Hey yo! We’re back for another episode of the Prospect Podcast with Michael Halpern of Imaginarybrickwall.com, and of course, Prospector Ralph Esq!!! In this week’s edition, Michael calls me out for the high energy tongue lashings I’m throwing around on the football side in the Razzball Dream League. We then jump back into prospects, and go through some young guns making noise lately in the minors like A.J. Puk, Alec Hansen, and Steven Duggar. We drool over the tools, and future superstar potential of High School heavyweight Hunter Greene. Yes, he’s a Crayola crayon color, and a baller. Michael runs through a couple of high upside, off the radar specs, in Yermin Mercedes and Harol Gonzalez. We then go through our top 10 corner infielders, and debate the value of Joey Gallo, Nick Senzel, Bobby Bradley, and Rafael Devers, among others. We round it out with those that just missed the cut, and some of the sleepers that are out there at 3rd and 1st. It’s the latest episode of the Razzball Prospect Podcast.

Note: And be sure to check out the latest Fantasy Football Podcast episode with special host Pod Vader (former ESPN producer) which covered BlogTalkRadio’s Expert League that Razzball is a part of!

Great stuff guys. I’m in a 14 team dynasty league that keeps 5 + 1 player who still has rookie eligibility. What are your top bats that keep rookie eligibility for next season? #1 is probably Moncada and then?

I have G. Sanchez and C. Frazier at the moment. Thanks!

@WCP: Thanks, WCP. Assuming guys like Reed and Gallo lose eligibility too, for next season I would go Moncada, Brinson, Brad Zimmer, Austin Meadows, and Frazier. Derek Fisher and Tapia could be dark horses too.

Looking forward to listening! Really loving the the extra razzball! (extrazzball?)

A little early, but curious about what you’re expecting from Judge and Tim Anderson next year. Trying to think about my final keeper spot! These guys are both $3-$5 next year and would probably be contending with a $5 Schoop and $6 Khris for the final 2 keeper spots…

      • Duda Want to Build a Snowman? says:

@Ralph Lifshitz: Thanks! Ozuna $4 is another option, but his really poor second half has me concerned that the first half was BABIP fueled in part. Schoop/Khrush hae been pretty consistent all year, even as they ebb and flow.

@Duda Want to Build a Snowman?: Yeah I take Davis over both of them and Schoop is a MI w/ power. I’m not crazy about Ozuna

Any confidence in Joe Musgrave and his upcoming two start week (vOAK and @TEX)?

@Noam: Like the first one but not second. He’s a rookie so he’ll be up and down.

@Ralph Lifshitz: No, not if you’re expecting me to save you any money on your insurance.

@Tony C: depends on the mood but Onleyville was on the way back to Taunton. Stopped there a lot

12 team, H2H, 6X6. Which one for ROS…Pineda or Shoemaker?

      @Happyharry: Shoemaker.

  7. Roll of SAGNOF, Hear my Cry says:

What do you think of Ryon Healy and Jharel Cotton?

I’ve got both of them on the cheap, in an AL Dynasty.

I’m hoping Healy develops and can replace Josh Donaldson in 2018 as my starting 3B, but I’m not sure if he will stick at 3B for the A’s.

Cotton had the CG shutout, but has since been lit up for the runs.

Would you trade the two of them for a $1 Cameron Maybin?

    • Ralph Lifshitz

      Ralph Lifshitz says:
      (link)

@Roll of SAGNOF, Hear my Cry: I like Cotton and think Healy is a streamer type in a 12 team league. Chapman is the 3b of the future. Yeah I might but Maybin can’t stay healthy.

@Boris: For this year yes, but I’m confident he can make adjustments and hit in the majors

Is Lucas Giolito worth a pickup for Sunday’s start? My league has a pickup limit of 70 for the regular season and I’m up to 61 today. Playoffs start in Week 22. In our playoffs we’re limited to 3 pick-ups per week in a 12 team H2H. Thanks Ralph

    • Tony C says:

I’d be dropping Robbie Ray, Dan Norris, or possibly Blake Snell.

      • Ralph Lifshitz

@Tony C: Hmmm not sure he’s struggled and hasn’t really gone very deep into games in his MLB starts

Diggin the pods, haven’t gotten to this one yet, but will be listening over the weekend during a long drive.

Question for you… I know you’ve been waiting on Jose de Leon to come up and I’ve been hearing he could start in Kazmir’s place tomorrow. Obviously still skeptical on that actually happening. Though they did toss Urias right into the fire earlier this year.

I’m in a QS (no wins) roto league and have a spot to grab him tonight just in case. Likely don’t have the hang-me-downs to roll him out there against the Cubs should he get the nod. Why has he only thrown 75ish innings (per Fangraphs) this year? Haven’t exactly been keeping tabs on him. Thx Ralph!

      Ralph Lifshitz says:

@knucks: A long drive and nothing but our voices to keep you company. Buy a my pet monster. They make excellent companions.

They should callup De Leon, no word yet though!

His season started late due to injury, he got hurt in his first start and then was on the shelf until early June

  12. David says:

Ralph, what are your thoughts about Dubon? When do you see him in the bigs? With Bogaerts at SS, do you see Boston trading him, moving him to another position, or using him as trade bait? Thanks

  13. OJ Simpson says:

in a 12 team 5×5 OBP QS h2h league and we can keep 6.

    I have
    Bundy
    Benintendi
    Dahl
    Sano
    Odor
    Bregman
    Taillon
    Nola
    Franco
    VIllar

assuming equal keep value who are your 6?
