Yesterday, Bryce Harper went 3-for-6, 3 RBIs and his 20th and 21st homer. He’s at the precipice of having a solid year. Precibryce? Yes, that’s the ticket! If he gets to 30 homers and 80+ RBIs, we can write off most of his down year as the result of missing a month. Nine homers and 22 RBIs more is gonna take some digging in and work. It won’t be easy. He’s not exactly the Yodeler about to tip over The Price is Right cliff on the precibryce. He’s gonna have to have the best six weeks of his season to get over the precibryce. (If you say it three times, by the third time people just assume everyone says “precibryce” and I didn’t make up that nonsense.) Next up, J.T. Realmuto (3-for-5) hit his 8th homer. That Jerry Tomato really ketchup’d to that ball! Finally, Trea Turner (4-for-6, 2 runs, 5 RBIs and his 13th homer) showed up without all the pomp and circumstance of the Phillies fans pretending to cheer for him and made them cheer organically. Delightful, like the raw milk Bryce drinks. Anyway, here’s what else I saw yesterday in fantasy baseball:
Zack Wheeler – Underwent a successful thrombolysis. First year of med school is spelling procedures and medicines. Doubt Wheeler returns this year; hopefully next!
Ranger Suarez – 6 2/3 IP, 2 ER, 4 hits, zero walks, 10 Ks, ERA at 3.25. I would be so unbelievably happy if Rob Thomson would freakin’ pull Suarez at six innings rather than trying to get him to work the 7th. He so clearly cannot.
Bryce Miller – Will be activated from the IL on Tuesday. Wonder how that’ll go. No joke, I’m legit curious. My guess is 3 IP, 3 ER, 4 Ks, yours?
Logan Gilbert – 2 IP, 6 ER, ERA at 3.83. Sung like Pink Panther, “Dead arm, dead arm, deadarmdeadarmdeadarmdeadarmmmmmmmmmm.” Or maybe tipping, but that doesn’t work with Pink Panther theme as well.
Mitch Garver – 2-for-4, 2 runs, 2 RBIs and his 8th homer, as he…what position did he play? He’s on the Mariners and Raleigh is there. So, Cal must’ve DH’d because he must be super tired, right? Bzzt, wrongo! Cal and the Giant Peach still caught and Garver DH’d. Maybe “resting” Raleigh at DH might not be a bad idea, but I am merely a little boy blogger.
Cole Young – 1-for-4, 4 RBIs and his 4th homer. Young is playing right now just to show himself to me as I think about next year’s drafts. Show me stuff for the later rounds of a 15-teamer, son!
Shane Bieber – Will be activated from the IL on Friday. I have higher hopes for Bieber than I did for Bryce Miller. Bieber could give you a solid six or so starts of 4-6 IP. He has been absolutely lights-out’ing the minor leagues during his rehab from Tommy John. By the way, was looking at his rehab stats and saw he has a 3.22 career ERA in 843 IP. Excellent, and he has 62 total wins. Ha! Forget 300 wins, starters who are just coming up may never reach 100 wins again.
Kevin Gausman – 5 IP, 2 ER, 7 baserunners, 4 Ks, ERA at 3.78 vs. Paul Skenes – 6 IP, 2 ER, 6 baserunners, 8 Ks, ERA at 2.16. This matchup was billed as, “Skenes said, ‘Of course I’m getting a no decision, but I’m gonna make it so you do too.”
Gunnar Henderson – 2-for-4, 3 runs, 2 RBIs and his 15th homer. Well, of course, Gunnar is hit a home run. He’s so good! (Was watching old clips of Stuart Smalley and I’m trying something.)
Trevor Rogers – 7 IP, 1 ER, 5 baserunners, 7 Ks, ERA at 1.41. He’s not even in the top 10 for the AL Cy Young race, according to Bettors B. Bettin’. I don’t know how he can’t be though. Don’t think this is the reason, but he does have only six wins. Cackling!
