Another day, another insane Phillies’ starter goes HAM, not as in Taylor or cured honey, but as in HARD AS A MOTHERFUDGER. Only he didn’t say fudger, he said the mother of all curses, and he thought, “If it’s Hard As A, wouldn’t it be HAAM? Then it’s basically HAIM and it’s the best singing sisters since the Andrews girls.” By the way, no one’s called The Andrews Sisters ‘the Andrews girls’ since 1933. So, Zack Wheeler is a Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, as he went 8 IP, 0 ER, 6 hits, zero walks, 10 Ks, ERA at 2.27. Marla Gibbs would be proud. Wheeler’s sitting at 11.4 K/9, 2.1 BB/9, 2.59 xFIP and, at 35 years of age, he’s having his best year, and, for a guy who’s basically been lights-out since 2020, that’s saying something. The ace the Phillies fans were promised in Nola became Wheeler, and no one ever talks about how the Mets just let him go to their most hated division rival. He’s a reminder of when the Mets were a laughingstock. Oh, if you can find another fantasy baseball post that mentions the Andrews Sisters and Marla Gibbs in the same post, I’ll come to your house and wash your car. Anyway, here’s what else I saw yesterday in fantasy baseball:
Bryce Harper – 0-for-2 as he was activated from the IL. Kevin from ESPN’s “Get Him In Your Lineup” Department said, “When I told Crystal in HR, I hate rug munchers, I was talking about carpet beetles, but I apologize however it was taken.”
Nick Castellanos – 1-for-3 and his 10th homer, hitting .282. The Greek God of Hard Contact has very little that pops off the page, but he’s doing a little bit of everything, besides steals, and managed to put himself in the convo for a top 30 outfielder year on the Player Rater. That’s the area of outfielders where you don’t love rostering them all the time, but you also seem like an ingrate if you want to drop them. The “Don’t you know kids are starving in other countries, so eat your vegetables” area of outfielders.
Yu Darvish – Felt great after a 31-pitch bullpen session. Cool, now he needs to throw a simulated game, then a rehab game or three and how’s mid-August sound for his first game back where he throws 4 IP, 3 ER? Sorry, I bought this Magic Eight Ball and may as well use it.
Chase Burns – 1/3 IP, 5 ER, ERA at 13.50. More like Chased early, it Burns. Allow a nerd-out sesh for a minute:
Looks like Burns’ glove wasn’t squeezed for fastballs and was being squeezed for sliders. Not sure if that’s something the Sox were looking at or not.

