On this weeks’ episode of the Razzball Fantasy Baseball Podcast, we move to the pitching side of things with the top 40 starting pitchers. There’s a lot of ways to go with pitcher rankings this year and we talk about how Grey has them ranked. I may interject on occasion when I have people ranked differently. Off the top, we discuss how we approach drafting pitching and how drafts have been going this year.
Then, we move on to the player rankings. There are so many things that go into pitcher rankings, it’s no surprise that Grey and I have plenty of rankings differences. Some pitchers feel safe, while others are upside, or injury risk, but we fit it all in on this episode.

Happy Spring man!
If you had these 5 in a keeper league, but could only keep 3, which 2 would you be looking to trade away? 12-team, H2H league that counts OPS if that matters.
Matt Olson, Oneil Cruz, Jarren Duran, Junior Caminero, Jazz Chisholm Jr.
Need these to be released earlier next year. Most of the drafts are already done. I know the rankings are literally posted on this site but I… but I… I CAN’T READ! *breaks down in tears, turns to run, slips on a printout of Grey’s 2025 SP rankings*
B D O N you da man. That was a wild video, I mean Grey and his green panties, the boy band injections lol wow you guys are the best!
So I am in a 12 man 5×5 that only starts 3 OF. If I told you I was so high on Heliot Ramos and Victor Robles they would be my OF2 and OF3 would you laugh?
I assume you the rest of my team would be great, I am just really high on Ramos and Robles this year wanted to ask you since I have such a crush on your knowledge ;) LOL
hahaha Sometimes you just gotta roll with it when Grey throws these things out there. Trying to outdo Grey Albright isn’t going to happen.
I have no problem with that at all. I wouldn’t ignore obvious OF values if they fall to you, but I really like Ramos and Robles as well. And with only 3 OF, you should be able to find replacements easily if either gets injured or doesn’t quite perform like you and I think they will. Just be careful, sometimes when you wait on specific players, it only takes one person in the draft to jump one of them and you have to be able to pull a Ross, PIVOT!
Thanks my man, you and Grey are my favorites of the industry!
Hey my man. in a 12 team roto league that starts SP/SP/RP/RP/P/P/P/P
5 bench spots and has a 1385 IP limit, how would you attack this while drafting?
It always depends on how the draft unfolds to some extent, but I’d try and get 4 SPs out of the top 50. I’m fine waiting until 80 or 90 to take your first and loading up to some extent, but I know Grey prefers grabbing one in the 40-60 range. Don’t need an elite RP b/c they will prob be overdrafted, but a couple solid closers and a speculative one or 2 (like Joyce, Uceta, Hodge types).
The RCL IP limit is 1400, 12 man w/ 3 benches and while I hit that max every season, it’s not a number that you have to really chase. Make good matchup choices and load up late in the season if you have to find some innings. Good luck!
