for grand larceny ;)
Hi Grey,
Whose the drop to activate Bellinger?
Noelvi Marte, Winker or Busch?
Grey,
Can any good come from starting Mitchell Parker @ARI tonight or should I bench him? Probably looking to drop him and add a different SP tomorrow unless he’s amazing tonight to change my mind.
Thanks!
Bench
Vlad or Naylor for a 6×6 roto (AVG & OBP)? Naylor’s Statcast shows he’s underperforming on BA. Jays lineup is horrible, but Vlad seems to be hitting and for same power as Naylor despite his 50% GB%.
Naylor
Please rank?
Kelenic,Friedl,Lux
Lux, Friedl
As I feared, I ended the Varsho hot streak by inserting him into my lineup for the week.
Damn
Rank in a dynasty? $11 Jonathan India, $4 Connor Norby, $7 Matt McLain
Norby, McLain
Thoughts on the following trade proposal:
A) Steer $7, Snell $38
B) CES $4, Brooks Lee $4, Musgrove $25

Dynasty 18 teamer 6×6 Holliday+Painter for Skenes

Grey,
Do you ever think Lucas Erceg last name is backwards, and then realize it looks just as dumb that way too? Lucas Gecre.
He also appears to have some of the giraffe gene Winker has. Or brontosaurus.

A manager need OF help – was going to offer Gurriel and Kutter or Sanchez to try and get either Goldschmidt, Mountcastle or Yandy Diaz?

Offered E. De La Cruz for my J. Naylor and E. Phillips. Redraft league, is there a chance that the Reds shut him down?
hitters don’t get shut down
Do not do this. Love Naylor but down year and hasnt played in a week I think being banged up + personal issues?????
*Correction* GET EDLC
umm, what other time was naylor the 1B number 5 (spent most of the last 2 months at 4th) on player rater as this year, his “down” year. and if the recent amount of days naylor just missed was a week there’s just over 121 weeks in a year. i’d still go EDLC here unless you really don’t need steals or have very terrible 1B options (probably not a fear in a normal sized league)
Would you drop Ranger Suarez for Schwellenbech or G. Williams? Would rather not have to make the move at all but I’ve also got an injured Jul Rod, Tucker, Yelich, Correa, Verlander, and Riley Greene taking up spots on my bench :( running out of team here
Schwellenbach
Anyone else morbidly curious if Balt & Tor can pull off more trades in ?their doubleheader and having players leave middle of the game? Turner just got moved. Kikuchi? Mullins? Kjerstad?
Ha, but they’re not trading with each other
it would be funny if those did happen though, just change jersey in the 6th inning dude.
Hi Grey,
A manager need OF help – was going to offer Gurriel and Kutter or Sanchez to try and get either Goldschmidt, Mountcastle or Yandy Diaz?
thoughts?
thanks so much!!
….what size league? Seems like a massive overpay. None of those hitters are worth Gurriel + SP
I really appreciate you taking the time to help.
In LF, I have either Duran or Profar, therefore Gurriel never gets into the lineup. On the pitching side, I really need to limit my SP since I have to watch my innings. Therefore Crawford or Sanchez is expandable.
at 1B, I have either Nate Lowe or Toglia and was trying to upgrade that position.
any advice would be welcomed!
Thanks again for trying to help!
Hey Grey! You like C. Keith or McNeil better as UTL bat? 16-team OPS keeper league
Keith
CK for sure.
Hi Grey,
I’m in a 10 team league that counts HR, Hld, era, whip, k/9, qs, and nsv.
Drop sims or Megil for Luis garcia (laa)?
Sims
Thank you for all your help
No problem
Why didn’t you tell me back in February that Cal Raleigh would have twice as many HR as Julio Rodriguez on August 1 barring some sort of catastrophic injury? smh
ha
You could have had L. Butler and gotten the same HR. or Bader and gotten roughly the same production per AB. *SAD NOISES*
RIP anyone who started Y. Rodriguez today.
Phew avoided that
SVHLD/Ratios
Please rank top 4 ROS
Erceg, Kopech, Brebbia, Jeremiah Estrada, Ben Joyce, Poche, Robert Garcia(Wash), Jordan Hicks, Derek Law, Weaver
Is Cristopher Sanchez a streamer or hold ROS?
Kopech, Joyce, Estrada, Garcia…hold
Thank you

