Phils decided to take their whoops, put them in a can of ass and unleash the whoop ass on the O’s. Leading the charge was Kyle Schwarber (3-for-5, 6 RBIs, and his 39th and 40th homer), who I’d like to take a moment to appreciate because I’ve never done that before. He reminds me of Adrian Beltre. I’m going back a ways here, but Beltre was not a Hall of Famer when he was on the Dodgers. He was barely a starter some years. He had this weird thing with the “Don’t tap his head.” That was about it. OCD that became HOF, as he played a lot and accumulated numbers. Schwarber feels like he could do the same. If he gets to 500 HRs, he’s not a HOFer? I’d be shocked. That’s three more 40-homer seasons, and no end appears in sight. Speaking of HOFers, Bryce Harper (1-for-4) hit his 17th homer. I give Gunnar a lot of crap (rightfully), but Bryce has been awful too. Okay, not awful, but underwhelming and underwhelming is carrying so much there that underwhelming is screaming for a spotter. Next up, Harrison Bader (1-for-4, 3 RBIs) hit his 13th homer. Figures, the one guy I didn’t go after in my NL-Only FAAB bidding because it looked like the move to the Phils meant less playing time. It still does, but he could easily out-hit Marsh, and become the favorite in center. Can’t out-beard Marsh though. Next up! Weston Wilson (2-for-4, 2 runs, 2 RBIs) hit his 2nd homer and when WW’s homering, you should get two dubyas. Finally, Edmundo Sosa (3-for-4, 3 runs) hit his 5th homer, 2nd homer in a week. Edmundo means Ed World, and we’re just living in it! Anyway, here’s what else I saw yesterday in fantasy baseball:
Jesus Luzardo – 6 IP, 3 ER, 5 hits, zero walks, 7 Ks, ERA at 4.32. Jesus: He gets us (thinking he’s going to blow up with each pitch).
Grayson Rodriguez – Will have surgery now. After he wasted what, four months? Ridiculous. I know having surgery is scary, but each team needs to have a Big Boy Pants Guy. His job is to do nothing but tell players to put on their Big Boy Pants. I can do that job, if they’re paying. Actually, who are we fooling, I’ll do it for free. Do I get free seats for games? No? Okay, whatever, I’m the Big Boy Pants Guy, I can handle it!
Corbin Martin – 0 IP, 6 ER, ERA at 7.56. How’d that whole “Grabbing Corbin Martin for saves” thing work? [ducks out of the way of a flying computer] I didn’t say pick him up, geez!
Tyler O’Neill – 1-for-3, 2 RBIs and his 8th homer. Tyler O’Neill has five homers in a week’s worth of games–hot schmotato alert–but that’s in about ten days because O’Neill can’t stay on the field.
Jordan Westburg – 1-for-4 and his 13th homer. He has the same number of homers as Gunnar. Emoji that laughs until it cries.
Austin Riley – Hit the IL with an ab strain. Finally a bit of good news for his owners.
Grant Holmes – Opted to not have surgery, and will rehab instead. “Hello, this is the Dept. of Big Boy Pants. No, I don’t need to be booked in advance. I’m ready at a moment’s notice! I’m wearing Big Boy Pants!”
Jurickson Profar – 1-for-2 and his 4th homer. Seeing he has four homers and is hitting around .240 puts things in perspective. That perspective: Why the hell do I have him in a league?!
Quinn Priester – 7 IP, 1 ER, 4 baserunners, 4 Ks, ERA at 3.15. Next year, draft only Brewers starters. Reap dem rewards!
Isaac Collins – 1-for-2, 3 RBIs and his 7th homer, hitting .281. Nearly benched Teoscar for Collins last night, and I should’ve. Sonavabench!
Ryan Jeffers – 1-for-4 and his 8th homer. The Jeffers’ on hot got me wheezy!
Travis Adams – 5 IP, 2 ER, 4 hits, zero walks, 7 Ks, ERA at 6.75. Adams threw against the Tigers, who I anecdotally refer to as the worst-best team. It’s gonna be hilarious when the Tigers get to the playoffs and a national audience is like, “Is their leadoff hitter really a .250 hitter with no power and speed?” Yeah, and he’s one of their better hitters. Wait until you get to The Dingler. He does like to get in the dirt though. Dirt Dingler’s place to flex his manhood and show He’s Got The Touch! Any hoo! Adams started for the Twins, and looks like a 4.50+ ERA pitcher, so iffy for AL-Only.
