Quietly, Corey Seager (2-for-3, 4 RBIs, 27th and 28th homer) has stayed healthy all year. ‘Quietly’ because I think if you would’ve told anyone that he’d play in 95% of his team’s games he’d be a top 20 guy, easily. Before yesterday, he had thirty more at-bats than Zach Neto and exactly the same amount of value on the Player Rater. He will move up after last night, so you don’t have to factcheck me. ACKSUALLY, never factcheck me. I’m factcheckproof! You come at me with “You liked Seager this preseason” and I’ll say, he’s been decent, not a bust at all. You come at me with “You were down on Seager” and I’ll say, yes, he was drafted in the top 25, and he’s not worth that. See, I fence facts. I hedge facts. A great duel of me vs. facts and I will Aaron Burr the facts. How’s dem facts? Sweet! Was thinking yesterday when people started making the case Ohtani isn’t the NL MVP frontrunner, how you can use stats to win any baseball argument. Don’t like HRs and SBs? Point to WAR for defense. That doesn’t do the argument justice? Point to his last month’s stats. There’s a fact for any argument. Any hoo! Corey Seager is a solid 30/.270 hitter, the problem is no steals, so his fantasy value is very attached to his runs and RBIs. That’s just the facts. Or is it? Anyway, here’s what else I saw yesterday in fantasy baseball:
Jacob deGrom – Plan is for him to make four scheduled rehab starts before being activated. Oh, Rangers and your giant-headed manager with your tiny baby brains. He’s never going to make it through four rehab starts.
Alex Cobb – Hit the IL with a fractured nail. Maybe when he returns he can exclaim, “Man, I, cure!”
Kyle Harrison – 6 IP, 1 ER, 7 baserunners, 5 Ks, ERA at 4.00. If you’re not streaming everyone you can vs. the White Sox, you’re not trying hard enough.
Freddie Freeman – 0-for-4. Has a hairline fracture of his middle finger. A career ender for a truck driver, but Freeman is opting to play through it. I imagine he’ll be fine, maybe less power.
Max Muncy – 1-for-4, 2 RBIs and his 10th homer as he was activated from the IL. He said he couldn’t say where he’s been all season only that he now “believes in extraterrestrials.”
Gavin Lux – 1-for-3 and his 9th homer, 2nd homer in four games, hitting near-.400 in the last month. When I lost Rengifo, I turned to Lux, and he’s been solid for everything but steals. Yes, I need steals, but that’s not his fault.
Gavin Stone – 7 IP, 0 ER, 4 baserunners, 10 Ks, ERA at 3.44. It’s kinda indicative of our time that Stone had his career-high in Ks last night. I know, it’s not like he’s a ten-year vet, but still it was ten strikeouts. He was supposed to be an ace when he was first promoted. It’s fine. Hopefully he has a long career in front of him, but he’s never had double-digit Ks before. That feels significant.
Tommy Edman – 1-for-3 and his 1st steal, as he was activated. He said he was “chasing ET’s with Muncy.” Not sure what he means. Lots of questions about Edman yesterday. He will hit 9th and has some speed, maybe 2/6/.250 in the final six weeks. It’s fine, I think there’s prolly better guys available in most mixed leagues.
Bryan Woo – 6 1/3 IP, 2 ER, 4 baserunners, 5 Ks, ERA at 2.12. Had allowed one hit through six and a third and then Lux stomped Woo. Boo.
Connor Norby – 1-for-4, 1 run, 1 RBI as he was recalled. Hmm, so I didn’t agree with sending him down, because he was clearly ready, and they seemed to be doing it just to manipulate his service time, but if you’re going to do that, why call him up now and not wait two weeks? So, he has power and speed, but might hit under .200. The 29.2% K% in the minors with the Marlins is concerning. Could see grabbing him in deeper mixed leagues, but he might be an average risk.
Ketel Marte – Hit the IL with a sprained ankle. If you were relying on Ketel, it’s time to start drinking exactly that.
Adrian Del Castillo – 2-for-4, 6 RBIs and a grand slam (3) and legs (1) in nine games. It’s as easy as ADC, 1, 2, 3, you and me now! The great thing is ADC hits like a 3rd baseman (24 HRs, .319 in 100 games in AAA). The amazing thing is he has catcher eligibility. The less favorable news is if Moreno ever returns, he’s an actual catcher and Del Castillo catches like he’s a 3rd baseman.