— Justin (@JustinMLB) June 30, 2025
I don’t know if Chase was tipping his pitches and I don’t know if this tweet is really what the hitters were seeing, but I think when people say a hitter was “tipping pitches,” the first thing that comes to mind is the hitters had a huge advantage and it’s this cheat code. And maybe it is! But can we talk about how insane it is that hitters pick up on this? This is unreal! “Oh, yeah, he was tipping, so it was easy for me, because he was squeezing his glove a bit tighter on sliders, or he was lifting his leg two inches higher on a fastball, and then I was sitting dead-red, pun noted and not avoidable, on a 98 MPH fastball or a 93 MPH slider.” You still have to hit a 93 MPH slider! Or insane fastball! This is so crazy. A guy is tipping his pitches and the batter has time to notice a leg kick slightly higher and prepare for the pitch in a split second. Or he’s just a rookie pitcher and he got beat. Either way, hardest thing in all of sports is hitting a baseball. (Awful segue alert!) But speaking of another sport, if you want to play fantasy football, our RazzBowl signups are under way.
Austin Hays – 2-for-4, 2 runs, 3 RBIs and his 7th homer. He did this to remind everyone he’s off the IL or to mark another trip to the IL. That’s the only two scenarios with him.
Garrett Crochet – 6 IP, 4 ER, 8 baserunners, 9 Ks, ERA at 2.26. Who told him to pitch to the score?
Trevor Story – 2-for-4, 3 RBIs and his 12th homer, hitting .237. Was watching the Red Sox game (mostly because of Burns, but alas) and they mentioned Story had 23 RBIs in June. Ribbies are fluky, especially if you’re a pescatarian, but 23 RBIs in one month is a lot!
Jarren Duran – 1-for-3, 3 runs and his 6th homer, hitting .253. On this week’s pod, BDon and I talk about Duran at length, and about his June struggles, and we managed to ignite him, appizzarently.
Wilyer Abreu – 2-for-5, 5 RBIs and his 15th and 16th homer, 2nd and 3rd homer in three games. His first homer was off La Sorsa, who used to manage the Dosgers.
Jordan Hicks – 1 IP, 0 ER, ERA at 6.34, as he was activated from the IL. No presh, all you have to do is fill-in for Rafael Devers.
Erick Fedde – 5 IP, 7 ER, ERA at 4.56. Fedde whopped!
Andrew Heaney – 6 2/3 IP, 0 ER, 4 baserunners, 7 Ks, ERA at 4.16. Nearly started him but the one thing that stopped me was never in a million years could I ever trust him.
Spencer Horwitz – 2-for-4, 3 RBIs and his 2nd homer, hitting .258. Only two homers, but this is in only 36 games.
Jeremy Pena – Hit the IL with a fractured rib. Astros said it was a really small fracture, “Like the size of Jose Altuve.” They said he might return right when 10 days are up.
Ryne Nelson – 6 2/3 IP, 2 ER, 5 hits, zero walks, 7 Ks, ERA at 3.61. Numbers look almost identical to his previous season when he had a 4.24 ERA in 150 2/3 IP. That glass is half full with yawns.
Eugenio Suarez – 1-for-4 and his 26th homer. Since last All-Star Break, 46 homers for Eugenio. Barry Bonds has zero.
Lourdes Gurriel Jr. – 1-for-4 and his 11th homer. More like Lourdes Gurriel Hr.
Logan Webb – 6 1/3 IP, 3 ER, 8 baserunners, 7 Ks, ERA at 2.61. Without googling, I’m gonna say he leads the majors with Quality Starts. Wow, I just googled it, and I think he does, tied with Wheeler.
Michael Wacha – 5 IP, 5 ER, ERA at 3.62. Wacha failed us, but, more importantly, he failed me. Oh well, I still like him so I’ll let him fail me again.
Randy Arozarena – 2-for-4, 4 RBIs and his 9th and 10th homer. The Rice Bowl arroz from the dead!
Cal Raleigh – 1-for-3, 2 RBIs and his 33rd homer. Imagine if his butt was bigger, he’d have 100’s of homers by now.
George Kirby – 6 IP, 1 ER, 3 hits, zero walks, 5 Ks, ERA at 4.85. An excellent first step, but don’t get too sure of him being all the way back. This was vs. the Royals, a team that is exactly inverse in runs scoring as they are in colonizing.
Tyler Mahle – Diagnosed with a rotator cuff strain and won’t return before the trade deadline. He hurt it dodging the Regression Fairies.
