Here we go, back again for some more DFS at Razzball. Not too many chances left in what has been a weird, wild, fun season. So let’s get down to business. Not the first name that comes to mind for an outfield option, but don’t forget Kevin Pillar (OF: $3,300) was traded to Coors where everyone can smash. Really any Rockies (or A’s) outfielder is a worthy consideration but let’s focus on the guy who might otherwise get overlooked. The power should go up and he’s chipping some speed. He has a great projection from the bot, making him one of your best bets today.

Wasn’t planning to feature (Alex Dickerson, OF: $3,200) here today but after that offensive explosion (5 for 6 with 3 big boys) I say jump right back in those flames. After all he is still in Coors. Maybe don’t expect a repeat power barrage but he did blast another one a couple nights ago and I think that gets him at bats today even with a lefty on the mound. How exciting that there are actually some Giants hitters worth picking for DFS.

Please, blog, may I have some more?Now here’s a surprise, Donovan Solano (2B: $3,300) is red hot and even though the G-men aren’t the strongest supporting cast he has found a way. The top part of the order can lead to good things no matter who you are or what the rest of the team looks like. The average is sky high and shockingly he’s near the top of the league in delicious RBIs. Mix that all together and we have a supreme sundae. Coors is just the cherry on top. Let Donovan take you to the promised land.
Please, blog, may I have some more?In last week’s preview, we covered the Arizona Diamondbacks. For this week, we’re deep-diving to the bottom of the NL West to find the Giants. Many naive San Fran fans will tell you that this is their year since it’s an even year (2020) but that’s a pretty stupid notion if you look at this team. The championship days are certainly a thing of the past and it’s crazy just how far this team has fallen since then.

Today I will continue my proud tradition of not watching football and instead focus on the most notable fantasy prospects in the San Francisco Giants organization. As usual, they don’t have a true blue chip prospect. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t players on this farm who will develop into good fantasy pieces. In fact, over the past few years the Giants have been pretty good at bringing guys up that weren’t on the prospect radar and presto-changeo they are suddenly on everybody’s fantasy team. Matt Duffy comes to mind. Joe Panik is another. The pitching-friendly home park and the Giants’ success in developing arms also makes the pitching prospects a little more interesting than they’d normally be.
Please, blog, may I have some more?I’m in three dynasty leagues that I impulsively attend to. I’m all about the win-now, so I’ll trade my top prospects for immediate impact. In all three of these leagues, I was looking to displace an empty prospect slot, and with my MLB catchers lacking value…
The following catchers were already owned in at least 2/3rd’s of those leagues: Austin Hedges, Jorge Alfaro, Gary Sanchez, Blake Swihart (be me, in one league), Christian Bethancourt and Reese McGuire. Tom Murphy (probably because of his eventual stomping ground, Colorado) and Stryker Trahan are also owned in at least one of the leagues.