Joc Pederson – 1-for-3, 2 runs and his 20th homer. Joc is having a season that is so valuable in 15-team mixed leagues and deeper that you set and forget like Ron Popeil, but a very difficult season to roster in 12-team mixed leagues if it’s weekly and you see him platooned out twice a week.
Brandon Pfaadt – 5 1/3 IP, 4 ER, 11 baserunners, 4 Ks, ERA at 4.08. Is it me (it’s not me) or are the Marlins harder to stream against than they’d seem to be?
Kevin Gausman – 5 IP, 3 ER, 7 baserunners, 5 Ks, ERA at 4.24. I’m old enough to remember Verlander becoming a seemingly 4th fantasy starter in his early 30’s, then getting back to greatness, because I’m not under 12 years old, but Gausman needs to do that. This [motions to Gausman’s entire statline] has become a number four. This is not an off year. He needs to learn how to pitch differently.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. – 1-for-3 and his 26th homer. Cake Batter is the polar opposite of Gausman. He’s actually rediscovered what made him special. Lucky, because there’s like six Vlad Jr.’s behind him ready to take his place. “My baby batter don’t sleep.” That’s Vlad Sr.
Ernie Clement – 1-for-3 and his 8th homer, 2nd homer in a week, but I picked him up two weeks ago because he has an under 8% strikeout rate. He could hit .300 with some speed and power in the season’s final burp.
TJ Friedl – 3-for-4, 2 runs and his 10th homer. I was so out on this guy about three weeks ago, and, not to get all Mr. Prorater on ya, he’s on a 30/20 pace.
Paul DeJong – 2-for-4, 2 RBIs and his 21st homer, hitting .237. Colonel Mustard in the tape deck with a Kool Moe Dee cassette!
Seth Lugo – 7 IP, 2 ER, 7 baserunners, 8 Ks, ERA at 3.02. Nothing quite like getting a terrible lineup to put you back on track. Angels’ lineup had Niko Kavadas as their cleanup hitter. Now you have to ask yourself, “Is Grey making up that name? Is that, like, his shampoo’s name and he’s doing a goof on me? Damn it, he does have nice hair. Ugh! I have no idea!” Here’s a hint: Kavadas did not go to the plate wrapped in grape leaves. “Ugh! What kind of hint is that? Is he a Greek dessert and soaked in honey? I hate Grey!”
Zach Neto – 1-for-4 and his 18th homer, hitting .261. He was moved up to 2nd in the order when Rengifo went down to injury. Ron Washington will absolutely claim he taught Neto how to handle hitting high in the order, like it’s his doing.
Zebby Matthews – 5 IP, 2 ER, 6 baserunners, 1 K, ERA at 3.60. Welp, I picked him up for the two-start week, and this was the tougher of the two matchups, so, yeah, I’m trying to be optimistic! Shoot me!
Masataka Yoshida – 1-for-2 and his 9th homer, as he pinch-hit for Wong who was DH’ing. Yoshida is hitting near-.400 in the last month; Wong is a catcher. Oh…[walks the entire Appalachian Trail]…kay.
Jarren Duran – 1-for-4 and his 16th homer, hitting .287. There might not be a “too early” for where I’m drafting him next year.
Luis Garcia – Won’t return this year. No, not that Luis Garcia. No, not that one either. No, not him either! No! No! No! Yes, that Astros one.
Yusei Kikuchi – 5 2/3 IP, 1 ER, 7 baserunners, 7 Ks, ERA at 4.37. Funny how everyone just assumes the Astros made Kikuchi better “naturally.”
Yainer Diaz – 2-for-5, 2 runs and his 14th homer, and 7th homer in the last month, as he hits third. BDon pointed out to me on the podcast this week that Diaz is your best catcher for the last month.
JJ Bleday – 1-for-3, 2 RBIs and his 16th homer, and was a hot schmotato last week, and I’m saying it was more like JJ Bleweek.