Trevor Larnach – 1-for-3 and his 14th homer. He was hitting sixth in front of Roden. Makes ya think.
Matt Wallner – 1-for-2 and his 15th homer, and 3rd homer in a week. One good thing to the Twins rolling out there a scarecrow with a Twins’ jersey in left and a made-up name in center is they don’t have a way to get Wallner out of the lineup. Or shouldn’t at least.
Wenceel Perez – 1-for-2, 2 RBIs and his 9th homer, 2nd homer in four games and is towards top of the 7-day Player Rater. Hot schmotato alert!
Dillon Dingler – 1-for-3 and his 10th homer. The darker the berry, the sweeter the hanging Dingler!
Kerry Carpenter – 2-for-4, 2 RBIs and his 19th homer. Imagine if he could hit lefties.
Justin Verlander – 5 IP, 0 ER, 4 baserunners, 4 Ks, ERA at 4.29. He’s tossed three straight [trying not to say Quality because they’re not Quality Starts] uhh, solid starts! Streamonator actually likes his next one, and I don’t trust him, but there ya go.
Randy Rodriguez – 2/3 IP, 2 ER, ERA at 1.54, and the blown save. Meh, who else ya got, Giants? I kid. I think. Randy-Rod is still likely to get next save, but Ryan Walker might only be one more blown save away from getting a chance.
Jack Suwinski – 1-for-3, 2 RBIs and a slam (2) and legs (6). He’s hitting .113. [howling at the moon for two hours but making woof woof noises]
Aaron Judge – Supposed to return today. Naturally, they can’t win without him.
Kenta Maeda – Signed with the Yankees. Season saved.
Giancarlo Stanton – 1-for-3, 2 RBIs and his 10th homer, in, like, two weeks. Ya gotta admit he can’t do much, but he can still hit homers. You don’t have to admit it! I didn’t say Simon says! Gotcha!
Paul Goldschmidt – 3-for-5, 3 runs and his 9th homer. Au Shizz!
Max Fried – 5 IP, 4 ER, 11 baserunners, 7 Ks, ERA at 2.78. Damn, that’s too bad! I’m a big fan of Fried! [licks popsicle without a care in the world] Shucks, boo hoo!
Devin Williams – 1 IP, 1 ER, and the blown save, ERA at 5.10. Yeah, he couldn’t close out the Rangers. Sure, sure, but he was going against Joc Pederson (1-for-1, 3rd homer, hitting .132) who retired last year but kept showing up this year.
Jake Bird – 2/3 IP, 2 ER, ERA at 5.53. If I were Aaron Boone, I’d keep running Jake Bird out there too. “Can’t fire me, I’m playing the guys you acquired!”
Josh Jung – 2-for-4, 2 runs, 3 RBIs and his 11th homer, 2nd homer in four games. Jung man! You don’t need to be rude…I said Jung man!
Dansby Swanson – 1-for-3, 2 RBIs and his 17th homer. Cool, now for something irrelevant: Counsell started Justin Turner (0-for-1) yesterday because he hit a pinch-hit homer, which is so incredibly dumb.
Michael Soroka – 2 IP, 1 ER, ERA at 4.86 vs. Nick Lodolo – 1 2/3 IP, 0 ER, ERA at 3.05. And they both left with injuries. Soroka’s was shoulder discomfort and Lodolo’s was a blister. Clearly, Soroka’s sounds worse, and he’s headed to the IL. This is a reminder that pitching should not be a part of baseball, it induces too many injuries. Hit off of tees for the woke!
Jo Adell – 1-for-4, 2 RBIs and his 22nd homer. He was sitting between Yoan Moncada and Travis d’Arnaud in the lineup, which feels less like a lineup and more like an Immaculate Grid flex.
Yusei Kikuchi – 6 IP, 1 ER, 6 baserunners, 7 Ks, ERA at 3.22. Credit where credit is due, Yusei has managed to go to the Angels and not become awful, being infected by the poison in the organization’s water.
Tyler Locklear – 1-for-4 and his 1st homer. Kinda surprised at how little noise has been made about him taking over 1st for the DBags. He went 19/18/.316 in Triple-A this year, as a 24-year-old, i.e., not Quad-A, just solid.