Marcus Semien – 3-for-3, 2 runs, 2 RBIs and his 8th homer. He’s started hitting better of late, but he was hitting 3rd yesterday. In related news, Bochy’s head is huge because it’s inflated with helium.
Adolis Garcia – 2-for-5, 3 RBIs and a slam (10) and legs (8), hitting .225. The sad fall of one of the game’s greats (of three years), who is having a year similar to Grounder Henderson.
Zach Eflin – Hit the IL with “if we made up an injury for you to be IL’d for, it would be more effort than you’ve put in all year.”
Gunnar Henderson – 2-for-5, 2 runs, 4 RBIs and his 10th homer, hitting .277. Was trying to savor Grounder’s 1oth homer, but then I was reminded to how awful Adolis has been and he hit his 10th last night, and Ramon Lauerano (4-for-6, 3 runs, 1 RBI) was hitting .287, which is better than Grounder and I got bummed again.
Colton Cowser – 1-for-6 and his 7th homer, hitting .229. That’s in 26 games. Ya know, a 40+ homer pace.
Trevor Rogers – 5 1/3 IP, 2 ER, 6 baserunners, 5 Ks, ERA at 2.05. Streamonator hates his next one, but, as I said in my last Trevor Rogers fantasy, he’s become addable/startable/otherables.
Shea Langeliers – 1-for-4, 3 RBIs and his 11th homer, as he was activated from the IL. Would be hanging from the Langeliers any chance I could get if I had a worse catcher.
Colby Thomas – 0-for-1 as he was called up from the minors. He’s been ripping the minors up: 17/7/.297 in 310 ABs, but it’s in Vegas where the ball bings and/or bongs even more than in Bing Bong Stadium in Sacramento. Not entirely sure why he was called up, since there’s no place for him to play, which makes me think the A’s might just send him back down. Doesn’t really make sense to start him only vs. lefties, but put “doesn’t make sense for a team to do something” in one hand and “I don’t know” in another hand and you have literally nothing in either hand. How do you put “I don’t know” in a hand? Are you hearing yourself?
Jacob Lopez – 3 1/3 IP, 3 ER, ERA at 3.88. I can’t wait for the 2nd half of the season when the A’s and Rays stop playing in these goofy stadiums. It’s nice for their hitters, but you can’t trust any pitchers in them. Streamonator likes Lopez’s next, but [shrugs] it’s in Bing Bong.
Junior Caminero – 1-for-4, 2 RBIs and his 21st homer. To the tune of Martika’s Toy Soldiers, “Step by step, heart to heart, left, right, we all fall down, like toy cars, Junior Caminero…”
Drew Rasmussen – 3 IP, 4 ER, ERA at 2.78. Welp, is it time to shut down Rasmussen? He has thrown more innings this year than any other year except for one, and that was two or three elbow surgeries ago.
Shane McClanahan – Threw a full-intensity bullpen session, which means he threw the ball, yelled into his glove, scratched himself and spit very hard. If you’re holding out hope for Shane for this year, you should make other plans.
Max Scherzer – 5 IP, 2 ER, 3 hits, zero walks, 7 Ks, ERA at 4.85. Reminds me of what I said for Strider yesterday. Is Scherzer operating with his best stuff? Not close, but he’s getting by because he knows how to pitch.
Cody Bellinger – 1-for-5 and his 12th homer, and 2nd homer in two games. Someone’s getting hotter than the roach clip they cashed and stashed in their road uni.
Jazz Chisholm Jr. – 1-for-3, 2 RBIs and his 14th homer, 2nd homer in two games, 3rd homer in four games, fourth homer in five games. Yankees built a 1960’s music biopic, a guy who looks stoned (Cody), Jazz and a powerful Judge who is not cool at all.
Carlos Rodon – 5 IP, 2 ER, 8 baserunners, 4 Ks, ERA at 2.95. Much like when I couldn’t afford my lease payment, that was a Carloss.
Austin Wells – Dealing with circulation issue in one of his fingers on his left hand. He went to a doctor and ruled out blood clots. He also went to a Jamaican and ruled out bumbaclots.
Dynasty league, I’m rebuilding, would you give up Jacob Degrom/George Springer/ and Walker Jenkins for Chase Burns/ Victor Scott/ and Kevin Alcantara.
Thanks!
Dropping Cade Horton or Taj Bradley for either Chad Patrick or Quinn Proester?
Also I need a Ryan O’Hearn replacement- Spencer Steer and Alec Burleson are available.
Thanks

