We took a week off from streamers last week because we only had three days to discuss. The All-Star break was a great time to recharge our batteries, though, because we’re finally down the stretch run of the season. What’s also interesting is that we have the trade deadline right around the corner. That will […]

For this list, I used the players’ ages as of July 9, 2023.

The cut-off lines for eligibility were 130 at bats for hitters and 50 innings for pitchers.

Here’s a link to the Top 25.

51. Rays RHP Shane Baz | 24 | MLB | 2021

With 40.1 innings, Baz remains eligible by the laws of this list. His value is pretty dependent upon your play style and/or league setting, I think. He’s a good bet to gain value between now and spring training 2024.

Baseball is back for the second half after an exciting all-star break. For the fans, it is the beauty of all the festivities. Between Julio and Vlad putting on a show during the derby and the NL winning for the first time in over a decade, the break was everything the fans could have asked for. For Major League teams, it is a chance to rest the weary before a grueling second half. Then for fantasy managers, it is a chance to breathe before searching for the second half gem that could carry them to the championship. This week, we look at a few interesting second investments in our hitter profiles for the rest of the 2023 fantasy baseball season.

How’s everyone doing without baseball every day? I’m doing great! I walked into a Chipotle and told them my latest score on that day’s Immaculate Grid, and when they didn’t know what I was talking about, I explained how I was typing in Billy Sample but it wasn’t showing up for the Rangers’ 30-steal guy, so I started writing a strongly worded letter, starting with “To Whom It May Concern,” but then I realized he might be in there as William Sample, so I tried that, but that didn’t work either! Finally, I tried Bill Sample and there he was! I then cackled for 45 minutes until the guy with the guacamole scooper sat me down and hand-fed me a burrito to get my blood sugar back up. One guy who’s got my blood boiling is Bryce Harper. He’s currently the third Bryce on the Player Rater! After Bryce Elder and Bryce Miller! If you were to misspell Bryce, Bryson Stott’s above him too. Bryce Harper is currently about as valuable as David Peralta, Mike Baumann and Max Fried. One guy you thought retired; one guy you know has been out all year and one guy who you think I made up. This sell isn’t meant to be shocking if you saw my top 100 for the 2nd half 2023 fantasy baseball. Could Harper’s 2nd half be better than his first? Naturally! And that’s exactly what you tell the person who you’re selling Bryce Harper. I wouldn’t trade Bryce Harper for a handful of hand lotion from a stranger, but I would go to our Fantasy Baseball Trade Analyzer and explore options. Anyway, here’s some more players to Buy or Sell this week in fantasy baseball:

When I was younger, I’d lie a lot, both to myself and others. Before you cancel me, these weren’t malicious and devious lies. They were lies born from either being high or embarrassed. I was swimming in the pool at my parent’s friends house. “Did you pee in the pool?” “Wasn’t me,” I replied, as the long green stream flowed from between my legs. When I got something wrong, I’d fight to the death because of my fragile ego. Or was it my Asian upbringing of anything less than an A being a disgrace to the family name? I kid I kid. My parents were super cool. Sure, they expected a lot from me, and got on me when I was lazy, but I was fortunate to not have Tiger Parents. Anyways, after many years, I became somewhat enlightened. The truth shall set you free. It’s okay to be wrong, for that is how we learn and grow. It’s okay to tell the truth, even though it may hurt or be embarrassing. Situations are resolved and respect is gained faster, and ultimately so is arriving at the truth. Earlier this season, I wrote a piece on Christopher Morel. But new data has been presented which has made me reassess the situation.
