What a dumb park the A’s and Brewers played in last night. And I loved it. Until we have baseball on the moon, this is the best we’re gonna have. What are they thinking that they’re moving this team to Vegas? It’s so crazy, I love it so much. You thought Bing Bong Stadium in SacTown was going to be the “You wanna see helicopters I’ll show you helicopters” guy from Goodfellas? Vegas is going to be the Home Run Derby every game. Bring out the money balls for extra time. For every five homers, we get an extra inning in Vegas. At the park last night, the dirt on the infield looked like cement. That park did not look ready to host a MLB game. Who thought this up? Why? I’m laughing very loudly. Any hoo! Shea Langeliers (3-for-7, 2 RBIs) got things started (I’m seriously still laughing they played a game in that park, what were they thinking) with his 17th homer. Next up, we had Nick Kurtz (3-for-6, 3 runs, 3 RBIs) hit his 13th and 14th homer; Zack Gelof (2-for-6, 2 runs) with his 7th homer; Jonah Heim hit ’em with the Heim for his 4th homer, then Tyler Soderstrom (3-for-4, 4 RBIs) with his 9th and 10th homer. On the other side of the diamond (was it a diamond, it looked more pockmarked than Manuel Noriega’s face), Brice Turang (1-for-6, 2 runs, 3 RBIs) hit his 10th homer, Jake Bauers (2-for-4, 3 RBIs) hit his 12th homer, William Contreras (3-for-6, 3 runs, 3 RBIs) hit his 6th homer, and Andrew Vaughn (4-for-6, 4 RBIs) hit his 2nd. The rest of those guys are obvious, but Vaughn’s the most interesting because he seemingly broke out last year and this year? He’s actually hitting the ball harder and directly into the ground. It’s still early on the batted ball profile (he’s only at 27 games played). He’s not striking out at all, and seems like a solid buy low. If nothing else, get in on every single A’s and Brewers player while they’re in Bing Bong South, the park where they 100% should not be playing. Anyway, here’s what else I saw yesterday in fantasy baseball:
Max Muncy – 1-for-5, 1 run, 2 RBIs as he was activated from the IL. Just in time to play at Super Bing Bong in Vegas. Yes, this is Ma’s Muncy.
Kyle Harrison – 2 1/3 IP, 8 ER, ERA at 2.72. We found the antidote to Harrison’s great pitching, the oxygen they pump into the casinos and stadiums in Vegas.
Victor Scott II – Optioned to the minors. Would be cool if they had a Victor Scott III to turn to, then–Actually, they should have a lineup of Victor Scott I through Victor Scott IX. Alas, neither the Cards nor us are that lucky. They’ll instead turn to Nathan Church, who was activated. He was 5/4/.247 in 146 ABs prior to his shoulder injury, so, if he’s healthy, could be something for deeper leagues.
Matt Shaw – Activated from the IL. That’s preseason sleeper, Matt Shaw–[dodges tomato] Okay! Okay! He needs playing time.
Trey Mancini – 3-for-4, 1 run, 1 RBI as he was brought up by the Angels, after not appearing in a MLB game since 2023. Angels look at the league like it’s one big giant Antiques Roadshow. Handing Trey Mancini to an appraiser, “What do I have here, madam?” “Well, it looks like a 2019 relic, made famous in Baltimore. Doesn’t have much value, but it’s not as bad as your other jewelry box with Nick Madrigal’s face on it.”
Grayson Rodriguez – 5 1/3 IP, 2 ER, 8 baserunners, 6 Ks, ERA at 8.10. Antiques Roadshow appraiser again, “Wow, you do have a lot of heirlooms from Baltimore. This pitcher looks like it’s held together by crazy glue, and very fragile.”
Kirby Yates – 1 IP, 1 ER, ERA at 5.23, and another blown save. Antiques Roadshow appraiser, “Why do you even have this? This isn’t an antique. This is a Snapple cap that says, ‘Better luck next time.'”
Zach Neto – 1-for-4 and his 13th homer, and 3rd homer in three games. Antiques Roadshow appraiser again, “Oh, this piece is actually worth something. What’s that, you wanna trade it for Michael Conforto?”
Spencer Arrighetti – 6 IP, 3 ER, 8 baserunners, 7 Ks, ERA at 2.21. I don’t think selling a guy, who is clearly due for regression is possible, but maybe you’re better at it than me. Look at me having faith in you!
