Happy Fourth of July!  Hopefully most of you are enjoying the day off, but like taxes and money, DK never sleeps.  Today I’m rolling with two starting pitchers that have actually received a little extra rest over the last week Matt Harvey, $7,000 vs Miami and Lance McCullers, $8,800 vs Seattle.  We’re almost halfway through the season and my regular fantasy teams are falling apart with injuries, so every bit helps at this point.   I think that the little breather that both of these guys got will give them that extra edge we need to cash in today.  McCullers was dealing with a blister and last pitched on the 22nd, so he should be ready to go today.  Over his last 7 starts he’s averaging over 7 K’s per game while keeping his ERA at a respectable 3.00.  I was pretty shocked to see Harvey at 7K today, but I’m never one to shy away from a discount.  His last start got cut short by a rain delay, so I’m banking that he got some extra work in this week to tweak his mechanics.  Harvey has been not been anything close to the Ace that we’re used to, but he’s playing at home and Citi Field is going to be rocking today.  A perfect storm for the Dark Knight to rise up for the Fourth.

Aaron Sanchez, SP $9,900 – He just needs to avoid the Mr. Enfuego, Kendrys Morales. Sanchez has been solid over the his last 7 starts being able to tame even some of toughest AL match-ups along the way.

Archie Bradley, SP $8,500 – In his last home start vs San Diego he went 7 ing, 9 K’s with only 4 hits and 1 walk.  If he can duplicate that performance I’ll be popping off some Roman Candles in his honor.

Evan Gattis, C $3,700 – DK has him back at catcher, Woo Hoo!  He’s facing soft tossing lefty Wade Miley, so feel free to stack the rest of the Houston Astros RHB.

Miguel Cabrera, 1B $3,900 – I’m not super excited about the match-up, but I like the price.  Miggy feasts on Tribe pitching and Danny Salazar is no exception as he’s 9/29 with 2 HR’s and 5 RBI.

Joey Votto, 1B $3,800 – He’s got 3 HR’s over the last 6 games and got a much needed day off on Saturday.  He’s another BVP special today as he’s 4/6 with 2 HR’s vs Kyle Hendricks.

Jose Altuve, 2B $5,600 – He’s like the Energizer Bunny he just keeps going, and going and going……………..

Rougned Odor, 2B $3,700 – What’s that beautiful smell?  Hambugers, Brats or Hot Dogs?  No, that’s a another Odor bomb going by Pesky Pole.

Nolan Arenado, 3B $4,800 – Those Bay Area winds are starting to gust up and a Torenado is about to come through.  He’s not in Coors, but he’s facing Jake Peavy.

Jake Lamb, 3B $5,500 – Our favorite Tri-Lamb is all grown up.  I mean just look at that salary, I remember when we could get him for $3,200.  Tough to keep this guy down in sub 5K when he’s facing Luis Perdomo and he’s got 4 HR’s over his last 5 games.

Didi Gregorius, SS $3,900 – He’s been swinging it lately too with 3 HR’s in his last 5 games and he’s facing the pitcher formerly know as Big Game James Shields.

Brad Miller, SS $4,000 – 2014 Grey would be so proud that his sleeper is finally paying off.

Kris Bryant, OF/3B $5,300 – Who needs fireworks when this guy has a home game vs Cody Reed.

Starling Marte, OF $4,500 – I haven’t featured him all year, but I’m feeling a Marte Party coming on for today’s celebration.

Yoenis Cespedes, OF $4,400 – He’s a little under priced with the great match-up vs Tom Koehler.

I’m Only Happy When It Rains

The weather looks really good today with just some small chances of rain or thunderstorms.  PIT v STL has a 50% and DET vs CLE 24% chance of thunderstorms.  ATL vs PHI has a 60% chance of rain, so definitely keep and eye on that if you got anyone going there.

Doing Lines In Vegas

Surprisingly Kyle Hendricks and the Cubs are -265 vs Cincy today and the TEX vs BOS game is at 10 1/2 O/U.
