Justin Martinez was supposed to be your Saves Savior in these final weeks/days of fantasy baseball, but here’s what his usage pattern looks like over the last 14 days:

That’s from the super handy Relievonator Game Log Tool, which is one of the single greatest inventions known to man. So yeah, it’s nice to see a pretty good K:BB and 0 ER, buuuuut that IPStart column is what we care about: 9th inning, then 8th, then 7th x2…clearly not closing games. I hoped things would trend that way after getting eased back into action, yet it’s the opposite. Not sniffing holds, let alone saves. Can’t be holding onto this guy at this point; chase other options on your wire. In Zona, it’s Brandyn Garcia, Juan Morillo, and Kevin Ginkel doing the late-inning heavy lifting these days.
Mason Montgomery beasted it again, adding 3 SV along with a 3:1 K:BB. No runs. Dude seems to be locked all the way in as Pirates closer for the remainder.
Hogan Harris had 2 SV for the A’s, striking out 5 and allowing just one baserunner over three scoreless. Control has been an issue all year, but it wasn’t this week. Over his last 30 Days, he’s got 6 SV, 2 HLD, and a 16:5 K:BB over 11.2 IP. If he’s there and you need SVHD or SV, gotta be done.
Kodai Senga had 2 SV across three scoreless. No hits but did walk a pair.
The Rockies are happy to let Jordan Romano continue to do his thing regardless of the results, so if you’re on your last straw to be grasped, here ya go. He did convert 2 SV this week but also blew one and took a loss against my Cardinals.
If you’re not quite to your last straw, you could consider Calvin Faucher since Pete Fairbanks is back on the IL with more nerve issues. Faucher has actually been great over the last 30: 12.2 IP, 6 H, 1 ER, 12:3 K:BB.
On the holds side, Rico Garcia picked up a pair over two scoreless. Walked none but also K’d none, allowing two hits. Overall, he’s been awesome all season long and is still clinging to a spot on the Player Raters above.
Nate Lavender added 2 HLD, striking out 3 over 2.2 scoreless. He’s not sexy but he’s good enough.
Garrett Cleavinger is back on the IL, and it seems he needed to be with how horrible he’s been. I shouldn’t have held so long…anyway, you want Kevin Kelly and Tyler Wells if you can get ’em.
Jonathan Bowlan had 2 SV and a 5:0 K:BB, just a bummer that he also got tagged for a couple homers (solo at least). Jose Alvarado also had 2 HLD. I really don’t feel great about either one, but for what it’s worth to ya, Alvarado is pitching better over the last two weeks — Bowlan is struggling with the long ball, being taken deep in three of his last four outings.
Erik Miller is viable in deeper formats. Just had 1 HLD this week, and Garrett Whitlock is back, but Miller is definitely the #2 setup man and has been excellent over the last 30 days — 20:4 K:BB and just 1 ER in 11 IP.
Shoutout to Tejay Antone for 10 K this week! That’s Mason Miller level stuff! Pitched four scoreless, allowing 2 H and 2 BB while earning 1 HLD.
That’s all for this week! Thanks for reading. Leave me a comment below so I feel all warm and fuzzy.

What are your thoughts on the Ty Johnson call up when Clevenger hit the IL? He immediately pitched the bottom of the seventh. Could he be a good source of holds and ratios?
Nah I wouldn’t put much stock there.