Joe Boyle – 6 IP, 0 ER, 5 baserunners, 6 Ks, ERA at 6.21. My FAAB bids this Sunday were Zebby then Boyle. Why couldn’t people outbid me for Zebby?
Pete Fairbanks – Hit the IL with a lat strain. Taking over him as the Rays’ closer is [names everyone in their pen], but I like [whoever gets the first post-Fairbanks save]. If you have to grab someone, I’d guess Edwin Uceta, Garrett Cleavinger or Manuel Rodriguez, that order, but Uceta was pitching in the 4th inning a few weeks ago, so I really have no idea who’s getting saves.
Taj Bradley – 6 IP, 3 ER, 8 baserunners, 2 Ks, ERA at 3.55. Two strikeouts in six innings isn’t back.
Trevor Rogers – 4 2/3 IP, 3 ER, ERA at 4.92. Rogers should apologize to the Marlins and be like, “I withdraw what I said after I was traded. The O’s coaching is as bad as the Marlins’.”
Seranthony Dominguez – 1/3 IP, 1 ER, ERA at 4.24. I didn’t hear what Brandon Hyde said after the game, but I’d like to think he said something like, “Dominguez is still our guy, this was just a good hitter getting into a good pitch.” Because I would laugh at that man’s naiveté. Howl, even. Yes, Seranthony is very safe. Never given up a game before!
David Peterson – 7 IP, 2 ER, 7 baserunners, 8 Ks, ERA at 3.00. I told you he was a sleeper! [tomato thrown just misses my head] Okay, it was for 2023, but c’mon! [more tomatoes are thrown as I run out of the room] For what it’s Wuertz, Streamonator hates his next one, and I don’t fully trust it either.
J.D. Martinez – 1-for-4, 2 RBIs and his 13th homer. Who will hit less than ten homers next season, Arenado or Just Dong?
Tarik Skubal – Sounds like this past Sunday’s start could be his last start on regular rest to limit his IP. Don’t need to let the dogs loose to hear a woof after that. I love baseball, obviously, and I’d take 365 games a season, but it might be time to shorten the season to 140 games. Not just due to Skubal, but September is going to be such a mess of 4 IP starts and other pitchers being shut down.
Austin Riley – Out for the year with a fractured hand. Ever hear of Hiroo Onoda? He was a Japanese soldier in WWII who hid in the Philippines for 29 years never hearing the war ended. He surrendered in 1974, only to find out the war ended in 1945. Well, instead of surrendering, if he were have been killed in 1974, thinking the war was still going on, that’s the kind of luck the Braves have had this year. They’re supposedly going with Luke Williams at 3rd base, but the Braves should consider hiding in the Philippines until 2025.
Of course Porter Hodge gets the save for Cubs…
ROS.. X Bogarts, B Doyle, or L Butler?
10 team HTH points
Doyle.
In a 12-team dynasty, which of these injured names would you keep rostering?
Emmet Sheehan, Jose Soriano, Estuery Ruiz, Rengifo
All? I would think Soriano is kinda the lowest ceiling but still valuable. Making cuts?
Oh man, I wish Alvarez got the ball. It either would have deflected off runner or ended up in RF.
Where is Grimace?

1. Who you grabbing from the wire? Could be a bench bat or pitcher. I typically rock 3 RP’s so could pick up a reliever, maybe M. Kopech or Williams?

Kopech…2. Kutter for Stone sounds fine….
Boyd attacking the weakest part of the lineup in Soto and Judge. I guess for him it is March, but wait until he finds out how good they are in his August!
Haha
Eflin, Mahle, Kim to IL. Man, just a crazy run of injuries last 7 days.
Any shot we can change Ohtani nickname?
Markus ‘Mookie’ Betts
Shoei ‘The Bookie’ Ohtani
Max ‘Mega Millions’ Muncy?
Does he have one?
I am not sure if it official but Ive seen “Showtime” pushed.
Odd translation from the Japanese which in their language more directly translates as “Wasnt me”
Meh, that needs help, ha
“Wasn’t me”
here unicorn or black swan would be entirely apt for how those terms are often used. he really is that, at least across the entire history of baseball.
Godzilla it is!
yeah since japanese, this is good. or just any one of the godzilla universe monsters (except rodan, since rodon should get that one).
