I’m back in my first week of school, AKA easy yet soul sucking meetings and sitting around. One thing that I do appreciate, we get permission to use bathroom breaks at any time. And yes, the bathroom breaks are very long and don’t always involve using the bathroom. With rules and school returning, we have […]

Everybody wants to talk about Michael Harris II aka Megahertz, so let’s talk about him. Michael Harris II (1-for-5, 2 RBIs and his 16th homer, 2nd homer in two games, and 3rd homer in a week) is hitting around .400 in the 2nd half with 10 HRs and a 1.100+ OPS. In the 1st half, […]
Please, blog, may I have some more? We’re going to be short and sweet this week since your Razzball Commenter Leagues host is currently on vacation with the fam. I’m bumping around Grey’s old stomping ground, taking in all the Jersey shore has to offer. I have just returned from enjoying some frozen custard from Kohr’s and managed to fit in a […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Oh look, the service time deadline mysteriously passed… and suddenly, every top prospect is ready for the bigs! What a coincidence! In this episode, we dive into the post-deadline flood of promotions across the league. Baltimore calls up top prospect Samuel Basallo and Dylan Beavers, who’s been cruising in Triple-A. The Cubs bring up Owen […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Yesterday, Bryce Harper went 3-for-6, 3 RBIs and his 20th and 21st homer. He’s at the precipice of having a solid year. Precibryce? Yes, that’s the ticket! If he gets to 30 homers and 80+ RBIs, we can write off most of his down year as the result of missing a month. Nine homers and […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Happy Monday, Razzball faithful! It was a busy few days for your favorite Roto-Writing Dad, so I contemplated taking the week off. Instead, I switched up this week’s format so we could still get some information out and (hopefully) give you fantastic fantasy followers a smidge of entertainment in the process. Old MarmosDad has one […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Am I the only one mad that MLB teams hold back their rookies, manipulating their service time? The funny thing about my anger when it pertains to baseball is that dissipates by the time I’m into the next sentence. What was I mad about out again? Oh, yeah, Samuel Basallo (1-for-4, 2 RBIs) just now […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?I have good news and bad news for you this week. The good news is that your lineup this week is probably going to have several high-quality pitchers lined up for two starts. The bad news is that your opponent’s lineup this week is probably going to have several high-quality pitchers lined up for two […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Welcome back to the Top 100 hitters, where the dog days of August bring both scorching heat and sizzling opportunity. With less than a quarter of the season remaining, this is the toughest stretch to rank players when an injury or cold streak can crater a hitter’s value in an instant. At the top, the heavyweights still reign. Shohei Ohtani has edged past Aaron Judge, setting the stage for a potential repeat MVP campaign. Ohtani leads the Dodgers with 43 home runs and 117 runs scored, while Judge counters with a .330+ average and 39 homers of his own. But scroll further down the list, and the landscape shifts. New names are surging, veterans are fading, and the rankings are in flux. As the fantasy playoffs loom, let’s dive into the chaos and uncover which bats are rising, falling, or waiting to make some noise.
Please, blog, may I have some more? Our streamers were solid last week. That’s what we needed after a disappointing Week 18, and it’s wild to think we only have a handful of weeks remaining. It’s always frightening how fast the end of the season comes because it just means the years are flying by. It’s even harder to believe this is […]
Please, blog, may I have some more? The Cubs recalled OF Owen Caissie this week to help spell OF Kyle Tucker, who has been mired in a deep slump for a month. Since July 3rd, he’s slashing .186/.331/.239 over 33 games. There’s nowhere for Caissie to play in an everyday way, so this promotion feels a little strange even as Caissie has certainly earned it, cutting his strikeouts over the last few months, slashing .326/.420/.628 with 16 home runs in his last 59 games. All the Cubs fans I know are pretty doom and gloom about this season now that the team is nine games behind Milwaukee in the National League Central, but the Cubs are still in the thick of the Wild Card race. Perhaps Caissie can bring some hope with him whenever he steps up to bat.
Please, blog, may I have some more?A little behind the scenes of the creation of this weekly piece, I draft most of it Friday afternoon and then edit Saturday morning as needed. Accordingly, most of the prospect-related bids below were estimated before any official call up news (Saturday morning update: I was able to capture the callup of our favorite rodent-named […]