Jordan Westburg – Left the game with ankle discomfort. Ship’s captain seeing an IL stint, “Westburg, right ahead!”
Dustin May – 6 IP, 2 ER, 10 baserunners, 5 Ks, ERA at 4.59. Streamonator actually loved this start, and it worked out, but I honestly wouldn’t touch him.
Jurickson Profar – 3-for-5, 3 runs, 5 RBIs and a double slam (8) and legs (6), and 2nd and 3rd homer in two games. Glad I picked him back up in my RCL. He’s like my Lou-Gu-Ju su. (Surrogate, not substitute; I’m too highfalutin for substitute.)
Michael Harris II – 4-for-4, 2 RBIs and his 15th homer. The funniest is the people talking themselves into Harris being fixed and promising again for next year. Yes, he’s fixed now, but what makes you think he won’t be broke for three months next year? It’s not like he didn’t know he was broken for half this year. People think it’s so easy for a guy to fix themselves. Maybe, and bear with me here, a guy isn’t as bad as his worst slump or as good as his best hot streak.
Spencer Strider – 3 IP, 7 ER, ERA at 5.24. This start was home vs. the Shite Sox. On a purely baseball level, this sucks for Strider. He’s clearly not right. Hopefully it’s mechanics issue and not a health issue, but it’s a something issue.
Luis Robert Jr. – 1-for-6, 2 runs, 2 RBIs and his 13th homer. After the game he said, “It’s never too early for next year’s trading deadline!”
Brooks Baldwin – 1-for-2, 2 runs and his 8th homer. Wasn’t the cream of the crop getting Strider, either. Wasn’t even the cream of the crap.
Yoendrys Gomez – 5 IP, 3 ER, 8 baserunners, 3 Ks, ERA at 5.53. He used to be in the Dodgers’ system, and his middle name is Dale. He has hideous command, and I wouldn’t trust him at all.
Lenyn Sosa – 2-for-6, 4 RBIs and his 17th homer. He’s been a hot schmotato so long, I’m beginning to think this is an actual breakout, but I’m trying so hard to not think that.
Mike Yastrzemski – 2-for-3 and his 12th homer. He’s really fit in well with the Royals’ organization. A team where all the hitters seemingly have more power than they show.
Vinnie Pasquantino – 1-for-4, 2 RBIs and his 23rd homer, hitting .257. Pasketti hitting that ball sky-high and tipping his cap to his batting coach, Al Dente.
Michael Wacha – 5 2/3 IP, 2 ER, 9 hits, zero walks, 3 Ks, ERA at 3.34. Streamed him and will drop him today for someone else. That’s how you should be treating waivers this time of year.
Jack Leiter – 3 2/3 IP, 3 ER, ERA at 4.06. Ya know how bad ya gotta be to get housed by the Royals in that janky park? Less than ideal!
Spencer Arrighetti – 5 IP, 5 ER, ERA at 6.94. Well, the good news is no one will want to draft him next year and he’ll be a sleeper all over again! [dodges thrown tomato, splats above head] What?
Jack Flaherty – 7 IP, 0 ER, 4 baserunners, 9 Ks, ERA at 4.51. Speaking of sleepers (I was in Arrighetti’s blurb), there’s no way everyone and I mean everyone doesn’t call Flaherty a 2026 sleeper to the point where he’s not.
Wenceel Perez – 2-for-3 and a slam (10) and legs (7). I started Wenceel in one league and I’m being 100% honest when I say, I don’t know why. Might’ve been lack of options. By the way, doesn’t Wenceel sound like something you’d name your ferret?
Colt Keith – 3-for-4, 2 runs, 2 RBIs, and a slam (11) and legs (1), hitting .268. Also, in this game, Riley Greene (1-for-4, 2 RBIs) hit his 29th homer and Trey Sweeney (2-for-4, 2 runs, 3 RBIs) hit his 6th homer. Or simply Tiltry Greeney, or every base stealer in the 80’s.
