The All-Star break was fantastic, even though Kyle Schwarber cost me some cash in the home run derby. How the hell did he lose to Albert Pujols? In any case, these teams should be ready to roll for the second half, and it’s going to be fun watching them battle for the final three months. […]

On Tuesday, we were treated to the annual mid-summer classic. The MLB All-Star game brought together the game’s best players, except for a couple noteworthy snubs named Logan. The reigning AL MVP got the show started quickly with a single off Clayton Kershaw, only to get picked off from first moments later. On the NL […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?As deadlines on transactions and trades loom in many leagues, I’ve been building this Sunday’s post around the concept of last call for transactions in dynasty leagues, kind of like I did a few weeks ago in Prospect News: Junior Franco Files for Recognition from the Chamber.
Rangers OF Anthony Gutierrez (17, CPX) was already mentioned in that article but has since been promoted to the complex league just a month into his professional career. Giddyup. In six games at the complex, where the average age is 2.7 years older than Gutierrez, he’s hitting .333/.346/.625 with one home run and two stolen bases. Also zero walks and six strikeouts. Doesn’t matter yet though. Might be truly looking at last call on this one. Will be interesting to see how he fares in the league as new players trickle in from the draft, and that goes for pretty much everyone on this list who’s not in the Dominican Summer Leagues. Every affiliate in the lower minors is about to get a talent boost. Good time to zero in.
Please, blog, may I have some more?I hope everyone enjoyed the All-Star festivities or at least the couple-day hiatus from eying up box scores. MLB has dialed up a busy week coming out of the break, with 16 teams playing 7 games. There are plenty of two-start streamers for shallow formats. Unfortunately, the 15-team landscape remains as barren as the Tigers’ […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Welcome to another installment of taking a dated reference, applying it to fantasy baseball, and then hoping in some manner or form, the SEO Gods smile upon our trending use of keywords and relevant current topics while attributing it all to fantasy baseball. So while I’ll have zero commentary on whatever is going on with […]
Please, blog, may I have some more? Here we are running into the second half coming off an incredibly exciting All-Star break. I think I could personally listen to Alek Manoah pitch mic’d up for the next five years and not get bored. As we look at the what may be a last gasp for owners trying to make the playoffs or ride it out in the roto standings, we owe ourselves a reset and the opportunity to move some big names up or down in the rankings. While the Home Run derby was fun, it does not really change our outlook for Julio Rodriguez or Juan Soto. However, the second half will bring us the return of a few key contributors and give others a chance for a much needed reset. Without further ado and random rambling, jump into the rankings and read through below to see the movers and shakers as we jump in with two feet to our Top 100 rankings for the rest of the 2022 fantasy baseball season.
Please, blog, may I have some more?Poor Red Sox fans. After being subjected to Mookie Betts game winning home run and his game ending diving catch only a night before, Friday night the Blue Jays completed a historic Beantown beatdown at Fenway scoring 28, yes, TWENTY EIGHT runs on the Sawx hapless pitching staff like it was CFL game. Boston Massacre, […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Did you immediately ask, “What is happening?” If so, stay tuned to read what is happening: the second half of the season is upon us; the trade deadline is here, too. When you read “It’s Happening”, what do you think of? I think we all have a slightly different opinion based on our favorite team/player. […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?OHHHHHHH we’re halfway there! Welcome to your weekly Razzball injury report, friends. It is the halfway point of the 2022 MLB season. The All-Star game offered a reprieve to the broken bodies along this trail. In 2022 thus far, players have been most widely afflicted by COVID-19 (both precautionary and illness-related), shoulder injuries, and elbow […]
Please, blog, may I have some more? We’re just coming out of the All Star Break, and it’s a tricky time in deeper leagues that use a FAAB budget, especially NL or AL-only leagues where crossover players may be involved over the next couple of weeks. In my leagues at least, there’s not much available on waivers this weekend, so I’m hesitant […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Well well well, ladies and gents (I do hope I have regular readers) the second half of the season is about to kick off. I sincerely hope your team is undefeated at this juncture. But who cares about the first half, all that matters is how you finish. Fret not, for I have ranked them all. We’re talking every player over the second half. Projection data is taken from the Razzball Steamer Rest of Season projections. That is then converted into point totals, the number in brackets following each players name. Yeah a lot of them will be on a roster already, in fact, I would be pretty disappointed in you if they weren’t. But anyhoo, here’s the new rankings for the second half. Use this info to help in trade negotiations and hope that the rest of your league isn’t reading Razzball as well. When perusing these rankings keep in mind that in many cases point totals can be very close. In that case, prioritize the position you need or the guy you enjoy watching.
Please, blog, may I have some more? After a period of rest, it’s important not to jump right back into really strenuous activity. According to muscleandfitness.com, here are some tips on what to do prior to strenuous activity: Eat for fuel, focusing on carbs and proteins. Peanut butter has lots of protein, right? *rips open pack of Oreos, dips in PB, clears […]
