“He missed May.” That’s the note I have Post-It’d next to the name Jazz Chisholm Jr. in my brain. Yesterday, he went 3-for-4, 3 RBIs with a double slam (27, 28) and legs (26), as he hits .243. The counting stats are weak-ish; for some reason he’s hitting 7th, but a 30/30 season is hard […]

Hope all our readers had a nice long weekend! It’s back to school time and the wind-down to the baseball season. Just four weeks remain in the baseball season, and it’s an all out sprint to the finish! Timing worked out great with the long weekend and the end of August, so we have updated […]
Please, blog, may I have some more? The final month of the season is upon us, and we’re back with a couple brief stolen base SAGNOF thoughts and, of course, our Speed Dials on this Tuesday. Not much excitement thus far A pretty uneventful September call-up date was headlined by Sal Stewart getting the call for the Reds, and he hit 6th […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?On this episode of the Razzball Fantasy Baseball Podcast, Grey Albright and B_Don flip the script and dive into the players who’ve stumbled through the second half of the season. After weeks of covering late-season breakouts, it’s time to talk about the guys who’ve let fantasy managers down when it matters most and whether their […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?I’m not one to yearn for the long-gone, halcyon days, waning nostalgic for the old stuff. Faster games are nice, I like the pitch clock and I don’t miss watching pitchers hit. 40-man rosters though? Ah, the salad days. Back in the day (2019), rosters would turn from a soda can to a Foster’s. We’d […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Happy Monday, and welcome to September, Razzball faithful! So last weekend, when I took the kids to the Neil Young concert, we had some time to kill beforehand. As luck would have it, the concert venue was located inside the same place where the annual “Toronto Exhibition” is held. The Ex is kind of like […]
Please, blog, may I have some more? We’re heading into the home stretch. No pressure, but every little decision you make now could be the difference between cashing a prize or not! If you come up short, well, here’s a handy list of outfielders in deep second half slumps that might have cost you glory. More importantly though, with only four weeks […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?A creepy guy in a long trench coat, “Hey, wanna see something?” He flashes open his coat and inside the coat is dozens of corner infielders. That’s the Reds. They are the horniest anyone’s ever been for a corner infielder. Honestly, I didn’t even know that was a fetish, but I am not here to […]
Please, blog, may I have some more? It’s September! You know what that means. It means the boilerplate warning every week that this list is based on projected starts and not a guarantee of what teams will actually do becomes even more necessary. In the last couple weeks, we’ve already seen multiple teams make use of six-man rotations either to allow guys […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Welcome back to another edition of Hitter Profiles. As we round the corner into the final month of the season, the true diehards know it’s never too early to start scouting the big storylines for next year. Today’s profile takes a closer look at a four-pack of hitters who have shown flashes of breakout potential heading into 2026. While many of your league mates may have already shifted their attention to other sports, you still have a month to track how these players finish the season and how they might fit into your grand plan for next year’s draft. This week we’re stretching across the spectrum: young to old, breakout to call-up, even continent to continent, all in search of the next big thing. Join the fun in the comments below and let us know who your pick is to break out and make a bigger name for themselves in 2026.
Please, blog, may I have some more?Outside of a stinker from Michael McGreevy, I was really pleased with last week’s streamers. This is one of the toughest times to pick streamers because these teams are doing some bizarre things with their rotations and lineups. What is easy to figure out are these matchups because there’s a handful of lineups we want […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Phillies OF Justin Crawford (21, AAA) has three home runs and three stolen bases over his last five games. His season-long line is .333/.409/.454 with seven home runs and 43 stolen bases in 54 attempts. Still seems underrated to me in a general kind of way across the lists, and Philadelphia’s front office is complicit in that. Nick Castellanos is under contract for $20 million in 2026, but he comes off the books after that and has been mostly awful this season, posting a negative WAR (-0.7) and .294 on base percentage in 128 games. The team’s best roster for 2026 would probably have a cheap Crawford in left field and Castellanos on someone else’s payroll. Heck that might be true for this year. I realize things are pretty good on the big league side in Philadelphia, but leaving Crawford out of his post-season push feels like a mistake to me.