Richie Martin Jr. – Traded to the Rockies. Livin’ la vida Rockies.
Konnor Griffin – Won’t return as soon as possible, after visiting with Dr. Meister regarding his flexor strain. Dr. Meister, the Tommy Johnster, the Out-A-Year-ster, the I-Don’t-Want-To-Hear-Anymore-ster.
Max Scherzer – Will return on Wednesday. Color me interested if he’s returning in a DeLorean from 2013.
Ernie Clement – 2-for-4 and his 7th homer, and 2nd homer in three games. Oh, by the by, Vlad Jr. has three homers on the year. Fantastic!
Adolis Garcia – 1-for-4, 2 RBIs and his 7th homer, 3rd homer in a week. Zombino thrusts his hand through the soil, and I reach to help them up, but it waves me off. They grunt, “I’ll stay in the dirt, but I need a straw to breathe.”
Cristopher Sanchez – 7 IP, 2 ER, 5 baserunners, 10 Ks, ERA at 1.54. Two earned runs?! What a bum!
Marcelo Mayer – 1-for-2 and his 3rd homer, hitting .222. When I say rostering Marcelo Mayer in fantasy is like basically rostering no one at that position, you gotta trust me on that. It is. Also, he has the same number of homers as Vlad Jr.
Connelly Early– 4 2/3 IP, 2 ER, ERA at 3.30. Don’t usually blurb starters who can’t go 5 IP, unless it’s a blow up, and I don’t know what this is. Early threw 96 pitches and couldn’t go five? Have they stopped having gym classes in elementary schools?
Yandy Diaz – 1-for-3, 2 RBIs and his 12th homer. The narrative: Yandy was only a home run hitter last year because of George Steinbrenner Field? Ixnay on the Andy-yay. Andy-Yay is actually a good nickname. Might eff around and start calling him that.
Logan Webb – 8 IP, 1 ER, 5 hits, zero walks, 7 Ks, ERA at 3.88. Webb gem!
Jung Hoo Lee – 4-for-5, 2 runs, hitting .33 and hitting near-.500 in the month of June. Excuse me, June Hoo Lee! Hot schmotato alert!
Keaton Winn – 2/3 IP, 3 ER, ERA at 3.23, as he blew the Giants save and Clayton Beeter (1 1/3 IP, 2 ER, 3.93 ERA) pitched about as badly and got the win, as he pitched the 8th, as Gus Varland (1 IP, 0 ER, 4.01 ERA) got the save. What I’m saying is these teams don’t have closers. They haven’t all year and still don’t.
Walker Buehler – 4 2/3 IP, 1 ER, 10 baserunners, 4 Ks, ERA at 4.33. I wouldn’t start Buehler in any mixed league, not even if the Streamonator liked him. Just cold ass facts.
Freddy Fermin – 2-for-3, 2 RBIs and his 3rd homer, and 3rd homer in three games. Freddy got fingered as the hottest schmotato in the land.
Andrew Abbott – 6 IP, 3 ER, 6 baserunners, 6 Ks, ERA at 4.10. Abbott hasn’t allowed more than three earned runs since April 24th. I bet I dropped him on April 25th. Hmm, very nice.
Paul Goldschmidt – 1-for-4, 3 RBIs and his 8th homer. Au Shizz!
Ryan McMahon – 1-for-2 and his 7th homer, hitting .211. Member the Wandy Line? If any pitchers were worse than Wandy Rodriguez, they weren’t worth rostering? Utter nonsense. With that said (here we go!), if any hitters are hitting below Ryan McMahon for average, they should be sent to the minors. That’s you, Manny Machado.
Will Warren – 4 1/3 IP, 2 ER, 5 baserunners, 5 Ks, ERA at 3.28. Not the best start, obviously, but he’s pitching overall about as well as it seems, which is a usable number four starter. We don’t talk about the Yankees much when it comes to good pitching development, but they don’t suck.
Angel Martinez – 1-for-4, 2 RBIs and his 10th homer. Hey, if it ain’t Mr. April! Dave Winfield called, he wants his moniker back!
