Now with the All-Star Break come and gone, some of these players shouldn’t fooling us anymore. It used to be funny that Joey Meneses was batting .275 with three homers, but now it’s downright horrific. We used to dismiss the fact that Willy Adames was hovering around the Mendoza Line, but now (.206 average) he […]

It’s unlucky season in fantasy baseball right now. We have official and terrible news on players like Lance McCullers, Vinnie Pasquantino, Yordan Alvarez, Chris Sale, and Jazz Chisholm this week. There are no less than five dozen players on the MLB injured list right now. With the dog days of summer officially upon us and […]

Remember the hype around the Blue Jays offense this offseason? They added Daulton Varsho and Brandon Belt. They also had emerging players like Alejandro Kirk in the core of the lineup. Yeah, those players haven’t exactly worked out yet. Bo Bichette and Vladimir Guerrero, Jr. were due for bounce-back seasons, right? Remember the hype on […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Sometimes when I write about fantasy baseball (and certainly when I play fantasy baseball), I feel a lot like Ruth Langmore. You’ve seen the meme from Ozark by now. Sometimes I feel like I don’t know s*** about f***. Case in point. Some dummy wrote in the preseason that the new park dimensions in Camden […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?As we wake up on April 20th, we have to remember that most MLB players have completed about 18 or 19 games of their season. That amounts to about 11% of their entire fantasy year. I, for one, would not want my boss judging my performance for the year on February 7th or whatever. Fortunately, […]

I love, and I mean freaking LOVE, visiting those Most Added and Most Dropped pages on sites like Yahoo and ESPN early in the season. I feel like I am Tywin Lannister or something laughing at all funny things my subjects do to try and amuse me. “Ah, look at all the townspeople rushing to […]
Please, blog, may I have some more? What were you doing when you were 17 years old? I have two vivid memories from 17. The first was seeing Titanic 23 times because that’s what every other 17-year-old girl I knew wanted to do and you’re darn right I was going to be there for them to hold when that old couple cuddles […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Because Major League Baseball doesn’t do anything fun like throwing players battling for a position into a coliseum pit to fight to the death, we have to settle for them figuring things out on the field. LAME. Yes, baseball’s version of The Purge is quite mundane, but that’s not to say there are not still […]

Most of the time when we hear about a player hitting a wall, it’s due to injury, fatigue, or loss of skill. Very rarely – and maybe never! – do we hear about a player hitting a wall because of an actual wall. But we may have found our Patient Zero in Ryan Mountcastle, whose […]
Please, blog, may I have some more? You’ll have to forgive me, I’m a little out of breath. I’m still in the middle of running the victory lap of telling everyone, everywhere last season to draft Cristian Javier at all costs. Can I see the future, you might ask? No, my friend, I am no fortune teller. At least I don’t think […]

Who were the real risers and fallers from MLB free agency this offseason, you ask? Let’s be clear, there was one true winner of this MLB offseason, and that was Scott Boras. He presided over more than $1.2 billion in free agency deals like he was the Pope lifting his holy hands to all those […]

As we enter the playoff season for many fantasy leagues, we are getting closer and closer to knowing who players actually are for the 2022 campaign. Time to regress is running short But, because it’s major league baseball, we are also still getting surprised every day. Yandy Diaz and Aaron Judge have the same OBP […]
