They call him the Shark, but Jeff Samardzija, $17,400 can go from blood sniffing predator to Puke Soup in the blink of an eye.  He’s been so inconsistent it’s hard to endorse him for DFS, but I’m taking a chance and letting him in the cool kids klub.  Surprisingly enough, he’s actually strung together 5 QS over his last six while going 4-1 over that span.  His 32 Ks over the last 39.1 innings are a little low, but he shouldn’t have any problem racking them up against the Padres in Petco tonight.  His price tag leaves me enough room to pair him up with the human K machine, Corey Kluber, at $25,200 vs the Yankees.  Aaron Judge might contribute 3 or 4 himself and the rest of the Yankee lineup shouldn’t give Kluber too many problems.  Kluber has been en fuego, with 6 double digit strikeout games in his last 8 starts, that’s straight fire son!  The pitching is a little pricey tonight so fair warning that we’re going to have to get a little creative with the offense.

Mark Reynolds, IF: $9,600 – Mini Donkey has 2 bombs over his last 3  games and he likes to hit them in bunches.  Coors is in play tonight snitches!

Trevor Story, IF: $7,600 – The starting pitching ate up a big chunk of our dough, so we need to get some inexpensive Coors exposure.  Story has been heating up as of late and I’m sure Coors will help him with that tonight.

Corey Spangenberg, IF: $6,600 – I don’t typically like to roster guys against my pitchers, but he’s 5/7 with a bomb and 3 RBI vs Puke Soup.

Tommy La Stella, IF: $6,600 – Tommy Boy has been swinging it with 3 HRs and 2 multi-hit games over the weekend.  Hopefully Madden has his him in the lineup so we can take advantage of the matchup vs Trevor Williams.

Pablo Sandoval, IF: $6,400 – The Panda is back in San Fran and apparently the Rice-A-Roni is just what the doctor ordered.  He’s got 5 multi-hit games over his last 9 starts.  He’s facing Jhoulys Chacin and he’s 9/30 with 3 HRs against him.

Christian Yelich, OF: $7,800 – I can’t afford Giancarlo Stanton at $10,400 so I’ll take the third best offensive outfielder in Miami.

Alex Presley, OF: $6,800 – Discounted Coors bat, nuf said.

Jason Heyward, OF: $6,000 – Another cheap bat with a solid matchup.

I’m Only Happy When It Rains

Everything looks good tonight except there’s a 15% chance of rain in the Cubs and Pirates game.

Doing Lines In Vegas

Mad Max’s return from the DL has him on top of the board tonight at -215 vs Miami.  No surprise that Colorado and Detroit is slated to be the highest scoring at 12.5 o/u.
