Typically I lead every Monday with a solid Starting Pitcher pick but since today’s starters are underwhelming at best, we’re going to concentrate on some juicy stacks.  Michael Pineda, or the Human Pinata, is in Coors Junior and he’s given up 7 long balls to RHB.  Stack 1, Paul Goldschmidt, Welington Castillo, Jean Segura, Yamany Tomas, Brandon Drury, and Jake Lamb ( I know he’s a lefty, but he’s been raking).  Manaea Mania came and went, thankfully I dropped him after his second start because he coughed up 8 ER last time out against Boston.  Unfortunately Texas doesn’t have too many RHB, so this is more of a mini stack, Ian Desmond, Adrian Beltre and Ryan Rua.  I’d really like to jump all over Jon Niese tonight as he’s already let up 8 HR’s to RHB.  Too bad Atlanta only has Jeff Francoeur and a couple other scrubs.  The final stack of the night is against the cobbler, Matt Shoemaker.  Anytime this guy has taken the mound post 2014 he’s been crushed by the long ball.  I’m crushing on Joc Pederson, Corey Seager and Yasmani Grandal tonight.  As I mentioned, the pitching isn’t ideal tonight, but there’s a few matchups that could help us cash in tonight, especially if you want to go big risk, big reward.  Tonight is the debut of our new Razzball Exclusive League on DraftKings, so be sure to check it out!

Kenta Maeda, SP: $9,700 – The Angels don’t strikeout a ton, but their offense is in the bottom five of the league.  Maeda has a lot of off speed stuff that should net 6-7 K’s against the Angels struggling offense.

Robbie Ray, SP: $6,800 – Yes, he’s in Coors Junior, but he’s going against the LH heavy offense of the Yankees. The Yanks own the leagues worst road splits scoring only 38 runs and hitting a paltry .216.  Mix in a decent lefty who’s averaging 10.5 K/9, I’ll take it.

Jose Berrios, SP: $8,000 – High risk, high reward.  He’s facing a tough Tigers line-up, but they are in the top three in K’s vs RHP.  If Berrios can keep his composure for the entire game he may throw up double digit K’s.

Jordan Zimmermann, SP: $10,300 – Steady as they go.  This is probably tonight’s safest play as Zim has been great for the Tigers.  I didn’t want anything to with him this season as he moved to the American League, but he’s been solid raking up 5 W’s and a 1.50 ERA.

Adam Conley, SP: $8,200 – The Phillies struggle against LHP as well, .216 with only 30 runs.  Conley has been averaging a little better than 9 K/9 and he should be able to put up decent stat line against the Phil’s.

Yasmani Grandal, C: $3,400 – He’s played the last three games, so be sure that the Dodgers aren’t resting him tonight.

Welington Castillo, C: $3,400 – The Beef’s power game has been absent over the last 10 games, but he’s hitting for average racking up 13 hits.  I think the Pinata will help him get his power game back on track.

Paul Goldschmidt, 1B: $4,800 – Gold usually doesn’t fall this low, so enjoy it while you can.

Justin Bour, 1B: $3,700 – Bour’s your guy if you need some discounted power.  Looks like having Bonds as a hitting coach is paying off for him as he’s locked in right now, 3HR’s over the last seven games.

Jean Segura, 2B: $4,200 – Possible NL CBP of the year just keeps on putting up stats.

Dustin Pedroia, 2B: $4,100 – Possible AL CBP of the year as he finally looks healthy.  He’s got 3 HR’s in the last ten games, but he’ll probably smash a few doubles and score a couple runs in tonight’s match-up.

Adrian Beltre, 3B: $4,100 – Manaea Mania is about to infect the Rangers line-up and that means lots of counting stats.

Jake Lamb, 3B: $3,600 – “Clap your hands everybody, and everybody clap your hands.  We’re Lambda, Lambda, Lambda and Omega Mu” Tri Lambs.

Corey Seager, SS: $4,400 – One of my main crushes hit 2 bombs last night and 1 the night before.  I can’t believe people were actually asking Grey if they should drop him.

Jung Ho Kang, SS/3B: $3,600 – Kang has came back with a Bang, 4 Hr’s in his first eight games back.

Ian Desmond, OF: $4,000 – He might have a stronger case than Pedroia for CBP of the year.  He’s got 5 multi hit games in the last six, oh and for good measure he mixed in a bomb and 4 RBI yesterday.

Joc Pederson, OF: $4,000 – Joc’s been a little too quiet over the last seven games.  He’s got a 5 star match-up against the cobbler and he’s due for a monster game.

Mookie Betts, OF: $4,700 – Ventura has been a mess this year and Mookie collects extra base hits like the Cookie Monster.

Giancarlo Stanton, OF: $5,100 – He’s been ICE cold over the last ten games going 5/34 with 1 HR.  He finally got one out yesterday and this guy likes to hit them in bunches.

I’m Only Happy When It Rains

The Bos vs KC game doesn’t look like it’s going to go off as there’s a 90% chance of rain.  Everything else looks great, just be sure to keep an eye on the Min vs Det as there’s a 25% chance of getting some wet stuff.
