Happy Monday, Razzball faithful! Welcome to MARCH! The calendar flipping over means it’s excitement time for us fantasy baseball enthusiasts! Spring Training games have begun to give us the smallest sample sizes to analyze or, at the very least, to acknowledge. Spring break is nearly here for the kids. RazzSlam leagues are finalized AND the […]

1. 2B Christian Moore | 22 | AA | 2025

Grey wrote about Moore the other day. Here’s a link to his 2025 Fantasy Outlook

After leading Tennessee to a national title, Moore slashed .322/.378/.533 with five home runs and two stolen bases in 23 Double-A games. We might’ve seen him in the majors if not for injury, and he might open the season in the majors.

2. RHP Caden Dana | 21 | MLB | 2025

A prototypical innings-eater type at 6’4” 215 lbs with easy velocity and three off-speed pitches, Dana repeats his delivery well and commands his arsenal with a deftness beyond his years. He dominated Double-A as a 20-year-old and forced a late-season promotion to LA of A even in a lost season. Well, that might be stretching it a bit. They could’ve just promoted him to Triple-A after he logged a 2.52 ERA in 135.2 innings in Double-A, but that wouldn’t have the same flair as sending him straight to the majors. Probably should’ve sent him to Triple-A around the hundred-inning mark.

Happy Monday, Razzball faithful! I mentioned this last week, but it bears repeating especially since the Mariners’ starting pitcher group has been lights out for most of the season. Oh, you don’t believe me? Well, let’s go to the cherry tree and pick some juicy numbers that should pop your eyeballs out a bit more. […]

On this week’s Razzball Fantasy Baseball Podcast, Grey and B_Don discuss how you should approach September baseball to take home your league title. Then, we move on to another September tradition with roster expansion and prospect call-ups.  The Angels called up a pair of young arms in Caden Dana and Sam Aldegheri. Kyle Manzardo and […]

Happy Monday, Razzball faithful! Yes, I know what you’re thinking.  Dearest MarmosDad, how can you be bringing something back when it is extremely doubtful that it was gone to begin with? Your ‘silver fox’ good looks are second only to your razor-sharp wit and plentiful, perfectly presented puns! If I had a dollar for every […]

Orioles OF Heston Kjerstad was recalled after laying waste to Triple-A for a few weeks. He started in right field on Tuesday and should be in the lineup most nights from here forward. Baltimore continues to be perplexing in their efforts to fold these talent waves into the roster build, so there’s always a chance Kjerstad goes cold and winds up back in the minors, but I’m betting against that at this point, which is exactly what I would’ve said in spring training, so yeah . . . very helpful stuff from me.

1. 1B Nolan Schanuel | 22 | MLB | 2023

The 11th overall pick, Schanuel dominated his competition at Florida Atlantic, especially in a preposterous junior season that saw him slash .447/.615/.868 with 19 home runs and 14 stolen bases in 59 games. The team sent him to the complex for three games then to Low-A for two games. What he showed at those levels with a smattering of singles and walks is probably what he’d shown before they drafted him. Bit of travel for puzzling reasons, is all I’m saying. Then he went to Double-A for 17 games and slashed .333/.474/.467 with twice as many walks as strikeouts. That’ll probably be that for his minor league career: 22 games across three levels. There’s just not much argument for him to spend any time in Triple-A this season after he posted a 112 wRC+ and .402 OBP in 29 major league games. Sure, he didn’t get to his extra base power, and he might benefit from some low-stakes opportunities to focus on that, but spring training should offer that. In a loaded first-year dynasty class, Schanuel is a steal in the middle of the first.