Cruz

Ober, roupp, tallion, tesla
Tesla?
Don’t want to jinx it, but Baz looks like he’s figured something out the last couple starts. He’s not nibbling nearly as much, and with that confidence he’s getting much better results & keeping his pitch count down.
He’s looked so good at times this year but then has that 1 bad inning that blew him up. Let’s hope he can keep it up, because when he’s on he’s money.
He does!
Yep, jinxed it. Middle middle fastball with 2 outs. Wtf dude.
To be fair it only went 376’, kind of a cheapy.
Yup!
Grey
Scherzer now complaining of forearm fatigue
Gonna dump him.

I’d look at matchups…EdRod, Gio, Roupp
I forgot to cancel a claim for Volpe and ended up with him on my bench this morning. Ha! I already own Swanson at SS.
Is Volpe worth holding or should I look for a hot bat? I could drop him and stash Langford…
Nah, drop him
Please rank Top 3: Evan Carter; Jake Myers; Brooks Lee; Mike Stanton; Caleb Durbin?

Ha, indeed
Kelly or Langeliers ROS?
Thanks!

I am still trying to acquire Soto. His pitching is brutal so thinking my revised offer(s) would be in this order:
1. Yamamoto and N Lowe
2. Yamamoto and Xavier
3. Yamamoto, Lowe and Xavier
4. Yamamoto and Donovan
4. Yamamoto and Misi
My backfills off the wire would be from Royce, Durbin, McNeil and Shelby at RP if #3 taken
Do you agree or ??
Sure, that works

Agustin
Week 15, drop TRogers v Miami for two step Singer v Miami v Colorado?
Yes
How do you rank these 3 pitchers ros: chase burns, cameron, giolito.
Burns, Gio
Ughh… these rainouts killin my starting lineup. Looks like I need to cut a SP to backfill a bat.
Full roster below – 6×6 (OPS/QS). Who gets the boot? My initial through is Eury but he gets MIN on 7/3 and SON loves that matchup.
What say you?
C: William Contreras
1B: Goldy
2B: K. Marte
3B: Bohm
SS: Corey Seager
IF: Gleybar
OF: Soto, Tatis, Happ
UTL: Heliot Ramos, Willy Adames

