Hey Razzball faithful! I’m back again for another installment of SAGNOF Wednesday! Hopefully, you’ve had some time to stretch out on the couch and watch a bit of the WBC this week. More importantly, I also hope that you’ve been dodging any and all snipes as you draft through these early March fantasy leagues. I’m […]

There are no 3rd basemen to target for 2023 fantasy baseball. Thank you, have a good day. *finger to earbud* Okay, I’m being told I need to give you some 3rd basemen to target. Who the hell is this in my earbud anyway? Is this…FUTURE ME?! Or. Dot dot dot. Past me?! Oh my God! Well, whomever is in my ear pulling my strings like a modern-day Geppetto, they’re telling me I have to give you some 3rd basemen to target late. Too bad, because they all suck! Excuse the exposition and this clunky intro into the aforementioned exposition, but here’s the catchers to target, 1st basemen to target, 2nd basemen to target, and shortstops to target. These 3rd basemen to target are being drafted after 200 overall. Hopefully, you drafted Rafael Devers or Jose Ramirez or Austin Riley already, because, otherwise, you’re screwed. There are upcoming RCL drafts, if you wanna get rowdy and/or bawdy. Now, this is a (legal-in-all-countries-except-Indonesia) supplement to the top 20 3rd basemen for 2023 fantasy baseball. Click on the player’s name where applicable to read more and see their 2023 projections. Anyway, here’s some 3rd basemen to target for 2023 fantasy baseball:
Please, blog, may I have some more?I’m sure you’ve been in a few drafts this season and reached a conundrum. What to do with 3B? So you missed out on Ramirez/Machado, bummer. Then you missed out on Austin Riley, dagger. And then you were either out of position or didn’t like the draft price on the next 4-5 3B, you tell […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?We have another week’s worth of draft data (eight more leagues) to work with and about two weeks left of the Razzball Commenters League draft season. We have plenty of spots to fill, including a league drafting THURSDAY NIGHT @10 PM ET, click the link to join and draft tonight! We have a couple of […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Grey and B_Don have moved on from the hitters and we’re on to the arms. We tried to get through 50, but for everyone’s sanity, we stopped at 40. We talk about our view on the starting pitcher position (BTW, I’m surprised Grey hasn’t fired me for getting Corbin Burnes in 1 league). As we […]

While the 2nd basemen to target is a necessary evil like changing your underwear. This post, well, have you seen the top 20 shortstops for 2023 fantasy baseball? Dude, why did you not draft one of the glorious top top TOP guys? Did you show up late to your draft because you were delayed by having to wear pants? I’m hopeful that everyone rosters at least one shortstop prior to getting to the sleepers in this post, and likely two. Top shortstops are the bee’s knees, and bees have knees; I’m a scientist. This is a (legal-in-all-countries-except-Lichtenstein) supplement to the top 20 shortstops for 2023 fantasy baseball. The players listed have a draft rank after 200 on other sites. Click on the player’s name where applicable to read more and see their 2023 projections. Anyway, here’s some shortstops to target for 2023 fantasy baseball:
Please, blog, may I have some more?Every year, I write about how the least effective thing I can do to help your fantasy game is rank pitchers. Every year, readers shout at me “But what about Jack Black in Nacho Libre, wasn’t that Oscar-worthy?” To them I reply, “This is an article about pitchers, but yes, total snub.” After a few moments of wiping the Cheeto dust from their mouth, readers then reply, “But I don’t understand anything unless it’s hierarchical, like the Oscars. There needs to be a winner, some runners-up, and 10,000 losers.” That’s fine. Baseball culture is accustomed to lists. Standings. Category leaders. Batting orders. Heck, even the positions are numbered 1-9 (sorry all you right fielders). I love a good list. But should you?
Please, blog, may I have some more?It was a wild offseason for the National League, one highlighted by Trea Turner’s lucrative ($300 million) transition from the Dodgers to Phillies, along with fellow shortstop Xander Bogaerts’ introduction to the NL, via the San Diego Padres and $280 mil of his own. Two of the absolute best shortstops in the game are anchored […]
Please, blog, may I have some more? It’s been a good time to be an MLB shortstop, given the overall depth of the position and the historical off-season we’ve had thus far. Marquee free agent shortstops Trea Turner, Xander Bogaerts, Dansby Swanson, and Carlos Correa inked deals totaling around a billion dollars. Despite two failed physicals, Carlos Correa still made out like […]

So, weird thing is happening this draft season, I’m loving all of my drafted fantasy baseball teams. I mean, I’m drafting them, so it should come as a complete surprise that I’m liking the teams, but usually I’m more skeptical of how well I’ve drafted. Like a hand model, I’m usually much more down-to-earth, accepting that my best feature is, much like the Niekros, just off the knuckles. Could I have become the worst case scenario? A hand model who thinks people may want to photograph my face? I hope not, but I am worried that my enthusiasm for my fantasy teams might be too rosy for my own good. The only people truly excited about their teams are ones who don’t know better, right? No? I can be happy? Geez, this could be glorious if I’m not being dopey and my team is actual garbage. For those not in the know, this is a weekly, 15-team, two-catcher league that lasts for 50 rounds and there’s no waivers. Anyway, here’s my NFBC draft recap:
Please, blog, may I have some more?My second season in the ToutWars 12 team mixed league with alternate categories has me coming in as the returning champ! That means I’ve got a target on my back. (If you are curious, here is my recap of last year’s title run.) Last season, I went into this league with zero expectations, barely feeling […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Last week, we walked through my initial top 25 as we began to count down, or rather count up our top 100 hitters for the 2023 fantasy baseball season. While the top 25 was a star studded group on which fantasy dreams are born, the next 25 contain breakout potential and a number of reliable veterans. Once we get past this group, the questions start to grow and the debate will certainly spark. Without further ado, let us jump into our continuing view of the top 100 hitters for the 2023 fantasy baseball season with spots 26 through 50!