Gavin Williams – 5 IP, 3 ER, 7 baserunners, 5 Ks, ERA at 3.32. He has a whole lot going on in his game log. It’s like lights out, lights out, lights out, lights out, OH CRAP WHAT IS THAT, lights out, lights out, lights out. Yesterday, was just meh. A new look.
Chris Bassitt – Hit the IL with back discomfort. Tough blow for the O’s big offseason acquisition.
Josh Naylor – 2-for-4, 2 runs, 4 RBIs and his 7th homer, a grand slam. He was the 25th best 1st baseman on the Player Rater coming into this game, and that is not too good. Still early for him though, and I believe.
Emerson Hancock – 5 IP, 5 baserunners, 3 Ks, ERA at 2.74. Was about as shaky as I’ve seen him, but Hancock held on. Uh, I mean, Hancock didn’t come up short–scratch that too. I mean don’t scratch Hancock–ya know what, forget it.
J.P. Crawford – Hit the IL, after being hit by Framber. Can we suspend Framber please? Not because he hit J.P. but because I don’t want to start him and I keep doing it.
Colt Emerson – A late scratch with a sore back. Mutters under breath, “Not gonna be a Boomer…” Gasping, blurts out, “But a 20-year-old sat out with a sore back in the home of Cal Ripken Jr.!” I had to make a tough call. It was between Colt and Chandler Simpson, who is also nursing an injury. I went with Colt because I realized whichever move I make is going to backfire. Eat Arby’s!
Starting to struggle to find reasons to hang on to Taj…
I’m watching the Jays’ post-game interview after they walked it off. Cake Batter always gives the “hero” the Gatorade jug/water treatment. That’s like $400k a jug dump…good gig.
May as well have left Eovaldi in!
Soda for Harrison fair or too much?
Fair
What’s good, Grey? 12-team, H2H, K/9, OBP Keeper League (only keep six players). Here is my hitting roster construction…
C – Jensen
1B – Vladdy Jr.
2B – Keaschall
3B – Caminero
SS – McGonigle
INF – Yandy
OF – Yordan
OF – Chourio
OF – Soderstrom
OF – Benge
UTIL – Jung
IR – Griffin
I’m tired with Keaschall and have targeted Turang (as I think he’s far and away the best 2B). Owner says Turang is “elite” and a keeper (in our league) and any offer would have to begin with Caminero who is “only slightly better than Turang”.
What do you think? Trade Caminero/Keaschall FOR Turang/some other pitching asset?
Turang goes into 2B, McGonigle to 3B and Griffin to SS once healthy.
Hi to Ted!
Ted says hi! I like the trade idea!

How long are we waiting for River Ryan?
June 17th, 2034
Luke Keschall, Gleyber or Gelof ROS in a cats H2H league?
Gelof
Edwin Arroyo or Carrigg?
Carrigg
Thanks
I saw below you preferred Carrigg to Simpson. Drop Simpson or Arroyo for Carrigg?
Carrigg
Sorry. I meant if I have both Simpson and Arroyo, who would you drop for Carrigg?
Arroyo
That is what I thought. Thanks.
No problem
No problem
Colt Emerson or Stott at MI going forward?
Colt, assuming healthy
Bad relievers are killing me! Here’s one for the glossary: anytime a bullpen screws your SP (last night it was Webb) out of a win or a QS, you got “pigpenned.”
Haha
Would you drop CHandler Simpson to pick up Carrigg
Yes
I try to keep up with all the news to gain an edge week to week. I ready everything I can on fantasy baseball. Most of it is obvious and therefore useless (“Max Meyer is an under-the-radar ace! Get him now!), while not a peep about a real insight; the Vegas angle this week. I subscribe to Razzball because it’s a cut above that noise, so apologies if I missed something, but I didn’t know about this Vegas thing and if I had it would have changed by lineup.
If you subscribe then you have the tools which factor in all parks and weather automatically
Touche
Grey 12 team mixed roto, was holding Baez, such a stud but the call up…?
Would you drop him for Braden Montgomery or hold. I am in 2nd place do not need a hitter, yet at least haha
I’d go with the guy who’s in the majors
Hi Grey – I’m in a 10 team H2H league so the waiver wire has some great options.
Jake Bauers
Brandon Marsh
Jong Ho Lee
Matt McLain
Logan Henderson
Noah Cameron
I have Spencer Jones, Curtis Mead, Sam Antonacci, Reid Detmers as bench players. Let me know what swaps you would make?