Call him tiny godzilla or giant pokemon?
H2H Redraft
Please rank top options for saves ROS:

Martinez, Erceg, Dominguez
@Grey: weekly roto redraft. how do you rank schwellenbach, gil and hunter brown ros?
Gil, Brown
Re: Kavadas
1) You made me look (I hate Grey!)
2) Interesting that a team pinch hits for the cleanup spot
Hahahaha *very smart team
Hey Grey! Would you stream Shane Baz tonight at Oakland?
No
Thank you very much!
No problem
Hi, me again!
12-team, 6×6 (OPS), how would you rank the following ROS:
Wyatt LangfordLuis GarciaBrice Turangthanks again :)
Turang, Wyatt
Thank you!
and apologies for the apparent run-on sentence. when I edited to add “ROS”, apparently the bullet-points disappeared and merged everything.
Ha, No problem
Starting Eloy and Slater over Mullins two nights in a row is a choice.
Haha
Team 3-27 so far. They pinch hit Mullins 2-2 SB. That isnt even a sonovabench. Got a term?
Please pick one
Nestor vs Clev
Tailon vs Det
Waldron vs Minny
Bido vs Rays
Yariel vs Cincy
Herz vs Rockies
All at home
Bido
Which Red Sox ROS, Need R HR RBI AVG, Yoshida or Abreu, thank you!
Yoshida
Hey Grey! Getting ready for playoffs that start next week in my 10 team 5×5 h2h. Team is a bit inconsistent on steals and I lean heavy on Elly. Looking to make some adjustments to 2B and OF to help.
2B – Cronenworth
OF (start 4): Yordan, Adolis, Harris, Wyatt, Seiya
Waiver wire:
2B/OF – B. Lowe, G Lux (2b/OF in Y!), J India, Edman (2b/ss/of), D Hamilton (2b/ss)
OF only – Friedl, J Lowe, Abreu, Cast, Toglia
FWIW, Reds look like they get 7 games next week, a home stand vs. OAK & MIL.TB is 6 games (3 @ SEA/3 vs. SD :/ )
Thanks!
Is it weekly? So it would be India over Cronenworth? Seems fine if so
It’s daily but 4 moves a week. I’ve got three more moves this week but will probably use the moves to stream next week.
You would hold Seiya over Friedl? I don’t know what to make of him at this point
I would prefer India than Friedl, especially if there’s a move limit
Points league. Is Horner droppable for Maikel Garcia, Jorge Polanco, or Geraldo Perdomo if it means making room in my budget for Michael Kopech, or is the juice not worth the squeeze?
Seems fine if it’s Hoerner for Maikel and Kopech and you need Kopech
Lane Thomas sitting again today. I’m locked for playoffs so can afford to wait 4 weeks before showtime. Do I give him time to work things out in Cleveland or try to upgrade now on the pitching side?
Sorry! Just saw the exact same question posted bellow!
May as well hold
it’s not the same if you can hold for playoffs
Such a dumb lineup. Schneeman and Big Christmas cant play defense. Then Brennan at DH. I guess. they want every leftie because only 2 righties it looks like.
Please pick one
Waldron home vs Minny
Bradford home vs Pitt
Nestor home vs Clev
Tailon home vs Det
M.Perez home vs Minny
Cody B.
SVHLD
Pick 3 please
Jorge Lopez
Seranthony
Puk
Chris Martin
In a keeper league, do you have any hope for Torkelson or move on?
not Lopez
re: Tork, move on
Lane on the bench again against another RHP. Would you finally cut bait with him for Friedl or hold tight?
Yes, go Friedl
Saw your response to the above question about Lane. I am also locked into a playoff spot. With that extra info, would you still move on to Friedl or hold to see if Lane regains everyday playtime somehow?
hold
Got it, thank you
No problem
Ever tried Million Dollar Bacon?
Never heard of it
You should try some for National Bacon Day. Do you have a First Watch in your area?
Is that a CSI show? What’s First Watch?
sounds expensive
Sounds like something the Saudis would buy…and then not eat.
Haha
Agree with you on the Marlins. Since they jettisoned Jazz they’ve been pesky.
