Grey and B_Don are back to discuss the first weekend of 2023. We start the pod with the biggest changes, the new rules and how it has affected our game. Players are running and we’ve seen more than double the stolen bases over the first weekend of play from last year. After B_Don gets done telling all the young whippersnappers about how the rule changes are bad, we get into some of the early performers and non-performers.
Yordan the GOAT, Taylor Ward, and Oneil Cruz have shown us what they could do and why we liked them in draft season. Then, we discuss some of the players that we didn’t like as much or disagreed on in Adley Rutschman, C.J. Cron, Yoan Moncada, and Bobby Witt Jr. We discuss if we were just early on Jonathan India and Alec Bohm or if this is just a hot start. We talk about some of the pitchers that struggled in their first start in Alek Manoah, Sandy Alcantara, Corbin Burnes, Kodai Senga, and Chris Bassitt. We wrap up the show with some bullpen talk and some possible pickups for you to look at in your leagues.