Brandon Pfaadt – 5 2/3 IP, 2 ER, 8 baserunners, 4 Ks, ERA at 5.02. He gave up 7 ER in his last start. You can’t trust that.
Sean Manaea – 5 2/3 IP, 5 ER, ERA at 3.52. I blame the chicken and Jimmy Nardello peppers. See, Manaea was pitching well, then I went to make dinner and returned to this. I stopped focusing, and so did he. Effin’ Jimmy Nardello! If you don’t know Jimmy Nardello peppers, they’re in-season for roughly 72 hours and they’re delicious. Anyway, I still like Manaea, but Nardello happens.
Pete Alonso – 4-for-5, 4 RBIs and his 25th homer, hitting .266. Albombso!
Slade Cecconi – 6 IP, 2 ER, 5 baserunners, 6 Ks, ERA at 3.72. His peripherals read like a solid, if unspectacular streamer, so check the Streamonator. Thanks for joining this week on the Slade Gabfest.
Gabriel Arias – 1-for-4, 4 RBIs and his 8th homer. You might remember Arias from “Wow, is he breaking out?” around three weeks into April. No, no he was not.
Roman Anthony – Scratched with mid-back tightness. This year has been a Roman 50, i.e., an L.
Jarren Duran – 1-for-4, 3 RBIs and his 12th homer, as he hit 7th, which made one eye fall out of my head. Alex Cora hates Duran, Duran’s fantasy value has Come Undone?
Brayan Bello – 6 IP, 0 ER, 7 baserunners, 5 Ks, ERA at 3.03. Told you to grab him about six weeks ago. He’s had an ERA under 3 for about two months.
Bailey Falter – 4 IP, 7 ER, ERA at 4.14. C’mon, man! You can’t go to the Royals and get worse, you’re ruining my confirmation bias about Royals’ pitching coaches.
Vinnie Pasquantino – 1-for-5 and his 19th homer. Ay yo it’s Vinnie Pasketti! Watch me twirl the bat like a forkful of pasketti!
Maikel Garcia – 2-for-5 and his 11th homer. He hits cleanup and Duran is hitting 7th, and people think Spring Training lineups matter.
Bo Bichette – 3-for-6, 6 RBIs and his 14th and 15th homer. Also, in this game, Ernie Clement went 5-for-6, 3 runs, 1 RBI. It’s free money starting opposing hitters in Coors, and I’m not above taking free money.
Eric Lauer – 6 IP, 1 ER, 8 baserunners, 4 Ks, ERA at 2.59. It’s pretty amazing how good Coors park still is for hitting, just not for the Rockies.
Sonny Gray – 7 IP, 1 ER, 1 hit, 1 walk, 8 Ks, ERA at 4.21. He’s just f**king with us now, right? That’s what’s going on, right? Just an old fashioned case of buggery, right?
Masyn Winn – 1-for-3 and his 8th homer. He had one homer since May 14th. No wonder I forgot he existed.
Ivan Herrera – 2-for-4 and a slam (10) and legs (4), hitting .310. Herrera’s gonna be a top five catcher next year, if he gets catcher eligibility. The latter doesn’t seem guaranteed in some leagues.
Freddie Freeman – 1-for-4 and his 13th homer. At least his home run total isn’t openly mocking Gunnar Henderson. Thank you, Freeman.
Max Muncy – 0-for-3 as he was activated from the IL. That’s not Ma’s Muncy, that’s OG Muncy. I know that because I studied Muncies in college. Tommy Edman went to the IL to make room for Muncy. That’s Muncy 101!
Sandy Alcantara – 7 IP, 6 ER, ERA at 6.44. With the trade deadline passed, Sandy can pitch with no pressure. Just free, and easy, and terrible. Mostly the last thing.
Jason Alexander – 6 IP, 0 ER, 4 baserunners, 6 Ks, ERA at 5.97. He’s not usually good, but it was Opposite Night!
Isaac Paredes – Will not have surgery, and will rest and rehab. “Hello? I see, I see. Hamstring surgery, huh? Okay, I’ll be there by 2 AM tonight. I can wait until tomorrow to fly in? No, I’m the Big Boy Pants Guy, I don’t need to wait, I have my Big Boy Pants on!”
Sadly have to drop one of Colson, Warming or Keaschell. Who will I miss?
