Brandon Nimmo has never been the type of hitter fantasy managers draft expecting huge power. Even at his best, his value has come from doing a little bit of everything: getting on base, hitting for a respectable average, scoring runs, and chipping in enough home runs and stolen bases to make him a well-rounded fantasy […]

For the 2026 fantasy baseball season, every team has about 120 games down and about 40 games still to go after the first 21 weeks of the season. Since even 120 games aren’t nearly enough to draw any conclusions, we will spend these posts in the middle of the season looking at the risers and […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Alec Burleson is having the kind of season that can be easy to overlook or chalk up to just “good, not great.” The St. Louis Cardinals first baseman is hitting .287 with 19 home runs, 84 RBI (now that’s great! It’s a top-five mark in 2026), and an .836 OPS through 120 games, numbers that […]

Please, blog, may I have some more?To be clear, you didn’t draft Nico Hoerner this year for his power. You would never. But what did you expect when you drafted him for your fantasy team? Probably something like 2024, when he hit .273/.335/.373 with 86 runs, seven home runs, and 31 stolen bases. His value has always come from batting average, […]

June 25, 2026 | 2026 Fantasy Baseball |by: CableBoxScore
On Wednesday night, I turned on a close game between the Houston Astros and Toronto Blue Jays in the ninth inning. The Astros were ahead 2-1 in the top of the inning with two men on base. Up to bat was Yordan Alvarez, perhaps the greatest hitter on the planet this season. The Blue Jays […]

Please, blog, may I have some more? For much of the 2026 season, Matt Chapman looked like a fantasy baseball player in serious decline. The San Francisco Giants’ third baseman entered June carrying some of the worst offensive numbers of his career, posting a wOBA and xwOBA well below his established baseline (his wOBA was .241 in May, just below Brice Matthews). […]

Please, blog, may I have some more? The nomad (or Sacramento) Athletics hosted the Seattle Mariners on Wednesday afternoon for the finale of a three-game intradivisional series. The Mariners won the getaway game by a score of 9-1, so it wasn’t a particularly compelling game to watch unless you rostered Logan Gilbert or Julio Rodriguez this year. But in the bottom of […]