12 team standard roto – Nimmo or Wood?
Nimmo
@Grey: weekly roto redraft. tovar/stanton for altuve?
Altuve
Looking to move up in K category. Is Kutter and Casas too much for Hunter Greene? Which side would you take?
Sounds good
Sorry…do you mean you would take Greene?
Yes
Would you drop Brooks Lee for Caminero? Have a feeling now with Parades traded they are gonna open up that position for him and will call him up within the next week. I feel like the plan with Morel is to move him to 2nd base and trade Brandon Lowe as well maybe.
Sure
I need to drop someone in a dynasty/keeper league. Who goes? I’m in last place so positionally doesn’t matter, just wondering who here has the lowest value this year/into the future?
Goldschmidt $31, Candelario $7, Vierling $4, Dansby Swanson $20, Starling Marte $10, Jose Siri $4, Joc Pederson $4, Schuemann $4, Ben Lively $4, Civale $7, Morton $12, Jon Gray $12
Thanks!
Morton
@Grey: weekly roto redraft. need to drop one of friedl, cronenworth or river ryan to make room for stanton. who to cut?
Jake
I need to drop one, leaning Rice, what do you recommend among Rice Maikel & Nathaniel Lowe, thank you!
Rice
Saves speculations fishing in the deep end:
10 team standard 5×5 NL only roto league: V. Vodnik or A. Nardi or both or neither for speculative adds in this deep only league as I look for saves?
10 team standard 5×5 AL only roto league: H. Crouse or S. Miller or both or neither for speculative adds in this deep only league as I look for saves?
Vodnik
Miller
Sad his name is Dillon Dingler, and not Dirk.
Sadder still Andy Dirks doesnt still play and we couldnt have Dirks to Dingler.
So close.
So close!
Ah shiz, I was late to the joke.
still good tho!
Hi Grey, I’m thinking about dropping JD Martinez and could use another OF, although doesn’t have to be. Some available guys I’m considering are Austin Hays, Brandon Lowe, Jorge Polanco (assuming this injury isn’t major) and Xavier Edwards. Would you drop Martinez for any of them in a redraft points league that punishes for Ks? How would you rank those guys for ROS? Thanks!
Xavier
SVHLD
Kopech or Ben Joyce?
Joyce
Do you think tommy pham plays every day in stl?
nope
he’ll probably pick a fight or 2 though, got more time likely to get into those.
Are you holding Woo in 12 team roto? He has been good when he pitches, but that’s the issue. He is being babied or gets injured every time he pitches. It is hard to qualify for wins if you are capped at 70 pitches
Nah
Catcher question: Rice or Dingler?
Dingler!
Notably, Dingler is also the preference of Philip Seymour Hoffman.
Haha
Miguel Vargas is free although he is going CHW. LAD is going to miss their best benchwarmer. They still wouldn’t play him with betts, Taylor, freeman, muncy and rojas out.
Do you have any interest in him now in 12 team roto? Good park, playing time, bad team. Thanks
Nah
Flaherty just got scratched. Thanks Mamosdad!
cool
Did Santander belong on the 2nd half top 100? About where would he have slotted in?
I’m working off that list to try to turn my pile of pitchers into a serviceable outfield, and I was thinking Peralta for him seems fair-ish?
Thanks.
maybe around top 80-90
Cool. Thanks.
No problem
Howdy & Happy National Get Gnarly Day!
Sounds like the 3-team trade between LAD/ STL/ CWS seems to follow suit with the gnarly-ness.
Kopech to LAD being one I’m particularly interested in since I’m hurting for saves.
You think he becomes the Closer there?
(12-team, 6×6, OPS/ QS league)
Also, Closer-related, J. Alvarado… blew the save on Friday and promptly got the L yesterday. You still holding in a Saves-only league?
Thanks as always!
Haha…Yes, he could get saves
forget Alvarado
thank you!
My other “closers” listed below. I’m assuming you’d rank Alvarado 3rd of this group? or would you cut someone else ahead of him?
Thanks again
yes, 3rd
Hi Grey: Who would you start this week between Manaea vs Min @home or Littell vs Houston on the road? Thanks!
Manaea
@Grey: weekly roto redraft. cronenworth/a diaz too much to give up for mcmahon? just grabbed fitz for my 2b, but not sure how long that magic will last?
yes, too much
@Grey: sorry one more. weekly roto. if stanton comes off the IL today as suggested, who do you like this week?
stanton – 3 @ phi, 3 vs tor
neto – 3 vs col, 3 vs nym
thanks!
neto
Fedde to St. Louis.
T. Edman to LAD.
nice!
Frown
got it half right.
do we think Jung is getting activated for this week? choosing between starting him or rolling with brendan rogers…
i haven’t heard anything
I’m in a league where I have both JRT and Cardinals Contreras. One C league but been looking to catch up on C ABs
Any reason to keep JTR ? He’s been awful all year
Nope
Drop Hoffman to activate Devin Williams? I have Estevez and I think Hoffman is my only clear drop IF i make the move today. Alternatively, I can wait until tomorrow because I also have Finnegan and Holmes and there’s a chance one or both of them won’t be their teams’ closers at the deadline.
no
Wait until tomorrow and reassess it is. Thanks!
where would Scherzer fit in your Ray, Springs, Kershaw ranking?
3rd
OK Grey, I need your thoughts on Riley Greene for next year and beyond. I am very familiar with your sleeper call on him, but he’s also on Detroit, and the ROS player rater seems to hate him (maybe because of his current minor injury?).
I’m trying to load up on possible keepers for next year since I’m out of it, and I have the opportunity to get Greene and a prospect, and saying seeya to Seiya (there are other pieces to the deal).
Do you see Greene >>> Seiya for next year?
I prefer Riley
Greene has a great hit tool. Issue is health. I believe he had TJ which was odd. Lots of leg issues. Might be a OF/DH type sooner than expected. Hopefully continue power growth.
Hi Grey,
Is Alvarado droppable in a 12 team H2H SVHD league?
I’m benching him and to some degree Phillips for now but I need a drop:
Current RPs are E. Phillips, Alvarado, Finnegan, Megill, C. Green, Pressly, and then I just picked up both L. Soriano and Joyce with the Angels.
Thanks in advance.
yes
@Grey: weekly roto. two questions for this week. who do you like between:
d williams – 3 vs atl, 3 @ was
a diaz – 3 vs chc, 3 vs sf
and what to do with freddie freeman this week? no idea when hes supposed to be back with the team?
freeman – 2 @ sd, 3 @ oak
yepez – 3 @ ari, 3 vs mil (would need to put him in lineup today)
cronenworth – 2 vs las, 3 vs col (could wait until tomorrow to see if there is any news on freeman before deciding)
Thanks!
Devin
i doubt freddie plays…but i have no idea….yepez
Ozuna + Nimmo + J. Ortiz for Wheeler fair in dynasty?