Interoffice Rockies memo: Warren Schaeffer – go buy the most expensive pitching machine available, throw a jersey on it…and trot that out there over your collection of SPs. They’re just awful.
Shohei the pitcher worth a grab in a 12-team QS league?
Who to drop?
Laureano, Stanton, Max Muncy (LA), Ward, or Stowers?
Muncy
Severino! Enjoy that free room at the W, big man. Your work here is done.
Haha
Nestor or Arriguetti?
Arrighetti
MacKenzie Gore turning into Jesus Luzardo before our very eyes has been one hell of a transformation. His era was 2.89 on Jun 15.
Haha, I know
F!!!
Ugh
Got bit by the injury bug and need to make room (3 IL). Need to drop at least one out of Yordan, Aranda, Lodolo, Bieber, and Tanner Scott?
All of them? I guess Aranda
Wenceal Perez or Keaschall.
btw I am amazed how well you do with the spelling of player names.
Keaschall
ha, thanks!
12 team ROS: Correa or Keashell?
Keaschall
Bad options for 3B
Pick one to plug in
House,Toro,Schneeman,Arcia?
Schneemann
Can’t believe Judge intentionally turned into a DH so he won’t have to catch pop-ups in October
A small price to pay to avoid ridicule
Hi Grey,
Good afternoon.

thanks!
Sure, but doesn’t feel very big
Beck, Doyle, Friedl, or Hays?!
Beck
Shaw, Keaschall, or L Sosa?
Keaschall
ROS robot has Schwellenbach at #54, over Manaeaeaeae, Max, Baz, Ras, etc. Might need a tweak.
Is it from this day forward or more like overall end of season expectations?
Ok
Let me try to be more clear – Are the ROS rankings from this day forward, or are they predicting what the overall rankings will be at the end of 162 games? Thanks.
from this day forward
thanks
No problem
1. Two day loaner: Collins at Braves (Wentz, Strider) or Polanco home vs CWS (Martin, Cannon). Hits of any kind needed. Less emphasis on power and SBs.
2. Longer term: Collins or Polanco
1. Collins 2. Collins
Nice call
Drop Arraez and add Keaschall in 16-team OPS keeper? Needing 2B help.
Sure
Trade offer. It’s a 10 team OBP, saves only keeper league. There is some keeper consideration, but which side for this year only
Cedric Mullins, Christian Yelich, Ryan Pepiot, Brady Singer
or
Slade Cecconi, Freddy Peralta, Camilo Doval, Hunter Gaddis
Yelich
Dynasty Roto Cats
10 teams
Currently 3rd
A)Shota, R Greene, Quintero, Alcanta for Abbott, B Miller, K Campbell, Jazz, Late 1st
B)Shota, R Greene, Quintero for Campbell, Made, Jazz, Late 1st

I have the Jazz side….. like any of these or keep Jazz?
Thanks
A. Jazz B. Jazz d. Jazz
Ros, 10 man redraft yahoo points.

For 2B
Thanks boss
Or else there is Matt McLain or Otto Lopez.
Ceddanne
Ceddanne
schwellenbach and woodruff even?
One is out for the season, so no
Reports out there the NYY could’ve had Mason Miller under team control for 4 years for a package of S Jones and others .. if true and the NYY wouldn’t do it Cashman should be fired … while Jones just keeps playing triple A ball … bring him up if you aren’t going to trade him … now I feel better
Agreed
Sir Grey-Meister,
Thank you for wearing your, Master Fantasy Lothario, Big Boy Pants. Watch out for the dark Dingler’s:).
a) Wow, Yahoo doesn’t have a picture for T Adams. Would he be better than Zebby?
b) Any thoughts about Atlanta bringing Acuna back at all?
c) There is no C
d) Is Jung just a schmato?
Thank you for the daily smiles but most importantly the insider trade information that only you could provide, maybe that’s why Itch is always trying to hurt you:)?
Happy Tuesday,
CCC
Haha…A. No B. When is he due back? I don’t know D. Seems it — No problem, I know, sigh, Itch!
Thanks re Vlad advice below. Another one in a keeper (keep 8) pts lg (W=10): I’m in 2nd place.
Was offered Joe Ryan (free agent) and Josh Smith for Jordan Lawlar (can be kept two more years at 18th rd value) and Zebby Matthews (2 yrs at 18th round).
