Razzballers, we made it to another week of fantasy two-start pitcher rankings!

Still on the go edition 2.0 incoming… a busy week of summer baseball!

We will keep it short and sweet this week, but I need some feedback! I’d like to break up the mid to bottom of the rankings into categories, so any specifics you’d like listed, please let me know! I mostly play categories leagues, so I had thought of grouping them into QS likely, non-whip killers, and strikeout upside contributors, for example. These rankings are designed to help the Razzball fam, so let me know what would help you win your league.

Before we get to this week’s rankings… Happy Father’s Day to all the dads in the community! I hope you have a great day.

And now onto this week’s rankings…

Start Your Studs-
Jesus Luzardo – @WSH, @NYM – You don’t mess with the Jesus. Happy to have bought shares when I did.
Hunter Brown – @TOR, @DET
Drew Rasmussen – vs KC, vs ARI – He’s been a stud, and gets a KC team without Bobby Witt JR.
Nolan McLean – vs CHC, vs PHI

Best Of the Rest-
Gavin Williams – @CHW, vs SEA – My friend Karma says you are on fraud watch, please don’t be true…
Carlos Rodon – @DET, @BOS
Kyle Bradish – @LAA, vs WSH
Trey Yesavage – vs HOU, vs TEX – Three rough outings in a row prompt a temporary bump down.
George Kirby – @PIT, @CLE
Ryan Weathers – @DET, @BOS
Sonny Gray – @COL, vs NYY
Framber Valdez – vs NYY, vs HOU – He will go 5IP but results always mixed.
Eduardo Rodriguez – @STL, @TB
Peter Lambert – @TOR, @DET – Sneaky good steam vs Det
Casey Mize – vs NYY, vs HOU – Tempering expectations for a few more starts.

(Two) Start At Your Own Risk– (High Risk/High Reward)
Shane McClanahan – vs KC, vs ARI
Michael Wacha – @TB, @CHW
Foster Griffin – vs PHI, @BAL
Andre Pallante – vs ARI, vs MIA

Not a lot here I would start, but maybe for one matchup only.

I have Bradish, G-Will, and Mize. I can start 5 SP, and my big 3 1-start guys are Miz, Schlittler, and Woo. I have to bench Woo this week, right? His inconsistency scares me even with his potential dominance, over Mize or Gavin. Ugh can’t decide. Woo is @PIT/Ashcraft, Williams SEA/Kirby + @CHW/Kay, and Mize NYY/Rodon + HOU/Brown.

Gerrit Cole is pitching tomorrow. I assume he’s gonna get two starts. If he was pitching on Tuesday, i’d say no chance, but Sunday will be day 6 so why not. I’d have him as definite yes at the Tigers and the Sox. I have 5 guys pitching tomorrow. its a h2h pts league. We start 6 pitchers any combo. Ill start Brown, Cole, Rass for sure. Then Valrland, and then I probably lean Griffin over King. i know King is not the pitcher he was in 2024, but he hasn’t been as bad as it seems. 2 of his last 3 starts he was in good shape until the 7th inning. First time it was a horrible decision to send him back out there, last time he was only at about 75 pitches after 6 inn. He got the first two outs, then a homer then a hit then he was out. . Ill start Sale once vs the Giants, even though he has not been his normal stellar self. Not terrible, but 5 straight starts he hasn’t gone 6 innings. He was close today. He’a a little bit off. Still vs the Giants and being Chis Sale he starts. So its gonna come down to King or Griffin. The matchup say Griffin. Home vs Philly, and at Baltimore. King is home vs Atlanta and home Dodgers. Atlanta is slumping, and its Holmes. i don’t mind that start at all for King, but the 2nd one is the Dodgers. He’s pitched well against them in his career 4-0 with a 2 ERA. That really doesn’t matter much this week. He did throw a great game against them earlier this year, but he is giving up a lot of traffic, and the last thing i want is to be in a close matchup or even sitting ahead on Sunday and have to see King get touched for 5 runs early. Thats the downside of two starts, my league really rewards wins, and punishes bad starts. I assume if you had to pick one, you’d go with Griffin. My other choices are one starts each from Davis Martin home vs KC. 2 of the last 4 he got hammered, although he’s good at home, and he was better today. KC seems to be hitting a lot better. Lastly I have Detmers, who got killed by Oakland today, he gets them again next week at home this time, so i’d expect better results. Also Sean Manaea is pitching at home vs the Cubs. He’s pitched much better, but its very hard to trust the mets offense. I don’t think i can pass on a decent two start option for Manaea. If your still reading this thanks. LOL.