Thanks,
LG
Bauers, Marsh, Lee, McLain over all 4
Thanks Grey – for OF you like Marsh over Lee?
Yes
Grey,
Great as always!
Thanks!
Webb, Weathers 2. Randy for Webb
10 Team Dynasty 6×6 OBP/SLG and K-BB/QS – 40 Man Roster and $260 Salary Cap. I am winning my league handily so looking to the future.
It does not look like Rice will retain C eligibility but he looks like he will be fine as a 1B. Would you trade J.Naylor (13) B.Lowe (9) and Springer (18) or E.Diaz (7) for Langeliers (9)?
Here are my hitters right now:
C – Goodman
C – Rice
1B – Naylor
2B – Lowe
SS – Witt Jr.
3B – Chisholm
MI – Henderson
CI – Stewart
OF – JRod
OF – Alvarez
OF – Chourio
OF – Wood
OF – Springer
UT – Ohtani
UT – Neto
B – Judge
B – Murakami
B – McGonigle
B – Eldridge
B – LuBob
B – Troy
B – Casas
Dominguez was dropped so I am looking to drop Troy for him. Would you rather have Dominguez or Royce Lewis – I finally gave up and dropped Lewis a few weeks ago but I have a hard time quitting him.
You’re trading all those guys for Langeliers when you have the top 2 catchers? No
I am looking towards next year when Rice will have to move to 1B. I have this season wrapped up.
Okay, sounds fine but not with Edwin….
Royce over Troy, Dominguez over Casas…
Thank you – do you think Naylor, Lowe and Springer is fair or am I giving up too much?
What would you bid on Lewis and Dominguez – $50 FAAB – I have $36 left
Seems like a lot, but if you’re winning in a walk, I guess it is what it is
Meh, a few bucks, maybe $1 or $2
Okay – I appreciate the input. I could offer a pitcher instead of Naylor – here are my pitchers – would you substitute one for Naylor?
Skubal
Crochet
C. Sanchez
Misiorowski
Woo
Ragans
Wheeler
Schwellenbach
Ashcraft
Sasaki
Bradish
Lodolo
Painter
S. Hernandez
R. Ryan
C.Smith
J. Duran
E. Diaz
wow, your team is insane…Schwellenbach? Ragans? Lodolo?
Thanks – I was leaning towards Lodolo when I asked the question so I will pivot to him over Naylor – appreciate your help as always!
No problem
Gonna skip over Braden Montgomery Grey and grab Cole Carrigg. I need speed plus think Montgomery is just kinda ok, like Waldschmidt was, just meh but ok for baseball but not fantasy
Am I was off base?
Nah, it’s fine
Mead or Chapman in a 12tm OBP league?
Mead
Are you thinking strong regression for Harrison and his last start was the start of it? Or just a blip?
blip
C. Carrigg just called up and in the starting lineup tonight. With some games played yesterday options are slim of who I could sit for the half week roster lock.
Standard 5×5 NL only roto – do I sit his teammate T. Johnston to try and catch some of the promotion adrenaline ? TJ has been pretty solid contributing across categories (not HR)
Sure
trade side. twins joe ryan for texas jack leiter and twins taj bradley. money value on trade analyzer shows not close. yet projections not far apart. thanks for the help
Ryan side
Bench bats, ROS. Busch, Jung, Marsh, MH2, Steer
Busch, Harris
Next month or two: Jax or Keider Montero?
Neither? Jax
Would you trade Tatis for Judge in a points league?
Yes
Which RP do I drop to activate Whitlock? Dynasty/keeper SV+HLD league where saves are worth 2x.
Robert Suarez, Mason Montgomery, Bryan Hudson, Jose Ferrer, or Abner Uribe? Or is Whitlock the drop?
Thanks!
Ferrer
What sort of closer or starter (if any lol) could I reasonably expect in return for Yelich?
Baker? Meyer? Messick? Gavin W? Chase B?
Aroldis?
Munoz maybe?
All good suggestions- thanks!
Sure
One more, unrelated, while I have you. (My) Kirby or (his) J Naylor?
Rest of my staff is Brown (IL), Woodruff (IL), Eovaldi, Hancock, Ed-Cab, Abbott, Taj, Sheehan, Ryne (prob a streamer).
