If you are playing this fun little afternoon slate, let me reintroduce you to Casey Mize who brings a rejuvenated splitter and increased velocity on his fastball to this matchup. Those ingredients lead to more and more Ks. I will also be considering rostering the Orioles, a dangerous team for sure, but especially being in […]

Framber Valdez is out with a sore elbow. Feel a bit like I’m living in a Twilight Zone, where I say in the preseason, “Don’t draft (pitcher’s name) because they were injured last year or just so awful last year they must’ve been injured,” then everyone ignores that and pretends that a player’s injury is […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Happy Monday, Razzball faithful! Let’s get this out of the way first. Somehow, deeply rooted in my psyche, is that Britney Spears song. I did use it last year for a Ji-Hwan Bae post. But for reasons unknown, when I looked at the SP26-50 for this week, one obvious lede stood out. Then, after the […]
Please, blog, may I have some more? So, uh, how’s everybody’s team faring this week? Do you have any arms left? Does your fantasy league allow you to put your 2B in as pitcher, much like the major leagues? I’m pretty sure Mookie Betts could see some mound time by the end of the month at the rate injuries are going.
Please, blog, may I have some more?Grey and B_Don are here for another episode of the Razzball Fantasy Baseball Podcast! This week is a bit of a downer as we go over all the big injuries from last week. A moment of silence for all the fantasy baseball owners of Spencer Strider, Shane Bieber, Eury Perez, and Trevor Story. Don’t forget […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Welcome back again, folks. While I can’t say that I’m happy with myself for coming up with the title for this week’s MI article, I must say that I’m pretty proud of it. While Cody Rhodes finished his story at Wrestlemania XL, MLB had a Story of its own finished… albeit temporarily. Trevor Story suffered […]
Please, blog, may I have some more? It’s hard to not sound like a prick when discussing starters who I clearly said to avoid who are now injured. I could say something kind like, “Hey, who could’ve seen this coming? Not me, man! Totally out of nowhere! Wow, Shane Bieber needs Tommy John surgery? Crazy! Was he even hurt last year? He was? I had no idea! A 60-day IL stint last year due to his elbow? That is crazy! I am learning that for the first time!”
Please, blog, may I have some more?Alright, here we go. Last week was like the first batch of cookies out of a new oven using new baking sheets. It was alright, but there were kinks to get sorted out. We’re good now. Dialed in and ready to roll. The only things that can stop us are inclement weather, fickle managers, and […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?We are barely over a week into the 2024 fantasy baseball season and if you are anything like me, injuries have ravaged. Between Trevor Story, Luis Robert Jr., and Royce Lewis we are all hurting and starting to plug holes in creative ways. This is the time of the season where a hot start can be nothing more than luck and a poor start could simply from facing Shane Bieber (too soon?). This week, we sift through some of those hot starts and figure out who can simply plug a lineup hole versus a potential breakout where you should be dropping some real FAAB. This is where season’s can certainly be won with an astute pickup or lost by hanging on too long to your drafts dreams. Welcome to hitter profiles for 2024 fantasy baseball!
Please, blog, may I have some more? The opening week always scares me, but we got off to an incredible start with our streamers. James Paxton, Sean Manaea, Javier Assad, Tanner Houck and MJ Melendez all performed beautifully last week, and it has me ready to keep rolling. This is one of the best times to capitalize on the waiver wire, and […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Opening night for most of the minor leagues featured Colt Emerson homering on the first pitch he saw, a self-reliant start for someone I expect to climb the prospect rankings in a hurry. That’s our focus for the day, by the way: who could top the prospect lists in 2025.
Please, blog, may I have some more? Now that the splendor of Opening Day has worn off and the deluge of baseball washes over us, becoming the white noise of our summer lives, you may be starting to worry about those slow-starting fantasy teams. Especially if your team spent a first round pick on Julio Rodriguez (no homers, .185 average and 41 […]