Oh, and Happy Bobby Bonilla Day too!
Lose Eury — Haha, thanks!
Thank you.
Now 3 games (and 5 of my bats) PPD. Would you cut a 2nd SP to get another bat for tonight?
thanks again
Nah
Hey Grey, I’m pondering trading Riley Greene as I see his name come up in various discussions about regression (I think you listed him as a sell recently). Would it be too risky to offer him up for Langford when he comes off the IL? Heard you talking about him today on the pod, and it sounds like you guys worry about his injury history. If not Langford, what kind of hitter do you think I should be targeting in return?
I’m doing very well right now in HR/RBIs, and I’m way out front in Runs, but lagging a bit in SBs.
I’d take Langford, but a bit risky since he’s on IL…How about Oneil Cruz? Butler? Cody B?
12 team, weekly. Westburg or Steer?
West
Apparently, Austin Wells injury is a result of catching pitches. Um.. (walks out into traffic) kay?
Haha
Hey Grey, is Chris sale enough to aquire Roman or Langford in a dynasty? And who’s the better target of the two for the long term?
Thanks Grey!
Seems like plenty
What’s up Grey!
We have to start a rookie in our league, and while I’ve been waiting for Dylan Crews to come back, I’ve been starting Augustin Ramirez as a rookie, while starting Hunter Goodman and Tyler Stephenson at Catcher.
Would I be better off with Ramirez and Goodman starting at C, and Isaac Collins at rookie? He’s available on the wire, and I’d only have to drop Gavin Lux.
No
I need to add an OF due to injury. Canzone or Evan Carter?
Carter
Happy Canada Day Grey!
We start 3 RPs in our league, and right now I’ve got the following:
Bautista
Suarez
Pagan
Vest
Kahnle
Would you drop any of them to speculate on either Jason Adam or Randy Rodriguez?
Grant Taylor available too, but White Sux
Thanks, Skeezix, eh! Kahnle for Randy
14 h2h category with OBP and TB
Hold Correa or drop for Otto or Gorman? Thanks!
Correa’s been good recently…Lopez has been better tho
any insight on mitch keller to the cubs ? i just traded for keller last night in hopes it happens.
Nope
Which side – Westburg for Kodai?
I need SP.
Sounds fair, take Kodai
Lauer or corbin last spot on roster deep 16 team league
who would your dog drop Grey – I will get rid of other soon
Lauer
then I will keep Corbin Carroll
Burns is the 3rd guy I have who “tipped”. I cant stand pitching stats. It is so hard to improve, it takes forever after the innings start to pile up. It only takes one or two terrible starts to destroy your ratios again
I know, it’s brutal
Dynasty pts league 40 man rosters $400 budget, when healthy could you rank
Tovar $10
Winn $4
Colt Keith $6
When I’m healthy?
Tovar, Winn
Haha! Tovar, if he ever gets off IL, thanks!
No problem
Starting Boyd at home vs cleveland ?
Sure
The warriors of the cuyahoga stink against lefties.
Thanks Garvin mp
Grey, wouldn’t mind having some insurance in case Riley Ks himself into oblivion down the stretch….I feel like offering up Profar for Royce Lewis and maybe I can get a healthy month out of him this September…My OF is Acuna, Yelich, Trout, Jrod with Yordan lookin on IL and Roman and Sheets on the bench…so I have depth there. Riley is my only 3B.
*looming on IL
Sure
Thank you.
No problem
I have both Mayo and House in minor league spots currently. Who should I “promote” first to the active roster?
House
Afternoon & Happy ZIP Code Day!
What’s your favorite ZIP code (can’t say 90210)? Mine is 80085, which is of course, my hometown of Springfield!
Anyway, do we like 44115 (CLE – Gavin Williams) today @ 60613 (CHC)?
Different league, are either Hayden Birdsong @ AZ or Emerson Hancock vs. KC
thank you kind sir!
Haha, nice! I don’t trust Gavin….I don’t trust these other SPs either
thank you.
I sorta figured the same but like to get your input.
On a side note, would you drop any of: Dansby Swanson, Nico Hoerner, or Xavier Edwards for the below (recently cut) bats:
Marcus Semien
Jordan Westburg (on waivers till tomorrow)
Matt McLain
Thanks again!
Nico for West if you don’t need speed
thanks again (again)!
No problem No problem
Hi Grey,
Thanks for telling me to pick up Brendon Lowe and for sticking with Yelich.
At 1B, I have Naylor who is DTD and Ben Rice who is struggling.
1. Would you keep Rice?
2. If the answer is no, who would you between
Spencer Steer
Nolan Schanuel
Josh Smith
Thanks!!
1. Steer
Would you drop Yanier Diaz for Langaliers?
Yes
I currently find myself in second by around 15 pts. in a very shallow league I play in. I am losing to a rosterbating dufus. He does not understand platoon splits. I can’t tell how many times he picks up a lefty bat with heavy platoon splits facing a lefty, only for it not to be in the lineup. Then, he picks up a guy that hits a 3-R homer. Or he leaves it in and they have a great day at the dish. He frequently struggles with what a good matchup is. He has successfully targeted Paul Skenes several times. He has batty called around 50 Homeruns, no exaggeration, this year. I checked the hittertron total value of his 6 batty calls on a recent Monday and it was $0.2. That produced $1400 in value. That type of outcome has happened numerous time this year. Either this shmendrik has knowledge that outstrips any projection model and conventional wisdom, or he is simply the luckiest SOB that I’ve encountered in 15+ years of daily leagues.
Oh, and if I sound a bit negative on the guy, he spent the first couple months essentially stalking my team and sending me numerous DM’s through our league site’s app the moment something would go wrong with my players until I had to shut off my notifications and politely told him to bugger off. It’s like someone decided to construct the most annoying fantasy opponent ever by mixing Mike Matheny with an ignorant and arrogant jerkwad.
HAHA, damn
Dang! Not sure why Matheny had to be brought in! Also, as a rosterbating doofus myself, I resemble that remark!;)
Hey to the Hey!
Soooo, we all got Burns, huh? Are we holding now?
Also, what do you think about Ed Cab v MIN and Joe Ryan (8.5) tonight? I sort of feel like it’s likely to be both a solid start and a loss.
Lurrrrrrves!!
Yeah, hold
I’d start Ryan
lurves!
Weeeeerd. I was actually asking about starting Cabrera against Ryan and that’s who the bot gives a 8.5. Lurrrrrve
Is it home? Sounds fine
Morning glory!
Mclain or Gleybor?
Crystal ball- What can we expect from Soroka in 2nd half?
Junior.. he’s just getting his bearings in the bigs, easy power on a 40 dinger pace, doesn’t K a ton, hitting for average.. He’s gonna be somebody, no palookaville for this kid.
spanks!
McLain
A streamer
Haha