Would be benching some pretty good players on the daily to fit Naylor in tho but that’s my problem.
QS and OBP 12er.
Naylor, it’s fair
Got ‘im (Munoz).
Thoughts on Bubic? About to come off the IL.
ROS Rater is not enthused.
I like Bubic, I’d start him after his 1st start back if he looks good
We think Lara is getting called up imminently now that he got paid?
I’d guess so
OPS league: do you like Ward or Vaughn ROS?
(as a UTIL bat)
Ward
If I can’t pull off that Ragans x Langeliers trade, would you give Ragans to buy low on Rooker?
Yes
Grey,
Drop either for Braden Montgomery:
Mead, Stowers
Redraft 10 teamer OBP H2H.
Thanks!
Mead
Kyle Tucker or Riley Greene this week. Thx.
Riley
Considering how anemic he has been this year, I haven’t seen anyone mention Eugenio Suarez in the comments in a while. Just wondering if I am the only one still holding onto the corpse of Eugenio?
Nope.
But what else can you do? You know he’ll get hot as soon as you drop him.
Yeah
Exactly! Plus, there aren’t many better alternatives at 3B. I am currently rolling with Grandma’s Muncy (LAD), who has been serviceable at least.
The best available are Paredes, Jung, or N. Marte, who has already sat twice in the 5 games since he returned.
Yeah, meh
Meh, he was out for a month
Which start do you like more?
Trevor Rogers vs. Sea
Trevor Rogers vs. SD
Sea
Stick with Jensen as temp Baldwin replacement or drop for Alvarez (back today)?
Hold
G…. 10 team 6×6 head to head cats.
Just got offered: Skubal for Langford, Max Meyer, Florintino.
Take it or keep the 3 I have?
Thanks sir!
I’d take Skubal
Good sir…great stuff, as always. I will see your Noriega pock mark and counter with a Robert Davi (Special Agent Johnson…no, the other one).
PS – as winner of the “BB King” glossary naming, do I contact Rudy for my Lee Press-On Nails and Rice-A-Roni package?
-Zod
It’s in the mail!
H2H keeper league. Thoughts on trading Moniak and Arrigheti for Joe Ryan in a keeper league. Moniak and Arrighetti would be only keeper options for next year but have equal or better options where would be unlikely to keep either. I know you have encouraged selling high on Arrighetti, My SP staff is Sale, Eovaldi, Hancock, Arrigheti, Soroka, Early Urena – trying to condense the dead weight for a run this year while in first. Thoughts?
I’d take Ryan
Would you move a $10 Ragans (and Alejandro Kirk) in a 12 team 2C keeper to get a nonkeeper shea bangeliers? Wouldn’t be keeping any of these guys but Ragans could be attractive to a person building for 2027
I’d take Langeliers and run
thanks!
No problem
I was offered either Arrighetti or Ranger Suarez for Trent Grisham. Would you take either? I’m leaning against, but interested on whether you think it’s fair.
Thanks!
Ranger
Thanks! Would you prefer any of Cavalli, Warren, or Elder instead if I can get them? Or go with Ranger?
Ranger
Sounds good, thanks again
No problem
Plz rank in vacuum: J Lee, N Gonzales, M Chapman
Add Gelof to the list plz…
Lee, Gelof
You did
Rank ROS: Braden,Noelvi, Waldschmidt and Canzone? Top 3. Thanks!
Braden, Canzone
Wald
I know this isn’t how it works but here’s hoping Montgomery callup kicks Rockies into promoting Carrigg!
Ha
We did it!
Wow!
Your reverse jix worked …
Haha!
But Carrigg will sit after they sign Matt Kemp LOL
Haha
Trade M Vargas for Woo if pitching help needed? Thanks
Sounds fair
Hi Grey; 12 team roto league with OBP instead of batting average. Would you drop Jorge Soler for Braden Montgomery?
Yes
Hey Grey,
I currently have Riley at 3B, with Mead serving as my one Bench player that can cover a few positions…of late, I have been playing Mead at 3B and sitting Riley. Would you drop Riley and play Mead every day at 3B? Alternatively, would you drop Riley for any of the following: Paredes, Meidroth, Jung, Arenado, Chapman, Dubon, Bichette?
Who would drop when Mize comes off the IL: Cabrera, Burke, Melton (only if dropped from rotation)?
