It’s hard to not sound like a prick when discussing starters who I clearly said to avoid who are now injured. I could say something kind like, “Hey, who could’ve seen this coming? Not me, man! Totally out of nowhere! Wow, Shane Bieber needs Tommy John surgery? Crazy! Was he even hurt last year? He was? I had no idea! A 60-day IL stint last year due to his elbow? That is crazy! I am learning that for the first time!”

Alright, here we go. Last week was like the first batch of cookies out of a new oven using new baking sheets. It was alright, but there were kinks to get sorted out. We’re good now. Dialed in and ready to roll. The only things that can stop us are inclement weather, fickle managers, and […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?We are barely over a week into the 2024 fantasy baseball season and if you are anything like me, injuries have ravaged. Between Trevor Story, Luis Robert Jr., and Royce Lewis we are all hurting and starting to plug holes in creative ways. This is the time of the season where a hot start can be nothing more than luck and a poor start could simply from facing Shane Bieber (too soon?). This week, we sift through some of those hot starts and figure out who can simply plug a lineup hole versus a potential breakout where you should be dropping some real FAAB. This is where season’s can certainly be won with an astute pickup or lost by hanging on too long to your drafts dreams. Welcome to hitter profiles for 2024 fantasy baseball!
Please, blog, may I have some more? The opening week always scares me, but we got off to an incredible start with our streamers. James Paxton, Sean Manaea, Javier Assad, Tanner Houck and MJ Melendez all performed beautifully last week, and it has me ready to keep rolling. This is one of the best times to capitalize on the waiver wire, and […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Opening night for most of the minor leagues featured Colt Emerson homering on the first pitch he saw, a self-reliant start for someone I expect to climb the prospect rankings in a hurry. That’s our focus for the day, by the way: who could top the prospect lists in 2025.
Please, blog, may I have some more? Now that the splendor of Opening Day has worn off and the deluge of baseball washes over us, becoming the white noise of our summer lives, you may be starting to worry about those slow-starting fantasy teams. Especially if your team spent a first round pick on Julio Rodriguez (no homers, .185 average and 41 […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?If it is Saturday, then it is time for another edition of Up-and-Coming Dynasty Players. After two weeks featuring players on the Los Angeles Angels, I’m moving to the Midwest and setting my sights on Will Benson of the Cincinnati Reds.
Benson isn’t a spring chicken. Now 25, he is a former first round draft pick, selected 14th overall out of high school in the 2016 draft by the Cleveland Indians (now Guardians). A left-handed hitter, Benson fits the mold of an outfielder selected in the first round as he has great size and athleticism with massive raw power.
But the road to The Show has not been easy for Benson as he spent parts of seven seasons down on the farm. So why do I think Benson is an up-and-coming dynasty player?
Let’s find out.
Please, blog, may I have some more?Milwaukee Brewers rookie second baseman slash heart throb Oliver Dunn was 2-for-4 with his first career home run and steal. Have a day, rook! Bernie is hypppe! It’s Oliver Dunn time. Not to be confused of course with famed LSU gymnast Olivia Dunne aka Livvy Dunne, who’s name I’m admittedly only mentioning for the SEO, […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Note: This week’s edition of Ambulance Chasers was submitted a little earlier than usual due to inclement weather. The information was written as of the afternoon of Friday, April 5. If there is news or updates that came out in the late afternoon or evening of Friday, April 5 , it won’t be reflected in […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?“Hello, Personalize Any Jersey Emporium, you’ll make anything I want, right? Okay, great. So, I will provide you a Royals jersey, but on the back I want the name, Middleton, and on the front I’d like a cartoon drawing of the Princess of Wales Catherine aka Kate Middleton
Please, blog, may I have some more?Happy April! We’re one week into the season now, and personally, I feel like it’s been much longer. Sure, it’s beyond wonderful to have baseball back, but some of the pitching has been… well, disappointing so far (like, disappointing enough that I feel it’s taking months off my life). Luckily I didn’t have a ton […]
Please, blog, may I have some more? When given information, we naturally try to make sense of it by creating a causal story/narrative, which, if true, would explain our data. Massive amounts of data would be most effective; the averages would be more accurate, the margins of error would be smaller, and the outliers could be more easily identified. Some downsides to […]