Question is too much youth/keeper potential to give up for 2 months of starts?
Current rotation: Skubal, Crochet, deGrom, Eury, Lodolo, Cameron, Baz, Zebby. Arrighetti and Ragans on my DL.
Potential keepers a little weak: Crochet (round 18), Eury (19), deGrom (25), Cameron (20). Lodolo (14) Arrighetti (17), Vest (18), Hoerner (9), Chisolm (3), Noelvi (18), Aranda (18), Caglianone (18).
Ryan side, it’s not close if you’re trying to win, which you should be
Send Mookie and PCA for Tatis Jr. and Elly De La Cruz
caveat that it’s a long-term keeper league and PCA can be kept for 7 next year then would be 14 and then 26 then 44 (assuming baseball continues)
Elly would be 27 next year then 45 year after.
I’d take Tatis/Elly
pts keeper lg (keep 8). In 2nd place. Was offered Vladdy (free agent at end of season) and a 7th round pick for Bieber (could be kept at 198th round value for 2 more years) and a 6th round pick…make the trade? Current rotation: Skubal, Crochet, deGrom, Eury, Lodolo, Cameron, Baz, Zebby. Arrighetti and Ragans on my DL.
Vlad side
got offered my oniel cruz for his blake snell and hader. which side would you prefer?
Hader, apples/oranges
Hi Grey,
Thanks for your suggestions about trying to move Riley for Lauer, Warren or Sheenen!
1. Would you try for any of those or try and get Shane Bieber?
2.Would you start or sit Ryne Nelson at home vs SD?
Thanks!!!
1. Sure, try for Bieber 2. Start
To get Bieber, would you toss in Slade Cecconi?
Thanks!
Sure
If position is irrelevant, AVG and OBP are categories, who is the odd man out here:
Busch
Montgomery
Muncy
Vaughn
If applicable, what if it comes down to Busch versus Montgomery?
Thanks as always, you’re awesome. Sorry for the weird compound question.
Muncy

Bibee @CHC
Cecconi @CHW
Morton vs LAA
Lauer @LAD
Bello @SD
Morton, Salde, Horton
Thanks – how would you rank Colson, Oneil, Laureano, Cedanne, Vaughn, Warming?
Ceddanne, Ramon L, Colson
Roster Shaw or Goldy?!
Goldy
Hey Grey,
The trade deadline is Thursday and my weaknesses are Tovar at SS and Wilyber Abreu in CF. The question is, how big of an upgrade is O’Neill Cruz over Tovar and Luis Robert over Abreu? I’d be trading an early draft pick next year to make it work.
Robert is not an upgrade over Abreu…Cruz is sizable over Tovar
I got an offer today that I’m going to have trouble refusing because flags fly forever.
I get Devers and Bichette
I give Sanchez
It makes sense from a contract perspective because the guys I’m getting are either too expensive to keep or are expiring contracts.
Do I do it? If the answer is yes, then I’ve been told by another owner more than once I could get Vlad and (I think) Yordan for Aranda. Both Vlad and Yordan are expiring contracts while Aranda is $1 with years.
Before yesterday I wouldn’t have considered it, but a team below me has made some sleuth deals and has a monster roster: Harper, Alonso, Judge, Stanton, Schwarber, and more….and we get 14 points per home run hit. He’s going to place first or second.
Would you do these deals if you were me to counter that? Would give me a team of:
Raleigh, Vlad, Lowe, Bichette, J-Ram, Semien, Devers, Cruz, Teoscar, Bellinger, Julio
My pitching would take a huge hit, but I can stream.
Thoughts? I’m in 2nd.
Who is Sanchez
Cristopher Sanchez. He has one year after this year at $1.
Size of the league?
11 teams
Sanchez trade seems decent
Thanks. One quick follow up. I got countered with getting $11 Vinnie for Aranda.
Would you do that trade? Aranda might be out for the year with any setback.
$300 budget.
Vinnie side
Do you have to do the Sanchez deal to get the Vlad deal?
No. However, since writing this, the Vlad owner took that offer off the table.
The Sanchez one is still there though.
I’d prefer Sanchez
Sit one: Trout, HRamos, Suzuki (ice cold recently), jsanchez, B Doyle (actually playing ok recently).
Sanchez
Follow up question
Burrows home vs SF or
Paddack home vs Minny?