Thanks!
Burke
I wouldn’t drop Riley
Maikel Garcia, Ernie Clement or Alex Bregman ROS?
Maikel
Howdy
Gelof or Paredes?
Is Ginn for reals?
Tx
Paredes
Ginn is a streamer
12 team h/h points redraft

Grey
I need power
looking at a Montgomery pick up
Who would you drop for him
Waldschmidt or Noelvi Marte,
Marte
!) I realize Marte isnt starting every game but does he have more power than Waldy?
2) Do you think with Lawler coming back soon that Waldschmidt might see a platoon situation.
The Sox calling up B.Montgomery. Do I want him over Bolter, Burger, JH Lee, in a 12 teamer?
Over Bolte
Hey Grey, the camera angle in Vegas was so atrocious, it really was hard to watch… Any thoughts on Kyle Harrison last night? I thought the umpire was really bad as Kyle was dotting the edges of the zone while they were called balls.
The Brewers defense betrayed him big time with two misplayed balls by the infield (how are those not considered errors?) along with William Contreras’s inability to challenge the umpire on what should have been strike 3 (I think it happened more than once), inning over before the wheels really started to come off.
I’m sure nobody is questioning Harrison ROS but his box score was inflated due to crappy play by the Brewer defense. Anyway, I’m just venting.
Meh, it was a terrible park
I still can’t believe they sent Abbott back out in the 7th at 93 pitches in a 3-2 game.
The whole time after the 6th, I thought “ok, nice QS, couple runs, hope the bullpen doesn’t blow this.”
I now realize I should have been more specific in my wishcasting. Sonofa-
Haha, MLB managers give ulcers
Which one for ROS- Busch or M. Muncy (LA)?
Thank you
Busch
Intermediate term. Anthony Kay or Griffin Jax?
Jax
but i’d look at matchups
I know. But weekly FAAB league and needed for a few weeks.
With games in Vegas all this week, I’m really hoping you’ll somehow find a way to work in a Nick Papagiorgio reference into a blurb haha
Hahahaha
Oh, that’s good, Little Jerry…I then want Gilly from Philly included too.
You rang?
Please rank

10 team, keep 6 forever. I’m punting this year. Got offered one definite offer and one soft offer for rooker. 1- Neto (straight up) or 2- Roman Anthony and a pick for next year?
Which to take? And if Anthony offer doesn’t go thru do you still take Neto?
Neto seems solid
Never mind he swapped and said Neto for Tucker and I said no.
So what about giving rooker for Anthony?
Meh
H2H Pts league scoring IP, Ks, negatives for Hits, Walks, HRs trusting Rogers again vs. Sea or bench (12tm deep rosters)
Trust
Would you trade Arrighetti for:
1) Robbie Ray
2) Alcantara
Are they fair trades?
Thanks
I’d hold if those were my options, but Sandy might be ok
Thanks, just worried about regression based on peripherals…
Can you give me a few SP’s that you might target in a deal?
Cease? Rodon? Tolle? Eovaldi?
Guess i missed the memo that the athletics were going to be playing the next 6 or so games at the AAA vegas location. is this the only time this year or do you know if they are going to do this more often whent the AAA team is on the road?
Think just this once this year
Grey. I need to apologize to the gentleman asking about Kyle Harrison yesterday. I mistakenly said he was an auto start and he promptly got rocked last night. I’m gonna leave the advice up to you from now on. Thank you
Haha, that was me. You still gave the right advice, I think that park had a lot to do with it but appreciate the input always. No worries.
Meh, I thought he was a start too
I don’t think Kyle pitched as bad as the box score suggested either, they did time up a couple of his fastballs really well and sent them over the wall but the Brewers defense was really bad. I don’t know how they weren’t considered errors but they botched two easier infield plays. Also, Contreras should have challenged multiple called balls which would have been overturned (the umpire wasn’t calling the balls dotting the edges strikes), one of them happened on a two strike count which would have ended the inning before the wheels started to come off.
I saw that about the catcher. Why in hell did he not challenge the balls that were called strikes? Good point there Aaron!
Haha
Do you believe in Michael Harris’ play for the rest of the year?
Which side do you land on in a trade of Michael Harris and Max Muncie for Trea Turner and Austin Riley?
