Please see our player page for Chase Meidroth to see projections for today, the next 7 days and rest of season as well as stats and gamelogs designed with the fantasy baseball player in mind.

In the world of fantasy baseball, we are inundated with data. Those of us who enjoy the data have a much better chance of becoming consistently competitive in this game. Eventually, we have to learn how to predict player breakouts or collapses so that we can take advantage of them. Perhaps instinct will allow us to make those predictions to some extent, but probably not to compete with other really good fantasy players. To do that, we likely have to get comfortable with the parsing of the data.

Tim McLeod, he of Tout Wars and many Fantasy Baseball conferences, as well as the wonderful Fantasy Baseball 361 podcast, has a terrific axiom.  “I do not touch my team until mid may.”  He trusts his draft. He ignores way too early results.  But you, my dear reader, may have taken Caleb Durbin or Luke […]

The World Baseball Classic is underway, leaving most major league rosters ripe with opportunity. Also with some soft spots. The stats could get weird for a little while here. We’re always taking spring outcomes with a grain of salt anyway, but it can be tough when a guy I like for a breakout like Twins RHP Taj Bradley cruises through four scoreless innings against a Yankees lineup with four regulars.

One super quick word about the top 20 2nd basemen for 2026 fantasy baseball and all the 2026 fantasy baseball rankings, each ranking appears insanely long and it is, but I imagine in a lot of leagues guys won’t have eligibility, because I’m using the extremely lax Yahoo position eligibility (five games started). Without further […]

Happy New Year, everyone, and welcome to the first installment of the Top 400 Dynasty Players for 2026. Over the next two weeks I will take two giant bites out of the countdown as I rank the players from 400-301 this week and then 300-201. After that will come bite sized looks of the final 200 players.

When it comes to these rankings, I know some of you will shake your head when it comes to certain players.

I have my biases and a system in how I evaluate fantasy players – and have done so for decades – and you have your biases. That is what makes rankings so interesting and why you will likely look at a host of rankings as a way to gauge how you view a certain player and how others view a certain player.

So here is a quick rundown about these rankings.

Hello, everyone. Welcome back to my weekly rankings. This week is the Top 50 Dynasty Shortstops for 2026.

When it comes to this position, it is full of young players with great upside or have already reached a high level of play while also featuring older players who can still be great players to have on your team.

Overall, if you need to boost your average or your on-base percentage, this is a group to hoard. Collectively, shortstops slashed .254/.317/.394, ranking first, second and fourth among all positions in those categories. The top end players will help you across the board. As you get beyond those players, you will still find shortstops who will help in at least one category, such has homers or steals or whatever you are looking for.
