So you started the season with a monstrous keeper squad of Jose Ramirez, Giancarlo Stanton, Corey Kluber, Carlos Carrasco, and Luis Severino? Now you’re sitting in a bathtub, crying like Grey as he watches Travis Shaw and Jose Peraza bag his sack of Whole Foods groceries in the year 2021. Peraza holds the bag while Shaw inserts the various packages of beyond meats. The toaster is already plugged in and heating up next to your bath; Johnny Cash’s rendition of “Hurt” is blaring on your old school boombox as you shovel Hagen-Daas into your face. Suddenly everything goes black! Did the toaster slip into the tub? Nope, you blew a fuse!

Only hours after the MLB trade deadline, Donkey Teeth and B_Don are joined by Razzball’s new head prospect writer The Itch (starting Sept 1st). The gang breaks down the fantasy implications of the most impactful deadline deals including the Bauer, Greinke, Stroman, Castellanos, and Gallen trades. Guest Itch also gives his thoughts on the most relevant of the prospects involved in each deal.

Back from break, B_Don and Donkey grab their sausages and dig right in on some genius all-star break ideas. For profiles this week, the guys look at 2018 vs 2019 for two under-performing starting pitchers: Jack Flaherty & Zack Wheeler.
The Ditka dudes profiled Flaherty on a podcast last season if you’re looking for a more in detailed description of his offerings, demeanor, and more. For this show, Donkey Teeth explains what he thinks went on with Flaherty in the first half and why the Cardinals’ youngster is his favorite buy-low pitcher for the second half. Donkey then digs in on his profile of exciting Cubs prospect Adbert Alzolay, who features two impressive off speed pitches. The guys speculate that a longer-term opening may arise in the Chicago rotation for Alzolay; since recording Cole Hamels has hit the IL, so be sure Alzolay is owned in all leagues.

After 10 minutes of standard Grey Albright nonsense, Donkey Teeth and the Fantasy Master Lothario dig into Donkey’s most recent Top 100 Starting Pitchers post. The guys take a closer look a Hyun-Jin Ryu, Robbie Ray, Chris Sale, Martin Perez, Lucas Giolito, Griffin Canning, Clayton Kershaw, and Joey Bag O Butts Lucchesi. Grey also admits he may have been mistaken about Zack Greinke and Madison Bumgarner, while Donkey Teeth makes yet another case for Yusei Kikuchi.