Paddack
The Angels must have two scarecrows, otherwise why do they keep playing Adell?
Haha
Andrew Vaughn or Ben Rice?
Vaughn
I have Wilyber Abreu in CF. Should I drop him for Heliot Ramos?
No
Thanks
No problem
12 Team U spot…Keaschall or R. Mauricio?
Keaschall
Would u stream Burrows home vs SF?
Yes
Putting a Boogie Nights joke for Dingler in the blurb of the opposing pitcher, and including the *song*? Some of your best work. Thanks for the laughs as my season circles the drain
Haha, thanks!
Hi Grey,
Could I get get any starting pitchers for Austin Riley who is on IL.? The trading deadline in my points league is August 7.
If yes, please suggest a few SPs.
Thanks!
Is it a redraft league or a keeper/dynasty? If redraft, hard to imagine anyone thinking that Riley will provide much help this season. He barely provided any help when he *wasn’t* injured
Eric Lauer, Will Warren, Emmet Sheehan
Thank you very much!
PS I have Max Fried and Carlos Rodon. Please light a candle.
Ha, will do!
Hi Grey,
So, Lenyn Sosa (White Sox) is sneaky decent. (He’s ranked 85 the last two weeks and 123 the last month in my roto league.) That’s great, but he doesn’t steal bases.
Luke Keaschall (Twins) is about to get activated from the IL and has been stealing bases while rehabbing.
Do you think the upside of Keaschall’s speed warrants dropping the rather consistent Sosa? To further muddy things, I also have Gleyber Torres in the mix and he’s a lot like Sosa (hits, very few SB) so maybe there’s some redundancy there…
Thanks for your help. Looking forward to this week’s pod which just showed up in my feed. Have a good week.
I’d go Keaschall over Sosa
You too!
Brilliant. Thanks!
No problem
I need a SP. would you trade Eugenio for any of Luzardo, Rodon or Glasgow?
Nope
Thanks Grey
No problem
Hey Grey,
12 team keeper.
picked up Joey Wentz based on some info here and elsewhere about improvement with his new team on his cutter.
Would you start him at home vs MIL?
Fwiw, I am leaning yes.
Thanks
Nope
Rank these 1B for me for 2026? Olson, Mayo, Steer, Casas
Olson……Maybe Mayo, Casas
How would you rank Barger, C.Montgomery, and Muncy ROS?
Colson, Barger
Morning G!
Stream Warren vs TEX or Soriano vs TBR today or none of the above in QS 5×5?
Thanks!

You did

Morning & Happy National Underwear Day!
Not sure if it’s a celebration of underwear, my queue to free-ball today, or just a reminder to do laundry.
Either way, my underwear just got a little tighter with the news Judge should be activated today!
In other news, looks like Spencer Spaghetti gonna start tomorrow and Michael King has a “chance” to return this week too (shhhh, don’t want to jinx it)!.
I did have some pitcher Q’s for ya today:
Oh, and Goldschmidt has been less than helpful lately/ this season. He still a “hold” or you dropping for Ernie Clement, Wilyer Abreu, or Romy Gonzalez?
Thank you!
Natl Underwear Day is to promote healthy body image.
Ha, nice…1. No 2. Depends on needs, Faucher’s been fine — Can move onto Abreu
Ugh on hearing the no to Darvish . . . salvaging my season kind of depends on him being solid from here on out. Weeeeeeeee!!!
Ha
Randy Rod blew yesterday’s Save opportunity — perhaps he’s best as an 7,8th inning guy.
I own Vest. Saves ROS: Walker (SF) or Vest? Worth ($1,2) FAAB offer to switch?
Walker
12 team, 5×5 roto.
How would you rank these players to replace Riley?
Muncy, Colson, Jung, Royce
Colson, Jung
Mize or sonny gray ROS
Gray
Who is the add in a saves/holds league out of these options? (You can rank the top 2 in order):
Jojo Romero
Andrew Kittredge
Jared Koenig
Ben Casparius
Danny Coulombe
Thanks!
Romero
Vientos or Lenyn Sosa ROS H2H pts?
Vientos
I have Bryce Miller, Jackson Chorio and Austin Riley IL’ed, only have 2 IL slots and need to drop one ROS – Riley the drop?