Yeah, Edwards has been great
Tommy Edman or Lane Thomas ROS? (6×6 OBP league)
Thomas
Would you trade maikel garcia for chad green (20 teams) thanks Grey
Yes
Who do you like for SF vs Davis Martin? Wade or McCray?
Wade
Siemen for Ragans?
Works for me
surprised anybody would do this by now, guess it’s a ketel one owner freaking out.
Would you drop either of Kopech or Joyce to speculate on Jorge Lopez now that Neris is out?
Joyce
Afternoon & Happy National Bacon Lovers Day!
I need to trim the fat and cut 2 players from my squad since Pepiot was activated from the IL & Bobby Miller recalled from AAA.
Which 2 get the boot?
12-team, 6×6 (OBP/QS) league
C: Will Smith
1B: Harper
2B: Altuve
3B: Yandy Diaz
SS: Oneil Cruz

SP: P. Lopez, Steele, Blanco, Musgrove, K. Harrison, N. Cortes, ERod, Springs
RP: Hader, Bednar, Finnegan
IL: Tucker, R. Olson, Pepiot
NA (minor league stash spot): Bobby Miller
Thank you.
P.S. Who you like best for Saves moving forward:
Guess I know what I’m having for lunch….Miller and Musgrove — Ugh, I guess try Lopez, what a mess tho, ha
Why stop at lunch?
To confirm, you’d hold onto both Erod & J. Springs over Miller/ Musgrove?
And yeah, this team is set at closer, but the team I need help there is basically like throwing a dart toward a bulls(shit)eye. even if you hit, you still probably lose.
Haha, Miller looks broke and Musgrove not far off…EdRod and Springs have looked way better
Gotcha, thanks for the follow up & additional insight.
ERod going tonight @ MIA so I can watch his start too. Since Pepiot doesn’t start again till tomorrow I have the benefit of waiting.
Thanks again!
Makes sense!
Hi Grey,
Hope you are having a great week.
Thoughts on
1. Bowden Francis at home vs LAA
2. Hertz at home vs home vs CO
3. Festa at home vs ST. louis
Are these starts or sit?
Do you have any favorite (s)?
Have a great day!!
Start all….that order
Would you waive Zabby Matthews to pick up Francis?
great advice. Thanks!!
Sure
@Grey: weekly roto redraft. kenley for eovaldi seem fair? my other closers are hader and (billy) d williams.

Rosenthal reported yesterday that Skenes would reach FA earlier and count as a full year of service if he is 1st or 2nd in ROY voting. The rules in baseball are so F’d up. I have so much to say and complain about. Some things will never change.
They should just shut him down now and get it over with.
Yeah, such BS….a very dumb sport that we love haha
All sports are like that – rules that don’t make sense and manipulation to make more money.
Yeah, could be, but I only know MLB, ha
I agree to a point. MLB seems to be only of major 4 that rewards these shennigans. NFL doesnt have a minors. NBA is too shallow to hide guys in D-League. NHL would be as close to it, guys out of high school, lottery, but as far as I know there isnt any benefit/option/incentive to overmarinate/hide guys in minors.
An extra year of prime Skenes at discount is hard to blame ownership for doing it. It feels icky, but it makes sense. It shouldnt exist as an option. I am not sure why MLB lets this happen. Always pops up every few years and then players union do nothing when working on new agreement.
Yeah, I was just referring to various manipulations and rulings that commissioners and owners do, not necessarily controlling the young players. I finally have resigned myself to the fact and stopped letting it bother me. I had much hate for Bowie Kuhn, John Ziegler, Gary Bettman, Pete Rozelle etc.
Oh 100% agree then. I thought specifically the service time issue.
What always bothers me is how the player union concedes on stuff so stupidly. NFL has a stupid extra game and does it make the product better? No. What did players get? An extra paycheck? They would get that anyway. They should have asked for an extra week, and it be an extra bye. Same amount of games, ditch preseason game 4, teams get a 1st half bye and 2nd half bye. Also, demand better playing surfaces. Yeah I get turf is turf, but every year a joke game happens on grass that shouldnt have ever been played.