C.J. Kayfus – 2-for-3, 2 runs and his 2nd homer. Cay Jewelers Kayfus a diamond in the rufs.
Gavin Williams – 5 1/3 IP, 0 ER, 5 baserunners, 5 Ks, ERA at 3.24. I actually started him and he pitched well. Someone pinch me. On my top half!
Brayan Rocchio – 1-for-3, 2 RBIs and his 3rd homer, and 2nd homer in three games. If this was the 1st week of April, I’d be intrigued! Maybe a hot schmocchio.
Victor Vodnik – 1 IP, 0 ER, ERA at 3.43. Four saves last week, and a win last night. Four ladies and gentlemen, your best reliever of the week.
Brady Singer – 6 IP, 1 ER, 7 baserunners, 4 Ks, ERA at 4.18. He was helped by the 5th homer from Gavin Lux, i.e., Singer Lux out against Angels, and when I googled singers who defied death the top result was Ozzy Osbourne, so I don’t know what to tell you.
Eury Perez – 4 1/3 IP, 1 ER, 6 baserunners, 6 Ks, ERA at 3.48. As a person who watched this start, meh, he seemed fine. I would’ve let him keep going, but A) He was wild. B) I was reading a book so not fully paying attention. C) There’s no C.
Eric Wagaman – 1-for-2 and his 8th homer, 2nd homer in two games, and looks like a hot schmotato, but he was also pinch-hit for because MLB managers are dumb.
Brendan Donovan – Hit the IL with a groin strain. Careful, that’s how you go blind.
Matthew Liberatore – 5 IP, 3 ER, 6 baserunners, 5 Ks, ERA at 4.13. Been a while since I looked at his peripherals and dry-heave. Yeah, not great. Streamonator hates him and I do too.
Nolan Gorman – 1-for-4, 2 runs, 2 RBIs and his 12th homer as he foreclosed on the save, putting the game out of reach, which makes me wonder who the Cards were going to bring out for the 9th if it remained a two-run game. I am subtly asking VinWins. Well, now less subtly.
Cade Horton – Exited with a blister on his right middle finger. An injury that only sidelines pitchers and truck drivers.
Kyle Tucker – 0-for-4. Shame he retired in July. No ceremony or anything. He’s been hitting .148 in August with zero extra base hits and 14 Ks. Counsell said he’ll get multiple days off. Not sure what he has to say about Tucker. [intern whispers in ear] Ah, okay, he was referring to Tucker getting the days off.
Freddy Peralta – 6 IP, 0 ER, 1 hit, 3 walks, 6 Ks, ERA at 2.78, and 1st pitcher to get 15 wins this season. You thought the Cubs were charmed in the 1st half of the season? Well, you were right, and now the Brewers are more charmed. Charmedier.
Brice Turang – 2-for-5, 2 RBIs and his 13th homer, 2nd homer in a week. After you hear his name, do you also want to say, “How can I be of assistance,” or just me?
Caleb Durbin – 2-for-5, 2 RBIs and a slam (7) and legs (11). Kinda interesting that the Brewers steal a ton of bags, but their two arguably fastest guys don’t have a ton. Okay, I said “kinda.”
Robbie Ray – 6 2/3 IP, 0 ER, 4 baserunners, 6 Ks, ERA at 2.85. I had a nightmare that Cal Raleigh was wearing Robbie Ray’s tight pants and they exploded like a mushroom cloud over my house. Maybe I should save some stuff for my therapist.
Rafael Devers – 1-for-4 and his 24th homer. Rafael…delivers! See what I did? You don’t? Hmm, thought it was obvious.
Wilmer Flores – 1-for-3, 2 RBIs and his 13th homer. Have I mentioned the Padres started Nestor Cortes (5 2/3 IP, 4 ER, ERA at 5.87) who might either be the worst pitcher in the majors or injured and I’m not sure there’s a discernible difference?
