Hi, it’s Thursday, July 28th, 2022, and we are back with another DFS article. Today’s main slate on FanDuel is eight games and starts at 7:05 pm Eastern. This slate features several good pitchers on the mound like Shohei Ohtani and Zack Wheeler. It also features some of the worst pitchers in the league with […]

For what it’s Cronenworth, I wrote this prior to the news the Yankees were acquiring Andrew Benintendi:
Trade deadline predictions:
L. Castillo: LAD
J. Soto: STL
W. Contreras: NYM
D. Robertson: SDP
J. Quintana: NYY
T. Mahle: MIN
B. Drury: MIN
F. Montas: LAD
A. Benintendi: NYY
T. Skubal: TEX
J. Bell: HOU
C. Rodón: STL
I. Happ: NYM
J. Gallo: DFA
D. Peralta: NYY— Razzball (@Razzball) July 27, 2022
Let’s make it 2-for-2 off the bat and DFA Joey Gallo! That would also be a better hitting line than Gallo’s ever had. The Mets got the Yanks so shook after a walk-off win they went out and acquired a guy who can’t even play in Toronto in the playoffs. Doesn’t seem like the smartest of trades, but I’m sure Cashman did his research. So, the assumption is Hicks goes to the bench (finally!), and Benintendi goes out to left field. Then what happens when Giancarlo returns, and they trade for David Peralta and Matt Carpenter hits 6 homers in a week and the sky is falling! I don’t know. Benintendi is clearly helped by this move, due to the stadium and lineup, but he does have a very flat Launch Angle and kinda makes baby contact, so I don’t think this boosts Benintendi to, say, a top 20 outfielder. He’s around a top 40 outfielder now, and I’d say he’s top 30 now. Anyway, here’s what else I saw yesterday in fantasy baseball:
Please, blog, may I have some more? The 2022 deadline has already seen one unlikely winner in Pittsburgh catcher Jason Delay, a 27-year-old who had a 59 wRC+ in 28 AAA games this year when he got the call. Those outcomes obscure his ability though. He’d posted a 123 wRC+ in 13 AAA games last year, but he just hasn’t played all that much professional baseball since being selected in the fourth round of the 2017 draft. Shortly after his debut, the club traded Michael Perez, making Delay the lead man post-haste. The slow-to-arrive backstop has taken well to the gig, slashing .308/.357/.462 and passing the eye test as a defender. I’m already comfortable penciling him in as the club’s starter in 2023, which is kind of the goal here: I’m looking for players whose post-deadline, playing time windfall can carry over into next year and launch them into long-term fantasy relevance.
Please, blog, may I have some more?Hope everyone out there is beating the heat most of the nation is experiencing and you have a pool close by you or some body of water you can get a little relief. Please, blog, may I have some more? For many fantasy players, the loss of Jon Berti has seriously hurt their chances of winning their titles. Berti was a one-man stolen base factory and although he has been gone for a few weeks many players are still feeling the pain of the loss. However, for fantasy managers, there may be another available Marlin […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Ahhhhhh…Watch Out! You might get what you’re after (hot DFS takes). Happy Wednesday, Razzball friends! MarmosDad is back again with some news and notes to help you fill out those DFS lineups today. Wednesdays are usually for the aces, but there is a pretty good cross-section of talent at the top. There’s also a few […]

Jeimer Candelario ?LeBron James
I confuse the two sometimes it’s so uncanny https://t.co/nJnQHFGFJg

“HAHAHAHAHAHAHA–”
“–Breathe, Grey! Come back to us! We’re losing him!”
“Someone put out a cape, I think I’m going to faint like a damsel.”
Granted, I don’t know much about basketball, but he compared himself to LeBron? Yo, has Jeimer Candelario had a break from reality? I guess tying Aaron Judge with the most homers in the 2nd half with four can play tricks on your ego. Yesterday, Jeimer Candelario (2-for-5, 3 RBIs) hit his 10th homer, and 4th in the last week. He was a sleeper of mine this past offseason — not great, Bob! — but he is hot now. By the way, his ten homers leads the Tigers in homers, and that is so freakin’ funny to me. Anyway, here’s what else I saw yesterday in fantasy baseball:
Please, blog, may I have some more?Hey all, after a midseason sabbatical to take care of some family things, I’m back. And I’m seeing the world with a bit more clarity. Call it a furthering need for authenticity. When you are confronted with the mortality of your father—for me the positive visage of what a patriarch looks like: selfless, giving, strong, […]

Please, blog, may I have some more?I don’t give a rat’s rear end where people speculate Juan Soto is going to end up. Seriously though, I’m tired of reading all of these posts about hypothetical packages that would be needed to land Soto. It’s not fun, or funny. I don’t find it informative either. To speculate is to assume, and you […]

Please, blog, may I have some more?Well, here we are. The official 2nd half of the season has arrived, and we hope to cash some big tickets in DFS. Big trades should be just around the corner, but Tuesday should still be business as usual as the Sellers look for their best offers. Speaking of which I think the Red Sox […]
