DFS is such a fast-paced hobby that the quote from Ferris Bueller just keeps ringing in my head. Replace “life” with “DFS” and it makes a lot of sense: “DFS moves pretty fast, if you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you may miss it” As DFS players we get so ingrained […]

Grey and B_Don are back for another episode of the Razzball Fantasy Baseball Podcast. This week we talk about call ups Joey Loperfido (might as well listen to see how badly we mispronounce this one), Jordan Beck, Pete Crow-Armstrong, and Matt Mervis. We discuss the early struggles of Wyatt Langford, and Jackson Holliday’s demotion. The […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?At the Consumer Electronics Show this past year in Vegas, Rockies manager Bud Black was there showcasing his newest sunglasses, they’re called ProspBlockers. Here, I’ll let you hear it directly from the man on his infomercial. “Sick of seeing upside? When you look forward are you sick of ‘looking forward to better things?’ I know […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Happy Monday, Razzball faithful! Well, I’ve broken down my version of the Top 100 Starting Pitchers. If you want to look at the articles from the past month, click on my MarmosDad link under my avatar photo and have a look through the extra words that I shared in there. So now what? Well, I’m […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Fantasy folx! As we come upon the fifth month of the fourth year of this our third millennium of the Common Era within the second baker’s dozen of years, I have but one request of you: Don’t Panic. I mean, a Catcher is in the Top 10 on the Player Rater, Alec Bohm is out-hitting Kyle Tucker. and Taylor Ward outranks Trea Turner. These things happen. Stats are just turning the corner on being “meaningful,” which of course means things like our redactions of “Fantasy Schmohawk” articles are nigh. I kid! We remember fondly our worst calls. Like, Jordan Walker. Sigh. Let’s see if we can recover from our Jordan Walker hopeium.
Please, blog, may I have some more?Howdy again, folks. Going to start this one off candidly: It’s a weird time for me. Beyond being in the midst of starting a new job, I also just emptied my entire life into a storage unit while I search for a new place to live. A lot of stuff is in flux for me […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Yesterday, Nick Senzel went 2-for-6, 5 RBIs with his 4th and 5th homer. That’s five homers in a week for him! He’s only played ten games all year! Well, of course he has, the 11th game for Senzel is like midnight for Cinderella. ACKSUALLY! Call him Senzella! He’s a Godzilla meets Cinderella monster! Rawr! Watch […]
Please, blog, may I have some more? This week’s teams to keep your eye on are the Astros and Dodgers. Framber Valdez is off the IL, and to make room for him it was J.P. France who got optioned down to AAA. That means Spencer Arrighetti retains his place on the roster and in the rotation. What is unclear at this time […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?It is time for one of our favorite traditions here with hitter profiles as we debate early season performance and identify some buy or sell candidates at current ownership rates. This week, we will dig through a few of the leaderboards trying to find players with hot starts and figure out if we have struck gold or are simply fools in waiting. With all of the injuries so far this season, owners are rushing to fill lineup holes and anybody that is off to a hot start may seem like a lineup mainstay when they should really be trade bait. Last season, we had a Matt Chapman return to glory only to scuttle for much of the year. On the flip side, James Outman was able to sustain the results all season providing a huge lift for fantasy owners that jumped on the train early. Let’s dive into three intriguing players as we close out the first month of the 2024 fantasy baseball season.
Please, blog, may I have some more? This is one of the strangest weeks we’ve had for streamers. It’s truly evident when looking at the favorable matchups because it feels like all of the bad lineups are facing all of the bad pitching staffs. We have Miami, Oakland, and Colorado all facing each other this week, which can make things challenging from […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?So here’s the issue off the top: Jackson Holliday is not on this list. I mean I haven’t written yet, in full, but he’s not gonna be on this list. One of the few rules I’ve created to help me create this document throughout the season is that once you’re a big leaguer in the current season, you’re off the list. Holliday cashed those major league game checks, so he won’t be represented here. I suppose he’d be first here, but I’m not even gonna think about it because one of the key points here is to highlight players who might not be rostered yet. I’m not even sure we’re late enough into the season to reach that objective in most leagues, but that’s irrelevant to the ultimate Ultimate goal of creating interesting, readable fantasy baseball content. I don’t think I’m doing that in that last sentence. Might need a quick walk.
Please, blog, may I have some more?Goodness gracious, just when we thought the injuries would slow to a trickle, the epidemic shifted from elbows (mostly, but not fully) to ribs. Once again, Keelin has you covered on all those injury updates as our Saturday Crew powers unite. Rosters across the landscape or ripped to shreds just like all those obliques out […]