Heliot Ramos – 2-for-5 and his 15th homer. After retiring in May, Ramos went fishing in McCovey Cove and spent time with his kids. Then on Monday afternoon, Little Georgie Ramos said, “Dad, will things always be this nice between us?” Heliot said, “Ugh, enough with the questions! I’m going back to work!”
lol Wenceel is a great name for a ferret. That almost made me do a coffee nose. Well done as always good sir
Is trading Michael king for wheeler a good deal? This is for a keeper league. Obviously it’s a discount trade since wheeler is out this year. Just concern with the blood clot and mentioning he’s going to retire at the end of 2027 when he’s 37. Thoughts?
I know old man yells at cloud but Doyle has hit .389 last 30 days and has 2 steals. Is 12SB-1CS on year. Meanwhile Beck keeps getting caught every other dang attempt and still gets more green lights. 14-8 on year. Somehow Colorado is 22nd in steal attempts but 5th in CS….so yeah…maybe let the one good at stealing try?
I’m not keeping Michael Harris next year. He’s one of the reasons I’m 13th in a 12 team. Please tell me I’m not keeping him, am I??
Ha depends who else you have
Hey Grey. If Vlad and hammy go to IL, please rank a couple of FA 3B for potential pickup-McMahon, Lux, India, Warming, Gorman
Warming, Lux
Gore home vs Mets or
Kikuchi home vs Cincy?
Kikuchi
Oh great Grey,
please rank TOP 3 for a pts league:
Cabrera ATL; @NYM
Gil WAS; @CHW
Giolito @Bal; PIT
Luzardo @NYM; ATL
Priester AZ; @Tor
Scherzer MIN; MIL
Scherzer, EdCab, Gio
Great write up, as usual! Thanks!
A few questions:
1) I need to drop a batter to pick up a RP, who is the drop: Doyle, Luis Robert Jr., Reynolds, or Ramos? I’m guessing Ramos. (Also I may drop another one to pick up a SP, who’s your second choice?)
2) Who’s the better reliever to pick up for saves: D. Santana or Vodnik?
3) Luis Garcia Jr. or Colt Keith for 2B?
I’m in a 12-team, H2H with holds and saves. Thank you!
They just put up a graphic showing home runs by Canadian-born Cubs and Ferguson Jenkins is third with 13.
HAHAHAHA amazing
Matt Stairs had to be high on that list. He screamed beer league softball maven
H2H. Should I pick up strider dropping McLean for the playoffs? My reasoning is this, strider could figure it out and would remain on my bench until he does, while McLean could roofie me in the playoffs because that’s what rookies do. Thanks again Grey.
Sure
Grey
Would you drop Faucher or Maton for
Vodnick
Newcomb
Romero
Maton for Romero
Seems like Riley O’Brien is next up in the Cards’ closer carousel. His name sounds like “regular at the local Irish bar” in a crappy sitcom.
Drop JoJo for O’Brien or Vodnik (who now that I think of it sounds like “generic Russian contact” in a crappy spy thriller)? Which would be your choice?
Haha, Vin mentioned, thanks! I’d go JoJo still
Yeah, it seems like JoJo will get the 9th unless he matches up better in the 8th.
Not that it’s definitive but the Barfly got the save today. JoJo Rabbit still getting high lev. Managers always want right-handed closers. Sigh
Did you see Tommy Pham with the weird near-altercation after his walk? It’s like he wants to land one like he’s Rougned, but the only thing anyone catches is his Odor. What a clown.
Yeah, he’s a clown
Ive hated him since he and Kim collided. Kim probably felt like he had to make a play because Pham let one drop in play before. Crushes Kim and then all he does is act angry and doesnt seem to give a damn about his teammate.
The dude wants to act hard because he is a bigger guy and probably most people in his life were trying to calm him down, “bro, they gave you 4 nuggets instead of 5 it isnt a big deal….chill.” and he has turned into “oh man they scared when im angry” instead of people just being rationale.
When people step to him he does the whole tough guy “catch me outside after the game” thing EVERY time. 2 hrs later people calmed down and he probably thinks they are pussies.