Good Morning Grey,
Below have two questions.
Since I hope that Josh Jung is activated off IL, then I have to cut one player.
C: Willson Contreras with Shea Langliers as back up
1B: Nate Lowe with Michael Toglia and Triston Casas (IL) as back up
2B: Marcus Seimen with Ketel Marte and Luis Rengifo as back ups
3B: Ryan MaMahon with Luis Rengifo and Josh Jung (IL) as back ups
SS: Lindor with Rengifo as backup
LF: Profar with Jarren Duran and Lourdes Gurriel as backups
CF: Jarren Duran with Ceddande Rafaela
RF: Brent Rooker with Rengifo as backups
DH: Ketel Marte
SP: Burnes, Wheeler, Ragans, Stubal, Grayson Rod, and Jack Flaherty
Streamers: Cristopher Sanchez, Kutter Crawford, Nestor Cortes and Spencer Schwenlienbach
note: At catcher, I am minus 22 games since for a while I had one catcher who sat a few games. I am not so sure this is important
1. Who would you drop?
2. Would you pick up River Ryan and then who to drop?
As always. Looking forward to your thoughts.
Thank you so very much!!!.
1. Toglia 2. Nestor
thank you!
No problem
Prolly a really dumb question, but is Bobby Miller worth holding onto at this point? I can’t seem to quit the talent but clearly the Dodgers don’t think he’s figured out his shizz
Nah
Yeah, he just gave up 5 runs in a rehab start and needed 92 pitches to get 11 outs, so that pretty much answers my wuestion
yeah
Please rate ROS:
Skenes
Schwellenbach
Baz
Berrios
River Ryan
Skenes………………..Berrios, Baz
Thanks! I realized after I posted I didn’t need to put Skenes down. Lol.

