Greetings friends, and happy first official day of summer! Last week our deep league roundup had sort of an under-the-radar utility guy theme to it, and this week we’re looking more at a “post-post-hype prospect/older veterans who you didn’t know were still actively playing in the majors” vibe. I’m going to be traveling this week […]

Friday night gives DFS players an entertaining 10 game slate that includes some of the best offenses in MLB: BAL, LAD, CLE, MIN, NYY, SD, MIL, and HOU. We will have a lot of options to choose from. On the pitching side there are really attractive options up and down the pricing scale. All of […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Baseball is the only sport that can pull off this nostalgia, and I’m not sure why they don’t do it more. Once a month they could put two teams in either a historically significant park or just a park that was a movie set. Field of Dreams game? Once a season. Rickwood Field? Once a […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Last night I spied an incredible blurb that sent me into a near-catatonic state of entertain-related nostalgia-bliss.
Yordan Alvarez (family matter) remains out of the Astros’ starting lineup on Wednesday.
Please, blog, may I have some more?I always marvel at the people who ride rafts on the Colorado River. Yes, there are stretches of peace and tranquility, which allow one to soak in the natural aesthetics, but there are also pockets of chaos and heart-pounding adventure when the water hurtles with a ferocity that guides you to wherever it flows like […]
Please, blog, may I have some more? What is up party people? Baseball lost one of it’s greats this week and it may just be that he was the greatest ever. I never got to watch Willie Mays in person but I would give almost anything to be in the stands for his over the shoulder catch or to play stick ball with him in the streets and I don’t think I am alone in that dream. There are no words I can write that could even come close to encapsulating the impact he had on the game. Afterall, are there any more complementary words I could pay him than those of the great Ted Williams? “They invented the All-Star game for Willie Mays” It doesn’t get much better than that and he would be 1.1 in fantasy drafts. To the man, the myth, the legend, THE Giant, you will be forever missed but 24 lives on.
Please, blog, may I have some more?In our 49th episode, Mike Couillard and Jeremy Brewer open by discussing the latest and greatest transactions and moves including a bevvy of injuries to Mookie Betts, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Michael Harris II and more. Then we analyze players that have been hot in the Razzball Last 30 Days rankings to see what’s fueling their performances. You can […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Gerrit Cole made his 2024 debut last night going 4 IP, 2 ER, 4 baserunners, 5 Ks and throwing 62 pitches–Hold on, someone is ringing my phone. “Hello? Kyle Bradish just underwent successful Tommy John surgery with an internal brace procedure? I thought it wasn’t Tommy John if it’s an internal brace, right? You don’t […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Graduated From Stash List Volume 3: Ben Rice Is Boiling: Ben Rice, Orelvis Martinez
Jackson Holliday is not on this list. One of the few rules I’ve implemented here is that once you’re a big leaguer in the current season, you’re off the list. Holliday cashed those major league game checks, so he won’t be represented here. Neither will Tyler Black even though I’m writing this part on a Friday and thinking about his namesake Rebecca.
1. Nationals OF James Wood | 21 | AAA
Washington is 0.5 games out of the wild card race. Wood returned from his hamstring injury and went 0-for-2 with a walk on Tuesday. Once he’s in rhythm, I think he’s coming up.
Please, blog, may I have some more?Intro It’s time for another outfield update as we enter the dog days of summer. Since our last update, Aaron Judge has taken over the top spot and the league as he caught fire like the surface of the sun. No one is hotter than he. But Heliot Ramos is coming close, and his name […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Oooookay, Tyler Soderstrom. You’re the first A I’m writing up this year. .370 and 4 HR in 7 days is quite the hot streak. This could be something and I’d go get him now. Tyler, yes first name basis, came up as a catcher and was the number one prospect for the Oakland system, which […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?A real swing and a miss last week by having a Royals stack. That’s on me, my bad. Today is a new day, and we will be better. So, here we go. We’re going to put some Yankees in this lineup. Yesterday’s game was filled with tension as Soto ran into Westburg on the bases, […]