Guy got stabbed outside a strip club and his takeaway was that they were at fault (legally I think they were?) and he doesnt run from no one because he is that tough guy.
Dude is lucky he is a baseball player and in America because the easily angered + I will fight anyone + never backing down isnt a great combo for longevity in a lot of the world.
I had a friend of a friend get killed trying to de-escalate a fight in a parking lot and unfortunately someone swung on him, he swung back, friend started swinging on his guy, ended up with a knife in the neck and bleeding out. You just never know and it is crazy Pham has been blessed with the talent he has, in a situation to be set for life, get a wakeup call, and just go back to being him and trying to fight dugouts on every team and slapping Joc Pederson and just no lesson learned. Truly more sad than anything.
Hey grey! Two trade offers rec’d for my Goodman (now my spare C with Basallo up). Which deal do you like?
Offensively, I could use the AVG and SB bump…
Thanks!
Scratch that the guy in (1) wants Lawlar (not eldridge) with Goodman. Feels like Lawlar’s time is finally here though + that he’ll be great with regular time
Sounds fine still
thanks!
No problem
1
Seth Lugo – Do I start him tonight thanks Mr Grey
Nah
Bogaets HR reversed against Ray and Giants last night – Did you see this play – Fan interference??? I watched the reply like 5 times to see if I was missing something and I can’t figure out how they made that call.. Ball hits his glove and comes out the fan doesn’t touch it – Gray you make the call
fan interfered
Vinwins can add this to his top 100 bad calls of the week
I saw
Fighting for first in an NL only Keeper league and looking at trading one of my keepers for a package that includes Yoshi and Devers. Which of these keepers would you part with? Stowers, Mclean, Goodman, Marsee.
Marsee
What book were you reading?
Cold War Crucible by Masuda Hajimu
lol, very exciting! (I don’t know much about Korean War so was reading like a real nerd)
I got a chuckle from the question , smile to my face. It’s all in the details!
In a 10 team redraft OPS league. Would you drop Herrera for Sam Bassallo or F Alvarez? Alvarez just went on the IL
Sure, Basallo
How concerned are you about what Lugo or Pepiot have left in the tank for the ROS? Would you drop one or both for Javier, G. Williams or Gore?
Thanks!
Pretty concerned..Lugo for Williams sounds fine
Hi Grey,
Would you drop Brandon Lowe to pick up Lenny Sosa?
While May pitched well, I had him in a Yahoo points and only got 2 points. just an observation.
Thanks for yo ongoing help!!
Sure

Seems fine if the league is deep enough
Please rank ?

You did
Hey Grey, got some keeper league questions for ya please, for a 5×5 roto.
1) Trevor Rogers is a top __ pitcher next year?
2) Who do we like better in a keeper league James Wood or Corbin Carroll?
3) Can you rank these trades for me?
a. I trade my $7 CJ Abrams and a $30 Bryce Harper (likely I wont keep with how expensive he is) for a $6 Elly
b. I trade my $4 Rooker and $30 Harper for either $4 Wood or $4 Carroll?
c. i trade my $Rooker and $30 harper for $3 Skenes (I could use the pitching help!)
One more please…Zach Wheeler is now a top __ pitcher next year?
Thanks Grey!
I don’t know how long he’s out, ask me in 6 months
1. 30 2. Wood 3. A, B C
Hey Grey! Sticking with the cooling Colson or dropping for the red hot Colonel Mustard in 12 team redraft?
Colson’s hurt, you can lose him
Yeah, he’s downplaying it as nothing serious, but will prob cut bait as he seems to have come back to earth this last week anyway. Thanks!
No problem
Good Luck to Z Wheeler … blood thinners incoming
Gilbert .. 3 hiccups last 9 starts needs to get it going again .. playoff time next week & wouldn’t mind seeing the M’s pushing his next start to next Monday
Yeah
Hey Grey. Would you drop Wacha for M. Keller, Verlander or Arrighetti ..which one down the stretch ROS
Keller
12 team h/h redraft …no Westburg (2nd )
One of .. ouch !!!!
