Two-Start Pitcher Rankings, 8/3 – 8/9

Razzballers, this could be a crazy trade deadline!

We have already started to see some trades happening as we lead up to August 3^rd, but I suspect Sunday the 2^nd may have a few big names moved. The trade deadline can be an exciting time for a fanbase or a heartbreaking one. As a Tigers fan, I’m feeling the latter of the two as we potentially trade Skubal, Mize, Torres, and Jansen (good riddance).

Tarik Skubal is an arm it seems more and more likely by the day he will be dealt at the deadline. Unfortunately, his last home start was spoiled by the Tiger’s blowing a 7-0 lead. I could see him potentially a Brewer or Mariner… but honestly, I’m just hoping for anything but the Dodgers.

Kevin Gausman is another arm likely to be dealt due to his impending free agency and how poorly the Jay’s season has gone. He would potentially be a rental, but a team that thinks they can contend may go for him. He does have a no trade list that complicates things, but I still see him being dealt rather than Toronto letting him walk at the end of the season.

Hunter Greene is an arm I’m seeing more and more rumors he might be moved, but I really do not believe it. He has multiple years of team control left and it doesn’t make sense for Cincy to move him at this time although crazier things have happened.

Just fair warning and reminder that the deadline could affect the Two-Start pitchers. Best of luck in your matchups!
