The top 60 outfielders for 2019 fantasy baseball will be filled with guys you absolutely should and will own, and guys you absolutely will and should not own.  Was like that last year, was like that the year before and has been like that since the dawn of time.  In 6,000 B.C., a caveman scratched his butt on a stick and thought, “Hey, I wonder if I can patent a stick for butt scratching, and should I hold this top 60 outfielder or drop him?”   Such is life with the top 60 outfielders.  So, here’s Steamer’s 2019 Fantasy Baseball Projections for Hitters and 2019 Fantasy Baseball Projections for Pitchers.  As with all of my 2019 fantasy baseball rankings, my projections are included and where I see tiers starting and stopping.  Anyway, here’s the top 60 outfielders for 2019 fantasy baseball:

He removed the balls from his arsenal, no pun intended, and got back on track to being one of the premiere starting pitchers in baseball. Jameson Taillon was part of a heralded crew of young Pirates, and has stood the test of time to now become Pittsburgh Ace. He sure pitched like one in 2018, putting up career highs across the board. While nothing major jumps out about him individually, is there something that should worry you about his chances of repeating another Top 10 performance?

Imagine you’ve just arrived in Arizona to enjoy some Spring Training action. In exchange for sitting through two dozen enthralling exhibition baseball games in less than a week, you’ve agreed to first take your sweetheart on a day long horseback riding excursion. You’re about to pay full freight for this pricey little adventure when a shady looking cowboy pulls you aside whispering tales of an unadvertised, half price donkey option.

It’s a pivotal crossroads: Do you forfeit a few servings of nachos at the ballgames and pony up for the trustworthy horse, which you’re confident will deliver you to the promised land? Or do you gamble on the cagey donkey, which may nibble on your girl’s foot halfway through the trek before taking a nap in the middle of the desert?

Hey, guys and five girls, we’re (I’re) back!  Today’s 2019 fantasy baseball rankings tackle your favorite (I’m guessing!), the top 40 outfielders for 2019 fantasy baseball.  Last year, this post had Cain, Acuña, Merrifield, Mazara, Gallo, Pollock, McCutchen, Pham and Domingo Santana.  Well, at least Acuña was able to hightail it outta here!  Those who don’t learn from their mistakes are doomed to repeat them.  Or is it, ‘Those whom don’t learn?’  Meh, whatever!  As always, my projections are noted for each player and where I see tiers starting and stopping.  Also, all of Rudy’s hitter projections are under that easy-to-click link.  Anyway, here’s the top 40 outfielders for 2019 fantasy baseball:

Sometimes all you need in life is a second chance. For Max Muncy, he’s making the most of it. Cast aside by the Oakland A’s, the burly utility guy has found a home in Los Angeles. His power display lasted the entire season, and propelled him onto the leaderboard for home runs. Was it enough to make you believe it can last? Prospect Jesus and I put him under the microscope in our latest addition to the 2019 Fantasy Baseball Video Draft Guide.

Are you ready for catcher talk? Because we have 59 enthralling minutes on all the fantasy relevant backstops for 2019. Is Danny Jansen a sure fire top five fantasy catcher in 2019? I don’t know you’ll have to listen. Did Grey rank Buster Posey number 1 like it’s 2013 all over again? Do we think Gary Sanchez will rebound? Can Sandy Leon walk and chew gum at the same time? All this and more on the latest episode of the Razzball Fantasy Baseball Podcast. Stayed tuned over the coming weeks as we provide the audiobook for Grey’s rankings.

Hey mister! We shared our woes over a pint of whiskey at the Top 100 saloon. Now it’s time to mount our horses and head out into the NL West. Just over there beyond that mesa we’ll come across a bed of Diamondbacks. These surly sums-a-b*****s are know for their bad temper, so approach cautiously. I recommend a small game arrow for a perfect skin. Ten perfect skins and we can craft ourselves a purdy saddle! Why lookie here! Exactly ten Diamondbacks! Whoa boah! Settle down. Let’s get a good look at ’em…

In an incredible turn of events, I’ve done all the infield 2019 fantasy baseball rankings.  Less incredible, you’ve read them.  It’s like that time your favorite team won because they played better than that other team but you convinced yourself they won because you cheered loudly.  When I win the Fantasy Baseball Blogger of the Millennial in 2099, and my frozen head is accepting the award, I’m going to thank you, the readers, but I’m secretly going to be thanking myself.  Without me, none of this would be possible.  You’re a close second though!  Okay, enough ranking of you and me, let’s rank some outfielders!  Last year, there was one outfielder I said I didn’t want in the top 20, Aaron Judge.  This year, well, let’s save it for the post!  All my projections are listed by the players and where I see tiers starting and stopping.  Anyway, here’s the top 20 outfielders for 2019 fantasy baseball:

When I think of Blake Snell, all I can hear is Sheek Louch’s voice in ‘Wild Out’ from The Lox…

What’s a pitcher gotta do to make a half a million?! Must I wave it at your children?

In other words, what more than a Cy Young award does the left handed throwing Ace have to do to prove he is one of the best pitchers in Baseball?! Looking at ADP, it feels flat out disrespectful! But then at the same time, maybe it’s not. And even if it is, does it mean you should draft him? We went over it all, so you don’t have to!

As I’m working on my pre-season top 100 hitters column each week I sometimes like to ask my friends for their thoughts as a barometer for who I might be too high or too low on. As a fun experiment I start with my #1 and #2 ranked players and whoever they voted was better was locked into their ranking — and whoever lost would face the next ranked player.

For example: “Mike Trout or Mookie Betts?” Unanimously Trout.

“Betts or Jose Ramirez?” 4 votes Betts, 1 for Ramirez.

“Ramirez or Francisco Lindor?” 4 for Lindor, again — 1 for Ramirez.

For the most part players rarely lasted more than 2-3 match-ups before they won and were given their consensus ranking. However, there was one player who lasted 8 match-ups (meaning an 8 ranking difference between my top 100 and the group consensus top 100) and that man was…

After going over the top 20 shortstops for 2019 fantasy baseball, I needed a cigarette.  A good after-sex cigarette, not a waiting-to-go-into-court-to-hear-if-you-have-to-spend-18-months-in-jail cigarette.  Subtle, but important differences.  We also hit up the top 20 catchers for 2019 fantasy baseball, the top 20 1st basemen for 2019 fantasy baseball and the top 20 2nd basemen for 2019 fantasy baseball.  In no way was that clickbait.  Okay, onto the hot corner.  Here’s Steamer’s 2019 Fantasy Baseball Projections for Hitters and 2019 Fantasy Baseball Projections for Pitchers.  All projections listed are mine and I mention where I see tiers starting and stopping.  Good times, dyn-o-mite!  Anyway, here’s the top 20 3rd basemen for 2019 fantasy baseball:

Let’s break a bottle on this Brooklyn built ship and set sail! Before anything else, I’d like to send a huge thanks to Grey, Jay, the entire Razzball staff and all the readers for the opportunity to put my fantasy inspired madness onto digital paper. [Jay’s Note: You’re welcome!] It’s truly an honor and a pleasure, I’ve been a reader for long time. Hopefully I can provide some new information, a new perspective and some laughs to one of my favorite portions of the fantasy community. My friends, buckle up as we are about to embark together bravely on a series about an incredibly vital aspect, yet often ignored part of the fantasy game; the elusive Quality Start.
