Start the drum roll!  Twenty-seven weeks down and now we have twenty-five more until the start of next year’s fantasy baseball season.  It’s (almost) perfect symmetry because fantasy baseball is the perfect fantasy sport.  But, before we turn our eyes to next season we first have to recap this past season, and with that, our […]

It’s hard to believe there’s only one week to go in the Razzball Commenter Leagues.  This marathon of a season has seen us torture ourselves for 26 long weeks, agonizing over batty calls, dipping into the streamers with mixed results, cursing players, and praising others.  We’ve ignored our families, our jobs, and our hygiene and […]

What is up party people? We still have a couple weeks left of fantasy action before the post season kicks real baseball into high gear. If you are still in the hunt for a championship, I salute you and hope you can bring it home. At this point in the season, you have a pretty good handle on your team. Jarren Duran has to be on the short list of 2024 breakout stars. He has delivered power and speed, tied for the league lead in doubles while batting almost .290. I can’t say for certain where he will go in drafts next season but I can guarantee you it will be quite a bit higher than he went this season (ADP varies by source but it’s safe to say he was drafted well outside the top 100). I’m also not sure where I will have him ranked next season but top 20 doesn’t feel out of the question.

What is up party people? Every year a guy looks like the next big thing. Unfortunately sometimes, it takes a little time. Wyatt Langford is that guy this year. Finally the talent has won out. He can hit for the cycle and that means he can do everything else. We expected (or at least I wanted) him to be the next big thing. Looks like I was a year too early for his big breakout. I’m not sure where I’ll have him in my rankings but I think I will be way too into him. Rookie of the year is out, but it seems like he’s adjusted to major league pitching. And that’s a beautiful sight.

Happy September, RCLers!  There are now four weeks remaining in our Razzball Commenter League season and this is probably the last standings update before the final update at the end of the year.  Maybe we can squeak another win in two weeks, but no guarantee.  So, take stock of where your teams currently sit, take […]

Hi all, and welcome to the new weekly baseball points league article that will be published every Monday here on Razzball. I’ll try to cover a variety of topics to help you win your fantasy points championship not only this year but in future seasons as well. I’ll try to make it a good mix […]

What is up party people? September baseball is right around the corner which is make or break time for teams, both real and fantasy. Matt Wallner can help give you that final boost. His last month has been pretty dang good with 7 home runs while batting over .300. Those are pretty solid numbers, especially for a guy who is more than likely on your wire right now. The only real knocks on him so far are his strikeout rate (37%) and that he takes a seat against lefties. That obviously limits his ceiling but with so little time left in the season you really can’t complain too much. Best of luck to all on your championship push.
