Welcome to another Tuesday edition of FanDuel MLB DFS. We have a packed slate today and not too many studs on the mound. That could mean offense will be plentiful.
There’s a few spots I like tonight for starting pitching. One spot is the down right filthy Brandon Woodruff taking on the Royals. Another? Well, that’s my guy Andrew Heaney. Every other start for Heaney has had a return of 50+ FanDuel points. That means he’s due for another today, right? I know, I know. This isn’t great analysis or reason to use a guy in DFS, however, Heaney is capable of a slate winning outing and I just don’t see that many places tonight. I do like Julio Urias ($10,000) at home vs the DBacks, and I’m sure I’ll have him in some places, but I’d rather pay way down to Heaney and get some juicy bats in the lineup tonight.
The hitting portion today is going to be quick and to the point. Lotta places to go. I tried to give a high, mid and low priced guy at each position. Though sometimes it doesn’t work out that way and I’m not going to force a guy into this list solely based on $$$. Good luck tonight. Be positive and visualize your success! You HAVE to believe it to be true before it can happen. Go with your gut and do it with confidence. Let’s go!

Starting Pitcher Targets
Brandon Woodruff, SP: ($11,000) – An arm worth the high price tag today. The Royals don’t strikeout too much vs RHP, but as dominant as Woodruff has looked his last few times out, that shouldn’t matter.
Dart Throw
Andrew Heaney, SP: ($7,600) – He’s had a masterful outing every other time out since the start of the season. With a limited amount of solid options on the mound tonight, why don’t we follow the trend and cash in on the solid outing Heaney tonight at home vs the Indians.
First Base
Max Muncy, 2B (1B): ($3,700) — Batting .429 with an .857 SLG over the last week. Recency bias!
Josh Bell, C/1B: ($3,500) — Another hot performer who’s K’ing only 17% of the time over the last week, which gives him a nice floor. The 8.7 BB% over the last week means he can get on base and provide some numbers for cash teams.
Luke Voit, C/1B: ($2,800) — Boom or bust but he’s in Texas going against Folty, so always a chance for a home run for your tournament team. Been batting 2nd recently, which is nice.
Second Base
Brandon Lowe, 2B (OF): ($3,400) — Kinda 3 true outcomes of K, BB, or R…hits are weird recently. Goes against Matt Harvey which is like the potential for batting practice.
Gavin Lux, 2B (SS): ($2,500) — He’s super hot right now with a 1.077 OPS over the last week and going against Merrill Kelly. Dinger radar on!
Jonathan Schoop, 2B: ($2,300) — .953 OPS over the last week and faces off against Justin Dunn, the pitcher who’s as likely to walk you as he is to K you.
Third Base
Vlad Guerrero Jr, 3B (1B): (4,000) — Chalky Brewster! Put him in your cash lineups and make a couple tournaments with him too. I wish I was in a tournament with Vladdy Daddy.
Kris Bryant, 3B: ($3,900) — Faces off against Patrick Corbin who’s been dismal this year except for his previous start. Are we getting 92MPH Corbin or 90MPH Corbin? Because one of those pitchers allows dingers by the handful. Tournament play!
Kyle Seager, 3B: ($2,800) — Coming off some injuries so he’ll be low-owned, but playing against the Tigers is always an upside option for a guy with a .461 SLG on the season.
Short Stop
Javier Baez, SS: ($3,600) — Cubs stack against Corbin!
Francisco Lindor, SS: ($2,900) — Faces off against rookie pitcher Tucker Davidson, so plenty of opportunity for a good game.
Outfield
Kyle Schwarber, OF: ($3,100) — He’s got that revenge game narrative going, especially after the Cubs put his name on the Jumbotron and said “Forever.” They non-tendered him! He’s crushing over the past week and faces off against Zach Davies, so let him ride.
Randy Arozarena, OF: ($3,100) — Stack against Harvey!
Teoscar Hernandez, OF: ($3,100) — 1.227 OPS over the last week but faces E-Rod, which means Teoscar will be low-owned. Boom or bust for your tournaments!
Randal Grichuk, OF: (3,000) — Take the above blurb and change all the pronouns and say, “he’s due.” Going to be super-low-owned but today could be the comeback tour.
I’m Only Happy When It Rains
Looks like possible rain throughout the midwest. It doesn’t seem like anything that will threaten the actual games being played as of right now, but check in to see. Games to check in on: Pirates @ Cardinals, White Sox @ Twins, Brewers @ Royals, & Nationals @ Cubs.
Doing Lines In Vegas
Currently, the line is 8.5 for the Nats and Cubs game. I’m taking the over on that line. Fairly warm day in Wrigley, with 2 pitchers on the mound who give up their fair share of home runs.