*Muncy (LAD(
I’d be more concerned about Muncy’s play…trade seems fair, I’d take Trea
Need to drop one utl/bench bat, standard 12-team roto: Bregman, N. Marte, Paredes, Vinnie P.
Marte
Good Morning, Grey!
I didn’t have Chad Patrick with the save on my Bingo card, but I’ll take it. I almost benched him just in case he was called for multiple innings.
Anywho, I’m about to accept the following trade in my 10-Tm, NL, HTH, OBP Keeper($280).
My Stewart (18), Dansby, and Ewing for his Busch (25), Benge (7), and Perdomo.
Mostly worried about losing future Sal, but I’d keep Busch in his place. My 5th keeper before this trade was Wetherholt at $23, but would you agree that a $7 Benge has the chance to be a much better value next year?
Your thoughts on doing this for this year and next year would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
Wish I started him — even better Ashby didn’t get another BS win….unless you have him, then sorry…Busch side
11-team, 5×5 league with weekly lineups.
Currently using NoelviM, Stowers, Varsho, Gelof.
Available on the wire are: Nick Gonzalez, Arenado, TJ rumfeld, ECarter, Meidroth, Troy Johnston, NNunez, Kody Clemens, AuSchizz, AroldisG, Blaze, Mangum…
1) Top three from those available?
2) Advise any replacements from what I currently have?
Thanks.
1. i don’t think an AroldisG exists
Sorry, that was meant to be Adolis Garcia
Varsho and Stowers for Adolis and AuShizz
Saw yesterday that you consider Yamamoto a sell. How come? And what’s a realistic return on a pitcher of his caliber?
His Ks are way down, he’s a top 5 SP, should get a top 5 SP value in a trade
My 12 team H2H with OPS and TB is really struggling.
Worth dropping LuGuJr, Rooker (hah!), Machado (haha), Maikel (how did all my picks flop?), or Joc for him?
I imagine Joc of that group, but he is the only one hitting.
(Just let Vinnie Spaghetti loose to really paint the picture of futility on this team)
Thanks.
worth dropping for him? Who is him
Hah. Was too busy whining about my garbage team to even mention I was eyeing Andrew Vaughn.
Thanks.
Wow, is like one of my teams (except for Machado), where Murakami (rnd 20) and M. Vargas (FA) have been my best hitters by far.
Grey, you buying all A’s players in keeper leagues?
I know they wont play in that stadium, but any insights on how that ball will travel/park that they will play at in Vegas?
Most, sure…Butler looks awful
It’s going to play fantastic
Still have Ginn from last weeks start. Would you start him today vs the brew crew in bing gong south stadium or stay far away?
Far away
Vaughn is interesting but he has been sitting vs righties. Do you think that changes?
Hopefully
Fighting for first in my roto league. Pitching is where I can gain a bunch of points and hopefully separate myself. My hitting is strong, save fore steals, as I have both Yordan and Ohtani. The owner of Sanchez is willing to move him for one of those 2 guys. I want to make the deal but struggling over which to let go. Ohtani frees up my UTIL spot, but the added SB would be nice to have. Though the offense seems to be down a tick now that he’s pitching more. Either way my offense will slip a bit but I think the benefit is there. Below are my points totals. Thoughts?
Sanchez for Yordan works for me
With Hunter Brown coming back in the next couple of weeks, is flipping Hancock for D. Baldwin close enough? We will call this trade: the ‘Cock and Balds trade.
Yes
J-Rod or Kurtz?
Meh, flip a coin, prolly JRod
If I needed Runs/BA, think J-Rod ?
Not really, Kurtz is a .290 hitter…JRod adds 30 steals
Good morning,
As someone who rosters Kyle Harrison, I admit I got complacent. He’s been set-it-and-forget-it for so long that I didn’t pay Bing Bong the proper respect. BUT… I will say the official scorer could have helped out more than he did. An Ortiz misplay correctly marked as an error (which would have shaved at least one earned run off his ledger, possibly more) was changed shortly afterward to a hit. It was a bad outing regardless, but it’s those little things that shake salt in the wound.
Your pal, Mookie (Mr. Best! if you’re nasty) has been glued to my bench for about a week. Luckily I started him for his two-homer game, but his offense has been retired since then. Any chance he’s still shaking off rust given his late start? Still possible that a blistering July/August is in his future? I know you were puzzled by him and that he “looks bad” in the recent podcast with B Don, but I’m curious to hear if you had any further thoughts on Mookie (and what to do with him) going forward?
