Happy September, RCLers! There are now four weeks remaining in our Razzball Commenter League season and this is probably the last standings update before the final update at the end of the year. Maybe we can squeak another win in two weeks, but no guarantee. So, take stock of where your teams currently sit, take note of categories you want to focus on down the stretch, stream accordingly, and may your teams avoid the combination of Bailey Ober and Zebby Matthews giving up 78 runs in 3 IP. Let’s take a look at who leads the Master Standings in our penultimate update as well as check in with the Perts League and RazzSlam standings with the week that was, week 23.
Each week we’ll peek in at our resident ‘perts to see who is laying claim to best “expert” RCLer in the land. We’ll take notes, check the standings and generally stalk them. The heading is also hyperlink, so feel free to follow along as we go.
Only 1/2 a point now separates Grey from Son in the battle for first place. Grey added another two points to his impressive run and Son added one this week as he tries to fend off his boss. Grey once again led the league in IP (76.1) adding eight wins and 90 strikeouts while Son led the league in ERA (2.61) and WHIP (1.006) in his 58.2 innings of work. The Lineup Builder added the most points this week (8.5) and moved from tenth to ninth, might be too little too late there. I went the other way this week as it’s been two steps forward, two steps back for me all year. I lost five points and fell from fourth to fifth despite leading the league in saves (10).
Each week we’ll also take a look at the top ten overall standings in our other Razzball sponsored league, the RazzSlam. This is our NFBC Best Ball league with managers from all across the industry, from content providers to fans and readers just like you.
I had my numbers wrong last week, it’s ten teams fighting it out for RazzSlam glory. If Moe Deportes wins I think we are contractually obligated to give him a share of Razzball, so get ready for full length articles written as Tweets, daily recap videos featuring Moe, and more! All kidding aside, the dude could easily take this thing down and his strategy is bold and one we should all take more seriously. Rick Graham is the current Wild Card leader.

Our top 20 teams with movement. Cubbiehead holds on for another update but Afternoon Delights is coming on strong, up a spot, and just one point out of first. The top three are really solidly ahead (the same three teams as last update) of the of the pack, but a lot can happen as teams hit those IP limits. Man or Stroman? made a twelve spot jump into the top five and is doing well in Original Recipe. Password is taco remains all over the top 20 leaderboard for another update. FANTASY ICON is making a huge push in DFSers Anonymous. This is the league I won the overall championship out of two years ago, so a strong finish could see ICON at the top of the heap. Good luck to everyone in the final weeks.

i’m working in concert with fantrax to have Son’s team disqualified for “holding onto 1st”
Makes sense!
