Grey joins Donkey Teeth and B_Don to discuss ideas for 2020 fantasy baseball on the Goin’ Deep Razzcast. They debate whether Ronald Acuna or Mike Trout should be taken #1 overall next year, or maybe dark horse Christian Yelich? The changing landscape of Major League Baseball and fantasy baseball is at the forefront of the discussion.

And should you gamble on Pete Alonso or Yordan Alvarez in the late 2nd or early 3rd round? Yes, but you’ll have to tune in to find out which one. Then later in the show Grey disowns B_Don for suggesting Bryce Harper should be drafted over Rafael Devers, and Donkey Teeth is disowned shortly after for contemplating Aaron Judge over Devers. Don’t miss all the drama on this week’s episode of Goin’ Deep!

As I have stolen and used Donkeycorns as a team name for almost a decade, it’s only fair you use another team name of mine….Goin’ Deep. what’s fair is far!! Both teams have coasted to championships since June so the proverbial check will be in the mail.

Has to be a good omen, right?

I agree with you guys over Grey on the H2H thing. I don’t play H2H but I know what you’re saying about players who don’t get run the last week of the season. Maybe a guy plays through a nagging injury in July, but he’ll just shut it down over the same injury the last week of the season. Or even non-injury related. Stars don’t play as much down the stretch, maybe for risk of injury. Manny Machado for instance has only played 3 out of the last 6 games.

You have to take one in the second round of your draft next year. Who do you take: Bryce Harper or Harper Lee?

So many random things happen at the end of the season. A H2H championship shouldn’t be decided on it. They are random enough as is.

I like ending H2H leagues at least a week early, ideally 2 weeks early. To me, it’s like football ending week 16 not 17. Teams treat injuries/lineup decisions different in late Sept it seems to me. I like weekly changes on Monday leagues for h2h & in those it’s even more important IMO to end a week or 2 early.

Rotisserie, no. Play the whole season.

      Good call, Turd Man.

Grey has no support on this one!

    H2H – always stop a week ahead.
    Roto – full season.

Grey – I’m with you on Harper! But I’m still in with Judge right around Alonso. Flattery is great!

DT – Harper Lee is one of the best too!

      RIP Harper Lee

The crazy thing about Bryce is he can have what everyone perceives as a terrible season this year yet he’s still #23 on the player rater. He might be a value next year…