Keith
Stott
Otto
Keaschall
Polanco
McClain
Keaschall
Westburg injury hurts .. now I got to go looking and Hoerner just got picked up ( FA ) yesterday morning..
Ouch
12 tm HTH, got offered Kyle Tucker for Yamamoto. Tucker’s slump scares me but good buy heading into fantasy playoffs? Current OF is Teoscar Hernandez, Profar, and Andy Pages.
Tucker
Morning Grey,
Considering dropping a pitcher to cover Westburg’s injury. Whittled it down to Pepiot or Misiorowski in my QS redraft league. Cons for each:
Pepiot has great matchups ahead through our playoffs (next 4 weeks – STL, WSN, CLE, SEA)
Mis has the innings limit and almost guarantees no QS (but should have Ks for days and ratios)
Who is the drop?
Also, who should I pick up to replace?
Durbin
Baty
Gorman
Wagaman
B Lee
Lux
I suppose the last option is to wait and see what the Orioles do with Westburg before making any moves, but I am concerned they’ll keep him out half the week, and I will be out the roster spot.
Whatchoo think?
Thanks!
-IANASM
Miz
Durbin
Thanks!
No problem
Hi,
12 teams dynasty league for ROS with an eye on next year :
Pick 2:
W.Abreu
W.Contreras (SLouis)
B.Doyle
C.Cowser
J.Ortiz
Thanks
Jogon
Cowser, Abreu
Time for the Braves to send Strider home with orders to get ready for next year because this year ain’t happening?
Yeah
Looking to win sb and ideally runs over the next 2 weeks in my h2h playoff – obp and ops don’t matter much bc the opponent has judge and several other obp ops beasts. Who’s your burner pick?
Chandler Simpson (leading off)
Caballero
Tolbert
T Freeman (leading off)
B Doyle
Thanks!
Simpson
Shallow (10 team) ROS league: Drop Isaac Collins or AndrewVaughn?
Collins
Quick follow: Start Sheehan in COL? Need the W but can’t totally wreck ratios. Thanks.
Seems ok
Hey Grey,
How’re we ranking Doyle, Noelvi Marte and Stanton ROS in crunch time?
Thanks.
Marte, Doyle
Moniak doesn’t seem to be taking advantage of all these matchups vs Righties in his home stadium.
Yeah
Santana, Maton, Ferrer… Please rank for saves.
Santana, Ferrer
O’s call up two prospects, and Westburg gets an owie. Coincidence?!?
Ha
At this point, is it even worth holding onto Cam Smith for his $5 keeper value next year? It seems like he’s miles away from real production.
Nah
Im losing Tucker for a few days apparently. Can you help me rank these replacements options?
Nick Castellanos
Brandon Nimmo
Andy Pages
Noelvi Marte
Brenton Doyle
Bryan Reynolds
Thanks!
Pages, Marte
Flaherty became the second Tiger not named Tarik on the 100 Best Fantasy Starts list:
01 Tarik Skubal May 25 vs CLE
04 Tarik Skubal Jun 29 vs MIN
14 Tarik Skubal May 9 vs TEX
50 Reese Olson Apr 23 vs SD
60 Jack Flaherty Aug 18 vs HOU
61 Tarik Skubal Apr 14 @MIL
73 Tarik Skubal Apr 27 vs BAL
Of course, I had finally given up on him.
Nice!
In a shallow saves only league, would you drop Mason Miller? The wire isn’t exactly flourishing but Romero and Vodnik are there. Preparing for a hopeful playoff run next week.
Sure
Riley O’Brien was warming up before Gorman ruined it.
Just kidding about “ruined it.” I want the Cards to have as big as lead as possible in the 9th.
Naturally!
Thanks, Vin!