Asked Couillard this over the weekend, curious as to your take as well:
10-tm AL-only keep 10, interleague trade pickups are must-keep, trying to decide how much to bid on Jazz.
Here’s the situation: I’m in 1st, 2nd place is close behind and then only one other team within 20 pts, I lead the league in 4/5 offensive cats, with SB my weak spot and some easy pts to be gained there. Positionally, MI is my weak spot as well — I’ve been rotating crap there all year. So I have a use for Jazz. Having to keep him is not a big deal as I only have about 8 compelling keepers at this point, though of course the price affects my 2025 competitiveness. I have $51 in FAAB left; 2nd place has a little less, 3rd place has a fair bit more.
Taking into account this year and (to a lesser extent) next, what would your bid be? (Mike’s answer was $1 more than 2nd place’s budget fwiw)
Keep Candelario or Paredes ROS ?
Isaac
Streamer – Baz @ Hou or R. Nelson vs Wash?
I know, neither right? But if you needed to choose?
Ryne
yeah thought so, appreciate you

Hey Grey!
A. Is Ranger droppable in a 12-teamer?
B. Who would you start?
SWR @NYM
Pfaadt @PIT
C. How would you rank: Kopech, Chapman, Nardi, Joyce
A. yes B. neither? Pfaadt if you have to C. Joyce, Aroldis, Nardi
How legit does River Ryan look to you?

Good morning Grey,
In a bit of a roster crunch, wanted your thoughts…
10 team, Yahoo Roto, 5×5, daily lineup changes.
Rice
Steer
X Edwards
Westburg
Bogaerts
IF – Burleson
4 OF – Nimmo, Rooker, Wood, Arozarena
Util – Profar
BN – Schuemann
IL – JuRod
NA – Jr. Caminero
2SP – Bryce Miller, Skenes
2RP – Hader, Suarez
3P – Fairbanks, Trevor Megill, Evan Philips
BN – Lugo, Skubal, Imanaga, Lodolo, Hunter Brown, Burnes, Ray
IL – Springs, Buehler, DeGrom
1) Need to get Springs off the IL, but who is the drop?
Currently leaning at dropping Wood, then rolling without a bench hitter.
Make sense? Or drop someone else? Or lose Springs (which I dont really want to do)
2) Rice, Wells, or Yanier Diaz at C moving forward?
3) LuGar, Vodnik, or Joyce as the best RP for saves? Or any other relievers that might step into the closer role?
Thanks!
1. Schuemann 2. Diaz 3. Garcia
U confident starting Pivetta home vs Seattle?

Josh Naylor buy, sell, hold ROS?
