Happy Monday, Razzball faithful! And to think I was a bit worried about which lede to run with today. “Tarik Skubal has been traded” pic.twitter.com/ePvfQLylue — Talkin' Baseball (@TalkinBaseball_) August 2, 2026 Well, the big story of this trade deadline is one that already wrote itself. And the Tigers fans who were Tarik-fied to lose […]

Happy Monday, Razzball faithful! Can you hear that rustling in the bushes?  Yep. Those bushes. Right over there. If you look closely, you can see the shining, beady eyes of MLB GMs crouched and waiting to pounce on unsuspecting sellers as they shop their pending free agents and “non-bargain-priced” talent. Well, it might be a […]

A recent case in point is Jake Bennett, pitcher for the Boston Red Sox. He is undoubtedly off to a great start to his MLB career, as he’s put together 59.1 innings of a 2.58 ERA and a 0.94 WHIP. He’s also collected 6 wins, which is fantasy gold but also probably more the result of the recent Red Sox hot streak than it is a stat that gives us an idea what to predict moving forward. But when readers and friends have asked me what I’ve thought of him, I’ve had to basically shrug my shoulders and say that I wasn’t sure yet.

Razzball, welcome back for another week! Chris Sale will be the focus this week, and after an injury riddled 2025, he has definitely bounced back similar to his 2024 Cy Young season. Sale currently has a 2.19 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, and an 11-6 record. HIs arsenal utilizes a 4-Seam, Slider, Changeup, and Sinker, with his […]

Happy Monday, Razzball faithful! If there’s one good thing about only having 4 days since our last update, it’s that it didn’t give me much time to piece together a new trade offer to send yet another fan favorite out those MarmosDad Fantasy Baseball saloon doors. But I’ll tell you one thing.  If I rostered […]

For me, one of the most challenging things about fantasy is when I see things that others I respect in the game apparently don’t. For instance, if I’m in on a player while no one else seems to be, that makes me extremely anxious. Anytime there’s a FAAB run and I go spend a hefty chunk on a guy while the back-up bids for him are virtually nonexistent, I question myself. A lot. Anytime I roster a guy on as many of my teams as I can, then I check rostership percentages to see that he’s rostered in basically no other leagues, I question myself. A lot. In both cases, I start wondering: Option A – Did I see something everyone else didn’t? Option B – Or do I think I’m seeing something good that isn’t there?

The Nats declared the A’s home field a Nationals Park Friday after Washington scored a franchise-record 23 runs on 21 hits and handed the lowly Athletics their tenth straight loss. With a score like 23-4, Nats seem more than ready for football season. Same Nats, same. How early is too early to draft Kyle Pitts. […]

While the players take the week off during the All-Star break, those of us here at Razzball get no break, so welcome back to another Up-and-Coming Dynasty Player entry.

This week I am highlighting left-handed pitcher Jake Bennett. Bennett has had a very production rookie season with the Boston Red Sox and has been a bright spot in the Boston rotation. He does not wow anyone with his fastball, but he gets hitters out and that is the name of the game when it comes to pitching.

Let’s dive in and take a look at Bennett, an up-and-coming dynasty player.

Happy NOT Monday, Razzball faithful! Maybe it’s because this is happening on a Thursday, and my entire vibe has been thrown off, but I have a confession to make. And it’s a doozy. Oh. Oh no. Did your favorite Razzball Starting Pitcher writer really do the unthinkable? Retire from his lengthy career to spend more […]

Please, blog, may I have some more?

This is the most unique week throughout the fantasy season. Most leagues split this period into two weeks due to the All-Star break. That doesn’t mean anything from a waiver wire perspective, though, because the waiver wire never sleeps. It’s actually an important time to keep an eye on it when many fantasy managers are […]