Trade question
Are Misiorowski and Trout too much for Acuña?
Thanks
No
Alec Burelson, Jac Cags or Addison Barger?
5×5 OBP
Alec
Was listening to the podcast. Would trade altuve/sale/jasson dominguez for oneil cruz/burns/anthony?
Always appreciate the content
Nope
Catcher problems… who should I pick up, Gary Sanchez or Carlos Narvaez?
Narvaez
Christian Walker…cooked? :(
Yes
Have to drop a hitter to activate Harper in a 12 team H2H (keeper). Burleson or Barger? Thanks!
Barger
Also need a C to replace Goodman for the week. Can you pick top two from:
Teel, Garver, Jansen, Caratini, Fry, Haase…
TY
Jansen
I currently have a bench bat which is not my style so hunting a deal. I have a few guys that are eligible at multiple positions so interested in what you would do. 12 teamer, H2H, fourth place but statistically tied for first so confident in the squad and hoping the randomness of H2H finds a balance.
A Ramirez C and 1B (nice replacement for Ivan)
Vlad, Machado and Harper at CI. Nervous about Bryce’s wrist. Unsuccessfully tried to move him for Julio.
Lindor, B Lowe, Xavier at MI – Donovan has 2B status so an option here
Tucker, Teoscar, O Cruz, Bux, Donovan – play 5 OF in our league
N Lowe or Cowser at Utility. Grabbed Lowe when Harper went down and have enjoyed him. 54 RBI is welcomed. Cowser seems like Ward with a ton of HRs as you pointed out.
IL – Ivan
Starting pitchers are Crochet, Wheeler, Yamamoto, Ranger, Bibee,Misi, Kershaw, Sheehan.
Relievers are Bautista and Vest so kinda thin there now since I traded away Estevez yesterday. Shelby on the wire.
1. Which bat would you move off of or would you just hold for now?
2. I have a ton of SPs. My sense is I could move a starter and a bat for a better bat or for a bat and a closer. Agree or am I off base – hehe – here?
Thanks for reading my novel
1. Lowe 2. Agree
Helpful. Thank you. I was debating moving off Lowe or perhaps Xavier since I can move Donovan to 2B.
No problem
Need a fill-in for Hunter Goodman.
Carson Kelly
Tyler Stephenson
Carlos Narvaez
doesn’t matter, it’s a catcher! :-)
Narvaez
Hola Grey. Grade this trade proposal in a 12T OBP 5×5 roto league please?
Team A gets: Julio Rodriguez, Yusei Kikuchi
Team B gets: George Kirby, Jhoan Duran
A
Started Burns and my team ERA is 135.00. Ha!
Haha, still early!
Based on Tucker last year and Yordan this year, when the Astros say Pena could be back in 10 days that translates to September.
HA
would you drop Soderstrom for Austin Hays
10 team league
Sure
Nice AC reference, you really just took this whole thing to another level. Brodie Van Wagoner said about Wheeler something like, “he put 2 good halves together in separate years and got 100M”. Mets traded Beltran at the deadline for Wheeler, and did all the heavy lifting with him. Put up with lot of downs, before he figured it out. When he was clearly a finished product, and he said he wanted to stay a Met for life. The Wilpons said Ha! You’ll do no such thing.
Ha, exactly
In a vacuum OPS, QS league: Cal Raleigh or Skenes?
Skenes
Thought for sure you would say Cal
Long live Cal
Offered Mookie Betts for Hunter Brown. I have OK SP, but Brown’s my best
No. no. no. no. no.
Bizarre downvotes.
Brown
Thanks. As it turned out, the offerer traded Bettes to another team for Strider before I had time to think
Gotcha
A top 5 SP right now for a guy hitting .250 with 9HR and 6SB at a deep position.
Unless you have some funky scoring, you are better off with Brown.
Rudy with an all-time title this morning.
haha
“I can’t wait for the 2nd half of the season when the A’s and Rays stop playing in these goofy stadiums”.
A’s are Sacramento until 2028. Rays are in Steinbrenner until next season. What am I missing here?
I thought they were supposed to have all their home games early in the season to avoid weather. You are right though, TB only seems to be +10 home games and A’s are about even.
I believe the Rays (Im guessing As too) had a heavily front loaded home schedule and now are going to have a lot of road trips.
Rays have played 15-20 more home than away games.
‘Rays have played 15-20 more home games’ – where are you getting that number? Unless they have been listed away at home, they’ve played 51 home games (+8 over .500) and A’s 42 home games (2 under .500).
The Rays have an away record of 20-14…..which is 34 games.
51 home games.
34 away games.
Thus, “Rays have played 15-20 more home games”.
Ah got it. I meant they played 34 away games but would only be at 42 by now. So they only played 8 more at home than a normal schedule.
Due to the weather, they front-filled their home games
Interesting. It did seem like they were always at home. (Suddenly questioning my Caminero and Kurtz shares.)
They can hit it out of anywhere
Would you drop Yanier Diaz for Agustin Ramirez? 12 team H2H categories