Yes
Ceddanne Rafaela was just dropped. Should I drop Michael Busch or Andrew Vaughn for him? 5×5 obp roto. Thanks
Vaughn
Neto over Yamamoto for 2026? How close/far would you rank them at this point?
Prolly close
Hey Grey, I’m needing to make room for Judge coming off the IL. Would you drop Barger, Brandon Lowe or Kerry Carpenter?
Lowe
Hey Grey, Did you notice Duran changed his swing and he’s hit like 6 hrs in the past 2 weeks? I even heard announcers talking like that loooked like a pop up and went out of the yard….looks like Duran found a way to unlock the power. So glad I traded mookie Betts for him a couple weeks ago.
Why’s he hitting 7th? Did they mention that?
Should change with a Hr off a lefty yesterday. More RBI chances are nice though if he hits lower in the order. Like he’s been hitting 3rd against righties.
Yeah
Just used Verlander for his two-start week (both against PIT), which worked out great. Dropped him and picked up Paddack. Thoughts on Paddack’s 2-start week this week (vMIN and @CHW) in a 12-teamer? Other than COL on the road, hard to get two worse teams, right?
This is an awesome spot for Paddack especially as this is a revenge game with MIN and CHW just suck.
Sounds fine
Good Morning!
I need to sit 2 of the following for this week:
Steer, Durbin, ChristianWalker, Trout, HRamos, Suzuki (ice cold recently), jsanchez, B Doyle (actually playing ok recently), Keaschall (due to come off IL today)
Thank you.
Keaschall, Steer
Sorry, one of the guys to sit needs to be an OF. Can you let me know which Of is at the bottom and which of Steer and Keaschall should sit. Thanks.
Steer
Herrera might be utility-only to start the season where 20 GP are needed. Needs 6 more for catcher, 17 for OF.
Yup
But the plan is for him to catch again next year, so it shouldn’t take too long to get eligibility. If all goes according to plan. And things usually do.
Haha, hope so!
Teoscar still not healthy. Days off, pinch runners etc. Too bad after his strong season last year and terrific start in 2025. Holding for now but on my bench. Come playoff time, he could be gone. Playing Ivan and Colson over him for now. Baseball is hard.
Agreed
I got offered Schwarber for Teoscar/Eovaldi about a month ago and declined
Still lose sleep over it ffs
Hi Grey

Hey hey Mr. Grey,
Asking about who from the following I should be concerned about ROS and sooner about reaching some innings limits:
HOU Framber Valdez (140 now, 176 last year)
LAD Yamamoto (122 now, 90 last year)
TEX Eovaldi (103 now, 170 last year)
TB Baz (124 now, 79 last year)
ARI Pfaadt (122 now, 181 last year)
ARI Kelly (134 now, 73 last year)
KC Wacha (125 now, 166 last year)
As Severino (130 now, 182 last year), just streaming currently
I’m not mentioning anyone who either debuted or returned recently for the first time.
Could you point out any from the list I’m overlooking who might come under management of their innings soon, especially if in the team playoff race?
Appreciate you!
Baz, Yamamoto
Grey
Awesome!!!
Rodney Dangerfield quote of the day for August 5, 2025
Monte Peterson (Rodney): Every time we had sex, she kept calling out, “Rocky, Rocky!”
Attorney for Blanche Peterson (his third wife): Your honor, I object to Mr. Peterson’s insinuation that my client slept with another man.
Monte Peterson (Rodney): Rocky’s our dog!
-From My Five Wives
Cheers,
Ante
I don’t get it.
Jeff!
Rocky is the name of their dog, the name she cries out when she has sex with Rodney. Double entendre as the attorney for Blanche thinks that Rodney implies that Rocky is a man.

Ante
Thanks!
So devin williams is turning back into the guy that was terrible. 3 straight appearances giving up a run. He’s given up at least 1 run in 5 of last 7 appearances. Do you like Randy Rodriguez more in save + holds formats? I have both but can only play one. Need the roster spot for a starting pitcher now. Thanks
Randy more than Devin? No
Thats what I expected. I am so close in era. The extra tack on runs from williams are pretty annoying. RP’s should be helping your ratios. I also have Hoffman and his 4.56 era. Still can’t believe it.
Ha, yeah
In a league where we lose the player after the current season if they crossover from NL to AL in a trad…I am praying that Bednar takes over as Closer. Come on B(uff)oone, make it happen.