Yeah, the NFL players’ union is not great
I recall an article years ago like 10 at minimum about how the union was gonna play hardball and player health was important yadda yadda. Well the players gave up field conditions for like .25% of revenue split. Something silly like that. They had a list of demands and caved so easily. Most popular sport with massive revenue and their union is a bunch of wusses. At least NHL seems to have some balls. Hell I think max NHL fine is 5K. I think 10K is wrong color socks in NFL.
NFL players union is the only one weaker than MLBPA. they don’t even mostly have guaranteed contracts, that’s a LOT worse than MLB players, when you cut somebody in MLB, that player gets paid still.
they have actual rules in place in hockey if a if a player doesn’t hit a certain minimum amount of games by a certain age he hits FA quicker; directly the opposite of what the crooked economics of MLB is about. they have many more common sense rules (like they’re the first and in some ways ONLY league where they literally don’t care about drugs players take as long as those don’t give them an advantage (i.e. roids, human growth etc). the difference is: MLB is entirely about billionaires making sure they can hold out making people multimillionaires for as long as possible. no other u.s. major sport has anything like that.
no as to why the MLBPA votes IN the crooked economics: ask scherzer and his elite contract types, they’re the ones tricking the poorer MLBPA voters (players) into agreeing to all those agreements with MLB. they give little handout raises to the poor, which they take since they’re poor(er, some are actually poor in the minors, can’t afford their own health insurance etc), meanwhile the no cap both on the high side and low side enables the billionaires what they want.
Whitcomb played 3 days in a row, what is the dealio?
Have no room to play but on my bench to to upside.
Need pitching, drop him for Peterson?
Whitcomb has no place to play
he’s only playing since they’re refusing to IR bregman, so far. now as to why he’s not just playing 1B over singleton (or why dezenzo isn’t as well) you got me, HOU is ran by idiots.
Between Gil at home vs. the Guardians (Boyd) and Berrios at home vs. the Reds (Spiers) who would you rather have going when you need wins and ERA help.
Between Pivetta at the Astros and Spiers at the Blue Jays, who would you rather start if you had to start one; also needing ERA and wins
Berrios
Pivetta, neither tho
Is Gil fading down to the stretch or have faith in a bounceback tonight at home vs Guardians?
No faith in him anymore
Lol re: Kikuchi! Every new player who joins the Astros has a preliminary meeting with the team’s head of research and development, who goes by the name “Q”.
HAHA, yes
T O’Neil or W Langford ROS?
Wyatt
Wow, the Cubs just shitcanned Neris 14 games short of him reaching a $9 million contract for next season. That’s cold, man. But I guess baseball is a business, right?
Probably Lopez for saves now.
Yeah, brutal
Also – the Braves are supposedly signing Gio Urshela to a major league deal to play 3B
https://x.com/Braves/status/1825901695253041425
Ha, what a mess
wouldnt cold be one day short? Now has a cahnve somewhere else.
Haha. That was my brother’s reaction: Why so early?
CUBS trying to pretend they aren’t losing so their owner can drum down his supposed wealth as part of his land buying near stadium, part 177. he’s named after a disease, nobody should be surprised.
Hey Grey!
Neris released…. Guessing Hodge is the pickup?
I’d spec on Jorge Lopez no?
yeah
Think Lopez
can’t wait till he has another freakout, calls out his org for being the “worst” in MLB. he keeps going to the right teams to claim such is the funniest part.
Who do you think gives up more runs today, Pivetta at the Astros or Boyd at the Yankees?
Boyd
Even though the Yankees can’t hit lefties lol
If you’re starting Boyd, good luck, could work out
Morning!
1.Do you prefer T O’Neil, J Wood, or Happ in standard roto?
2. General strategy question. I have 30 starts allowed for the rest of the season. Is it generally better to stream guys now before people get shut down or in late September when rosters shift?
Wood 2. Stream now
Thanks for this strategy question. I also have limited starts.
Seager has a shot at 35 HR and fewer than 80 RBI which would beat Sosa’s 2004 season. Boom!
Rob Deer wins the 30-34 HR group with 32 HR and 64 RBI. Seager cant win that one.
Ha, that Deer line is amazing

Can you rank please (11-team 5×5 league)
Rodon vCOL (yes, COL away from Coors, but Rodon has been ass lately)
Wacha vPHI (vPHI scares me)
Lugo vPHI (same as above)
2-start DJ Herz vCOL and @ATL (Is @ATL too risky? But with their injury-depleted line-up maybe OK?)
