“Ding Dong ain’t got shizz on me!” That’s a famous quote from Denzel Washington after my autocorrect gets done with it. See, my autocorrect keeps changing Nick Senzel to Nick Denzel, and I’ve tired of ducking changing it. I called AppleCare and asked them how to change my autocorrect settings to “Not stupid” and they laughed, then, when they were done laughing, I asked again and they said, “Oh, you’re serious?” Ding Dong ain’t got shizz on me with how serious I am! No, this isn’t the star of Antone Disher, and it’s Antwone Fisher! This isn’t Robbin Carter, and it’s Ruben Carter! The Boner Collector? Why does my autocorrect even know that word?! I’ve never in my life typed such a thing! So, Nick Senzel aka Nick Denzel was once a top prospect. That ship sailed so long ago it’s reached its destination already at: Port U-A-Bust. He’s sipping Mai Tais with Garrett Hampson and Bubba Starling, but the DJ just announced there’s one final dance, because he’s playing Last Dance by Donna Summer, not Michael Jordan’s The Last Dance, and Senzel is the only one going to the dance floor to move his hips. Hopefully, he doesn’t hurt himself! He is capable of a nice combo of power and speed and never struck out much, so he could hit .280. Can he stay on the field? I have my doubts, but I could see adding him in all leagues. He is after all a two-time Oskar winner. Damn it, autocorrect! Oscar is the more common spelling! Why would you change that? Anyway, here’s some more players to Buy or Sell this week in fantasy baseball:

I thought we’d do something a little different this week… instead of highlighting a handful of potential deep-league pickups, let’s take a slightly more global view of the current state of fantasy baseball. There have already been more injuries, gut-punch demotions, and surprise breakouts than I can count, and sometimes we need to just take […]

By now, many of you may have seen one of the video clips of Blake Snell quizzing the Padres broadcasters about wRC+.  If you haven’t, the conversation goes something like this: Snell: “I’ve got a question for y’all” Broadcaster: “Sure” Snell: “On the board it said ‘Carp wRC+’ What does that mean?” Broadcaster: “I have […]

As you might’ve heard, Matt Mervis was called up, but, more incredibly, Eric Hosmer grounded into a double play while he was sitting on a bench. Those boos aren’t from fans for Eric Hosmer; they are boos from Eric Hosmer because he’s a ghost of his former self. This is funny in a “how stupid am I” way: So, I saw Christian Encarnacion-Strand posted himself on Instagram in a Reds uniform, then deleted it, so that means he’s coming, right? Of course! So, I dropped Matt Mervis for CES. Hey, if you can’t laugh at me, at least cry with me. Welp, I just gave you my Matt Mervis fantasy last week. Not much to add. I mean, there’s a lot to add, like Matt Mervis for one! Hopefully this waiver claim goes through dropping CES. I’m so stupid! Anyway, here’s what else I saw yesterday in fantasy baseball:

It’s crazy when people drive slow in the left-most lane on the freeway. It’s crazy that people spend over $5 everyday for coffee when the Korean instant coffee packs come out to like $.20 each. They are delicious, by the way. It’s crazy that Razzball is not the most visited website on the internet. It’s crazy that people don’t consider Shohei Ohtani the greatest baseball player we have ever seen. It’s crazy that….Luis Robert Jr. has been dropped in 10.2% of ESPN leagues over the past week? Is that so cray cray? Let’s dig in.

One would be best to avoid most internet chat groups, especially larger public forums Reddit or Twitter, full of idiots like me drawn into conversations we hate with people we’ll never know. I previously wrote about Yahoo deleting message boards on all leagues, to be replaced with their useless “Chat” function, which serves to shove even more advertisements down our collective throats (a disgusting image).

Another week, another promising prospect banished to AAA. Unlike Jordan Walker who should really still be in the show (please bring him back) Oscar Colas really hasn’t looked like he belongs in the big leagues so far. I was a big fan of his potential as a fourth or fifth outfielder because I thought he would start smashing the ball, and he did not. His demotion should be far from a back breaking blow but it is saddening nonetheless. He still has tremendous upside so you pretty much have to hold him in dynasty but for redraft, you’ll need a replacement. Even if Colas wasn’t part of your squad there’s always room for another outfielder. Fortunately, there are plenty of options on waivers so let’s dive right in.
