We’re 1 month into the marathon that is the MLB Season, and there’s nothing like reading over rankings to know where your boys stand and where you should be looking. I have taken it upon myself to let you know where you are and where you should be. Frankly, 1 month of data is a […]

In our 136th episode, Mike Couillard and Jeremy Brewer discuss some callups and injury returnees before diving into a new batch of banged up players. Then we analyze slow starters to determine if the players in question can turn around their seasons. Please, blog, may I have some more?Angels still have issues, but I’ve liked the changes Kurt Suzuki has made as manager, and, I wonder if he has a hand in Jose Soriano (5 IP, 0 ER, 7 hits, zero walks, 4 Ks, ERA at 0.24) unlocking da juice. Of course, I’m just guessing it’s Suzuki’s doing. It could’ve been a butterfly […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?White Sox 3B Munetaka Murakami would be my number one pick if we could re-roll the First-Year-Player Draft today. Nine home runs in his first 23 games is crazy talk. That’s almost a 50-homer pace across a full season. And the craziest part is that something close to that seems sustainable, at least to some extent. Murakami’s patient until he’s not. He’s early to recognise a pitch he should pounce and does exactly that. I wish I had him somewhere. My bad.
Please, blog, may I have some more? It’s only April 22, but it’s April 22, ya know? We have a decent amount of data here. Sometimes the theme just pops in my head, and sometimes I just look at the Player Rater and see what stands out. This is one of those articles, the hope being that you find it interesting as […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Christian Scott will be called up to start on Thursday, as the Mets moved on from a man D. Peterson. Welp, can’t buy me love. I’d like a refresher cocktail, if you don’t mind. I said when he was called up for the first time on May 2nd, 2024, “Mets are promoting Christian Scott to […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Four weeks in, and the closer carousel is spinning over time. I feel like this happens every single season, and every single offseason, I forget about it entirely. Next thing I know, I’m drafting Ryan Walker in the sixth round of ECFBL because “I’ve got to get a closer”, forgetting that there will be ten […]

Please, blog, may I have some more?Let’s try something a little different today. I am going to go with “Buy, Sell, or Hold” on a few guys. It’s based on a kind of subjective assessment of what’s happened to their value so far this season and how I feel about that change. Realistically, there’s not a lot to do on most […]
Please, blog, may I have some more? The early season continues to deliver chaos, and this week’s Razzball Fantasy Baseball Podcast leans into the uncertainty with a look at prospects on the rise and injuries already shaking up depth charts. A few key hitters hitting the IL are opening up opportunities for younger bats to step in, while several top prospects are […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Edwin Diaz went to the IL with loose bodies in his elbow, i.e., David Caruso flipped his sunglasses down and said, “More like Ed-lose 12 weeks.” He’ll undergo a procedure to remove the loose bodies (have you tried a stern taking to about the pitfalls of being loose?) and could return by July/August. Timetables vary […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Happy Monday, Razzball faithful! I was all set to run with a lede for a certain Cleveland starting pitcher who flirted with a no-hitter last week, but Cade Smith’s attempt to lock down a clean save left Messick. So, I pivoted to another starting pitcher who has left many of us feeling happy, healthy, and […]