Hey Grey! “You’ll start your Castellanos and enjoy his 1 for 4 with an RBI! Don’t you know that kids in Moldova have Luke Raley as their number one outfielder?”
Haha
You’re welcome for Gunner. I benched him for the week. So more HR’s to come!
Thanks!
It’s only good for this week. He’ll suck again when I put him in next week.
Haha
I was really hoping for better results from JacoLope last night. 12 team, droppable for Bello or Kremer this week.
The pickins be slim , and that next one is in Bing Bong for Lopez has me nervous.
Meh
Is Albies droppable? Guy’s been such a dog. If so, would you drop for either C Rafaela or Otto Lopez?
Yes, Lopez
Never underestimate a pitcher who can pitch their way out of Pirates organization. Heaney knows a trade is looming if he can attract suitors. You will be hard pressed to find a pitcher with more inspiration than Andrew for the next 3-4 weeks
Skenes and Cruz must be green with envy. Not gonna defend Cruz’s lollygagging, but would love to see him on a roster with something to play for in an organization that wasn’t shamelessly corrupt.
You gotta commend them on their handling of Bubba Chandler. Completely merit based, and with the team’s best interest in mind. Have you seen Mlodzinski’s hair bro? It’s very piratey, and clearly a more team focused SP. get it together Bubba, get an eye patch already

