We have ten games on the FanDuel Main Slate today, so plenty of great options. The biggest concern for today is the weather in several locations, which will require monitoring up until lock. On days like today, the best thing to do is look for ways to maximize value. To do that, we’ll first take a look at Rogelio Armenteros ($5,600). Armenteros has a deflated salary due to his role with the Astros in his previous appearances, where he was pitching out of the bullpen. He is fully stretched out, though, with a recent appearance for Round Rock where he threw 95 pitches, so we should not expect too short of a leash today. Let’s take advantage of the low salary and make Armenteros our featured start.

Blake Snell, SP: $10,000. On the other end of the starter spectrum is Snell, who is not underpriced. He is facing the White Sox at home today, though, so he is still expected to return value, even though he has not delivered in three of his past four starts.
Boston Red Sox – We’ve heard this before, but with by far the highest implied run total of the slate, the Red Sox will likely be the most owned, so we should focus on this stack in cash lineups and look to fill out GPP lineups with players who are not as likely to be highly owned. Everything about this game is a like from a hitting standpoint. Order of preference: J.D. Martinez, OF: $3,800, Jackie Bradley Jr., OF: $2,500, Rafael Devers, 3B: $4,500, Mookie Betts, OF: $4,400, Andrew Benintendi, OF: $3,500, Michael Chavis, C/1B: $3,000, Xander Bogaerts, SS: $4,200, Brock Holt, 2B: $2,600, Christian Vazquez, C/1B: $2,700
Cleveland Indians – This is contingent upon them even playing today, but the conditions look good for hitting if they do, and the Indians have the second highest expected run total today vs. the Royals. If it’s a late start closer to lock, put in some lineups with Cleveland stacks anyway. It’s worth the risk to gain exposure to this game if they wait it out. Order of preference: Francisco Lindor, SS: $4,000, Jake Bauers, C/1B: $2,700, Jason Kipnis, 2B: $3,300, Carlos Santana, C/1B: $4,300, Jose Ramirez, 3B: $4,100, Roberto Perez, C/1B: $2,600, Oscar Mercado, OF: $3,600
I’m Only Happy When It Rains
We have a massive weather system moving from the upper Midwest into the northeast US, and it will likely affect some games. It may not result in PPD’s, but delays, which could cause some SP problems, are likely. The games in Detroit, Cincinnati and Cleveland could all be problem areas from the outset, and Pittsburgh will see the chances of a delay skyrocket as the game moves on (look for them to do what other teams have done this season and move the game time up an hour).
Doing Lines In Vegas
Under 10.5 in New York looks good here. Colorado is horrible on the road, and both Paxton and Marquez are capable of shutting down opposing lineups.
