They say the best indicator of future results are past results. Past results tell us that when Justin Upton (OF: $2,600) gets hot he turns into a fantasy stud. Well, he’s gone yard in back-to-back games so we could be looking at some serious heat. This is not the time to forget about him or a match-up to run from. Dive right back into those flames for a great price.

Luis Castillo, SP: $9,700 – It hasn’t always been pretty this season, but Castillo has managed to put up some big games. The swing and miss stuff is his bread and butter which projects favorably against a Marlins squad that is third in the league for strikeouts.
Madison Bumgarner, SP: $7,800 – MadBum is on a nice points-scoring run of late and has the bot in his corner today. His win chances aren’t always great with his supporting cast and while that’s obviously not ideal he can still help out your lineup today.
Chris Flexen, SP: $7,400 – Flexen takes the mound against an offense that is batting just .190 since the All-Star Break and that’s enough to bring him into play today. He doesn’t have the ceiling of the top pitchers due to his lack punch outs but he projects as a very solid lower-priced option.
Anthony Rizzo, C/1B: $3,500 – He put up a solid stat line in his return to action from the Covid list which was very encouraging. That puts him right back at the top of the list for first base options today.
Jared Walsh, C/1B: $2,900 – He got a breather after a week straight of action which should give him a chance to recharge his power bat. I like him today at his price point.
Jose Altuve, 2B: $3,600 – He might no longer be number one in our hearts, but he projects as the number one second baseman. August hasn’t been kind to him but he can turn it on and this isn’t a match-up to shy away from.
Rougned Odor, 2B: $2,800 – At his price, you can afford to take a risk on his power upside. He could pay off in a big way or he could put up a Golden Sombrero. There is no in-between option. Ok, that’s some hyperbole but it still feels pretty accurate. The bot has him as a top-five second baseman so you can feel a little more comfortable picking him.
Josh Donaldson, 3B: $3,000 – I’m in on him for the price. He projects nicely today and you can use your savings to go big elsewhere.
Abraham Toro, 3B: $2,700 – I really like what he’s been doing for Seattle as a fantasy player. He’s been finding ways to score points and should be able to keep the party going today in what figures to be a plus matchup.
Corey Seager, SS: $3,200 – As a Giants fan I really hope I’m wrong about this one, but it feels like this could be a big spot for him. The Mets are melting down and Corey has been putting up some big games of late. As an added plus, he doesn’t carry a top-shelf price tag.
Yonny Hernandez, SS: $2,700 – He seemed to enjoy the leadoff spot and has flashed in limited action showing off his speed and most importantly, putting up fantasy points. He’s your ballin on a budget play today.
Eloy Jimenez, OF: $3,800 – Eloy has been scorching hot in August, looking like a fantasy superstar. That kind of potential is worth paying a premium for.
Brent Rooker, OF: $2,900 – Who? Why would you want to put a Twin in your lineup, they’re awful? Have you gone mad? All valid questions. This is a shot in the dark based on a favorable robo projection. That makes him a contrarian play if you want to go against the grain.
I’m Only Happy When It Rains
Clouds and humidity aka the standard summer fare. That means full speed ahead.