Ha! I had Ranger going last night and noted he gave up the solo HR on pitch 100 exactly. Two pitches later, HBP and pulled. Of course Romano had to top it off by allowing the runner to score!
Yeah, of course
14 team h2h LEAGUE. Currently 1st place, playoffs in 2 weeks. Who is FA pickup to replace Stowers OF bat?
Beavers (best option?)
I. Collins
Gurriel Jr.
Varsho
Current OF: Judge, Ward, Trout (? poop emoji), O’Hearn, Jazz (CF eligible, primarily use at 3b account A.Riley being ineffective + IL’d
Thankyou
Beavers
To make the move need to drop 1 SP: Junk, Horton, Pepiot, T Melton (RP elg and random starts), Waldrep (just picked up)
Remaining SP: Ryan, Peterson, T Rogers, Ober, Strider :(
Lost Ragans, Schwellenbach, Bubic, Hader..been RUFF
Thankyou
Melton
I’m in second place 1.5 points out. Four teams within six points.
+ I’m .002 from taking 3 points in batting average, 2 against direct competitors
+ Within 6 runs scored of doing the same thing.
Given my squad and my options on the wire, I’m feeling like I ought to make a move to shade toward one of these categories over the other.
That said, is there a universe where dropping Chandler Simpson and adding Jurickson Profar or Marcel Ozuna to get a kick in runs scored (and some overall performance) makes sense?
I won’t miss the SB. Fighting a defensive battle to keep from losing HR points, but Yordan is returning and Tatis has to come out of his HR slump sometime, doesn’t he?
Thanks for your take here and for a great season. Your advice has been a yooge part of my success! Gracias!
Damn…Simpson for Profar sounds fine for runs
To clarify, I’d drop Simpson, picking up Profar. Don’t need SBs. You’d sign off on that, yes?
Yes
Thanks, Grey. Appreciate everything you do. Great advice, all the yuks, and a season-long feeling of partnership!
No problem!
Grey!!!!
Awesome!!
Rodney Dangerfield quote of the day for August 19, 2025
Hey, watch out for managers. I had a manager once. He booked me so far out in the woods, my act was reviewed in Field and Stream.
Cheers,
Ante
FIELD AND STREAM! LOLOLOL! I wonder what the reviews were?
Field and Stream review teaser:
“Forget bass and buck season — Field & Stream braves the backwoods to review Rodney’s act. Did the punchlines land, or were the mosquito bites sharper?”
Thanks!
With a month + left, Trevor Rogers sure looks fixed to me. Pitching is such a crap-shoot, but is he approaching Top 100 territory in 2026?
Also, what are your thoughts on Jakob Marsee so far? Do you think he is a legit fantasy building block (whatever that means), or is he on a ‘Kyren Paris hot streak’ to start his career?
Thanks for the forum, I appreciate you.
That would put him in the top 25-ish SPs, so…yeah, likely close
Marsee looks like he’ll bottom out on AVG at some point, but has speed and power
Two bagger for my 2Baggers
OBP with 1B,2B,3B,HR, AVG, SB, RBI
Who should I roll out at 2B: Sosa, Clement, Garcia, Keith
Aranda have any keeper appeal at a $10/$260 value?
Sosa
Not really
Wouldn’t it be something if Gunnar finishes higher on the player rater than Tatis. Talk about two guys going the opposite way.
Yeah, are they close?
Tatis is at 44; Gunnar up to 71. Last 30, Gunnar 10th rated hitter; Tatis 139.
LFG Gunnar!
The gap was huge earlier based on how they both started. That’s great for Gunnar although it’s also an indicator of how crappy Tatis has been.
Yeah, Gunnar hasn’t been that good
Nice call out on the phillies skipper leaving Suarez in too long. The last 2 outings he has given up runs in the 7th. Today thank Romano for tacking on an extra one after Suarez left.
So frustrating
It goes beyond the last two. I recall a shutout getting ruined by the a 3 run hr for the pirates (canario) in the 7th. I was eating at a restaurant and that ruined my dinner.
Haha