Zebby vSTL (no K’s hurts)
EdRod @MIA (I kinda like this one)
Rodon, Lugo, Wacha, EdRod, Zebby
The Braves know that they can put Riley on the IL, right? I may be a little off here, but last time he missed about half a season for his “side” injury as they referred to it but was never placed on the IL. I’d cut him, but this is a dynasty league.
Get in line. Waiting on Soler who thought he could play last Friday.
Bregman slept on arm wrong and been out a week.
Marte had to collapse in an AB to get IL. Riley should have just laid there and made them cart off in ambulance to actually get on IL.
Haha, slept on his arm is amazing
Riley is out for the year. Those other guys will play again. Any other team would place him on the IL immediately following the news.
I am aware. Yesterday was an off day so that is most likely why no move.
nope, teams routinely, most of them, on an off day, don’t input that paperwork. get a memory or use the one you have. it’s a bonus the times any team actually does do what you’re saying is routine.
Yeah, brutal
riley they didn’t take that long on, ATL was off yesterday, pretty much all teams, most of the time, on off days don’t input IR paperwork (often other types of paperwork too, call ups etc), likely save money not having whoever inputs that paperwork even show up that day. soler is the annoying as shit case though, good chance of hitting 10 days off no at bats at all, ATL wasting a roster spot for all of those days.
and bregman too obv.
Hey Grey,
Would you hold Josh Jung and Justin Martinez down the stretch in a 12 teamer?
Thanks.
sure
Can Thairo Estrada do anything (good) in an otteneu points league down the stretch? Or is this a lost season for him? I wonder if his wrist is healthy enough to do something positive. Keep him, Amed Rosario and/or Tommy Edman for depth down the stretch?
Edman
he was pretty bad all year (maybe was hiding the wrist thing all year, completely possible), prior to news of the wrist thing.
12tm H2H pts redraft,
Sure, lose him
Pick 2 of 3:Francis, Martin Perez, Stone
Not Perez
Grey,
With all these injuries…correct me if I’m wrong but the Braves feel like a plus-plus streaming matchup now? My first reaction when seeing Atlanta on the schedule is *sit* but I think I have to re-wire my brain for the close to this season.

Please pick 2 to SIT this week:
Arozarena
McCarthy
Friedl
Steer
Josh Jung
Tyler O’Neil
Riley Greene
Soler
Nolan Jones
Soler hasnt played in a week. Isnt Friedl in a bit of a PT timeshare?
Soler, Jones
Grey, rest of season please rank Soler, Friedl, Kerry Carpenter, Happ and Doyle. Thanks!
Doyle, Happ, Friedl
Hi Grey,
Good Morning.
I have Verlander coming back and Nolan Jones.
When Jones went to IL I added Lawrence Butler.
In short, I need to drop 2 out of the 3 players:
Lawrence Butler
Nolan Jones
Eloy Jimenez
I can also drop all 3 and add Starling Marte or Gavin Lux.
Looking forward for your advise.
Thanks,
Chris
Jones, Eloy
Grey!!
Awesome!!
a. Start Herz tonight at home facing the Rockies (Gomber) in my RCL (need everything pitching)?
b. Special Norm Macdonald (RIP) quote of the day for August 20, 2024
A new Vodka on the market promises no hangover because it’s 80% pure. But before you run out and buy it does cause massive anal bleeding.
c. Chris Rock quote of the day for August 20, 2024
Mocking Megan Markle, Rock said: “Oprah, they’re so racist they wanted to know how brown the baby was going to be.”
Cheers,
Ante
THanks! A. Yes B. Haha
Grey
i can get Jarren Duran (+Joey Ortiz 2B) for CJ Abrams (+Isaac Paredes) in dynasty
JD would be TOP add @OF for next season , along with Acuna , and James Wood!
CJA is only @# and would be Great, but i have Gunnar and Elly DLC + Lindor @SS
Ortiz for Paredes? meeeh , are the add-ons
especially w Paredes gone to the Cubs + so low avg + shoulder now
then i could drop Joey and can pick a 2B on FA like Xav Edwards?