Thank you, sir!
I’ve been starting Sam Antonacci over Mookie
I said not to draft him, said in the last podcast he looked cooked, not sure what else to say, maybe a dead cat bounce happens?
So you’re saying there’s a chance… HAHA!
Haha
Had Harrison on my bench all day because of bing bong, and then put him in at the last minute. Awesome!
How are we feeling about eovaldi today at Kansas City? He has not been good lately.
If the start is poor as well, do I drop him for Cameron or Gage jump?
I’d start Eovaldi, let’s see how it goes
Hi Grey. I am in a 12 team keeper league I own Tucker and am wondering if it’s time to move on and if so what is fair value for him. For next year he can be kept at an 8th round price but what tier of player would you go after if their keeper round is also good ? Thanks
8th round is pretty good price
So you’d hang onto Tucker and hope for better days?
I guess, what are you getting for him?
That’s what I’m asking you – would you move him for name value if you think he’s cooked for even like a Soderstrom-ish type?
Maybe, it depends what you’re getting…Are you getting Konnor Griffin in round 29? Then sure
No, I’d prob be getting like a 3rd round cease or a 15th Soderstrom or something like that
These don’t move needle for me
Ok thanks
No problem
12 team dynasty 5×5 add Blaze Alexander? and drop Spencer Jones or Noelvi Marte thsnk you!
Either? Jones
In a traditional roto league with no bench, i can only keep three of the following: Rodon, Bryce Miller, Sasaki, Jared Jones, Framber Valdez. Which three would you keep?
Not Jones, Framber
Henry Bolte or Brooks Lee?
Lee

This is awesome, Vin!
I traded Neto for Degromm and Noah Cameron. Good move? I desperately needed trading.
Jack Leiter and Randy Vasquez droppable in 12 team leagues?
Please Ignore! didn’t see my comment went through before
This one was better though because it says you “desperately needed trading.”
That happens.
Haha
Sounds fine
They are droppable
Grey,
In an 8-teamer 5*5, roto keeper (keep 10 forever, no inflation) with only one IL slot, team B wants Gunnar. I’m first (63 points) in the league, 1st in pitching, 3rd in hitting. Team B is 2nd with 62 points, 1st in hitting. Could you suggest a few good trades for me (team A) to trade away Gunnar? Gunnar was a keeper of mine but can’t see him any at all and I want to take advantage of his recent slightly better stats to get something.

Schlittler and Konnor? Schlittler and JJ? Schlittler and Jung? Schlittler and Riley? deGrom and Konnor? deGrom and JJ? deGrom and Jung? deGrom and Riley?
Fangraphs points league.
A. I got offered $30 Kirby for my $18 Willson Contreras.
I don’t know how much I trust Kirby, since this league relies on efficiency and he’s been anything but for almost two years now.
B. Also got offered $35 Trea Turner for $1 Aidan Miller. Do you think he turns it around this year?
Regardless of either trade, I’d have to counter to help make the salaries work better for me. Was thinking instead:
C. I get $1 Grant Taylor and $1 Bleday for Contreras
Then trade away Miller for $12 Paredes. Unless you think Treat Turner turns it around?
Essentially, do you like the trades I received, or do you prefer my counters?
I don’t understand why Taylor/Bleday for Contreras is appealing, isn’t Willson decent? A MR is that valuable? Bleday? Miller for Paredes sounds fine…I’d take Trea, but not sure how the pricing affects you
Fore context, in this fangraphs points scoring, Taylor has 263 points in 32 innings pitched while Kirby has 346 points in 78 innings pitched. And there is an innings cap, so it helps that way. Sorry, should have included that.
That’s pretty valuable MR then..If it frees up capital too then I can see it
Thanks. Context matters:)
I think I’ll send it out and see what happens. I don’t trust Kirby to turn things around, personally, and I think Taylor and Bleday can continue this somewhat.
Appreciate the help.
No problem
In a 12 team OPS/QS league where i desperately needed pitching I traded Neto for Degromm and Noah Cameron.
Also randy Vasquez and Jack Leiter droppable in 12 team leagues?
answered above
Good job Rooker