Great stuff, Vin! Crazy
I had 3 of the top 15 last week. Sonny, Pivetta and Priester. Sonny has 4 on the list too. Pivetta 3. Pretty cool stuff, thanks for posting it.
Phillies had some kind of June
14 team h2h league, SV, HLDS. Currently 2nd place.
Trade question. My current RP: Adams, Hoffman, Suarez, Hader, Tyler Rogers.
Not feeling confident Suarez or Hoffman will be closing ros. Was offerered Mason Miller for my Maikel Garcia.
Only other 2B eligible player I have is Jazz, and I don’t trust his health. Maikel been solid all year for me too.
No 2bs on waivers worth noting.
Hold or make the deal?
Thank you
You don’t need Miller
Grey!!!!
Awesome!
Rodney Dangerfield quote of the day for July 1, 2025 (Special Canada Day edition)
Rodney was playing in Toronto, Canada at Massey Hall, an old building. As he was performing, people in the back were yelling, ‘Speak louder, we can’t hear you!’, so he spoke softer. Again they were asking for Rodney to speak louder and again he spoke softer. One guy yells out, ‘Why in hell did you come to Toronto anyway?’ Rodney responded, ‘I lost a bet.’”
Cheers,
Ante
I spit my coffee all over my screen! lololololol
Thanks!
I’m going against the last place team in a league who’s given up. He has Max Scherzer and Andrew Heaney on his starting lineup. Lol.
I have Burns and Wacha LOL. What? I mean, what?

Would you cut Wacha to pick up Nelson?
Nelson is home vs KC
Wacha is on the road at AZ
Thanks!!
Sure
The Astros medical staff diagnosis and disclosure on injuries is exemplary. Pena with a fracture means we may not see him until after All Star break. That’s the 2026 all star break. They already are calling it a fracture. I mean Alvarez was was thought to have inflammation or a strain. He was day to day for at least 2 months before it was diagnosed as a fracture. I can’t forget about Kyle Tucker’s “contusion” last year. I am sure he had a bruise, but it was changed to a fracture. He missed half of the season.
To be faiiiiiiiiiiir
they missed it completely the first time in Astros fashion
AND
they are calling it a “small” fracture which as you mentioned, means it is catastrophic and he will be the first human to undergo a rib cage replacement
Thanks!
I sometimes wish if that is all of baseball!
I read it this morning and sighed
“Peña was hit with a pitch in the ribs by Cubs rookie Cade Horton this past Friday. He exited the game, but initial x-rays came back negative. Peña was out of the lineup both Saturday and Sunday, and he was clearly still feeling discomfort, as the Astros indicated that follow-up MRI and CT scans were performed, which revealed the fracture.”
“You are fine.”
“I cant breathe.”
“It is the pollen.”
“I still cant.”
“Fine. We will take you to doc. Big baby.”
HA
And now a Yordan Alvarez setback. Going to see a specialist. You got to give them credit. They continue to reach another level just when you thought it wasn’t possible
Incredible
I traded Misiorowski for Michael Harris did I fuck up?
Big time
Mostly by calling it out.
Ouchies.
My thinking was in a H2H the brewers may limit his innings in September for the playoffs but really it was a hunch that Harris could respond to a couple days off and working on his mechanics with the batting coach.
Hopefully not
Looking to drop one of these players to activate Harper from the IL. Who would you drop? Mostly just holding these at the end of my roster for upside.

Isaac Collins

In regards to the tipping pitches, I have a hard time believing it was something like that on a guy theyve barely seen. Simply because it is hard to tell the variance of what is high or a bad mechanics.
Id think it is some kind of mannerism and perhaps from the stretch. First thing that came to mind was this from a couple years ago.

WACHA FAILED US ALL!
No Kerry Bonds. No Barry Bonds. What is this world coming to?!?!
Nelson got robbed. 88 pitches, got the 2nd out AFTER an infield single to his SS. They give him the hook and his reliever first pitch meatballs it. That pen sucks.
Yeah, that’s true…Hopefully Kerry’s healthy
Benched Burns like a genius. Started Lopez like a guy that needed some ERA demolition.
